I came here on a recommendation of something called "DUI fries" which is hilarious. I didn't look at what it was until the food arrived. We ordered the LG DUI fries, medium soda, and Carne quesadilla. The portions were big! The DUI fries were loaded with pastrami, steak and chili and cheese. I am not too big of a fan of chili on top of stuff, but I thought it was fine. It's not for me, but my partner loved it. He said the carne quesadilla was delicious and "worth the money". The inside is spacious, clean and nice and quiet. We went on a Sunday afternoon at 5pm. No crowding. The food came out fast, too. I will definitely come back. Our brunch after church The counter staff was very friendly and knowledgeable Very clean and well decor for Christmas We ordered breakfast it's on till 2:00 pm, we ordered the hot cake special 2 eggs 2 hot cakes 2 sausage or bacon orc1 and 1. Hot cake/pancake good size! Bacon crisp and sausage regular size got side of potatoes nice little packed in a too go box. Hot cakes/pancakes nice size for 2 , taste good. Eggs fluffy bacon crisp on both or our breakfast specials but the kicker is the side of potatoes damn so so good! Touch of garlic and spices these are plain very tasty. The are fresh potatoes! A Burger Joint staple of the San Gabriel Valley and a mainstay for the City of Pico Rivera. Jim's has always been there for the community and I appreciate that. I went in on Monday for a quick pit stop during the lunch hour, it was very busy (which again, is a good thing) We ordered and shared our go-to meal, a Jim's burger and a DUI. The burger was fresh and tasty as usual, and the DUI was so flavorful. The fries were crisp, the pastrami was hot and flavorful, the chili was on point and the carne asada was excellent. This place has the best bacon breakfast burritos! You get scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, and these amazing potato bites that are super flavorful that perfectly harmonizes with the rest of the seasonings. I also recommend the carnita nachos with green salsa, they give a HUGE serving for about 7 bucks. It is very tasty, the carnitas are tender and it comes with a generous amount of guacamole. Worst place ever. I tried placing a phone order over the phone before I went to lunch since I only get a 30 min lunch. However phone kept ringing and no one answering, even kept calling on my way there. I got there and only one cashier. When I finally got to the front and asked how come no one is answering the phone and the girl a short skinny girl, replied with " our phones are off" when I asked why she didn't even bother giving me an answer. I explained to her I only get a 30 min lunch and she was like next time just come and order here and do not call. I was caught by surprise with her answer. Let's say even if I had done that, there was 5 people in line as it was. Got back to the office and ate my burger, let me tell you the worst EFFEN burger, took 2 bites and threw it away. My club sandwich looks good then I took a bite it have a good flavors but need mustard or little bit of mayo or just need cheese or pickles to add more flavors in the club sandwich. Huge portion size, and they are very generous with the amount of chili and pastrami on top. The only downside for most people would be that their pastrami pieces are quite long and thick so you may not get a bite of pastrami with every bite. I was there with my kids and husband and when I ask to use the restroom for my 3 year old daughter they refused to let her use it. Even after we spent $41.30.
