A long standing location, popular with the South Asian community and consistently busy, this location has repeatedly failed to meet the standard others have set for it. Their service and selection both are sub-par for the amount of business and prices that they have on offer. The service is wholly impersonal, with a clear desire to move you through the line. Multiple times I've experienced the cashier unaware of menu updates, availabilities, changes or even descriptions. Furthermore, there is always staff consistently out in the open talking regardless of the crowd. It's simply sub-optimal for any experience. The food on its own also stands as less than enjoyable, and from many years and many choices, the quality level is clearly persistent across the board. Whether it be portion size, preparation/presentation or even just the taste itself, none of them make a truly enjoyable or redeeming experience for me, even holding price a separate consideration. After all this time, this location has consistently presented itself at this level of quality that makes it simply below average, and similar to certain other locations, has you coming back solely due to the vast support and popularity net holding them in. In the end however, despite whatever new options or selections, you'll simply be left disappointed. read more

I have been to this Restaurant a few times with family before and it's always been a decent experience. Now, I take that all back. We asked them to cater a wedding this past weekend and it was a horrible experience. They served stale food with a foul smell coming from the biryani. The caterer himself said they made the food days in advance, froze everything, and then reheated to serve to our guests. WHAT?! If you can't serve fresh food at an event, don't take the contract. We had ordered gulab jamun as desserts, and they served halwa. Absolutle garbage service. The owner doesn't care. Came here with the family and ordered: beef Philly cheesesteak, Alamo burger with jalepinos, cheese quesadillla and a chicken 65. Over all the food was very good and prepared fresh. Chicken 65: this was the best item that we had, it was actually a huge portion and the meat was tender, you can tell it was cooked well and Hugh quality meat. Unfortunately, it's not to spicy. Burger: the burger was barrage size and pretty good, but I prefer olive burger. Beef Philly: as for halal Phillys, this one is pretty good and a decent size. Make sure to ask for hit peppers. I have a relative that eats halal or kosher foods. This place has kosher hamburgers. There were several choices of meals and it reminded me a little like Five Guys in that you get a lot of fries with the order. My friends loved the onion rings, but I am not really a fan of onion rings. They have a mesquite burger which was quite good. I got a bacon cheeseburger and the bacon is turkey bacon, so that goes along with the kosher foods. The burgers were great and not overdone of over salted, like I had with Scotty P's. There was plenty of space for larger groups and the people were friendly. You do order at the counter. I always like places that carry Gold peak green tea. There was a skittles machine and one of those claw machines to keep the kids entertained temporarily. I will come back with family, especially those that eat halal. read more

I had seen this location months ago and marked it on Yelp. So the other day we wanted a burger and felt like trying something new. Upon arriving my radar went up when I noticed several other items advertised as available on the front window. I've discovered this is not a pure burger place and usually doesn't rise to a high burger standard if a large varied menu is available. So we approached the counter to order. Everyone was nice, the place is spacious well lit and clean. We ordered the Del Rio to share with fries. It was a strange afternoon time so only 2 other diners were there. It was taking quite awhile considering but, no hurry especially waiting on a potentially great new burger find right? Wrong! Wa, Wa, Waaaa..... I went to cut the burger in half and was having a hard time, I assumed it was the extra thick tomato. First rule slice the ubiquitous tomato thin as to overcome its lack of flavor and toughness. But, who cares really if you may be on the verge of a great new burger discovery right? So I pressed on finally getting it cut in half whe n I realized it was the meat I was having a time with. Sure enough the first bite revealed a tough tasteless patty that had been way overcooked. What a disappointment. So in my opinion if you get a burger this wrong it's never gonna be right. The fries were hand cut, fresh and delicious Bottom line I recommend you exhaust all other hamburger options in the area before going here. We have stopped going to any other desi restaurants ever since this location re-opened in Plano. All their food items taste great but the best thing here is to have non-spicy options available which is hard to find in most Indian/Pakistani restaurants. I would highly recommend their Bihari kabobs, malai boti, biryani and chicken cream karahi (all mildly spiced yet very flavorful) and the best of the best to top it all is their Gajar Halwa. Meh, that's the one word I could use to best describe this place. The service wasn't anything spectacular, but honestly I couldn't care, I was starving and hankering a delicious burger. Menu is a bit interesting, including many items beyond the typical burger joint. When we finally decided on a burger for my wife and I we opted from fries and tater tots. We showed up at an odd time of day, roughly 3pm so no one was around. Food didn't take long and since there were only 2 employees I could see that our food was being made fresh to order. Based on some of the previous complaints, this was a concern of mine. Ding, order is up, it's now time to devour our food like it was a scene in Jurassic Park. Gave the food a good whiff, couldn't wait. Sadly, it was far from that. The burgers didn't have any taste, fresh off the grill. More like a simple patty melt. Burgers are extremely well-done at this place. If you like any pink, I don't recommend this joint. Plenty of options out there. I was disappointed this time. We have been regulars pre-COVID, however when we visited this month, the dishes were not prepared the same way. Club sandwich was much smaller and on regular thin grocery store bread with rounded edges. Previously it used to be Texas size bread stacked up and cut into 4 neat triangles. This time with rounded edges and thin bread, they could only cut into tow. Nihari taste was same but the beef was tough. Pre-COVID, the beef used to be soft and easy to break and it would melt in our mouths. Not sure just Plano is like that and the chef has moved to the new location or what! read more

I went to Jimmy's for the first time today. Got chicken biryani, zinger chicken burger, cheese quesadillas and naans. Jimmy's the bomb. The chicken biryani is by far one of the best I have had in the 21 years I have been in the US (lived in three different states and had biryani at restaurants while traveling to many others). The biryani raita alone reminded me of what I used to enjoy growing up in Karachi. The zinger burger was a bit too spicy for my wife but it's as authentic as it comes. Oh, we are naan lovers. Their naan has got some legit flavor. This will be my go to place for desi food (and zinger burger) for sure moving forward. read more

This places went down hill since the day they opened. I walked in happy seeing that they remodeled the place. I walked up to the register and the guy just stood there and didn't say anything but looked at me in disgust. I mention the remodel and how it looked nice and he just completely ignored it. We had an horrible experience with this place. We catered from this place for a wedding and when it arrived all of the entrees that we told them to make were rotten and smelled like fish and like someone died in there. And for dessert we told them two dishes but instead they decided to give one tray of the dessert we ordered and added their own dessert and did not make extra of what we ordered. read more

After seeing the reviews for this place, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but I'm glad I ended up going. The food was delicious, especially the butter chicken. My only gripe for the food is that the vegetable samosas were clearly undercooked; one of the ends was still frozen. As for the service, it was pretty good! However, there was an employee by the front door, I assume to greet people, and he never said anything to us neither when we came in or when we left, and he gave my brother with special needs a very judgmental look.
