My husband and I have been to Jimmy's Grille several times! We have never been disappointed with the gyro and the chicken souvlaki which have been delicious every time. The hand cut fries that come with this order were a meal in itself. Last night we ordered the pastitsio and it did NOT disappoint! It was amazing! The portion was very generous and it came with a ample sized Greek salad. The dressing was delicious. George and his wife are very gracious and always friendly! Always in the hunt for great food from independent restaurants. Jimmy's Grille is one. After consuming and digesting reviews by fellow Yelpers I decided to check out Jimmy's with a foodie buddy. I love Greek food as my late wife was first generation Greek American to her immigrant parents. And my mother-in-law is, even in her late 80's, still cranking out wonderful Greek delicacies for me and my adult kids. We arrived after the lunch hour and checked out the menu. There's no table service except food expedited to the table, so, ordering at the counter is how things are done at Jimmy's. Jimmy's has traditional American carry out fare (pizza, subs, etc) but I was transfixed on the Greek items. I ordered the Tyropita (cheese pie) and a chicken gyro (yee-row). My buddy ordered the Gyro platter which came with a big Greek salad, pita, tzatziki and rice. Dare I say quantity and quality of the food is simply incredible! OPA! This food is to be celebrated! Personally, though, the tzatziki could use more dill... The tyropita was only the second I've ever enjoyed. I savored every bite. The gyro was excellent and next time I'll get the gyro meat (the spit is right there in the grille area...) My buddy loved his meal. The salad was a meal in itself with a big slab of feta on top. The house played some great Greek music; even some techno. OPA! Brought back memories of my Big Fat Greek Wedding and other wedding and baptism receptions experienced over the decades. Ambiance? Several tables, comforting environment and great counter help as Gabby navigated us through the ordering process. And, yes, Mexican Coke is offered. A return visit is in order as I'll bring my ravenous eater of a son along for a treat. OPA! (I think...) Definitely worth the drive to what was the Four Corners area of yore. read more

My husband LOVES gyros and I love Greek food, period. I knew as soon as I saw that Greek salad that came with my order that I'd hit the jackpot. Crisp lettuce topped with a generous slab of Greek feta, and a delectable homemade dressing. Served in an appropriately sized bowl that allows space for cutting up it up. The gyro, was accompanied by PERFECT fries. Crispy, tender, with the appropriate (a lot) of salt. We had them "Greek" our fries, which added salty crumbled feta, a squeeze of lemon , and fresh parsley. This gyro? WOW! Tender freshly sliced lamb off the spit, in pillowy homemade pita, with onions & tomatoes, then slathered with creamy tzatziki that will make your eyes pop out of your head. The Pastitsio? Perfectly cooked noodles, housemade meat sauce, topped with an indescribable bechamel. A beautiful BLOCK of bechamel, that literally held its shape, PERCHED on top of a 6' layer of pasta. Truly perched! The bechamel is light deliciousness that just melts in your mouth with the perfect hit of nutmeg, and a silkiness that coats the noodles and delicious meat sauce to come together in what is the best Pastitsio I have ever eaten. The biggest issue I have with it? I have NEVER ordered anything else since! One day I will branch out (maybe) bc I really need to try the pizza especially. Jimmy's is family run (the bechamel is an old family recipe) and these are some really, really nice people. Not lots of seating, but very clean and welcoming. We will def be regulars! read more

Place looks dirty. No one wears gloves. Food is just "ok." Loud. Witnessed worker sneeze into his hands then immediately finish making pizza dough. Lost my appetite. Positive is that people working there are very friendly. We won't go back. read more

Some friends and I were at the brewery next door over the weekend and decided to order food. My husband had the chicken cheesesteak which he really enjoyed. I had a BLT on wheat toast. The sandwich was put together nicely and tasted good. I mean I think we would have a major issue if they screwed up a BLT =) We shared a side of seasoned fries. Super hot, fresh and delicious. One of my friends got the Greek salad with extra dressing. There were no complaints there. I called my order in over the phone. Despite their offer to deliver, I opted to walk over and check the place out since I had never been. Unfortunately, when I placed the order over the phone they missed the order of seasoned fries I asked for. Once the mistake was realized, I took the initial order and they delivered the fries as soon as they were done. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The customer service was excellent and the prices were not bad at all. Definitely a great option with a huge menu! read more

This was perfect for us since we were right next door at South County. Just let the person on the phone know that you are next door and they walk the food right over! Easy pay over the phone too. Portions were big. Not pictured are the French fries. Thick hand cut fries, slightly undercooked, and lightly salted. Corn nuggets were sweet on the inside and fried golden brown. Subs weren't bad, not the best we've ever had, but perfect for the setting we were in. read more

Loved it! Food was authentic Greek (and Maryland crab cake) and absolutely delicious. Service was attentive and prompt. Friendly atmosphere and yummy food made this an exceptional meal in a place I normally would never visit. Fate or destiny is funny like that. We drove to Fawn Grove to feed my addiction for vintage Ludwig snare drums where one was on-sale for $50. I'm an addict and the addicted go wherever they need to for a fix-and I got mine. Lovely specimen... Anyway, Jimmy came out near the end of our meal to make sure everything was to our satisfaction and it certainly was. There was a real family feeling here with Jimmy and his wife (and maybe daughter waitress) and their interactions with the other customers really demonstrated this. The food is good, but I am so tired of ordering the Gyro for 13.99 first thing on the menu and getting with cut up pita and no tomatoes onions. Get rid of that stupid platter. nobody wants it and it confuses everybody, including the person answering your telephone. read more

This place is amazing. We arrived at 2 minutes to 8 and they were so nice and agreed to make us something to eat. Most places would have turned us away but they made us an fabulous steak and cheese sub and chicken parmigiana. They have a great menu with stuff that you would not expect, like lamb chops and authentic Greek foods. Highly recommend this place for the food and the people. read more

They're next door neighbors with South County Brewery. We called in the order from the brewery, paid it over the phone, and it was delivered right to us at our table. The person who took the order was the same one who delivered it. She was very friendly and nice. They have a decent menu from appetizers to entrees, and all at very reasonable prices. Everything we got was made to order and tasted fresh. The fried zucchini sticks was plentiful and crispy. The souvlaki chicken platter was enough for two to share. The seasoning on the chicken was flavorful. I tasted citrus, garlic, and herbs. The platter comes with grilled flatbread, Greek salad (lettuce, onion, a generous block of feta, kalamata olives) and tzatziki sauce. Definitely will return again! read more

I've been here probably 10 times since they've opened. Everything I've had has been good. Yummy gyros, pizza, salads, fries, subs. Everything we had has been very good. My only negative is that we've some a lot of inaccuracies on wait times for our food. We've spent many Friday nights waiting 30 or more minutes longer than we were told BUT the food is good. I do recommend. I use to love the gyros from gyro express in York and this is as close to that as I've found in the area. read more

Review update. The owner of Jimmy's contacted me thru Yelp and asked if she could refund me for my troubles. She said she vividly remembered me and the incident and how it all went down. Initially I refused but she was adamant that they were in the wrong when it happened and wanted to make it right. She also didn't care if I removed the post or upgraded the 1 star review. She just wanted to make it right. While it is still true that I will most likely never return as I live in GA, I can appreciate her efforts to rectify the situation (even if happened well after the fact) read more

Food is so gross. We got 2 cheesesteak subs and my parents were up all night throwing up!! No joke. We also got 2 orders of grape leaves that were smothered in a terrible sauce and they were the worse ones I have ever had, the fried zucchini sticks we're soggy and tasted like old oil, they had no seasoning on them. It was so expensive, $87 for the nastiest food ever. Don't eat here unless you want food poisoning read more

We moved to the Phoenix area from Monkton and are thrilled to have rediscovered this place. The food is excellent, Greek salads huge, and prices very reasonable. On one occasion the staff thought we had forgotten our fries and called us to please come back and pick them up. The staff members are warm and friendly. This was our third time here. We had eaten "in" both previous times, but decided to get carry-out this time because the noise in this small place makes it very hard to enjoy a meal, and carry on a conversation. The food was very disappointing. My wife's Mousaka ($17) had very thick slices of hard, and under cooked eggplant, which were inedible. We had to throw it out! My gyro platter, normally $18, was billed as a "Lamb Souvlaki Platter" at $24. The meat was nicely spiced, and the Tsatsiki sauce was quite good. Both dishes came with a small salad, but compared to previous times, the lettuce was shredded, the tomatoes were of poor quality, and the previously excellent Kalamata olives were so salty we could not eat them. The dressing was insipid, and the nice dusting of oregano we'd had before was missing. We left a 15% tip, making the total $49.50. We would expect consistency at these prices. We certainly won't return or recommend this place. read more

The food was delicious, from the over stuffed Gyros, Cheese steak sub, Dolmades (made with meat!), Reuben and Shrimp salad sandwich . The spanakopita, grilled octopus, calamari, stuffed mushrooms with crab meat, and salad.. all very fresh and delicious! Yes got a smorgasbord, lol but just had to try as Greek food is my favorite. I'm usually not a huge chicken souvlaki fan outside of Greece. This is by far the best I've had outside of the festivals in Greece. I've been here multiple times and each time the food was great. The rice pudding is homemade and one of the best I've had in a while. read more
