Sausage was precooked and reheated to just room temp. Couldn't eat. Cooked through but not warm. It was fine. Service was polite and serviceable... In the next AM for breakfast. My spouse's avocado toast was so oil-soaked it should have come with Dawn to rescue us. It's "toast" was so hard she couldn't cut it even after getting a steak knife. My pancakes were so-so, but didn't come with syrup, some kind of fruit glop instead. Ask for syrup but when it arrived it had no maple flavor and wasn't even sweet?!? Really? It seemed to rely on the diner's memory syrup to provide the flavor. Service was OK, but to no good end given the food. Good menu for a group with a diverse palate. I had the steak salad and it was large in portion size and there was plenty of steak included. The fried chicken is super delicious and it is a bit sweet. The calamari is the strip/ steak style and too is very good. Several of our party ordered the Mac and cheese and that too was really really good! read more

This is definitely an upscale and trendy bar and restaurant. Located perfectly for pregame or after game eats and drinks for Mariners or Seahawks games. We stopped in to kill some time while waiting for Safeco Field to open for our tour. The waitress was super nice and frequently checked on us. The coffee was delicious with bold flavor just how I like it. We also had bagels and they were toasted just right. Restaurant was very clean and we'll lighted. Decorated with lots of sports oriented pictures and what not. Nice classy place and I could see coming back here for drinks and food for sure! read more

Met a friend here for Sunday brunch. First, the positives: kind, attentive service. Our server was excellent and extremely responsive -- perhaps because we were the only people there? Nevertheless, coffee and water refills were plentiful, and he answered our questions about the menu with ease. Now, the not-so-great: brunch was average at best. I had the eggs Benedict. The English muffin appeared as though it was fresh (from a bag) and never toasted. The hollandaise was... fine? The breakfast potatoes were barely warm and kind of soggy. All of it needed a heavy dose of salt. And confidence. Honestly, if I made brunch at home by myself, it would've been more inventive and tastier. Fun place to go before a game. We had great service and your typical bar food . They are so busy that you might get cold food. Our hamburgers came out just warm and our fry's cold. We had some great drinks for sure... I had the Fresca it was wonderful. They have a great selection of beers and a few selections of wine. If your in the mood for a cocktail this is your place. Very busy before a game with standing room only. Just wish our food was hot.... I will give them another try when its during a normal evening and not with an event going on. read more

Terrible service tonight at the bar area. Drinks and food were good, but experience ruined by the servers. She took forever to return for our order when everyone arrived. Our cocktails were left on the bar for an extended time, one of us went to tell her and she said she knew and would get them soon! Brought my martini without the olives. Said, they were "out at the bar, would have to go to kitchen to get some ". NO tables were given silverware when the food was dropped. We all went to find it ourselves. Nachos were soggy when arrived but said to have good flavor, which was unfortunate. Never had such poor service at any Jimmy's across town before. Management should take notice. read more

HORRIBLE SLOW SERVICE. I used to work in the restaurant industry and know how hectic it can be during events coming to town. This restaurant is across the street from Safeco Field, down the street from Century Link, and WAMU theater. HOW can they not have ironed out the wrinkles yet? Seriously? Our server was slow, unfriendly, inefficient, and unprofessional. She delivered the wrong salad to a member of our party. When she realized the mistake she picked it up from the person eating it and handed it to the person it was intended for instead of getting a fresh one. We were together but this was very distasteful and awkward for us. No one wants to eat a half eaten salad and pay full price. Seriously? Food was decent but not great. The prices are high. Menu and food: The menu selection was pretty extensive without being too overwhelming - they have something for everyone ranging from healthy salads to rich mac and cheese. I ordered the fish tacos which were really tasty- not dry which tends to be the case for fish tacos when they aren't battered and fried. The green chili sauce and papaya salsa were very tasty and spicy! They also have Happy Hours - which change depending on game days since its across the street from a stadium. Service: Really attentive without being overly "in the way". Both the hostess and the server did a great job on checking up on me throughout my visit. Ambiance: Comfortable seating. TV's by the bar area at an appropriate volume. Location: This restaurant was attached to the hotel where I stayed, The Silver Cloud. I was excited about eating here as I was staying at the Silver Cloud and had stayed/dined at the Capitol Hill location as well with a good experience. I walked in for breakfast and saw a few tables occupied with diners. Near the hostess stand was a sign indicating to wait to be seated. One of the servers saw me and said that [someone else] would be with me in a moment. A minute or so later I saw the woman that I assumed would seat me. She also said she'd be with me in a minute. It felt like five minutes had passed before I even sat down, despite both servers walking by me several times. When I finally sat down, it also seemed to take forever. During this time I noticed other people getting seated by both servers seemingly quickly. I don't usually take things personally, but I was wondering what the hell the deal was.. like I was intentionally being trolled and ignored. If it was crowded I would understand, but it was not busy at all. The food was pretty decent, but nothing mind-blowing. Ms. Maria was my waitress, she was super nice. She deserves employ of the year. I knew my lunch would be great, when i can hear the kitchen staff singing. Happy chef equals great quality and care into cooking. I have worked in the restaurant industry and its very important to have a happy kitchen team. My appetizer was biscuit & gravy. This place includes gratuity in your bill so they could care less about the service. We were 3 adults so it wasn't a large group by any stretch. It took a while for our server to even greet us. We got our food before our drinks. Pass on this place. Too expensive and much better places elsewhere. read more

This review is for breakfast. I was staying at the hotel for business and came in a bit skeptical cause the reviews weren't great. I ordered the Jimmys breakfast-2 eggs meat and breakfast potato. A coffee and water completed the meal. Service was prompt and friendly. It was really good, so good I came back the next 2 mornings as well. Day 1 I got over easy eggs and bacon, day 2 I got scrambled eggs with bacon and day 3 I got sunny side up eggs and sausage. I told my wife how good it was so she went in for the brioche French toast 2 days! Eggs were cooked right every time. French toast is plentiful and yummy with cinnamon butter to smear on them. My Chicken Caesar salad was great! I loved the tender and juicy chicken, well seasoned crutons and the shaved parmesan cheese. The TV's were well spaced and I was able to catch some of the Seahawks game. Before the game started this place was jammed packed and was the place to be. I heard no complaints. After the game started, seats opened up so I moved into the bar to watch and eat. But what impressed me the most was my server, Tabbitha. She was nice, attentive and professional. Never again. Had a birthday lunch here for my brother-in-law. We had a reservation for 10, they tried to seat us at 2 tables that they said were close together, but they were not close enough that we would have really been together. I ordered the Jimmy's Fries, which were supposed to be French fries with garlic, sage, rosemary, & Parmesan cheese. We're right across the street from a baseball stadium, you'd think they would get these right. They were just a plate full of food-service fries with hardly anything on them. There were a couple of flecks of garlic, and a little dollop of Parmesan cheese, so little in fact I brought it to the waitress's attention that I had not just ordered fries, but Jimmy's fries. She did offer to take them back and have more toppings added, but honestly I shouldn't have to ask for the toppings that were already advertised. They took them off the bill. The pizza was, likewise, basic food-service food. Had to ask twice for the Fanta I ordered. I wish I would have just gotten some fries from one of the food trucks behind the place. Had breakfast at Jimmy's June 29, 2024. Got the 2 eggs breakfast ($19) that comes with toast, breakfast potatoes, and a meat option. I chose bacon. Scrambled eggs were good, although not seasoned but I was just fine with that. Was surprised at only 1 piece of toast, but ok. The Marionberry jelly was not my preference, but alright. The potatoes are plentiful! However, they are seasoned with something salty and sweet. Salty, sure. Sweet? No. Big mistake there Jimmy's. I only had a few of them before I gave up. An for what I was looking forward to, the bacon was just barely cooked so it was not unsafe...barely! Disappointed at 1/2 the food I received. To me it appears to be either a chef's or management who charges you nearly 2 times what the meal is worth and then they think their preference of nearly uncooked bacon is best for their customers. $19 dish should be no more than $11 or $12. Less potatoes and one more slice of toast would be a great start and for safety sakes, cook your bacon more. Check "your" chef ego at the door. You should be cooking FOR THE CUSTOMER. I'll go down the street for a bagel or a McMuffin before I choose Jimmy's on First again. read more

Reliably delicious food. Every other restaurant in this neighborhood seems to sell only disgusting deep fried heat lamped garbage for twice the price on game days. If you want real food go to Jimmy's. They are open long hours for convenience and they don't switch to a raunchy menu on game day. The menu is regularly updated. There is always a delicious vegetarian option or two. They always offer some sort of zhoozhed up french fry, right now it's rosemary and fresh parmesan - so tasty. If you're in the neighborhood and you're trying to pick between the sadly slim options near the Stadiums you should try Jimmy's; I don't think you'll regret it. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Jimmy's on 1st! I needed to find a place for an important breakfast meeting last Friday at 7:00am. My first impression was formed by the Valet parking attendant. He put my mind at ease, and took GOOD care of me. I had the ham & cheese omelet, which comes with roasted potatoes and toast. Beautiful presentation, tasted GREAT! My one critique- the wheat toast seemed "cheap" to me, compared to the rest of the breakfast, which seemed very "quality" to me. Maria was our server, and she was perfect. Jovial, funny, attentive but not hovering. Mel also did great, and kept our coffee refilled consistently. The decor is modern, clean, attractive. Our experience was awesome. I would definitely recommend Jimmy's. I know it's a little expensive, but worth it to me. I did a lot of research on breakfast near the stadiums, and I believe Jimmy's is your best option. read more

Great place to start prior to a Mariners game as it's literally across from the stadium. It's also attached to The Silver Cloud Hotel so you have a mix of interesting people just passing through town to chat with if that's something you enjoy. The bar area can be a little tight as there is limited "at the bar" seating as well as high tops, but the tables turn (no pun intended) quickly so be patient and a seat will open up (if you're solo or with 1-2 others). I didn't get anything to eat during this visit but I was very happy to see some vegetarian options on the menu-whole not vegetarian, I do like to lighten it up once in awhile. I had the Ruby Red cocktail which was a little less tart than I prefer but I also didn't use the available lemon slice on the rim of the glass so maybe that would have done the trick. Met a girlfriend here for happy hour and we had a great time! Not too loud but everyone in their own great convos while the games were on the screens throughout the bar! The happy hour menu is pretty good and our bartender was really nice and made sure to let us know HH was about to end and get our lasts orders in if needed. Usually they don't tell you and your stuck with a full price drink, so I can appreciate him for that! Overall it serves its purpose...clean bar with half price drinks and seating to have a good convo with a great friend! read more

After heading to the M's game where they celebrated some of the old school Sonics (and we cut out way early), we wandered across the street. I needed something to eat and my buddy just was after a beverage. It was pretty quiet during the game and we grabbed a table in the back. Staff was friendly and quick. She took our order and beer/wine suddenly appeared. That part was fine. The food....meh. All I came up with was a prime dip, which was tough and chewy. Not very flavorful and disappointing.
