Another great meal at Jincook. The Bossam was tender, the Spicy Pork Hot Stone was sizzling and full of flavor, and the banchan was fresh. The only thing that stood out was the braised short ribs. They were still tasty, but a little chewier than what I've had at the Buena Park location, where they were much more tender. Great service, generous portions, and authentic Korean comfort food. I'll definitely be back.

Bibimbap Hot Stone asked for a non spicy, waitress didn't even say there is kimchi that's spicy.

I recently visited their Buena Park's location and remembered seeing this location in LA downtown, Little Tokyo. I suggested this place to my friends for a dinner meet up and was pretty embarrassed how I raved about it but this location totally SUCKED!! Should of realized that there was literally no wait on a Friday night even on Yelp wait list. Start of with the food... Prices are more expensive than their OC location. At least $2-$3 pricier for a plate. The food was underwhelming for the price tag. The quantity is less than their other locations. The taste was so bland!!! Banchans was underwhelming too. The selections was something we didn't want a refill on, maybe that's what they wanted? Lol. We ordered the MUSHROOM CURRY. Tasted like those packaged curry house from the market, aside from that, the curry sauce was more runny than thick. $2 extra for an overcooked egg. I ordered the brisket hot stone. $2 extra for an egg ad well. This was what I was craving so bad, and so disappointed I wanted to cry! BLAND! BLAND! BLAND! The hot stone pot obviously was not hot enough or the rice cooked with too much water because I wanted crunchy rice did not even came close to crunchy, even after I left ot on the hot plate for 15 minutes. The plate was kind of wet/moist and it was like steaming it on a hot plate and that's it! The $2 extra for an egg was overcooked on all 3 entrees. Isn't the yolk supposed to be a bit runny to cook on the rice?? My friensd ordered the bimbimbap and asked for no spicy because she can't handle any spice. Waitress said "OK" whatever that means, but failed to address the Kimchi was on the plate. The Kimchi is spicy, could of swapped it out with something not spicy but she never mentioned it. Hot stone on this plate was useless. Never crunched up the bottom of the rice. Instead tasted like steamed veggies with soggy rice. The best thing on the table was the japchae which they forgot about it and brought put to my other friend when the rest of us were almost done with our plates probably 15-20 minutes AFTER the rest of us got out food. No apologies, no acknowledgement. Just said, let me check on it TWICE! Japchae was good but a little to greasy from the sesame oil. Customer service was only non existence, no smiles, no emotions. We felt like us being there was a bothersome. Really? Business for you seemed bothersome! The water was room temperature water, and never came back to refilled it. Service kind of just vanished and took awhile to flag them down to get the anything and the check. Parking could be a nightmare. Street parking only or park at near parking structure for $10- $15 with some walking to get there. We were lucky, found street parking down the street. I could not expressed enough how numb I am feeling with this location and I will never return again!! Go to their Buena Park location where waiters know about their food. Where service is so much better with smiles and because they actually come over to mix your hot stone pot for you and gosh, my gosh, food is so much more delicious. Bigger portions and and prices are lower and THE RICE ACTUALLY GOT CRISPY on the hot stone pot. Lots of free parking too, but they are busy and wait on a weekend could be a little bit long.

Such a good find in Little Tokyo. My hubby and I were craving Korean food and saw that they had a special for tteokboki on Tuesdays, so obviously we had to try that! The bibimbap was delicious and came out nice and hot. It was filling, flavorful, and such a good deal with the happy hour pricing. For a couple of dollars extra, you can add bulgogi but you can also get the bibimbap as a vegetarian dish. Both ways, you will eat a substantial dish. We also got the tteokboki, and the rice cakes had that perfect chewy texture. The sauce had the nice amount of flavor and spice, but be careful. If you say mild, it honestly leaned more medium according to our server. Food came out surprisingly fast. Service was great throughout our meal since we kept asking for water! Everyone left full and hapy. Ambiance is a vibe and it's a fun place to stop after spending the day walking around LIttle Tokyo. Would definitely come back, especially for that deal!

Soooo goood! Visiting some friend in LA and we stopped into JinCook to get dinner -- what a great choice! The dumplings were so flavorful and the hot stone pot was so delicious especially with the crispy rice on the bottom. Service was great, would definitely come back. Their pork belly dish was delicious and very tender. Seafood pancake was our table's favorite item of the evening. Rose tteokbokki was a bit on the sweeter side and had a lot more sauce compared to other places. Staff was wonderful and they check on you periodically. They are running a BOGO 50% on alcohol.

Dined in for lunch with a group of 12 people. Luckily we took the two biggest tables there. There was a wait after we got there. Most of the booths were small and it looks like having more than 3 people would be tight. Parking: you can park at judge Aiso parking lot which is close by for cheap. Food: The food was delicious! We loved the crispy seafood pancake that came out hot. The short ribs were amazing! Fall off the bone and tender. The rose tteokbokki was tasty, super cheesy and the flavors mixed well. These are my favorites and must share with a group! Drinks: they have bogo 50% for all alcohol, but we might have missed something. Only our beers were 50% off and not the soju? Idk why. Also, if your group is more than 6 people they charge 18% tip automatically. They charged the tip based on the pre-discounted price.

Our group walked in on a Friday evening without reservations. It took about 15 minutes to get seated. Inside was minimal long restaurant with benches and tables. Food was so good. Soju was buy one get a second bottle half off, so we got all flavors they had. The lemon flavor was the worst, the green grape was the best. Every dish was good. If I had to order again, I would get the garlic suyuk again. I can skip the steamed dumplings if anything. The rose tteobokki wasn't spicy at all so anyone could enjoy it. The braised beef had tteobokki too and we added cheese. This is always a group favorite and I'm glad we ordered one to share.

This place was such a good find. Me and a few friends were hungry after walking around little tokyo so we decided to dine in here. Wow! Everything was sooo delicious! Even the drinks were yummy too. The food came out very quickly and the service was great. I decided to try the mushroom curry hot stone and it was my favorite dish of the night. I can see myself coming back just for the mushroom curry. So flavorful and unique. Everyone enjoyed their food and I can confidently say we were all satiated. Inside was a bit tight and it can get busy so expect a wait. Ambiance was a vibe.

The food here was out of this world. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The standout was definitely the pork belly rice in the stone bowl. I can't recommend this place enough!

I went here for some KBBQ on a recent work trip. The interior was quaint and reminded me of old school Korea. There were signs and wooden awnings inside that reminded me of classic Korea. We were greeted warmly by the staff and the restaurant was bustling. There were kids and adults at the tables, all enjoying their various dinners. We ordered, LA kalbi for me and I think my coworker had pork. We got four banchans including a couple of kimchi dishes, a spinach namul and tofu dish, and marinated onions with jalapeños. Overall, I'd say the food was on the sweet side. Sweet kimchi, sweeter than I prefer kalbi (though it was pretty tasty) and the onions were sweet as well. Otherwise, the food was good, and the service was also attentive. If you're looking for some Americanized Korean food, this may be your spot, especially when they sprinkle then sear cheese on top of the dishes. I'd come back here again, but I think I'd rather try other KBBQ first. It's worth a try if you are looking for a Korean meal in a pinch.

Good, hearty Korean food in Little Tokyo. Love the complimentary banchan -- something a lot of newer Korean spots have quietly done away with. Interior is nice and staff are friendly. The one downside is the price. Most dishes run $20+, which feels steep when you can get the same quality in KTown or the SGV for less.

I've visited a JinCook at the Glendale branch, but it's nice to see that they opened one up in Little Tokyo. My favorite part about this place is that their restroom is SO CLEAN (for little tokyo!!). Never felt so comfortable in a restroom in LA until here lol. We visited during a Sunday lunch and it was not busy at all. Plenty of tables were open. We ordered quite a few things to share, we got to try the sweet potato cheese curry katsu, garlic suyuk, and the seafood pancake. Everything was so delicious! The garlic suyuk came out first and we all really enjoyed this one. The pork was so soft! The sweet potato cheese curry katsu was also really nice, everything was such a nice balance between the sweet potato, cheese, and curry was all a nice touch. The katsu was also very nice and crunchy! The seafood pancake was also pretty good too, very hefty. I would say it's a bit undercooked(?) so you can taste the batter a bit and everything inside of it, but I thought it was still pretty good since the top layer has a very nice crisp. Generally, portions are pretty huge so it's great we got to share everything. Overall, wonderful lunch here and 10/10 restrooms. Interior decor also very cute.

Great food but okay service. It took a long time for a server to greet the table. After some time passed I noticed that it was just one person waiting the tables and this was during anime expo weekend. So huge respect to the person that was managing everything on the floor. I wished she checked in a little bit more for refills or other things. The tteokbokki was the greatest I've ever had in my life and I definitely recommend to try. We shared with everyone so me plus 3 other people. The curry katsu was very yummy too. My nose started getting all hot and runny because of it but it wasn't anything unmanageable. Check this place out. Now I want to come back to the area to try everything else!!

I think I've been coming here for a very, very long time--probably for about 20 years! I used to come here quite often back then. At some point, though, I stopped coming as much because the parking situation in this shopping center became so busy and chaotic that it was difficult to even get in from the entrance. Also, the last time I came here, maybe two years ago, the valet parking attendant was so rude that I didn't really feel like coming back. This time, since we were already in the area for the spa, we decided to stop by again. Back when I first started coming here, it was just a very small noodle restaurant. One thing they've kept all these years--and what I think is such a great touch--is that they still serve yeolmu kimchi and kkom-bori-bap (barley rice) as a complimentary side. The restaurant became incredibly popular over the years and eventually expanded into the neighboring space, so there are now many more tables than there used to be. Since it had been such a long time since my last visit, I noticed they had quite a few new menu items that weren't available before, including galbi-jjim (braised short ribs), samgyetang (Korean ginseng chicken soup), and galbi noodle soup. One of my brothers and I ordered the perilla oil makguksu each, and it was absolutely delicious! It had such a rich, nutty flavor from the perilla oil, and it was one of those dishes that makes you think about it again later. In the past, I would always order the clam kalguksu whenever I came here, but this time I decided to try something different. My other brother ordered the clam kalguksu, and my mom had the dolsot (Hot stone) bibimbap. I tried a spoonful of my mom's dolsot bibimbap because I really like bibimbap too, and it was delicious as well. In the past, the wait here used to be incredibly long. You had to write your name and phone number by hand at the entrance, and then a staff member would come outside and call your name when your table was ready. This time, the system was different. We were told to simply wait in line, and she would take our orders outside. She said the wait would only be about 5-10 minutes, and she was absolutely right. While we were waiting in line outside, she handed us menus, took our orders, and then seated us at our table. The food came out quickly, the service was very friendly, and everything we ordered was delicious. It turned out to be a very satisfying dinner. After coming back here again after such a long time, I completely understood why this place has been so popular for so many years. It was just as popular back then as it is now, and honestly, I can see why!

On top of that, the interior is clean, cute, and very well-kept. Parking is quite limited, though--even with valet service, it gets super congested. Because of that, getting a table is usually pretty tough, but we got so lucky last Sunday and were seated right away. The food was absolutely divine, and we left completely satisfied. Honestly, I almost wish fewer people knew about this place so I could come more often. They're just that good.
