They are rude as heck over here!! Don't go!! I was trying to order from the Lunch menu which ends at 2:30pm. It was 2:35pm and she wouldn't grant it. Instead of explaining further, she just continues doing her job, checking out another customer & preparing other orders! I said "I'm trying to order!! Hello!!??" And she ignores me so I leave!!! I love love love this sushi place! I love the owner! Literally the sweetest woman I've ever met. Great customer service. Delicious sushi. I've tried sushi and this is absolutely my favorite! I was greeted by a nice lady who quickly offered the little special that was going on. 20$ walking out price for a tiger roll and Mexican roll. Taking a look at sushi restaurants, I saw Jin Sushi wasn't too far away from me. I ordered a sushi combo that includes 6 pieces of sushi that the chef picks and a Shrimp tempura roll with a California roll added as an extra part to my order. All 3 parts of the meal were delicious! The 6 piece of sushi were all different and were of high quality with exquisite taste, the shrimp tempura roll was satisfactory, and even comes with the sauces to put on it for takeaway orders. The California roll is a great price and a good taste as well. Overall, Jin Sushi more than met my expectations and I will be returning back the next time I want to get some sushi! read more

The people here were very friendly. The food was ok. I ordered the baked scallop roll and the California roll. They were both nothing special. Typical sushi. I was a little disappointed when I asked for an extra ginger because I was sharing with my boyfriend and we both love ginger. She told me it would be an extra dollar for a 2 oz ramekin. I have never been charged at a sushi place for extra ginger. I didn't have any extra cash so she said she would take care of it. We only got one ginger for two sushi rolls. They packed the hot roll with the cold roll so both were room temperature which was weird. read more

I came here because the Yelp community gave it a 4 1/2 stars, so, because I live nearby I ventured into this restaurant. All I can say is that, you will NOT be disappointed for all it's worth! I started off with the shrimp tempura, & the batter is just excellent! Its taste is light & no heavy "over used" oil on your palette remains even after many bites of it. The nigiri sushi is fresh & no after taste at all, or sliminess. Service is impeccable, & they make sure that everything is all right every so often! I was fortunate enough to meet one of the chefs, Charlie, & he was super cool & did not mind my critiquing of what may have been lacking. I also met the owner who happens to own several other Sushi restaurants in the LA county area, & was so very gracious & friendly! Overall, the fish was fresh & was super delicious, & I will definitely come back here & recommend anyone in the Downey area to go & try! You will not be disappointed. read more
