First time here. My 11 yr old granddaughter and I arrived at 10:30 on a Wednesday. Parking is easy. We had our choice of seats on two sides and selected a booth. The restaurant is spacious and includes counter service. The server Kylie pleasantly and quickly greeted us with a request for beverages. She was attentive and efficient throughout our stay. We ordered ice water. The decaf coffee ($3.19) with refill was excellent. Menus are in the table along with jelly, creamers, and ketchup. Many tables were occupied by seniors or families. The AC was pleasant as well as the subtle background music. There is a Seniors menu and one for Children. I had the Popeye Omelet ($12.79) with spinach, bacon, mushrooms, and jack cheese. It was folded in the correct omelet style. There were hardly any mushrooms (not fresh ones) in it. I could taste the bacon bits. There are two long lists of sides--one included with the meal and the other with upcharges. I selected Grits which was included and three strips of bacon which had a surcharge of $2.99. Grits were delicious, but it was a a meager half cup portion! See photo. Bacon was good. The portions in my selection would not have pleased someone with a larger appetite. No doggie bags needed here. Diners generally have more generous portions for about the same price or even less. Would have liked to try the home fries. Granddaughter ordered a Cheeseburger with American Cheese (plain) and regular fries as a side ($10.49). Curly fries were also available. The brioche roll was nicely buttered and toasted. She said burger was good. She is fussy and said patty was too wet. She is a fan of Five Guys. She rated the fries as average. Service was Five Stars. Ambiance was Four Stars. Food was Three Stars ---Prices are on high side. The children's menu looked very good, so I may return if young grands are with me. Or maybe not.

Definitely stop here for breakfast. Jimmy's Egg is the place to go. We came here twice in a row for breakfast. Why? They got an extensive menu so there is something for everyone. Staff is friendly and meals are tasty. On the weekends it's pretty busy. Do not mind the line as you enter. They will seat you shortly. We even bought 2 Jimmy's Egg mugs for they were so cute.

My wife & I had breakfast today and both really enjoyed the experience. She ordered the eggs Benedict with Corned beef hash and I went with the pancakes, eggs & meat combo. We both were very happy with the Corned Beef Hash, it's home made right on premises daily. Food came out exactly as we ordered, food was hot and tasty. Service was above normal... our waitress was named Racine according to our receipt and she was excellent. Anything we needed she provided rapidly and considering she had half the place to take care of. A huge Thank You for making the experience enjoyable!

It was my son's birthday and he wanted waffles. What's the place that's close to my house, thats open early so I can get back home by 8.30am to take a conference call and something that I haven't been to before.....the choices were limited but then there is this franchise that actually approached me for a loan while I was in lending. It's been more than 3 years since they have been open and I haven't been there....so today was the day. The reason I haven't been to is because they close early so they provide balance to their employees with kids (let them pick up or cater to kids after school hours). The food and service were good and efficient. We ordered berry berry waffles and omlette. My son was happy with the waffle and he said he would give them a 4 and I agree.

Stopped here on a whim because that thought the name was cool. It was very crowded but we waited. Zero minutes we were able to seat ourselves. Got a table right away. It took a little long for the ordering, but it was worth the wait. The food was delicious and the price was unbelievable, I must go when we're here in Albany. Kudos to the waitresses they really hustle and the coffee was delicious.

First of all we waited forever to be seated only to be gestured in the direction of a tiny little table for two that had been so freshly vacated that it still contained remnants of the last patrons meals... yum!Luckily we spotted another booth that had just opened up (after someone helped themselves to the first one that was made available before we could bat a lash). We get to the booth and I kid you not, the silverware and even the napkin that held them were dirty and stained. Despite all instincts of and inclinations towards self preservation I sanitized the silverware and proceeded to place a very simple order: Two Over Medium eggs and oatmeal, with brown sugar and cream cheese on the side and well, the brown sugar and cream cheese were about the only things satisfactory. The oatmeal was cold .... My over medium eggs were runny, bland and definitely not Over Medium, and to top it off it's my Birthday. I concede it was busier than heavens waiting room, though the fact remains.

It being July 4th, Independence Day, I thought it would be an appropriate day to enjoy a hot dog. Just ask Joey Chestnut! I'm not going to reduce my # of *s because we really enjoyed our food and beverages. But I do have to question what I had to drink. The board said it was an Ommegang Grande Tripel stout at 5.5 ABV ($9). That level of ABV would be reasonable for a stout, but the color of the brew was golden like a typical Tripel, and not dark like the typical Stout. The bartender gave us a sample, and it was full of flavor with my wife noticing the vanilla tones that were described by the bartender. I didn't initially identify any specific flavor other than delicious and different than I would have expected from a stout. I also would not take issue with the posted 5.5 ABV. HOWEVER, a quick reference to Ommegang online as I write this says that it is a Belgium Tripel and the ABV is 9. Yes, NINE ABV! I would definitely have noticed if I were drinking a 9 ABV on an empty stomach. I also would have noticed it driving the car after finishing a pint within one hour. For those familiar with Utah Phillips, "It was good though!" But on to the food. We ordered a shareable Tot-Chos ($12.99) consisting of tater tots, tomatoes, avocado, cheese sauce, pickled jalapeños, and chipotle aioli. These were very tasty and not too spicy, with crispy on the outside and soft on the inside tots. My wife ordered the Sooo Cali ($10.99) hot dog. The black angus beef hot dog is very tasty even before it is topped with wild arugula, tomato, avocado, crispy onion strings, and spicy basil aioli. The combined flavors work well together on the Kings Hawaiian rolls. My choice was to try the Hogfather ($10.99) - a pork bratwurst with bacon chipotle onion jam, chipotle aioli, and miso ranch. The bratwurst was delicious and again, the flavors worked well together. BTW, my wife had a Grimm Nothing But Citra ($8), an IPA that even I found acceptable. We really need to return here more frequently.

Bartender was friendly and responsive; we split the chicken bacon avocado sandwich and the bbq pulled pork mac. The chicken sandwich was nothing to write home about, but it wasn't bad either. The bun was a simple hamburger bun. The mac n cheese was top tier, came out piping hot and had a good amount of pulled pork and Cole slaw on it. Even between the two of us we had to take some home. Personally I would get regular Mac without the pulled pork next time. I also got a glass of the Italian pino Grigio which was pretty good and reasonably priced. Our meal came with free chips and dip, but we tried to hold out for the main course. I heard their burgers are divine, so I would come back for that and maybe get their home brewed beer. The bartender seemed far more focused on socializing with friends, the hostess, and an off-duty employee than on serving the guests sitting at the bar. At one point, we sat for more than seven minutes with empty drinks at a bar that was nearly empty. Despite making several attempts to get her attention, we weren't acknowledged until another employee noticed us trying to flag her down and stepped in. Even then, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the delay. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated moment; it was the pattern throughout the evening. Conversations with coworkers & friends consistently took priority over customer service, leaving us feeling ignored despite the bar having very few customers. The food was still very good, but the level of attentiveness and professionalism from the bartender fell well below the standard.

An earlier email reminder from the Mealeo CEO that I had over $3 in Mealeo credits reminded me that this would be a good opportunity to place my order at Country Drive-In through Mealeo to take advantage of my rewards. I was initially surprised that upon placing our order at 6:30 pm that it was not going to be ready until 7:15. But when I arrived at CD-I at 7:10 I could better understand. They were slammed with customers. I let the pickup window know that I was there for my order, and they said they would check on it. At exactly 7:15 they brought my order to the window. Ahh, reliable efficiency! My wife had decided to order a Tuna Melt ($8.39), I went traditional with the Sausage sandwich ($9.59), and a large order of Homemade Onion Rings ($7.19) for us to share. The Tuna Melt had little if any tuna flavor, very disappointing. The Sausage was one of the best I've had from them (there have been some off years recently). It was just greasy enough with the peppers and onions on top of the sausage patty that the fresh and soft brioche bun (not the hard roll indicated on the menu) prevented any loss of drippings for a flavorful bite each time. The onion rings were perfect this time also. Not overly greasy even as they cooled down. All of this is why we keep returning every season.
