Yelp should update the name because it's actually Alber's Mexican Food now (not Albert's). My coworker once brought in their machaca breakfast burrito and I fell in love!! BUT I was never really able to get one on my own because they open at 8am and I saw a sign saying they only do breakfast burritos from 8am-11am. I work at 7am and lunch isn't until 12pm. So I would never really be able to get one. But one day, I did a half day and got one! YUM! I got their basic bacon breakfast burrito to see if their simple one is good as well, and it is! Good portions of all the ingredients. My only criticism is having too small of a window for breakfast burritos. That's almost really it. Super nachos, guac on the side and extra sour cream. I normally get the sour cream on the side but forgot to say that today. Customer service from the older cashier was whack af. My issue is that, I asked and paid for extra sour cream. When I got my order I asked where's the extra sour cream, and they said they put it on the plate. So I opened the plate in front of the entire staff and asked again where's the extra sour cream? And they said "right there, under the chips" so I lifted up the chips and start to pick with my fingers and show the sour cream, which looked like this. The whole staff just kinda looked at me and just giggled together saying stuff probably behind my back. Cashier was rude and not helpful just saying "I'm not the cook, I didn't make it" well obviously you didn't make it. I'm telling the cashier about the lack of sour cream and she just keeps repeating herself. So I ask and purchase ANOTHER SOUR CREAM side for another $2.20. A nice whole big container side of sour cream. Just to prove my point. I know when I'm being treated different because soy coreano/chino en dentro de un restaruante mexicano. They can add a working soda machine. This place has gone downhill and I'm sad about it. Also, they can pay more attention to the orders. They labeled my food wrong, and as I was picking up my order they had forgotten to label another customers food correctly. Cocinero needs to stop flirting with Peniffer Lopez.. First time I came I got the carne asada burrito! It hit the spot, it had flavor, great size and delicious. The red salsa is killer! Got the 5 Taquitos w guacamole and cheese. Hate to say it but although there was a good helping of guacamole it was bland, barely even any avocado flavor, cheese was also flavorless. Ordered here yesterday I haven't been here in a while. The food was always really good but after yesterday I have a different opinion my wife my son and I all got sick off of the carne asada fries the taste was good but it wasn't like before and the portion was super small compared to what it use to be and we ended up paying more than before they became stingy with their meat. read more

This place is disgusting and their customer service is nonexistent!! Placed a phone order for pick up within 10 min. The nachos were stale and the fries completely soggy. The quality of food was extremely poor. When we called to inquire about taking the food back for a refund we were told to take the food back with the receipt. They never once disclosed their refund policy over the phone. In person, they said they cannot do a full refund only partial. We declined ordering something else as AGAIN THE FOOD WAS DISGUSTING. They completely dismissed our complaint and said partial refund or different food item but that's all. We ultimately left without a full refund or food as they felt those two options were the only right thing to offer. Why would we take any other meal as a replacement when the food to begin with was simply bad!?? With crappy food and no customer service this place shouldn't be in business! My husband went in today with a friend around 1:30-2:10pm to this restaurant. The cashier that was there was very unprofessional. Her attitude towards the clients not only to my husband but also towards another customer that was there as well was so rude and dismissive and critical, she was arrogant, dismissive, sarcastic, ignoring requests, rolling eyes, showing clear annoyance when asked questions, appearing uninterested or unhappy with their job. She was showing visible frustration, and negativity. Her attitude created a tense, uncomfortable, and negative atmosphere. Who can enjoy their lunch hour after an encounter like that? Honestly surprised how they have good google reviews. I haven't been here after they messed up my order the first time but thought I could give them a SECOND CHANCE. I ordered a burrito with only beans, potato and cheese. I told the lady 3 times no egg, I'm allergic. And what comes in my burrito, egg and ham.... the lady was very rude about it saying I told her wrong when I had 2 witnesses. The only thing I tried were the nachos and I'm not going to lie--they weren't bad. Carne asada had no speck of fat. You know how you be chewing happily then suddenly have to stop because of tire rubber fat? Yeah, that didn't happen here and I'm so so thankful. I always chew with caution but I am happy to report I left a clean plate.... well a clean Styrofoam takeout box. For my taste, I felt there weren't enough chips for all the toppings and it was missing some spice. Pico de Gallo or some jalapeños and these nachos would have been 10x better. I don't think they were good enough to go out of my way to come here but that's just me. If I lived in Pico, that might be a different story. Living more than 15 minutes away is not worth it for me. Only place I'm willing to go so far for is The Hat in Fullerton for them chili fries. Anyway-- if you do find yourself at Albert's: the nachos are 100% fine. Could be better of course but for a late night snack or afternoon lunch they were perfectly fine. If i worked around the area, I'd probably be a regular for lunch. read more

At about 5:30 pm I came in to order a lengua burrito and order of beef taquitos. I shared the burrito with my mom. That same night I was nauseous and had diarrhea. I called up my mom and she has been throwing up all night and diarrhea along with body aches. I called to speak to the manager the person that answered said she be in to work in two days. I was calling to warn them to throw out the old lengua and to check their food for spoilage but the girl that answered seemed unfazed. I can't believe this place is serving food like this. Update Review None Elite Squad so I stopped by yesterday and during this Pandemic they're open but theres a couple things.. 1 you order in the inside but have to wait outside for your order with the rest of the people waiting while cars are passing by and big trucks blowing dirty smoke at you..and all the employees have Masks that cover only their mouth..I mean none of them are covering their nose just their mouths ..I mean the positive is they're wearing masks but what's the point if they're exposing their noses right?... other than that.. it's still a 3 star read more

Been coming here for years. I get their breakfast burritos regularly to share since they are pretty big. Great taquitos too

WACKEST Cali burrito Dry as hell No cream No salsa(accepts a teaspoon of unflavored Pico we gallo) OILY!! Tasteless The worse part.. they cut the potatoes themselves which is fine but there's an overwhelming flavor of unwashed potato in the burrito. Whoa! This is one of my favorite places to go out and eat at late at night! I love their California burrito! Always flavorful and always just $8.50 I feel you cannot get a better deal out there and I will recommend everyone to go try out this place for sure!
