I found Hanu Korean BBQ since it was close to our DTLA office and looked like it can host our group of 10 ladies who loooovvee kbbq. One of my friends also gave the restaurant a heads up and make a reservation for us. We all had a great experience and left with happy smiles and full tummies. They split our group up in two tables, seated directly next to each other with a split in the middle. Totally good with us and we were able to easily get out to use their restroom since we weren't in one whole row. My side got the B Combo (L) for $204.99, made to enjoy for 5 people. It came with Wagyu Steak, Marinated Bone-in short Rib, Bulgogi, Brisket, Pork Belly, Pork Jowl, Marinated Shrimp, Mushrooms, and Vegetables. Big kudos for the brains behind the menu, because it was the perfect amount for our group of 5. We all left full, but not too full that we couldn't fit a dessert in. If you're group of friends doesn't have a chef or just want to blab all night, they got you. Their servers will cook and cut all the meat for you to enjoy. I don't go to a lot of kbbq places without cooking my own meat, so this was definitely a treat. Totally worth it so you can focus on talking to your friends. Their servers are great and tell us when it's time to eat and have the timing of the cook down to the T. They are also very friendly, super fast, and checked on our big group from time to time. The restaurant has their own huge parking lot, which was pretty empty on a Tuesday night. Lucky us. It saved our group the hassle to find street parking and its a bonus for not stressing about where to park. They also have a small fruit stand out front, which I regret not purchasing ahead of time since they were closed after our dinner. I'll know better next time! I would definitely recommend more people to visit Hanu Korean BBQ for their delicious KBBQ combo meals, great service, and convenient parking. 10 out of 10 would come again!

Parking is a plus! Easy to get reservation via Yelp. This is not AYCE but its combo sets are value for money. We had combo A $110 for 2 people. It came with Wagyu steak and thin brisket, bulgogi, steamed egg, bean paste stew, kimchi fried rice and corn cheese. This's enough for 3 people. All the food items are great except the Wagyu steak which is not tender even we asked for medium rare. And the kimchi fried rice was bland.

    Kalbi! Sooo gooood!

I love Hanu!! I had the pleasure of coming in for various birthdays, occasions & casual dining and always had a pleasant experience! This was the first time dining in their new patio area! I guess it was under construction for awhile. But it's equipped with 2 TV's on each end so everyone has a good view despite where you're sitting! So thoughtful (: Food: delicious! There's so many kbbq spots in the surrounding area but we always find ourselves at Hanu! It seems like they prioritize great cuts of meats! And the other items on the menu are also so good! The servers cook for you so you can enjoy yourselves. They also serve a nice array of banchans in tasteful dishware! Appreciate the details! Service: great! It can get busy but the servers know what they're doing and it seems like they have their system down! The dishes come to your table via a cute robot and as mentioned, servers cook the meats for you during your meal. They switch out the grill accordingly and it's always nice to know that they're observant towards the customer's needs! And there is this super sweet woman named Viv at the front host stand who always greets us so warmly! She also checks in to see how our dining experience is going and i appreciate how personable she is! Restrooms: available for customers! The women's restroom has 2 stalls and it's always clean! It also has a full length mirror for a mid meal fit checkkkkk Parking: there's ample parking! There's an attendant there but every time I drove, they directed me to park anywhere and it was free! I do love the fact that it's located right before the heart of ktown. Which worked out for me when I went in for dinner + watch korea World Cup game. Didn't have to deal with extra congestion. Highly recommend! See you guys again real soon!!

We came for a late lunch on a weekday around 3 PM, and there were only a few tables occupied. We ordered a combo--overall, the quality was just okay, and only one of the meats really stood out to me. The side dishes, like the kimchi fried rice, pancake, and tofu soup, were disappointing. The server cooked the meat for us quite quickly, which made it feel a bit rushed--like she just wanted to get it done. Because of that, we didn't really get to enjoy the meal at our own pace.

Cozy kbbq vibes with good quality meats. Went for a bro hangout mid-week. Theres a parking lot for the building with valet. We ubered so no biggie - but saw people parking on their own as well. Had reservations - was a pretty busy place, but sat immediately. The decor was just like a normal mom n pop kbbq / Korean restaurant - no fancy digs. You have to make a point to flag down the staff - they are running around all over the place. Once we did so, we ordered the medium beef combo along with some beer and soju. The drinks came first - your standard fare. They do have barley tea if you ask for it. The banchan arrived shortly afterwards. Also your standard dishes - along with a salad. As part of the combo, you do get corn cheese and kimchi soup. Then the meats came. The staff do cook and cut for you - so no need to worry about dealing with it. The meat was good quality for the price. There are some wagyu cuts, but even the brisket is meaty and definitely not freeze dried vibes. All in all - would def come back, think it's a good bang for your buck non-AYCE place.

We had a good lunch here! Upon curb appeal there's a hit to be desired as the large building has construction, has openings on the main floor and upper floors/signage is for doctor/medical offices. BUT there is free private lot parking which is a plus! Entering the restaurant is large and the booth tables are long and comfortable. The beef quality was excellent! We like every cut we got and the pork belly was good as well. Only thing we would skip next time is the intestines. They have some TVs to watch the gams and the banchan was also pretty good. Price was not too bad too for the high quality!

We asked to move instead of arguing. We were trying to cooperate.

Thank you for your response, but this does not reflect our experience. We were never offered a practical solution. Instead, we were told that our child was our responsibility and that we needed to figure it out ourselves. No staff member offered to help us find a better placement for the stroller or suggested an alternative arrangement. We were the ones trying to find a solution and asking to speak with management. Rather than working with us to resolve the issue, security was brought into the situation almost immediately, which made us feel unwelcome and embarrassed in front of our family. We came to celebrate a birthday with a sleeping child, not to create a conflict. We simply expected communication, respect, and an opportunity to resolve the situation before being asked to leave.

Came here with a group of friends on a Saturday morning, and the first win was the huge parking lot because we all know parking in K-town can be an absolute nightmare. The restaurant itself is clean and well-kept, but I would say it's not the most ideal setup for larger groups. They were able to accommodate us by seating us at two tables next to each other, though we were still slightly separated. It wasn't a huge issue for us, but definitely something to keep in mind if you're hoping for one big table where everyone can sit closely together. This isn't AYCE, but their set meal came with more than enough meat to the point where we were genuinely struggling to finish everything. The portions were generous, and the quality didn't feel skimpy at all. They also included a variety of side dishes! The only thing that caught me off guard was being charged for rice paper, since I'm used to it being included at most KBBQ spots. That said, the server gave us plenty, so it wasn't a big deal, just something to note. Both of our servers were friendly and attentive, and I really appreciated that they cooked the meat for us. It made the experience feel more relaxed and allowed us to just enjoy the food! Overall, a great experience with solid food and service. I'd definitely come back!

Really the most hassle-free KBBQ joints in ktown! We made a reservation here for 6pm in case, but there seems to be a good amount of seats available still. It doesn't seem to get too crowded either later in the night, so dining here seems pretty accessible. Also, parking was free! They have their own dedicated parking lot and there were actually parking spots available. Service was quick and efficient here. We got the beef combo for 4 people, and it was definitely enough for us. I was practically full by the half point of it. We also got the corn cheese here which was pretty good! Honestly a lot better than most places that I had. My bf really enjoyed the egg + beef dish they had. Food is brought to you by the cat servers. The servers also come by to grill it for you too. Meat quality here was also really good. Banchans were all fresh. Overall experience was just very good. The interior of the place is kinda old school? Not as modern as other places, but still a greaaaat joint.

The location is a little sketch... I had a 8pm dinner reservation and I was slightly scared of leaving my car in the lot and walking into the building. Also, walking in was slightly scary since everything was being remolded. For a split second, I thought I was in the wrong place. When I walked inside the establishment, I let out a sigh of relief... We checked in with the host at the front and followed a robot to our table. The robot would also bring our food to the table. However, our trusty server did all the hard work, which was grilling! We ordered the beef set for 3-4 and it was a LOT of food. In all honestly, I was a little underwhelmed. After seeing the 4.7 star rating, maybe my expectations where a little high. The quality of the meat was underwhelming. It was good but it was not the quality of meat or wagyu I have eaten elsewhere. I also didn't like that you had to pay extra for certain banchans. Service - Great Food - Good Location - Poor Overall - 3.7 Stars

Ambiance: it's a spacious Korean bbq place, and they have a large parking lot shared with other businesses, currently there's construction going on for the shrine karaoke in the same establishment Service: very friendly and attentive, provided useful suggestion and served water adequately Food: variety choices of bbq items and combos Banchan - ** limited kinds, the crunchy radish was good Marinated Bone-In Short Rib - **** sweet and flavorful, recommend Buckwheat Cold Noodle Soup - ** broth was good, but buckwheat noodles were too soggy and stuck together Galbi-Beef Short Rib Soup - **** chewy and tasty with sweet and sour dipping sauce, recommend Price: moderate portions and reasonable prices, expect $35+ per person, and there's a 3.5% surcharge for credit card payment

Great tasting Korean BBQ. A few pluses - they take reservations, there's a parking lot (if you've been to KTown) before you know parking is a luxury here. We were seated right away with our reservation. They come around and help you cook and it's not too smoky inside. The robot brings dishes to your table after you have place your order. Wish they brought out the banchan earlier and not at the same time as the meat. Wish they also had a combo for 2 that had beef and pork. Only downside they were quick to give us our check but took forever to bring our to go boxes.

Every Filipino swears their food is better at home and I'm sure it may be, but we need to appreciate places like this that put our cuisine out there and make it this good! I never thought to eat bibinka with savory foods because it's normally a dessert to me, but it is definitely the icing! All the meats were definitely tasty, but the star that made these proteins pop was the vinegar! My youngest said that's just me being Filipino because he said it didn't need the vinegar, but trust me... make sure to use that vinegar. I can probably drink the vinegar because it's that good! Such a nice option when you want something a little different without going across town. We ordered the coconut beef adobo, pork ribs, and the cornbread bibingka. The coconut beef adobo was definitely the standout for me. It kind of reminded me of Bicol express with a slight tanginess. Super flavorful and really good with steamed rice. The pork ribs were not your typical saucy, sweet, fall off the bone type. These were more dry style with a bark that can be a little tough, but the meat itself was still juicy underneath. The cornbread bibingka was also really good. It felt like the perfect mix of classic cornbread and bibingka, slightly sweet and soft, and the sugar on top was a nice touch. Portions were solid too. My husband and I had enough leftovers for the next day. Overall, really glad we finally got to try it, and we would definitely love to try more of their dishes someday.

I usually go with the Angus beef rib (soy tare) and toro beef (soy tare), and the combo comes with rice, salad, and miso soup. At $15.95 (before tax), it's a great value for two meat options. Another thing I like -- though it might not be for everyone -- is that you get to cook your own meat. I prefer my meat done a certain way, so it's nice having that control, and everyone can cook it to their own preference. One downside is that service can be slow during lunch hours, as they often seem understaffed.

The place is somewhat small but does still fit a good number of people inbetween various booth and table sizes filled with grills in them. The staff were very quick and efficient and the food was pretty good overall. I got the beyond beef bowl as a combo. I do wish they let us know about the included miso soup wasn't vegetarian at first because I had to switch it for the seaweed salad later but at least the staff were very accommodating. I guess the negative would be is it felt like a "rushed" experience and the food didn't blow me away. But compared to everything with roast costs, I still think it's pretty decent and they have a good "happy hour".

Back in the day, you had to get there early because the place STAYED PACKED, and their ribs were THEE reason to go. They were hands down some of the best ribs I ever had as a kid. They put me on. Fast forward 15-20 years later, and today was my first time coming back since my teenage years. I tried calling ahead to place an order, but couldn't get through. Honestly, that didn't surprise me because Woody's was always busy. I figured it was still the same old Woody's. Then I pulled into the parking lot around 6 PM on a Thursday. Immediately, there was parking available. That alone felt odd. No line. Plenty of parking. Not a single customer inside. That should have been my first sign. We ordered beef ribs, sliced brisket, mac and cheese, and dessert. They were out of the banana pudding, so we settled for peach cobbler. The total was around $50, which isn't bad for dinner for two. The excitement really started to hit when we got home and opened everything up. Unfortunately, that's when reality set in. The mac and cheese was terrible. Completely flavorless, watery, and mushy. The pasta was so overcooked it practically fell apart and blended together like baby food. It tasted old and had absolutely no seasoning or richness whatsoever. First and last time ordering that. Next was the brisket. The slices were gray, dry, and looked like they'd been sitting around for a while. I took one bite and immediately said, "Absolutely not." Another disappointment. But I wasn't too worried yet because I came for one thing: THE RIBS. The flavor was actually still there. The sauce and seasoning reminded me of the Woody's I remembered. BUT THE TEXTURE... A completely different story. The ribs weren't tender, weren't juicy, and definitely weren't falling off the bone. They were tough enough that I found myself working for every bite. At that point, the empty parking lot, empty dining room, and lack of lines made a lot more sense. By the end of the meal, I ended up rinsing the remaining ribs off so my dog could enjoy them as a chew toy. What hurts most isn't the bad meal--it's seeing what was once a legendary BBQ spot become a shadow of what it used to be. I almost wish I hadn't come back because it tarnished some really great childhood memories for me. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I also believe in being honest. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but based on this experience, Woody's is not the Woody's I remember, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. If it's any consolation, the cobbler was okay. But not worth going out of my way for.
