My mom and I were in town recently for a garden event and wanted to grab brunch afterward. It was a nice Saturday so most places seemed to be packed. We decided to try Jim's since we were near it. We entered and it took a bit to be acknowledged. We took a seat and were told a younger server, Isabella, would be taking care of us. Although there were few customers inside and two servers working, it took a long time for her to come to our table, so long we were seriously tempted to leave. She also would make eye contact and turn away without speaking to us. The service was really bad. This was young server, so she will almost certainly improve, but she really needs to learn some small social graces, like saying, "I'll be with you in a minute." or "I'm sorry there was a wait." A little awareness goes a a long way. The interior matches the strip mall exterior - it's a diner dive. The food was fine, but not anything special. They served bottled beer and mimosas. There's plenty of parking in the lot. But I won't go back. There was actually a time when we were waiting for a check and she was sitting at the counter chatting away to someone. Um? What? And in a pinch, perhaps the older server could have helped us out ...

I've been here many times. The food is delicious. Burgers are one of the best in town. Fries are the best in town. Peanut chicken salad is amazing!

Heard this place had good breasted chicken so we decided to check it out. It was pretty good. I got the 4pc as it was only $2 more than the 2pc. You also get your choice of soup or salad and potato. I went with the chicken and dumpling soup, which was good. I had the mashed potatoes with gravy, which had a touch too much garlic for my taste. The broasted chicken was crispy and juicy.

This small old timers restaurant used to be an okay place to grab a quick meal, but not anymore and is horrible now. We had specific instructions for our order and it was completely disregarded. After taking our order home we called to complain and speak with a manager. There was no one in charge they said. A detailed message was left with a girl who said she'd have the owner call. Guess what? He never did. Even after another phone call the next day, we spoke with Jim on the phone, he sounded annoyed, and that he'd return our call. He never called, what a suprise. The food is mediocre at best, the help is clueless, the owner Jim doesn't give a darn, and it's a waste of your hard earned money to go here. The produce and other ingredients are pathetic. Spend your money at another quality restaurant in Cedarburg. We'll NEVER return. Edit: The broccoli soup was the consistency of wallpaper paste.

The high vaulted ceilings and exposed beams were great. Our group we seated upstairs and it was pretty quiet. Everyone loved what they had. We all mostly got sandwiches/burgers and the various sides were delicious. We really liked the onion rings, potato salad and seasonal veggies. Our server was patient with us when we didn't know what we'd have with both drinks and meals. The team was quick to get our orders out and whisk away used plates/silverware. Would recommend if you're in the area. It was too cold for the patio to be opened yet but we will definitely come back for that in the summer. Great views.

We loved the ambiance, and the service we received was excellent. For starters we ordered the cheese bites and the mushroom "soup of the day" For main course, she had the Short Rib Sandwich and I had the Cedarburg Cranberry Salad with blackened Salmon. For desert, the flourless chocolate cake. The Rib Sandwich and soup were good. (3.5 Stars). The Salad/Salmon were okay (3 stars), and the cake was awful. (Probably put in the microwave for two minutes and then brought to the table) It even looked ugly sitting there on the plate. My drink special was weak. All the customers seemed to be having a good time. The place was lively and it's probably worth a visit for the service and ambiance. However this is not a place to go for good/tasty food based on our experience.

Loved the whole brewery feel and setup. We arrived and were greeted by a host who just seemed bored by the whole thing. She walked us to a table, but was not friendly and didn't say much. We looked at the menu and they were out of several beers, which left us with only one choice for an IPA. I understand they have to brew the beer, but if they're out, it would be nice if they had some other IPAs on tap. Our server greeted us and she was reasonably friendly. We ordered a burger and fries each. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy my IPA and I love most IPAs. I wish there had been more choices. Our wait wasn't long. The fries were good, but our burgers were way overcooked. The garlic aioli was also not very flavorful. Our server was not the most attentive, but attentive enough. We don't require a lot. She did ask if we wanted dessert, which was great, though we declined. We got the check and a box, then we paid and left. I called less than 5 minutes later because I had forgotten my box. The host that answered the phone was not interested in helping with this issue, so I told her "you can see the booth from the host stand", and she alerted me she didn't see the box on the table, but did not offer to follow up or check with the server. It's my fault I left my box, but the host on the phone just didn't seem bothered about helping us. Atmosphere was great. Service, food, and beer all could have been better, so this wouldn't be my first choice for a return trip. As a side note, we've been to the other location a few times and had good experiences.

The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, I asked about the baby back ribs and was told that this was one of the chef's specialties. They were okay, however, not good enough for me to recommend. (Three Stars at best). I did like the crock of French Onion Soup with a pretzel roll. Quite tasty and a winner for flavor. (four and 1/2 stars). The cheesy potatoes were dry and smothered with corn flakes. Ugh.... (Two Stars). I liked the garlic toast. The wife ordered the Philly Burger on a Gluten Free bun. She thought the bun was very good, but the burger was overcooked, a bit dry and lacked flavor. In hindsight, she said that she should have told the waiter she wanted it cooked "medium" She loved the coleslaw. Overall, The Flip Side seems like a good restaurant that does a great job serving and supporting the local community. We noticed kid's from the nearby high school drinking sodas and enjoying each other's company. Great Ambiance - Lots of light and comfortable I'm guessing that Flip Side is better for breakfast than lunch or dinner. Although not crowded on this late winter afternoon, we did notice that all the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves.

I had the Butcher Shop skillet with only one egg, no Hollandaise sauce add salsa. Their salsa was a nice corn and bean dark roasted tomatoes salsa that was very tasty flavorful. Other items were, 2 poached eggs with turkey sausage and toast (not pictured), 2 eggs over easy with bacon, toast and hash browns. It's a big place, so you're not on top of other customers and you can easily hold a conversation at your table. All meals were simply delicious.
