The best dinner in Fenwick Island/Ocean City continues to amaze! Jimmy's Kitchen brings good, fast service and their iconic Cream Chipped Beef (S.O.S.) This place gets BUSY, so be prepared for that, go earlier on or maybe grab a seat at their breakfast bar.

Expectations: looking for a local gem dishing out best breakfast in town (or so reviews might allude) What we got: a tropical Waffle House Staff was friendly and so quick like under ten minute wait Food was a miss for me, though My omelette was overcooked - hash browns were undercooked and limp. My friend ordered the SOS - and I took a bite. What on earth? No flavor and it was thick thick. I have made my own in the past, and this tasted like straight flour. Just overall disappointed- we paid $50 for two people and the food was a little sad. The silver lining: the pancake was solid

I really wanted to love this place and I do not give this 2-star review lightly. The atmosphere was great, very kitschy decor and friendly staff. Expected knock-your-sock-off diner food but was left disappointed. Especially with the creamed chipped beef (S. O. S), it was really bland and tasted like a heavy cream, thick with no flavor.

Jimmy's is a must every trip to the beach. At least once. Sat at the bar today. Dashie was my server. She's very friendly and efficient. And as a creature of habit, I ordered my usual sausage, ham and cheese omelette with the side slab of SCRAPPLE and rye toast, which is essential at places like Jimmy's. Especially topped with orange marmalade. Food and service rule along with the sunshiny ambience of the beach. All is good. Even when boss isn't there. Great crew. Great service.

Pretty great! I almost got popped because they have mirror windows I guess to block the heat / sun so it looked closed. Sat right away, they have tees and stickers, read their chipped beef was the item to try - so I did and it was like my great grandma's that is good. I appreciated the young man who was working hard - like clock work every minute he would make a round to check for water fill ups and tables to clear. I assumed he was maybe someone's son but he did a great job!

Stopped here for a weekday breakfast while down in the Ocean City area. First thing - they are open everyday, even though when we pulled up it looked like they were closed. Decor is a very bright and loud - we were sat in a booth and ordered quickly. I went with a coffee and a scrapple omelette with hashbrowns. Comes with the standard toast as well. I really appreciate the single serve variety of jellies and jams in the packets so I could have one of each. Lady was nice who waited on us. Appreciated it. Would recommend!

Someone in this establishment was a jerk about them not taking American Express. I've been using Amex for over 25 years. I proceeded to tell him Amex protects its users. I told him I would not be back, and that I was not even from around there, and he said I seemed angry like a jerk, I took that as him projecting. I told him I was not angry and that I would simply not be back. I am writing this to tell everyone to Forget that place and that guy, not even sure who the hell he was. The food was okay, nothing you cannot make better yourself at home, and everything seemed adequate until I spoke with the arrogant subhuman when paying. As stated, will not be back. After reading all the other negative reviews of this place I have a better understanding of what is wrong with this place.

    No explanation needed!!

It's the best breakfast on the shore. Head to Fenwick Island and try the SOS, then you will never eat another place in the am. Very quick service, very friendly staff. The restaurant is a small town beach feel and has a counter to eat at as well. Love Jimmys

We arrived about an hour before closing, and even though the parking lot was very full, we had a great experience. I immediately loved the place settings and decor. Everything was so thoughtfully arranged, especially for an outdoor patio, and it created such a welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and quickly brought out bowls of water for our dogs. It was a small gesture, but I really appreciated that she thought of them too. We were also very happy with our meals. My son and I both ordered the tuna rare, and it was cooked perfectly. The tuna practically melted in our mouths and was absolutely delicious. My husband had the fish sandwich and enjoyed his meal as well. The combination of the beautiful outdoor setting, great food, friendly service, and genuinely dog-friendly atmosphere made it a wonderful end to our evening. I would absolutely return with our dogs for another dinner!

I ordered the tuna poke bowl, which unfortunately was pretty mediocre. The tuna just didn't have much flavor and tasted a bit "meh." My husband ordered the shrimp and grits, though, and that was a completely different story. It was perfection. I loved that they use nice, thick shrimp, and the seasoning was excellent. The service was probably the biggest disappointment. Our server seemed visibly frustrated and rolled her eyes several times, which I didn't particularly appreciate. The whole staff seemed a little off when we arrived, almost like they had just come out of a rough staff meeting and were already bracing themselves for the mid-morning rush. I'd absolutely come back because I loved the atmosphere and there are clearly some really great dishes on the menu, but I do think there's room for improvement when it comes to both the food and the service. Hopefully they take this review in the constructive spirit it's intended, because there's a lot of potential here!

But, this is the second time we have been there when the smoke coming from the kitchen was unpleasant and burned our eyes. I really wish they would improve their exhaust system, or add some walls around the kitchen. Yes, it is fun to see the chef and culinary team in action, but the smoke can be overwhelming and could be eliminated with walls and double doors. It is unfortunate to have a wonderful meal charred by poor exhaust.

The Chef looks familiar, I think I tasted his food before at one of the Celebrity Chefs Brunches for Meals on Wheels. I remember it being fantastic. There is outside dining but I booked inside as we weren't sure how warm it would be in May. It turned out to be a cold and windy weekend so we were very glad to be inside, plus the outside tables have a view of the highway. What a cute little restaurant inside; it is very tiny. We were crammed into a table in the corner. It was difficult to get past the other diners at their tables, and we could hear all the conversations around us. Every table was packed, I can't imagine what it's like in this room during the busy summer. Noelle was our server and she was amazing; very knowledgeable and friendly. She described the homemade bread service to us, and we ordered 2 Coastalpolitans which were made with Tito's Vodka, lime, soju, St. Germaine, and cranberry. They were sweet, and tart, and bright, and delicious. We decided on crab toast instead of the bread, and Noelle said we made the right choice. Wow, she was correct. The crab toast blew us away. It was chunks of crab on fluffy, crispy milk bread with pickled scallions, radish, lemon aioli, kelp powder, and lime. So beautiful and so delectable! RJ ordered the Pork Chop, which Noelle said One Coastal is known for, and I ordered the NJ Day Boat Scallops. We had no words. We sat there and quietly enjoyed every bite while listening to the surrounding tables, and knew we found a maybe not so hidden gem. My scallops were delicate and buttery and sweet, and melted in my mouth. RJ said his pork chop was tender and juicy, and the best he ever had. That is saying something. We finished with bread pudding because who doesn't love a good bread pudding, and we like to try it whenever we see one that looks interesting. It was salty and sweet and just so perfect. What One Coastal lacks in space and view, it makes up for with food and service. What a delightful place, and Noelle was a pleasure and a joy. We will definitely return to try all the other things and be lucky to sit anywhere inside or out.

When I am alone, I go right to the bar. I realize we were there on Labor Day and expected to wait and understand many employees have left for college or back to their countries. Upon entering, there was no hostess so we waited. No biggie. A few minutes went by and a gentleman came in and asked if I signed in. I told him I didn't realize I was supposed to sign in and was waiting for someone to take our name. A woman who was waiting on someone at the bakery called over and said she'd be right over. A few moments later, she came to the hostess stand and told the gentleman he could head over as she motioned to the bar. She walked away. I asked my husband if he wanted to sit at the bar. There were a few people already there with 3 empty seats, so he said ok. The hostess was chatting with the people sitting at the bar, not serving them. Laughing and paying not attention to anyone who entered. We walked to the bar and seated ourselves. She walked to us and said we could not sit there that the man she seated was a family member. We apologized and got back in line. At that time, another couple had walked in so we stepped in front of them and told them we were sent back to get in line. The couple asked us if anyone was seating people and I pointed to the hostess laughing behind the counter and said we have been here at least 5 minutes. About a minute or two later, the hostess approached us and greeted us by saying, we are short staffed today so I dont know how long you will have to wait. I immediately gave her my name and said table for 2. The couple behind us did the same. Within 5 minutes, the family in front of us was called, followed by us. The couple behind us was seated shortly thereafter. The reason for my message is the way we were treated was very off-putting. I felt like we were being encouraged to leave, not all welcome. I really like it there but this woman was the worst hostess. Maybe she was just having a bad day but I wanted to approach her to say how awful we were treated but was worried we would be made to leave. I sent a private Fb message but did not get a reply.
