After heading to the M's game where they celebrated some of the old school Sonics (and we cut out way early), we wandered across the street. I needed something to eat and my buddy just was after a beverage. It was pretty quiet during the game and we grabbed a table in the back. Staff was friendly and quick. She took our order and beer/wine suddenly appeared. That part was fine. The food....meh. All I came up with was a prime dip, which was tough and chewy. Not very flavorful and disappointing. Had breakfast at Jimmy's June 29, 2024. Got the 2 eggs breakfast ($19) that comes with toast, breakfast potatoes, and a meat option. I chose bacon. Scrambled eggs were good, although not seasoned but I was just fine with that. Was surprised at only 1 piece of toast, but ok. The Marionberry jelly was not my preference, but alright. The potatoes are plentiful! However, they are seasoned with something salty and sweet. Salty, sure. Sweet? No. Big mistake there Jimmy's. I only had a few of them before I gave up. An for what I was looking forward to, the bacon was just barely cooked so it was not unsafe...barely! Disappointed at 1/2 the food I received. To me it appears to be either a chef's or management who charges you nearly 2 times what the meal is worth and then they think their preference of nearly uncooked bacon is best for their customers. $19 dish should be no more than $11 or $12. Less potatoes and one more slice of toast would be a great start and for safety sakes, cook your bacon more. Check "your" chef ego at the door. You should be cooking FOR THE CUSTOMER. It wasn't bad, Just for the caliber of restaurant and the price I expected stellar, but what I got was average (plus). We were pressed for time and really just popped into Jimmy's on a whim. It's located right across the street from Safeco Field (third base side). I was surprised that were able to get a table on game day, but after seeing the attendance later eh, come on Mariner fans come support your team! btw, GO GIANTS! Anyway I was leaning towards the pizza but our server suggested I try the burger. Sure, ok, burger rare, bacon and local sharp cheddar cheese. I'll give it a shot. And long story short, it was a home run! Perfectly cooked to rare per my request, (but given they nailed "rare" I would go medium rare next time) this burger was scrumptious. Not at all too bready and the crunchy pickles made it a delight to the very last bite. The accompanied fries were also very tasty. Now is this burger the best in Seattle? Nope, that goes to Quinn's, but given the price and the quality of the beef. I would highly recommend this burger to any burger lover out there. Our server was excellent and checked in on us often. I would have given it 3.5 stars. Service was alright but the waitress could have smiled and looked like she cared a bit more lol. I orderd pulled pork sandwich and it was alright. Too much "sauce" or mayo on the cole slaw I would say... and the bun was too soft for such heavy sandwich. I couldn't hold it without breaking it. Great place to start prior to a Mariners game as it's literally across from the stadium. It's also attached to The Silver Cloud Hotel so you have a mix of interesting people just passing through town to chat with if that's something you enjoy. The bar area can be a little tight as there is limited "at the bar" seating as well as high tops, but the tables turn (no pun intended) quickly so be patient and a seat will open up (if you're solo or with 1-2 others). I didn't get anything to eat during this visit but I was very happy to see some vegetarian options on the menu-whole not vegetarian, I do like to lighten it up once in awhile. I had the Ruby Red cocktail which was a little less tart than I prefer but I also didn't use the available lemon slice on the rim of the glass so maybe that would have done the trick. We had some beers at Jimmy's before a football game, and it really was the best way to set our pre-game drinking off right :) It's conveniently located in between Qwest and Safeco stadium, and perfect for people watching all the fans going to the game. I would definitely give it a try and see if you can snag a table next time you have some time to kill before a game! read more

Met a girlfriend here for happy hour and we had a great time! Not too loud but everyone in their own great convos while the games were on the screens throughout the bar! The happy hour menu is pretty good and our bartender was really nice and made sure to let us know HH was about to end and get our lasts orders in if needed. Usually they don't tell you and your stuck with a full price drink, so I can appreciate him for that! We've come here many times for Jimmy's delish burgers and fish and chips (see my earlier review) but this visit had us dining earlier in the day so that we could catch the earlier Sounders game. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Jimmy's serves breakfast (not sure if only on the weekends or not) since a yelp search for brunch in Pioneer Square area yielded limited results. They serve a solid breakfast with maybe about 8 different menu items. We ordered these 4 items: Smoked salmon, cream cheese, and dill omelet- DELISH- don't go without the cream cheese!; Jimmy's breakfast with eggs, toast, potatoes and meat side (Aunt Karen chose the sausage links- nice smoky apple flavor)- good solid basic breakfast; Bacon and chedder omelet- another good solid breakfast; Crab cake benedict- cream hollandaise and tasty crab cakes. They also have quite a selection of morning cocktails and I wish I had the courage to order the Spicy Bacon Martini (I'm guessing similar to a bloody mary with bacon vodka). The whole reason I make a reservation for game day is to not have to scramble to have a decent meal before the game. My daughter and I stopped by for dinner before a concert next door. I loved that they had a special Taylor Swift menu, smart considering most of the people there that night were going to her show. We both had the fish and chips which were just ok. The coleslaw was pretty had, like just raw cabbage with no sauce at all. Not even salt or pepper. The fish was a little dry but the portions were good. Service was slow but they were getting really busy so I can look past that. You can't beat their location if your doing anything at centurylink, walk out their door and your there. So that's a real plus! read more

They were pretty packed but we were able to fit a seat in the bar fairly quick by asking some people if they minded sharing a big table with bar stools. They had no problem with it. I wish they had more options for appetizers. I wanted to stay away from bread.. and almost everything had bread. We ended up ordering the cone fries, and they turned out to be a good choice. Wish I had checked Yelp first. Was with a party staying at Silver Cloud. Super convenient to just eat at what looked like an upscale restaurant in the hotel. I'm always sketchy about eating at the "in-house" restaurant, but you never know. We called to make reservations on a weekend night...and they said we'd be fine. Shoulda been our first clue. I ain't mad at Jimmy's, but a restaurant has to have good food. And the food is overpriced and undergood. I got their "specialty" crab Mac n cheese. Underwhelming, not very flavorful, and super cheesy, but not gooey. It was stringy, not creamy. Wife got the sliders and asked for medium, but I would've thought they were dog biscuits. They were mini hockey pucks and well done. The party shared some risotto, which is always a treat. But, this risotto was bland, underwhelming, and undercooked. Rice was grainy and raw, chewy. Not creamy and delicious. Decided to get a drink. Chose the $16 Don Julio Margarita. Small. Tasted like a mix. Could barely taste the alcohol. The food was edible. The drinks were drinkable. The service was ok. Something was burning in the kitchen, so we got to smell that for a few minutes. Not the preferred scent coming from a kitchen. My wife needed to use the restroom. It was closed and is the only one in the restaurant. So we had to go back to our room to use the bathroom. The only thing well done was the cook on the sliders. The cost was $100. They included tip on the bill, because they wouldn't have gotten it otherwise. Smart on their part. But, the value in knowing to choose someplace else, like Pyramid across the street, next time? Pros: Atmosphere was nice. We were seated right away because the restaurant was mostly empty. The menu is cheap. The drinks are great. Cons: Waitstaff. Didn't say hi or ask how we were. My girlfriend had to ask for a drink twice after ordering. The waitress was clearly distracted and muttering to herself. After the drink issue she told us that she just had a breakup. Yeah... I ate both dinner and breakfast there based on the convenience of staying in the hotel it is connected to and well, it is a restaurant connected to a hotel. A sort of sports bar meets an Applebees. It truly is right across the street from the stadium. I can imagine game days are a mixture of noise, bedlam, and crowds. This is right across the street from both Safeco field, home of the Seattle Mariners, and Century Link field where the Seahawks play. It's very convenient if you are going to a game and staying at the hotel or if like myself, you work at one of the venues and need a place to have breakfast first thing in the morning and nothing else is open. The first time I had french toast. Tasty but they never give you enough syrup and had to keep trying to flag down a server. What is it when there is a woman dining alone you can just ignore her? Second visit I had a mushroom and white cheddar omelette which was very good. I appreciated that it wasn't so big it was impossible to eat. Eggs were fluffy, the hashbrowns cooked nicely and they had rye for toast. It's a hotel dining room but they do a decent job. Spending a night here in Seattle and staying in the hotel here so thought we would give this place a shot. Very nice ambiance and great selection of appetizers and entrees. We were greeted and seated almost immediately on a non-game night, so a definite plus. This place is directly across from Safeco Field with an event happening but restaurant not overly crowded. Our server was nice, but "okay" with very bland energy. His enthusiasm when asked about menu items was bleak and his response was simply "well, we had no complaints". Pizza (ordered by boyfriend) was "okay", and my Penne Pasta was really good and had a nice kick to it. The crime brûlée was definitely the winner for the night!!! Overall - service was "okay" and food was "okay". Ambiance for games and watching them on TV is definitely worth it! read more

Overall rating: Mediocre The Good: the food was, for the most part enjoyable. I had bacon mac n cheese, which was flavorful and a nice change of pace from typical pasta. The salad that accompanied the meal was adequate, but nothing special. Simple greens with zero flair. The Bad: the service left a lot to be desired. My mother-in-law's meal was completely forgotten. It took over 13 minutes for her food to arrive AFTER everyone else had been served. A dessert was offered to make up for it, but it was a half hearted gesture. Our entrees weren't close to being complete, so we declined the offer. Also, the table was dirty and damaged. Not really attractive. Summary: the food is above average, but the service and upkeep is well below satisfactory. Really, this place is a hotel bar that isn't trying too hard to stand out because it's right next to Safeco. Went here before the Mariners Sox game when the city was packed! We had great service and the whole staff was very friendly, not just the waiter! My boyfriend had a bacon burger and he said it was amazing! I had a yummy sangria and BLT. The sandwich was tasty, maybe pretty normal but still good. What a nice place to meet friends and family before an event. The place was very busy and the wait times could be very long. My advice is to get there early. Relax in their comfortable setting, order a few beverages to pass the time away before you head out to your event. The food menu is diverse and there is something for everyone. I like their fish tacos and their take pork belly. Prices are reasonable and the service was quick and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal before their event. read more

Then we were done with our food and I wanted another 15min before finally getting up and asking if we could get our check. This one is pretty easy: food is great, especially in the bar (go with the sliders). Drinks are creative enough to stand out, and the pours are pretty fair. But seriously, if robots served the drinks and food to you, this place would improve dramatically. Maybe this is better food while NOT on a game day, but my last experience here was quite poor. Long wait, pricey, substandard drinks, and the worst french fries I've ever had. And I love fries. The server brought out a fresh batch when I complained that the fries were downright cold (on my fish and chips order). The 2nd batch was warm, but rock hard, as if they'd been cooked and sitting and then simply recooked. On the plus side, the fish was good, with thin Panko breading. Our starter pizza tasted like something my 10 year-old could put together at home. I've enjoyed this spot in the past, but will not be in a hurry to return. We came here for food and drinks before the Alicia Keys concert at WaMu across the street. Happy hour goes till 6:30 on a non-game day. They have several drink and food options for happy hour at pretty reasonable prices. I got the pound of chicken wings. They were $7 for 9 chicken wings and they were really good! I was surprised how much I enjoyed them! I may or may not have eaten all of them. The wings came with a big side of bleu cheese and a grilled jalapeno. I thought the jalapeno was a nice touch. My friend got a small pizza from their happy hour menu and said it was pretty good. I didn't get the impression that they cut the portion sizes down for happy hour which is nice. We each had the happy hour margarita which was $6.50. I honestly don't think there was a drop of alcohol in that drink. I drank it because I was thirsty and needed to wash down my wings but I would not recommend getting a margarita here. Service was pretty nice. They were very packed and people were standing around waiting for space in the bar. I would come here again before an event,. Their french onion soup is pretty tasty as is their Santa Fe salad w/bbq chicken. Their Caesar salad was a miss but only because I got it with salmon and the salmon was overcooked. This bar has an identity crisis..pretends to be a sports bar..but should be located in belltown or bellevue.....I mean could you turn the sound up during games...but i guess its more important for singles to get cell phone numbers..so they can fuck later... I would say that 80 percent of the patrons there had no clue that a game was on...so jimmys needs to decide what direction it should go in...meat market by the stadiums...or be a true sports bar... Was at an all-day event for work at the Qwest Field Events Center...which made Jimmy's pretty much the only restaurant in walking distance for lunch. Unfortunately. Went with a to-go order, since that seemed easiest. Friendly-ish waitress and relatively quick service. Decently fine minestrone soup, but disappointing caesar salad (whoever decided that caesars should be made with 100% romaine hearts should be taken into the street and shot). I stopped here for breakfast and left feeling a little underwhelmed. The restaurant had a very generic "hotel restaurant" feel to it which makes sense given the fact that it is in a hotel but there didn't seem to be much of an effort to give it a unique or local vibe which would have been appropriate given its location between Qwest and Safeco Fields. The food wasn't decent, although not exceptionally good in any way, but the first red flag was when the waitress brought my plate and immediately asked if I wanted to send the eggs back. Keep in mind this was as she was putting my plate down and I was getting my first look at the meal. I declined the offer even though I may have given other circumstances where I didn't have time limitations. Speaking of time limitations, the waitress eventually brought me the bill and I quickly put my card in the folder so I could be on my way. After passing by my table three times and not even looking down, she disappeared in to a back room somewhere doing who knows what. I decided to bring my bill up to the hostess and have her take care of it so I didn't have to wait any longer to pay for food that they were hesitant about serving me to begin with. Fortunately, I escaped the restaurant without any further incident or delay with the decision made that I most likely won't be going back any time soon. As a local my view of this place was bland and disappointing. For travelers staying in the hotel, I suppose it serves its purpose but I wouldn't go any farther than that. read more
