Jine's is one of my favorite restaurants in the area but I left somewhat unhappy with my most recent visit. To start, the location we were seated at was unpleasant. When you first arrive and check in there is a small lobby area to wait in, If needed. The small area has now been converted to a narrow seating area with two high top tables. We took the seats they gave us but I feel this contributed to the bad experience. The waiting area is still there but now surrounds these tables. When the waiting area does get crowded you have people waiting standing around very close to you as you are eating, practically right on top of the table area. This was awkward and I will definitely request to not be seated here next time. I understand the restaurant is busy and this add more seating but it's very uncomfortable and is not what we are looking for when paying to eat out. The service was also slow. It felt like being over in this corner we did not see our server much and had to wait longer overall. Normally this is not the case when visiting and I can't help but think it is due to where we were sat. The food was excellent as always and is why I am giving a 3 star rating. Service was just not what it normally is when visiting and that was disappointing

This place was phenomenal! Went to lunch Nevada I had work in Rochester today and just wanted a quick bite, food came out fast, was so delicious and just the right size. Staff were attentive and fast. We sat outdoors but it was so clean and nice to eat outdoors, inside was beautiful as well. Seems like a popular place. I would definitely go back!

We have been walking by this restaurant for years and finally went in. We are really glad we did. The food was terrific. The Spanakopita was some of the best I've ever had. The souvlaki was another highlight as was the homemade soups. Our server was great and we had a nice chat with the owner who made sure to stop by and check on us at this busy restaurant. I highly recommend Jines.

This place is a solid spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Just a heads-up if you're coming on the weekend, expect a wait. It is what it is. Lately, I've been stopping by and I usually go for a burger cooked my way with fries. It's always tasty. Service is always friendly and helpful. As for parking, you've got a couple of options, street parking or the lot by 7-Eleven. If you use the lot, you either have to pay (see the signs with the QR Code) or send a friend in to give your info to the restaurant. I think they still validate, but definitely double check. It's an OG spot on Park Ave and when it's warmer they have outdoor seating.

Friday night date night was at Jine's, they were not busy when we walked in but it was also early. So we were immediately seated and our waiter came over a few minutes later and took our drink order while we continued to look at the menu's. So when the waiter came back with our drinks we were ready to place our food orders. I got the Broccoli veggie burger with mushrooms, lettuce and Thousand Island dressing that came with French fries. So my meal was good and the burger was too big so I had to take it off the bun and eat it without the bun. The French fries were good also I really liked the burger too. My significant other got the jerk chicken that came with potato salad, mango salsa and my pickle lol! He also enjoyed his dinner and for dessert we had the baklava one of my favorite desserts, so it was an enjoyable meal and the waitstaff were all courteous and knowledgeable. And I like the fact that when you eat at Jines Restaurant you don't have to worry about Getting your car towed as they give you 3 hours and you can register your car license plate in the restaurant.

Been coming here for years! The parking is different than what it used to be so if you go to giant park in the main parking lot to the left and then you go inside, you can enter your plate number and get a couple hours without paying. They have such a variety of food and I have many favorites. For breakfast, my friend turned me onto the crème brûlée oatmeal. I am an oatmeal fan, but not crème brûlée but together it was actually really good. We usually get this with raisin toast. The omelettes are really good as well as the breakfast sandwich. The eggs Benedict is a popular item and also people I go with usually get this for lunch. I like the grape leaves and the BLT. I'm a big fan of their honey mustard. It does have poppy seeds in it though. They also have a very good mimosa if that's what you're into. The service is consistent and on point and the staff are very nice. It's a pretty good size dining area so I never usually have to wait to be sat although It can get very busy. Definitely a Rochester staple!

Definitely recommend! Food was DELICIOUS and FRESH! I was looking for a brunch spot while visiting on 02/10/2024 and after reading all the great reviews, I decided on Junes Restaurant.

Jines is located at the epicenter of Park Avenue, and has been in this location, pleasing diners for 55 years. There is a breakfast and lunch menu available most of the day, and dinner specials starting at 4:30. Craft cocktails, wine, and beer are also offered. The menu selections are huge, well prepared, and served by exceptionally friendly wait staff. Outdoor dining allows you to sit in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, adding to the pleasure of the experience.

We had a delightful experience dining on the street-side patio at Jines. I was particularly pleased with my wild mushroom and blue cheese omelette--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My wife and daughter enjoyed the Crab Benedict and the California Benedict, respectively, and my son loved the Orange Marmalade Stuffed French Toast. All of us were thoroughly impressed with our meals. The combination of excellent food and the charming outdoor seating made for a memorable dining experience.

Delicious dinner this past Wednesday! Ambiance was wonderful. We did opt for an early dinner. This may have contributed to the more relaxing feel. Alexis D. was friendly and attentive. To add, I also love that they validate parking in the paid lot. That's definitely going above and beyond to keep your customers happy!

This is a very nice place to come and eat outside on the deck overlooking the Erie Canal. Had a great atmosphere. There was some live music playing in the common area along the canal, which I got to listen to. The view was nice. Staff was quick and friendly. The food was pretty good. I thought the hummus was very good. The falafel was just OK. But the Mediterranean salad was delicious. They're dressing was excellent. Could've used a few more olives other than that no complaints. I didn't get any of the dessert, but it looked awesome. Maybe next time. I strongly recommend coming here if your looking for some outdoor seating on a nice summer day.

I have mixed feelings about Aladdin's Natural Eatery in Schoen Place (Pittsford)…read more Pros: Vegan options exist. Outside seating by the canal is nice when the weather cooperates. Our server was reasonably friendly and efficient. Cons: They make it difficult to wait for a table. Pita bread is low quality. Chili was disappointing. They were out of falafel when we last visited. The setting is the best thing going for this place. Our table was outside near the canal, the weather was warm, and sitting by the water was quite pleasant. The problem is that the restaurant doesn't make it easy to wait for a table. They won't serve you a drink while you wait, and they won't call or text you when your table opens up, so you can't slip next door to the bar for a drink without risking your spot. The vegan options are limited but real. The veggie combo plate lets you pick either three or four items from falafel, hummus, baba ganoush, tourlu, sautéed spinach, and tabulee, and there's also a falafel pita pocket. I've sampled all these items before, and they all taste good, but most of it isn't very filling. The falafel is the exception, which made it a problem that they were out of it the last time I visited. We didn't find out until well after we'd ordered. Four of us at a table of six had ordered items with falafel, so we had to scramble for replacements. It seems unusual for a Middle Eastern restaurant to run out of falafel. The pita bread is a real letdown. It comes from a commercial bakery, and it's so soft that it doesn't have the firmness to scoop up hummus or baba. It also just doesn't taste very good. A restaurant like this should really be baking its own. I ordered a bowl of chili along with my combo plate. The chili arrived a few minutes after the combo (I was hoping it would come out first), and it was disappointing. It was very liquidy without many kidney beans, the portion was small for a bowl, and the flavor was mediocre at best. Our server was friendly and attentive, though he didn't know whether the tahini sauce was vegan. It turned out not to matter, since the tahini was meant to accompany the falafel we never got. I left somewhat disappointed and still hungry.

Generally I would not eat at the Food Court but when I saw Pita Chik and their menu, I knew I had to try it. I was extremely thrilled that I did place my order and pleasantly surprised at how fresh and tasty my meal was. I order the California Salad with Falafal. and pita on the side. The lettuce was crisp and the ingredients all fresh and delicious...and plentiful! The falafal was as I remembered when I was in the Middle East many years ago and my years of ordering it in NYC where I worked. My friend ordered the Greek Gyro and it was packed fully with meat, tomatoes and onions. She left nothing on her plate. BTW, neither did I...my plate was totally cleaned of any salad, falafal and pita. The size was surprisingly large for the price. If you are at Eastview Mall and need some extra strength to continue shopping, you definetly need to stop by Pita Chik for a healthy, energy boosting meal. If you don't want to eat at the Mall, you can order takeout and bring it home. I am so happy that I decided to step up to the Pita Chik counter and happy to see a vegetarian menu for me and a menu that would accommodate my friend as well that likes meat. You won't be disappointed by the meal choices which are plentiful and the pricing surprisingly reasonable. Oh, one more thing, the gentleman that took our order was very sweet and patient with us since we were taking our time in figuring out what to order. One last thing, please leave a tip in the tip jar...all tips are donated. I will most definetly be returning! Just the thought of it is making my mouth water. Bon Appetit to all!

!!!!CASH OR CHECK ONLY (no joke and they have an ATM inside)!!…read more So we finally got to check this spot out in Pittsford on Schoen Place. I'll be honest, we completely missed it at first (our fault!), but it's actually across from Label 7 or Level 7 or whatever it's called. The restaurant offers both indoor seating and snd area for outdoor dining during warmer weather. It's a smaller space but has a nice, casual feel, with Greek-inspired photos and decor on the walls. They seem to do a steady mix of dine in and takeout. We arrived around 5:15 PM on a Saturday, and it quickly filled up. Service was good, though it appeared to be just the owner and one other person running tue front of house they were definitely hustling. The menu is fairly extensive, though I'm not sure how many vegetarian options are available. We started with the fried calamari, which came with lemon and a dipping sauce (possibly garlic). It was good, though not standout. For my entrée, I ordered a platter with gyro meat and chicken, served with rice, tzatziki, and salad. The flavors were solid, but the rice was unfortunately lukewarm. I asked for extra tzatziki, which came in handy because my husband's gyro sandwich didn't include any, something that surprised us. Thankfully, I had enough to share. He did enjoy his meal overall and said the fries (ordered on the side) were tasty, though $6 for a side of fries felt a bit steep. Whatever I also had a glass of Greek white wine, which I enjoyed. Their wine and beer selection is small but decent. Overall, the food was good and the atmosphere welcoming. Just a heads-up: it's cash only, and because of the limited space, it's probably a good idea to call ahead if you're going with a group. Parking is shared in the area. I'd come back.
