Did a large carryout order here for a dinner for a group. The order was easy to place and the food was delicious. The only downside was that the food was packed in their own trays but they didn't have disposable boxes to transport the food in but their own box which would have to return later. We ordered beef pad see ew, shrimp pad Thai, and basil dish for the trays of food. These were generous portions with the trays being filled to the brim and saran wrapped and covered. We also had entree sized orders of green curry, panang curry and chicken fried rice. The pricing too is pretty good in comparison to other Thai places in the area.

Coming to Jimmy's is like walking into Cheers Bar. Jimmy, May, and the staff know our name...and our food preferences. Tonight I was exhausted and couldn't get myself to make one more decision. Instead, I told Jimmy to surprise me. Six minutes later he brought out a piping hot plate of Pad Ped chicken, extra vegetables, no carrots, extra basil, medium spicy. It was just what I wanted on this cold December night. Hospitality this welcoming is unusual and why Jimmy's is our kitchen away from home.

Cool and casual place with very attentive staff. Green curry was tasty. I'd like a few more veggies in it, hence the 4. Steamed potstickers were delicious too. Might be back.

I have been coming here for years and I've never had a bad meal. Jimmy Thai is located in a mall with plenty of parking, however it does get very busy during lunch hour, I usually try to beat the lunch rush by coming in at 1PM. Inside there's plenty of spaces with a bar. You'll most likely be greeted by the owner with a friendly smile. You'll be given a complimentary bottled water which is so refreshing because some places give you smelly tap water. The food is a cross between Thai food and Japanese ramen. I usually alternate between the lunch special and the Ramen. The lunch specials are a great deal and the ramen is awesome on cold days. The Ramen is really good I always opt out for the spicy tonkotsu with pork. The broth is nice and thick and flavorful and the noodles and pork are great as well. This is a grat spot to dine in for some asian dishes and the service is second to none.

Another excellent meal at Jimmy Thai. This time had the pad thai and it was wonderful. Service here was very attentive and food came to the table quickly. Portion was very generous, which was perfect since I was really hungry having skipped lunch and had a minimal breakfast. Will be back now that I've tried one of their thai dishes after a nice bowl of ramen last time.

It had been awhile since we've had dinner here and once again, JT didn't disappoint! We waited a few minutes to be seated (the place was packed) and the server came out right away. The food came out piping hot and quickly too. The best Basil chicken I've had -- this has become my go to dish here. Along with tofu pad Thai and the Thai spring rolls, it was a delightful dinner. Solid service and prices make this a top Thai choice in the area.

I have been meaning to try Jimmy Thai for quite some time as I think it is one of the last restaurants in Deerfield that I haven't tried. But it has just never worked out for whatever reason. Perhaps since they are closed on Sundays and we often seem to go out for dinner on Sundays. I haven't had Thai food in a good while but I recall the last Thai food I had to be underwhelming with the food not being nearly as flavorful as I had hoped. Thankfully, that was not the case at Jimmy Thai. I ordered some Chicken Pad Thai and it was quite flavorful and very enjoyable. My wife ordered the Beef Pad See Ew and it was also very good. I had a bite of my daughter's Tofu Golden Noodles and liked that too. We were greeted quickly when we arrived. We were also given a few bottles of water right away which seemed a little strange to me but they were nice and cold so that worked for me. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. There was plenty of seating inside and plenty of parking outside. I can't really think of anything that we weren't pleased with. We enjoyed our dining experience and plan on coming back.

Jimmy Thai in Deerfield is a hidden gem that offers a delightful range of Thai dishes as well as Ramen noodles. We have ordered carry-outs from Jimmy Thai a number of times. Most recently, we had Pad Thai with Tofu, Pad See Ew with beef, and Thai Fried Rice with shrimp to go. The Pad Thai at Jimmy Thai is a masterpiece of balance and texture. The noodles are perfectly cooked, not too soft or chewy. The dish is slightly tangy with a hint of sweetness, complemented by the crunch of fresh bean sprouts and the nutty undertone of crushed peanuts. The Pad See Ew with beef is a comforting, hearty dish that showcases the restaurant's expertise in stir-frying. The broad rice noodles are slightly charred, giving them a smoky flavor that pairs wonderfully with the savory soy sauce. The beef is cooked to perfection. Jimmy Thai's Thai Fried Rice with shrimp is a standout for its simplicity and depth of flavor. The rice is light and fluffy, and the shrimp are cooked just right, maintaining their natural sweetness and a slight snap. Its carry-out service is impressive, making it a reliable option for those nights when you crave quality Thai food at home. The ordering process is smooth and efficient, whether you place your order online or over the phone. The staff is prompt and courteous, often going the extra mile to ensure that your order is accurate and that you have everything you need for a satisfying meal at home. Tip - if you check in Jimmy Thai using the Yelp app, you would get a 10% discount. To get the discount for ordering carry-out on line, you have to pick the pay by cash option. This doesn't mean that you have to pay by cash. Instead of using credit card to pre-pay during the online ordering process, you have to pay at the restaurant when you pick up the order (using credit card or other means), show them the 10% discount coupon on your phone from the Yelp app and they would adjust the bill accordingly. Suggestion to Yelp or Jimmy Thai on the offering of discount to Yelp members. Instead of using the electronic coupon and pay at the restaurant, may be Yelp members can be provided with a promotion code when they order online. We can then input the promotion code and pay with our credit card during the online ordering process. This will make the ordering process more streamlined, and we don't need to pay at the restaurant.

My family and I had been wanting to go to this location for a while and a recent weeknight presented a perfect opportunity to check out this establishment. Located in a small plaza in front of the Westin hotel, this Chicago Ramen is a nice little spot for grabbing a delicious bowl (or two) of ramen. Upon our arrival, we were seated promptly. Our friendly server provided the menus and shortly after was ready to take our order; however, we were not ready yet and took a bit longer to order. The menu was a condensed version of what I have seen at the Des Plaines location. There were six Ramen options, a handful of appetizers, extra toppings options, and beverage options. Also, there was a Ramen special menu and a Kids menu. A few minutes later, we placed our order of 1) Edamame, 1) Karage, 2) Shrimp Wonton Ramen, and 1) White Miso Ramen. The apps of Edamame and Karage came out soon and the ramen bowls followed shortly. The Karage were freshly cooked. The Karage were chunky, meaty and plump chicken nuggets. The meat was juicy and tender, and they were lightly battered. The flavor was decent and the texture was okay. I felt that a bit more frying would have helped it taste better. My Shrimp Wonton Ramen was the start dish for me. It was everything I wanted as far as the flavor of the broth and the texture of the noodles, shrimp, and wonton were concerned. The broth was hot and fresh. It had a nice savory flavor and I added some of the table side condiments for extra umami and spicy taste. The noodles were of the right texture where they had body and good slurp-a-bility factor without being soggy and sloppy. The White Miso Ramen was a nice creamy and rich broth that came loaded w/ cuts of pork that were tender. It was also delicious. I enjoyed my bowl of ramen a lot and managed to finish it instead of having leftovers. It hit the spot perfectly. We had a good experience and would go back. If you haven't been to this spot, then definitely check them out.

However, it has been our go-to place for ramen takeout for some time now, this review is focused on their takeout ramen. After about two years' time, we have narrowed our preferences to the Red Miso Ramen with Egg and the White Miso Ramen with Egg. Both ramen comes with a big piece of Cha-Shu (pork), bamboo shoot, and green onion. The Cha-Shu is very tender and flavorful, and the egg cooked just right. The ramen noodles are bouncy with the right texture. When it comes to broth, the White Miso Ramen is definitely a winner over the Red Miso. I found the broth of the Red Miso a little too thick and there is a taste that makes it less pleasant than the other. There is ground pork in the broth of the White Miso, which adds flavor and complexity to the texture. Portions used to be very big, and I used to have leftovers. However, recently portions have shrunk and I could finish the entire bowl of White Miso Ramen with Egg in one meal with no problems. It would not be enough to feed someone with a bigger appetite than me. They had made a couple of mistakes in our takeout orders a year ago. Since then, they have been accurate with the orders and timing has also improved. I am pleased to have Chicago Ramen in our neighbor town, and a bowl of tasty ramen is so close by. I just saw that they have added Shrimp Wonton Ramen (and two other items) to their menu recently. Next time I might give that a try.

We ordered lunch specials and a couple extra must-try plates. Two specials hit the table and the third was left waiting for her meal. Unbeknownst to us in the moment, her food was handed to a single patron there for his lunch. The place was filling up with a lunch rush but not so many that had complicated orders. Many were ordering similar lunch specials. Kung pao lunch special was popular. When her order finally arrived the supervisor realized she had given the wrong plate to the customer sitting some tables behind us. Mind you ten minutes had already passed. She quickly went over to him and asked what he had ordered. She then took the plate he was eating from and handed him the fresh plate. He was still holding a half eaten egg roll in his hand. Then she brought the quarter eaten plate and placed it in front of my mother. Before she could leave I stopped her and asked her what she was doing. She simply stated that was her lunch order. I told her she handed my mother someone else's food that they were eating and I watched the whole thing. Why didn't you take that to the back and make a completely new plate of food?! I paid the bill and got the F**k out. That's gross. Also, you gave the other patron new food but cannot do the same for our table?? This place is dead to me. If she could do that, it beckons the question of what else is happening behind the scenes.
