A nice lady greeted me at the cash register. My order was ready to go on time. There was a sign at the register stating that an order of sweet potato fries is smaller than an order of regular fries. I'm not sure why that is. Each order actually had the same amount of fries, but the fries were scant. The burgers are good size, but they were definitely lacking in flavor. They were OK, but for the price, I wish they had been tastier. Years ago, I tried this spot, so I was re-trying it. They are one of the few non-chain options nearby. Always clean, made to order and they are always located in a shopping mall with ample parking. A regular here, the burgers are huge (1/2 lbs), juicy and tasty and the fries are crispy. I sometimes get onion rings. All the burgers I've tried whether it's a simple cheese burger or the supreme burger with fried eggs, have not disappointed me. They also have good chicken sandwiches which my boyfriend sometimes order. The place is clean. Price is average, combo usually is around $13 to $15 which includes a drink and a side. I couldn't. They were closed. I was not very happy about it either. I was so looking forward to it only to find that out when I got there. I was so disappointed too. I have heard great things about this place and how good it was and then this happened. I thought all burger places were open at least 7 days a week, but nope not them. What a shame. And to think I drove a very long way just to come there and try it out. They really should re-think staying open 7 days a week at least. This would really make everyone including myself very happy. Ok. I've eaten here once before, but guessing I forgot to review it. So, have some things to note. I wanted a little spice, so got the habanero cheeseburger and spicy fries 1, let's start with the fries (since it's first thing I eat sure to limited shelf life since cold fries are nasty). They also were overcooked and served very greasy, so all I could really taste was the oil they're cooked in. Now the primary reason for coming here... The burger. I ordered the habanero cheeseburger since spicy food is an addiction and I need my "fix". I looked and there were noticeably habaneros on it and quite a few, so odd that I got no spice from it, more than a slightly runny nose. I'm not understanding how since c literally see a pile of peppers on the burger. The veggies taste fresh, bun seems toasted, meat had decent flavor and thickness. It's also normally served "dry" so if want mustard, Mayo, ketchup, etc on it, you have to ask for it (I got mustard). It also comes with mushrooms, which I opted out of getting. After seeing the great reviews we decided to make a drive and try it out. I'd give the burger 3 stars but the chicken sandwich 5 stars. The candied bacon burger lacked flavor and might have been better with thousand island or bbq sauce. However, the Dam' Mash Burger (grilled chicken) was excellent. This is a family owned business with amazing hamburgers and sides and it's quiet with great food and it's a walk up kind of thing where you order at the cash register but really their hamburgers are great and if you want something that's better than McDonald's. This is the place to go I really can't make it any simpler than that and I feel sorry for them I don't think they get the traffic that they deserve. My wife thought this was the best burger joint in town, I've had one of their burgers before and I thought it was good but not great. Anyway, she wanted a Jimmy's burger and onion rings so that's what I got her. $8 for the burger, $5 for the onion rings. A little pricey if you ask me, but I knew how much I was paying when I ordered. What I DIDN'T know was how small of a portion of onion rings I'd be getting for $5...6 small onion rings, to be exact. Guess who's back! We ordered from Jimmy's Big Burger again -- that's how great their burgers are. We ordered a Hawaiian Burger, a Chipotle Cheese Burger, a Jalapeño Cheese Burger, and Sweet Potato Fries. As always, their burgers are quite big which is a plus. With an entire burger, your appetite will be satiated. The Hawaiian Burger is the go-to burger if you're looking for something sweet. It has pineapple, ham, swiss cheese, and teriyaki sauce in addition to your typical burger's vegetables. It wasn't personally a favorite of mine because I'm not a fan of sweet burgers, but if you are, you should definitely give this a try. The Chipotle Cheese Burger is probably the best out of the three burgers that were ordered. It was spicy yet slightly sweet. If I had to compare it to anything, it was very similar to adobo. It's one of my favorites as well as their Habanero Cheese Burger. There wasn't anything particularly special about the Jalapeño Cheese Burger -- rather, it was probably our least favorite. It tasted just like a regular cheeseburger. Their sweet potato fries are always good. I would always recommend it. My only complaint about this particular order was the number of sweet potato fries we received was a good amount less than the previous order -- in the previous order, we received our fries in a bigger box while this last order, the fries were in a smaller box. Previously, we were able to share the fries amongst ourselves without problems, but this time, we only had about 3-4 pieces per person. Aside from the sweet potato fries, everything else was definitely worth their price. Jimmy's Big Burger may be on the pricier side for some, but their burgers are definitely worth a try. read more

I would have expected a freshly made hand coated onion ring with my freshly made hamburger. What I got, and what they showed on the menu, was a diced frozen onion ring like you buy at the store.
