We've been coming here with one of my favorite friends since pre-pandemic times (and *cough* the outdoor fire pit was our lunch refuge). Over the years, I feel like the quality of the ramen has kept up with the times-especially at this particular location. After all, two things set the standard for Japanese ramen: The broth and the noodles. JINYA has the both nailed to a fiery science. And their noodles are worth making noise for. Yes, you are encouraged to SLUUURP away. My new all-time fave is their SPICY CREAMY VEGAN RAMEN. The vegetable broth was flavorful. It comes with tofu, onion, green onion, spinach, crispy onion, garlic chips, garlic oil, chili oil and sesame seeds & served with thick noodles. I customized it and traded the tofu for BROCCOLINI + ADDED A POACHED EGG for a nominal upcharge. 5/5 ***** My other go-to choices (depending on my mood): 1.) PREMIUM TONKATSU RED. It has a richer pork broth, pork chashu, kikurage, green onion, seasoned egg, nori dried seaweed, red hot chili oil and spicy bean sprouts & served with THICK noodles. 2.) SPICY CHICKEN RAMEN comes in a creamy, spicy chicken broth, chicken chashu, spinach, spicy bean sprouts and green onion & served with THIN noodles. Choose your spice level, MILD, SPICY or HOT. MILD, SPICY or HOT is numbered from 1 to 10. If you choose higher than level 6, an additional $1 will be added. Dial the heat up to 11, or anything above level 6 and you'll pay $1 extra. It's worth it for the fire-breathing firecrackers out there who love pairing heat with spice. Don't worry, their cold sakes, mocktails, and Japanese beers will help put out the flames. A few bad visits and then a C grade from Health Department have kept us away for a while now, but a recent A grade update, and a craving for Ramen made us give another shot. We've tried this chain before at the Topanga Social but since we were out this way for something else, we decided to grab a quick lunch! This location is much like "Ventura Blvd" if you know what I mean. PARKING. Street parking is awful but that's just how it is nowadays. There looks to be a parking structure nearby but unsure of costs. We found a spot along Riverside and just walked, quickly since it is only an hour max lol. We got there and first thing you notice is the beautiful patio seating! And actually, the only available seating. They don't offer indoor seating but the weather was perfect so it worked out. Beautiful setting and service is quick (they probably understand the parking situation lol!) We got some gyoza which their gyoza sauce only comes in SPICY which is odd. The Jinya bun is always a good little bite and I also got a 3pc of their Salmon Aburi Oshi Sushi which was just okay. Flavor was good but the rice itself was hard, not a good crispy/seared hard, just....hard? It was weird, idk. Still edible! We were here for the main item though which is new on their menu. Garlic Fried Rice! We added pork to it and they cook and mix the egg at the table for you. Super delicious and love that they give a generous amount of garlic cloves. I have never had Ramen before. Yes -I am in LA native ,and I know that seems crazy. This is a chain restaurant .The Studio City is purely walk-ins and takes no reservations. I don't go anywhere on a Friday night without a reservation. The one in Toluca Lake takes reservations. Cameron answered the phone. He was delightful and helpful, made it very simple to book a reservation. We finally arrived, parking was rough on a Friday night there due to the Bob's Big Boy car show that is every Friday so don't go on a Friday! Bottom line, the spicy chicken Ramen, and the chicken Ramen were very good. The outdoor patio has a nice ambience, and once again the same host who answered the phone, Cameron and all of the waiters had great customer service and were very delightful. Went for a friends birthday this past Sunday and the wait to receive our ramen order was pretty long. This location is beautiful and definitely popular since a lot of people after we were seated, but I was surprised at how slow service was. The food was okay. I ended up getting the Spicy Tonkatsu which was a little disappointing to be honest. My favorites were actually the fried chicken (karage) and the brussel sprouts tempura. Chicken was good and the tempura was surprisingly delicious. I just couldn't give this place the 4 or 5 stars because 1. the service and 2. it's a ramen place so I would expect the ramen to be phenomenal, not their appetizers. There's street parking. It was tough to find a spot but was able to manager to get one after driving around 3 times. Tried going to the back, across the street, the street Jinya was on, and a block away. Just keep that in mind when you go there since there is not a ton of ample parking. Recommend carpooling if possible. I hope they do get more helpers or somehow improve their wait times. Jinya Ramen Bar is by far my favorite ramen spot in Burbank and easily in my top three ramen places in LA. The broth always has amazing flavor, and the spice level is consistently on point, which I really appreciate. The ramen I order comes with perfectly cooked, crispy asparagus, and honestly--it's chef's kiss. On top of the food, the atmosphere makes this place even better. This location does not have indoor seating. There are heat lamps and there's a fire pit in the middle of the 'bar' seats. The day that O went was a little chilly and I wasn't prepared to sit outside, but a little sake helped! I always start with the spicy tuna crispy rice. It's delicious, but my only complaint is that one order comes with 3 pieces, which makes sharing with 2 people kind of annoying on who gets the last piece or awkwardly trying to split it in half. They have gluten free noodle options- rice noodles or kelp noodles. I've tried both and enjoyed them as alternatives. I love how all the toppings come on the side and you get to put them in. Some of them are big portions- ex. corn (i'll probably just order one and share). You can also get additional noodles if you need more (extra charge) but I love that option! I've noodled around other JINYA Ramen locations, (and I'm happy to report that the Burbank spot is just as consistently delicious as the others). But what really sets this one apart is the ambiance: all outdoor seating with a cozy, roaring fireplace in the center. I don't usually go out of my way to order vegan dishes at restaurants, especially when it comes to ramen, but JINYA's Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen is the best. The broth is as savory as any non-vegan option, and the big, thick noodles are so delicious. I also appreciate that you can request the spicy chili oil on the side--ideal for spice-shy folks like me. The vegan ramen is also great to take home for leftovers because it doesn't have that extra fat that can separate in the broth when refrigerated. That said, it was so good that there were actually no leftovers for me to take home, haha. But there's always something satisfying about seeing the "no ramen, no life" at the bottom of a JINYA bowl, like earning a badge of honor. My husband ordered the Tonkotsu Black, and I couldn't resist stealing spoonfuls of the pork broth as well--which I felt was just as good as mine. We also indulged in a few appetizers, which we devoured. Our go-to, crispy rice with spicy tuna, was yummy and the JINYA bun was great to split and get our appetite going as well. Both are small but perfect for wanting just a little something to get the meal going. I originally tried Jinya Ramen for the first time in a different location and remember it tasting better than this time around. We ordered the premium red and the black garlic oil ramen. My broth was supposed to be a tonkotsu broth but I couldn't take the richness of the pork in the broth. The broth just tasted diluted broth with garlic oil. The noodles were cooked perfectly but the chasu was dry since one of the pieces wetes so thick cut. The service was good and the ambiance was casual but can also be good for a date night out. Other dishes that we ordered were great also including Jinya bun, Salmon Aburi, and the eel. Our waitress was very kind, polite and attentive. Even though she had to move us to make space for a larger party, she was very apologetic and respectful. The ambiance is what I had envisioned for a ramen bar to look like. We couldn't sit outside as it was raining and the patio covers would not keep us dry. Overall good experience. A bit cramped inside but that's okay with us. At least it's cozy! read more

Careful), tonkatsu original with thick noodles, egg, spinach, tender pork slices, and seaweed (super recommend), and chicken ramen(thinner noodles).
