    Beef Combo
    Casey Q.

Service: Amazing service with friendly staff. They worked quickly while also giving us the time to eat the meat before cooking the next plate. Food: All the beef were so tender and perfectly seasoned. Some restaurants' meats are either too bland or too salty, but it was perfect here. Side dishes were great and refillable. Kimchi Stew was probably the highlight of the meal. One of the best I've ever had. Parking: Valet only. I recommend ubering or street parking. Wait Times: Restaurant is usually packed and they take reservations. My walk-in time estimate was 1 and a half hours, but we were seated at the 1 hour mark.

It was not too busy on a Sunday afternoon, we were party of 8, including 3 kids. To celebrate one of the cousins birthday, the food was delicious, services are good but not feeling attentive, always needed to ask for something! I personally don't like their side dishes, average $40-50/person. Valet Parking on site (cash $4)

Ahgassi is hands down one of the best Korean bbq places around Korean Town. From the free side dishes to the dipping sauce and the high quality meat, you can't beat Ahgassi anywhere else. Their sauces taste amazing and their egg soup is something I always get here. It is another one of those spots where the employees cook for you rather than you cook for yourself, so you can focus on eating and chatting with friends than cooking yourself. They have ample amount of seating, but their booth seats are a bit uncomfortable compared to the chair seating, but other than that I would recommend visiting here at least once.

Okay, I'll admit I wanted to go here because it was recommended by Jin of BTS. It was two Saturdays ago and slightly passed the lunch hour rush and there was no waiting. The service was more polite than friendly but maybe it was a hectic lunch crowd? Table was prepared with the banchan plated as we were seated. We ordered Ahgassi Combo and it was all very delicious except for the brisket which was a bit tough and chewy. I ended up eating most of it because my friend immediately went for the next cut of meat. We enjoyed everything else and really liked the banchan. I would come back for the Gopchang Combo. Now to find someone who will try it with me

I came here after a media event just right across the street. I absolutely loved this place. Sure, it's not an AYCE, but the meat is so delicious. All the banchan was also delicious. We came on a Saturday night, and lucky for us, there wasn't a wait. For anyone that's looking for quality meat in Ktown, make this the spot!

Came here late on a Saturday night with a friend for dinner. The staff here was SO friendly and were happy to help at any second. We got the Ahgassi combo which was more than enough food for 2 people. I was stuffed! I enjoyed the beef here but the pork belly was pretty much all fat. Of course it was still delicious, but not my favorite pork belly ever. For the Ahgassi combo, you get brisket, short rib, pork steak and your choice of pork belly or pork jowl for $79. I think that's a pretty great price for how much food you get. It's also a major plus that their vents don't allow for ANY grill smoke to travel. It's nice to dine and enjoy your BBQ without sitting in a smoky room. I would totally come back! Environment was super chill and it was easy to get a table by just walking in (though it was Coachella weekend, so not sure if that makes a difference)!

Had a reservation for 8PM on a Sunday and were seated immediately, which was great. We ordered the Small Ahgassi Combo ($79). Even though it's not AYCE, the portion was definitely enough for two. We even had leftovers and took the pork jowl to go. The meats were high quality and really delicious. It also came with steamed egg, and we chose the kimchi stew, which paired well with everything. Service was very fast and attentive, and I appreciated that they cook the meats for you. Parked in the back lot with valet ($4 cash or $7 card), though there aren't many spots available. Definitely a must-try in the area!

Modern with flower themed Korean bbq. Good prices for premium quality meats, banchan & excellent service. Our waitress cook meats & cut them for us. Also, cook fried rice for us at the end. Perfect night to hang out with friends without robbing the bank price tags. Plus, lovely steamed egg & seafood soup comes with the set! Highly recommended beef tongue. It is out of the world good in my view. So tender, flavorful & perfect! I want to go back for more!

One of our go to spots for KBBQ and gopchang. Delicious ban chans and attentive service. They took the time cook our gopchang to perfection-so nice and crispy. Can't forget the fried rice at the end!

I was very excited to try Ahgassi Gopchang since I heard it was BTS favorite restaurant. We came on a Friday night at 6:30pm and it was not busy. We still used the valet parking which was $4 cash or $5 Venmo/zelle. We also booked a reservation on resy just in case. My boyfriend & I ordered the ahgasshi combo with an additional order of beef intestines. It was a good amount of food for 2 people. I also liked how the banchan was different from other Korean bbq places. The banchan actually hit and was seasoned very well. Quality of meats was also good. The combo also came with a kimchi soup and soft egg. My gripe was the service. Our server seemed very unwelcoming and it made me anxious to ask questions or for simple things like a napkin. Every time he came over to cook the meat, I felt very uncomfortable. They automatically selected 20% gratuity on the bill, which I can understand since they cook - but I feel like he did not provide that level of service. Overall; the food was good but I think I would prefer going to Baekjong.

i was very excited to finally try agassi gopchang after hearing so many great things, but unfortunately my experience fell far short of expectations we ordered the gopchang combo for 2, which included intestine, rice cakes, mushrooms, onions, potatoes, and fried rice. the intestine was disappointingly chewy and lacked the crispy texture that makes gopchang enjoyable. i've honestly had better gopchang at ayce korean bbq restaurants what really ruined the experience, however, was the service. our server, harry, took about 10 minutes to come take our order. after that, he completely disappeared and was nowhere to be seen for roughly 20 minutes. during that time, we received no updates and couldn't find him when we needed assistance. while walking to the restroom, i noticed him sitting in the corner of the restaurant on what appeared to be a break. another nearby table was also confused and looking around for their server eventually, we had to ask another server for help. she ended up cooking our entire meal while also managing her own tables. she was friendly and helpful, and honestly did her best to salvage the experience. it felt as though no one had been informed that our server had stepped away had the food been exceptional, i might have overlooked some of the service issues. unfortunately, the food was average at best, and combined with the poor service, it made for a very disappointing visit overall, i found the restaurant to be significantly overhyped, and i don't plan on returning

We came here for lunch and didn't have to wait to be seated. We ordered the Ahgassi combo, which was enough to feed three of us with a little leftover. The meat was good overall, the pork steak and pork jowl were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. There's also a nice variety of unique side dishes that I don't usually see at other KBBQ places, though I do wish they had rice paper. The steamed egg was soft and fluff and the tofu soup was flavorful as well. The servers were attentive and cooked and cut the meat for us. They also noticed we were still eating and moved the meat onto our plates so it wouldn't sit on the grill and become too tough. The inside ambiance is nice and lively, and the ventilation is great, I didn't leave smelling like kbbq afterward, which I really appreciated. Overall, it's a really solid kbbq spot, though the meat quality could be a little better.

We stopped by Ahgassi for a late 9:30pm dinner after a relaxing time at a spa nearby. As a party of two, we just got the ahgassi combo and mountain tripe fried rice to share and it was good amount of food. The combos all come with a stew and steamed egg. The meat was good quality and our server was constantly checking on us and grilling our food as it arrived. It was a nice touch from most kbbq places I've been to where you cook yourself, but I also enjoy doing the cooking sometimes. We loved that they're open until midnight and there were still plenty of people despite the later hours. They also have a happy hour menu so this would be a great spot with friends before or after a fun night out.

The servers wear these cute t-shirts. They don't sell these and I think they should.

Yes, they do. But you have to ask first. Not all is allow and maybe because of the time of the day and week

Can u bring a cake to this venue?

Yes, you can. But I suggest you call in first. As the place is very busy and the storage of your cake space maybe limited. Good luck

Do they accept reservations ? Is it a long wait to get a table?

They seem to be very efficient to get people in and out. I normally go early around 4:3pm, we never had to wait.

    Can you bring alcohol?

Yes! You can only bring wine (red or white) and pay for the corkage fee of $25.

Do they have any luncheon specials?

Are there vegetarian (not vegan) options? Egg is okay just not meat

Its a korean bbq place that specializes in offal.

Is there any vegan friendly option?

The only vegan options would be the spicy noodles and request it to not have any beef.

    Do they serve rice paper?

    No they font

Do we still have to show proof of vaccination?

No, they're not asking for proof.

Havent been here in awhile, used to be able to self park during lunch time & valet starts at dinner, is this still the same or is valet all day now?

Is the fried rice cooked on the grill with the leftover gopchang?

Yes, it is. And it's absolutely delicious! (^_^)

Do you have to be vaccinated?

No! Intestine dinners make you bulletproof!

I'd like to make a reservation, but I can't get through?

No reservations. You go and put your name down.

    Can I dine alone?

Yes. The restaurant isn't AYCE. You have to purchase each item individually. They also have sets if you're really hungry/not sure what to order. But these have enough food for 2+. They cook for you too.

I am not vaccinated- will you still accept us to dine in?

I never thought to eat bibinka with savory foods because it's normally a dessert to me, but it is definitely the icing! Such a nice option when you want something a little different without going across town. We ordered the coconut beef adobo, pork ribs, and the cornbread bibingka. The coconut beef adobo was definitely the standout for me. It kind of reminded me of Bicol express with a slight tanginess. Super flavorful and really good with steamed rice. The pork ribs were not your typical saucy, sweet, fall off the bone type. These were more dry style with a bark that can be a little tough, but the meat itself was still juicy underneath. The cornbread bibingka was also really good. It felt like the perfect mix of classic cornbread and bibingka, slightly sweet and soft, and the sugar on top was a nice touch. Portions were solid too. My husband and I had enough leftovers for the next day. Overall, really glad we finally got to try it, and we would definitely love to try more of their dishes someday.

Back in the day, you had to get there early because the place STAYED PACKED, and their ribs were THEE reason to go. They were hands down some of the best ribs I ever had as a kid. They put me on. Fast forward 15-20 years later, and today was my first time coming back since my teenage years. I tried calling ahead to place an order, but couldn't get through. Honestly, that didn't surprise me because Woody's was always busy. I figured it was still the same old Woody's. Then I pulled into the parking lot around 6 PM on a Thursday. Immediately, there was parking available. That alone felt odd. No line. Plenty of parking. Not a single customer inside. That should have been my first sign. We ordered beef ribs, sliced brisket, mac and cheese, and dessert. They were out of the banana pudding, so we settled for peach cobbler. The total was around $50, which isn't bad for dinner for two. The excitement really started to hit when we got home and opened everything up. Unfortunately, that's when reality set in. The mac and cheese was terrible. Completely flavorless, watery, and mushy. The pasta was so overcooked it practically fell apart and blended together like baby food. It tasted old and had absolutely no seasoning or richness whatsoever. First and last time ordering that. Next was the brisket. The slices were gray, dry, and looked like they'd been sitting around for a while. I took one bite and immediately said, "Absolutely not." Another disappointment. But I wasn't too worried yet because I came for one thing: THE RIBS. The flavor was actually still there. The sauce and seasoning reminded me of the Woody's I remembered. BUT THE TEXTURE... A completely different story. The ribs weren't tender, weren't juicy, and definitely weren't falling off the bone. They were tough enough that I found myself working for every bite. At that point, the empty parking lot, empty dining room, and lack of lines made a lot more sense. By the end of the meal, I ended up rinsing the remaining ribs off so my dog could enjoy them as a chew toy. What hurts most isn't the bad meal--it's seeing what was once a legendary BBQ spot become a shadow of what it used to be. I almost wish I hadn't come back because it tarnished some really great childhood memories for me. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I also believe in being honest. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but based on this experience, Woody's is not the Woody's I remember, and unfortunately, I won't be returning. If it's any consolation, the cobbler was okay. But not worth going out of my way for.
