I went for happy hour and sat at the bar. Had a great time. Food was delicious. Server/ bartender was lovely. The ambiance is cool and was not busy. Bathrooms are super clean and nice too. Also prices were very reasonable.

This is getting old. I've been eating at this restaurant since 1992. Given the price point, everything should be near perfect each and every time. If you read my previous review, of which I never heard back from the restaurant, even after contacting them directly, I'm a gift card or two away from being done with Jimmy Kelly's. Had dinner there a couple of evenings ago. While service was outstanding, both at the bar and at our table, once again the kitchen blew it. I ordered the porterhouse, Pittsburgh medium rare. Looked great when it was delivered (see picture), but when I cut into it, it was well done. Of course they made it right and brought another, albeit considerably smaller than the first one, but it disrupted the entire evening. By the time the other one arrived the sides were cold. They were replaced, but that was yet another delay. I really like the relatively new GM and I should've said something to him, but instead, I'm not sure I'll ever be back. This happening once, shame on them. My allowing it to happen a second time, shame on me. Beautiful restaurant, I love the history behind it, including the previous owners book, but too many other options in Nashville to tolerate constant screw ups.

Enjoyed a recent business dinner here in a semi private room. The food was much better than I remember from my last visit right after the pandemic. The food had improved and service was fantastic. Great establishment in business over 50yrs in Nashville

This restaurant has been there forever. This is the place you go where you want to be with close friends or business partners where service, ambience and cuisine achieve equality. Personally I love the chilean Seabass with crab stuffing. Steak lovers will find what they need with their aged grain fed beef. You don't have to have a tie and a jacket but you'll feel right at home with one. I've been there many times. Highly recommended.

Jimmy Kelly's is a Nashville staple and it's always amazing. The sides are just as good as the steak- and that's saying something! Jeff was very attentive and so nice. We went early before an event and it's happy hour if you go before 6 pm! The sides are enough for 3 people each I think- so for two you could split one side with your entree and it would be plenty, but we wanted to have both and I'm glad we did! We love that it feels like a nice Nashville special dinner but it's not stuffy or stuck up- I was in jeans and a nice sweater and didn't feel out of place but have definitely dressed up more for a meal here before - so a wide range of attire is fine! The Ralph Lauren style is true and authentic here. Let's keep old Nashville here by supporting these staples that aren't on Broadway.

This was our best visit ever! The new owner is Steve Smith who owns Tootsies amount other things. He add a full sized bar downstairs which was badly needed. Then he added an upstairs dining room with full bar that is gorgeous! Everything we had was better than any trip there prior. Everything... ambience, wait staff, presentation, and food quality was heads and shoulders above previous visits.

Our first time here and such a huge disappointment . The kind of good news is that we had purchased gift cards during their promotion of 50% off. So a $400 meal which was only 2 entrees and no alcohol actually only had a $240 cost to us which was still too much for quality and service. Our waiter was actually very nice however the lack of great service is evident. They have staff that also brings food to table which is presented as if they're working in a coffee shop from the plates being presented perpendicular to us to not knowing what they're serving or caring about it either. The crab cakes were the best item of the night just heavy with sauce. Caesar salad subpar and too much dressing. The ribeye and strip were mediocre at best - both on the tough side and flavorless. Brussels sprouts sounded good from description but overly soggy and too sweet. Potatoes zero flavor but served hot. Our meal for 3 with only 2 entrees and no drinks. It's hard to image how they stay in business when you can go to our favorite steak house, The Oak and get a 16 oz ribeye for only $2 more and have impeccable service and a much better ambiance. Sadly not for us.

Have been going here since 1990. 35 years later (even though we left Nashville in 1993) it's still my favorite restaurant in Nashville and the only one I patronize any time I am in town. In part because I have good memories there and it's familiar. The bar and main dining area is 'basically unchanged, comfortable and familiar. The addition beyond that which was there in 1990 is indicative of the growth Nashville' has seen since then. But what brings me back is the food, service and welcoming atmosphere. The service has always been great (tip of the hat to Mr.Fred Lee, now retired). Our waiter this week (Jeff) did a great job of fielding requests and handling two old men who had not seen one another in several years and wanted to catch up. As always the corn cakes are great. The Bone-In Ribeye was fantastic and the Filet with Lump crabmeat and lobster tail excellent - medium rare exactly as ordered. You will not find another spot like it . 92 years in operation with multiple generations of the Kelly family in charge. Simple approach...... good steak, attentive service and if so inclined good wine or excellent whiskey. Mike Kelly has added a lot to the restaurant' without losing touch with the original. It's very very rare I find an establishment worthy of 5 Stars yet I can't find a reason not to in this case. Give it a try if you are in town, I can't imagine you will be anything but pleased with your decision.

We went here for a work dinner and were placed in the private dining room. We sat in a big square formation. I believe we had about 20 people in our group and the room fit us comfortably, although some were kind of "stuck" once they sit down. The room was dark (intimate lighting), however based on the number of people using their phone lights for ambiance, led me to believe more than one person felt it was too dark in the room. I thought it was fine (I did not have my phone light on). We had one server for our room and she was a PRO - so good, she was kind, patient and fun. She made suggestions for food and drink and also told us the history of the restaurant (it was the 75th anniversary year in 2024). We all shared appetizers that consisted of corn cakes, onion rings, muscles, Brussel sprouts. They were all great and 3 order each were plenty for the room. Because it was a work dinner, I decided I would try to order something from the lesser expensive options. I ordered the JK Classic Burger. It was perfectly cooked at medium, juicy and flavorful. The fries were ok - they were coated, which made them heavier than normal fries. Overall great food with amazing flavors, great service and a cool history behind this business.

On our trip to Nashville, TN earlier this year we got to try a delicious dinner at this famous restaurant Their service is amazing and the ambiance is just perfect. . - Cornbread Pancakes - Ribeye w/Roasted Garlic Butter - Crab Stuffed Sea Bass w/Lemon-Dijon & Herb Oil - Creamed Corn Brûlée - Lobster Tail . Everything was so exquisite, definitely worth a visit when you are in Nashville. They are celebrating their 90 years!

I adore Jimmy Kelly's. A Nashville OG still standing up to all the newcomers. Off the main drag in a beautiful old house. Valet Parking. I hope they thrive for another 70 years

We started off with a round of champagne and a bottle of red wine for dinner. We tried a variety of dishes since we were told that the set up is family style: Hamachi Crudo: 10/10 one of the best I've ever had! Super fresh and the sauce paired well with it. Bluefin Tune Crudo: 8/10 It was really fresh and well prepared, but I've had better elsewhere. I typically prefer bluefin tuna sashimi or nigiri anyway. Tuna Crispy Rice: 9/10 This was such a fun and delicious way to eat spicy tuna! All of the seasonings made it packed full of flavor. Tomahawk Ribeye 9/10: This was insanely tender, and well seasoned. Tip: ask for lemon wedges to sprinkle some lemon juice on it--thank me later. Broccolini 8/10: well prepared, and I loved the lemongrass garlic chili that topped it East Side Shrimp 7/10: These were well cooked and well seasoned. Loved the salad placed underneath it. Wagyu Tartare 8/10: It was well prepared and loved that it's paired with nori and rice. Wished it had a bit more punch to it in terms of seasoning. Crab Fried Rice 8/10: this was delicious but still say it's a solid 8. Beautifully prepared! Korean Hot Wings 2.5/10: I could tell that it was well cooked, but it was insanely salty; it was practically inedible. Hurricane Fries 9/10: These were so delicious! You are immediately hit with the smell of truffle, which made my mouth water. Packed with flavor! Brussels 7/10: These were well roasted, but the sauce was a tad too sweet for my liking. I highly recommend trying this place out!

By the bar we got to see some of the dishes being made. Great date night spot. Limited parking. This is a tapas spot and our serve did a good job recommending how many dishes to get. The only reason Noko is not getting 5 stars is because the server said that they would time out the dishes for us, so it was best to place our entire order all at once. However, we got 3 dishes and then it took about 30 minutes for other two to come out. Maybe we were eating too fast but felt like we were waiting a while for our food. The food itself was absolutely delicious. There was nothing we ordered that I did not like. Some favorites include the burnt ends lettuce wraps and Korean chicken wings. The Sando, shrimp and tuna crispy rice was also spectacular. The tuna was so flavorful and refreshing on the tuna crispy rice. The sauce of the east side shrimp really makes the dish. I'm not a huge shrimp person but this was really good. This is a must go to spot in Nashville and would definitely want to come back.

Harper's is undoubtedly a one-of-a-kind restaurant. The calamari is a highlight, a little salty for my taste but one of the best versions in town. The shrimp was huge and prepared perfectly! The cocktail sauce was very nice, but I like extra horseradish, which they happily provided. Next up was their Prime Skirt Steak and the sides I chose was their creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to a perfect temperature and the chimichurri was so very tasty with it! The mashed potatoes were nice. The creamed spinach looked beautiful and the texture was spot-on, but it had slightly too much nutmeg in it - Still, I enjoyed it. I wanted to save room for dessert though because I was yearning for their Butter Pie, which I ordered eventually. The butter pie definitely didn't disappoint! The bar has two hidden TVs that you can only see when you sit at the bar, which is such a cool touch. It keeps the space feeling upscale without sacrificing the ability to catch a game. The overall ambiance is great, and the music is always at the perfect volume for an easy conversation. The drinks have been consistently excellent. We've tried both cocktails and wine, and everything has been delicious. The wine is a little overpriced in our opinion, but it was so good that I'm glad we still ordered it! On our most recent visit, we started with the burrata. It was very good, but I do wish there had been more sauce and more cantaloupe. The sauce felt more like an accent than something that really tied the dish together. That said, the perfect bite was definitely the burrata with the prosciutto and cantaloupe! For our entrees, Jonathan ordered the pork chop, and I had the piri piri chicken. Both came with broccolini and patatas bravas. I was expecting traditional Spanish-style patatas bravas, so when whole baby potatoes showed up, I was initially a little disappointed. Don't let that fool you, though--these potatoes were incredible!!! Crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and packed with flavor! They ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal! My piri piri chicken was fantastic! The portion was much larger than I expected, and the piri piri sauce served on the side was absolutely lick-the-plate good. I found myself dipping the potatoes and broccolini in it because it was just that delicious. Piri piri isn't something you come across often in Nashville, and The Finch absolutely nails it--and at a really reasonable price. Jonathan's pork chop was cooked perfectly with great flavor. It wasn't an over-the-top, show-stopping dish, but for around $30--including both sides--at a more upscale restaurant, it's hard to beat the value. One more recommendation: get the volcano rock shrimp. We had it on a previous visit, and we still talk about it! It's easily one of our favorite dishes we've had here. The Finch has been consistently good every time we've visited, and that's what keeps bringing us back! Great food, great drinks, a fun atmosphere, and solid value for the quality. We'll definitely be back again!
