Seriously, the sweetest server here and we are so grateful we had her She gave us the best experience!

I just wanted to give a major shout out to our amazing server, Hyunjung! She is the absolute sweetest and made our experience the best ever. Shes also really skilled at cooking so everything was perfection. In the end, she formed our fried rice into a heart.. SHE IS AMAZING!! I can see why this place is so popular! Everything was 10/10. We got the Modeum combo with a side of pork jowl and I have to say that this is some of the best offal I've ever had. The flavors were mind blowing. Even down to the banchan, everything was thoughtfully made and seasoned to perfection.

I go here with friends in town and friends out of town. It's a staple in any itinerary because quality of the meals are just SO GOOD. We always get the Beef Combo, and if we're feeling the craving we get the Daejang (large intestines) .. if you're feeling adventurous you should most def try, it's chewy savory creamy goodness Our recent server Yuna was excellent. The grilling was perfect and we were treated to one of the best meals we've had in this branch. Hope we get her again next time!

Luckily, we had a reservation so we did not have to wait more for our table. You do need your entire party to sit though. They have some prefix options, but you can also order ala carte. They also come around and cook for you, which is also a plus. Their fans are going strong, so it's not too smoky as well. I normally feel like I leave Korean barbecue restaurants smelling like food, but this wasn't the case this time. Meats are really tasty and cooked very well by the staff. My only complaint was that the hostess wasn't the friendliest when you check in and when we ordered the waitress, also wasn't that friendly and we felt rushed when placing the order. They have valet parking, but I was able to find meter street parking that was free after 6 PM.

We haven't been to Ahgassi Gopchang in a very very long time and we had good memories of the restaurant so we were all excited to go! We got there late at night around 10pm Saturday and we got seated right away. We got their ahgassi combo and one order of large intestine. We liked all the side dishes that they had out, and all the meats were good quality. The bean sprouts that came with the brisket is always clutch. Love it! The pork belly was a bit on the chewier side but overall the food tasted good and we all had a good experience! Our Server was really nice and the restaurant was clean and good ambience for a place to chill and hang out with friends!

20 minute wait for a party of 4 on a Sunday night :) Had a wonderful experience here, server was nice and attentive. We got the Ahgassi combo and their banchan was really yummy and thankfully didn't have that sink water taste lol. Also tried their intestine, not the biggest fan but wanted to try. Good when crispy! Valet parking and street parking! About $70 per person out of 4 ppl for the 2 combos :)

Service: Amazing service with friendly staff. They worked quickly while also giving us the time to eat the meat before cooking the next plate. Food: All the beef were so tender and perfectly seasoned. Some restaurants' meats are either too bland or too salty, but it was perfect here. Side dishes were great and refillable. Kimchi Stew was probably the highlight of the meal. One of the best I've ever had. Parking: Valet only. I recommend ubering or street parking. Wait Times: Restaurant is usually packed and they take reservations. My walk-in time estimate was 1 and a half hours, but we were seated at the 1 hour mark.

It was not too busy on a Sunday afternoon, we were party of 8, including 3 kids. To celebrate one of the cousins birthday, the food was delicious, services are good but not feeling attentive, always needed to ask for something! I personally don't like their side dishes, average $40-50/person. Valet Parking on site (cash $4)

Ahgassi is hands down one of the best Korean bbq places around Korean Town. From the free side dishes to the dipping sauce and the high quality meat, you can't beat Ahgassi anywhere else. Their sauces taste amazing and their egg soup is something I always get here. It is another one of those spots where the employees cook for you rather than you cook for yourself, so you can focus on eating and chatting with friends than cooking yourself. They have ample amount of seating, but their booth seats are a bit uncomfortable compared to the chair seating, but other than that I would recommend visiting here at least once.

I came here after a media event just right across the street. I absolutely loved this place. Sure, it's not an AYCE, but the meat is so delicious. All the banchan was also delicious. We came on a Saturday night, and lucky for us, there wasn't a wait. For anyone that's looking for quality meat in Ktown, make this the spot!

Came here late on a Saturday night with a friend for dinner. The staff here was SO friendly and were happy to help at any second. We got the Ahgassi combo which was more than enough food for 2 people. I was stuffed! I enjoyed the beef here but the pork belly was pretty much all fat. Of course it was still delicious, but not my favorite pork belly ever. For the Ahgassi combo, you get brisket, short rib, pork steak and your choice of pork belly or pork jowl for $79. I think that's a pretty great price for how much food you get. It's also a major plus that their vents don't allow for ANY grill smoke to travel. It's nice to dine and enjoy your BBQ without sitting in a smoky room. I would totally come back! Environment was super chill and it was easy to get a table by just walking in (though it was Coachella weekend, so not sure if that makes a difference)!

Okay, I'll admit I wanted to go here because it was recommended by Jin of BTS. It was two Saturdays ago and slightly passed the lunch hour rush and there was no waiting. The service was more polite than friendly but maybe it was a hectic lunch crowd? Table was prepared with the banchan plated as we were seated. We ordered Ahgassi Combo and it was all very delicious except for the brisket which was a bit tough and chewy. I ended up eating most of it because my friend immediately went for the next cut of meat. We enjoyed everything else and really liked the banchan. I would come back for the Gopchang Combo. Now to find someone who will try it with me

The combos here are really good! Love the prices, the open and airy restaurant, and banchan. Would definitely come back!

Had a reservation for 8PM on a Sunday and were seated immediately, which was great. We ordered the Small Ahgassi Combo ($79). Even though it's not AYCE, the portion was definitely enough for two. We even had leftovers and took the pork jowl to go. The meats were high quality and really delicious. It also came with steamed egg, and we chose the kimchi stew, which paired well with everything. Service was very fast and attentive, and I appreciated that they cook the meats for you. Parked in the back lot with valet ($4 cash or $7 card), though there aren't many spots available. Definitely a must-try in the area!

Ask the Community - Ahgassi Gopchang

    Is there parking?

Yes. We have the valet parking inside of the building.…

    Can you make reservations?

We are currently not doing reservations at the moment. However, this may change. You can contact the store manager if you wish to book large parties and they can plan accordingly to your request. Thank you!

Service dog allow to enter the restaurant?

Yes, they do. But you have to ask first. Not all is allow and maybe because of the time of the day and week

Cab you replace one item on the combo when you order? Example: I want yo buy the Aghassi combo but I would like to substitute the Pork steak for gopchang? Or instead of Steamed Egg, something else?

    No sub

Can u bring a cake to this venue?

Yes, you can. But I suggest you call in first. As the place is very busy and the storage of your cake space maybe limited. Good luck

Do they accept reservations ? Is it a long wait to get a table?

They seem to be very efficient to get people in and out. I normally go early around 4:3pm, we never had to wait.

    Can you bring alcohol?

Yes! You can only bring wine (red or white) and pay for the corkage fee of $25.

Do they have any luncheon specials?

Are there vegetarian (not vegan) options? Egg is okay just not meat

Its a korean bbq place that specializes in offal.

Is there any vegan friendly option?

The only vegan options would be the spicy noodles and request it to not have any beef.

    Do they serve rice paper?

    No they font

Do we still have to show proof of vaccination?

No, they're not asking for proof.

Havent been here in awhile, used to be able to self park during lunch time & valet starts at dinner, is this still the same or is valet all day now?

Is the fried rice cooked on the grill with the leftover gopchang?

Yes, it is. And it's absolutely delicious! (^_^)

Do you have to be vaccinated?

No! Intestine dinners make you bulletproof!

I'd like to make a reservation, but I can't get through?

No reservations. You go and put your name down.

    Can I dine alone?

Yes. The restaurant isn't AYCE. You have to purchase each item individually. They also have sets if you're really hungry/not sure what to order. But these have enough food for 2+. They cook for you too.

I am not vaccinated- will you still accept us to dine in?

    i hope not

Then guy who told the girl to seat us was just standing around d chit chatting with another employees for about 15 minutes before he even came to our table. He never even introduce himself. He just took our order. Another 20 mins came by before our food was served. OUR FOOD WAS ROOM TEMPERATURE. Short Rib was ok. The macaroni was stale and OLD! It was dry and not fresh! We asked for extra BBQ sauce and that didn't arrive for another 15 mins. We had to wave down another employee to try to get the sauce to us. I wouldn't recommend this place! Horrible service. Didn't even come around to see if we needed anything or if everything was good or not. We came here around 1:30pm on 3/16. The restroom was also out of paper towels and soap from the soda dispenser. Poor quality food! Glad I tried it, so I know to not come back again!

We ordered four of the most ordered and highly revered items: tri tip, coconut beef adobo, smoked gouda mac, and the cornbread bibingka. * Tri tip: Ours was cold and not tender.. wasn't very flavorful either. Kinda tasted like the forgotten order that's been left drying on the counter for some time. The price is decent for an entree of tri tip though. Comes with a horseradish sauce + vinegar and bbq sauce on the side, but I didn't think any of these accompaniments were strong on their own. Made the tri tip better but not by much. * Coconut beef adobo: One of the better items. Beef chunks were melt in your mouth and the sauce was a good middle between savory and vinegary - balanced out by sweetness from the coconut. * Smoked gouda mac: Would not order again. The big shell macaroni noodles were soggy; the cheese sauce was mild in flavor, clumpy and not satisfying melty; lastly, the panko crust was just there and didn't add anything imo. * Cornbread bibingka: The other better dish of the night - very moist, muffin like crumb, and not too sweet or heavy. Portion is on the smaller side though. My bf who normally isn't a fan of cornbread enjoyed this!
