just came here w my cousin and we were taken care of so well. we had some of their new menu items on their signature & their premium all you can eat menu, and ts was so yummy. we loved the Black miso cod, and we loved their carpaccio plates; our favorite dish was the mackerel w goma. first date idea? yeah if she's a girl w an appetite and a good personality
We've been to other ayce sushi spots but no other place really tops Aikan so we visit pretty frequently now. We came in on a busy night to try out their new menu and everything came out so yummy. We just had to get their signature option because there were lots of items we were curious about and it was 1000% worth it for the price. I thought the carpaccio was going to be thin like before since 1 order is 3 pieces now, but the cuts are noticeably thicker. I also enjoy the new way they do handrolls in the holders. My boyfriend and I come here pretty often so we like to bring our friends here. The service continues to be top notch every single time. Liz and Kiet were very friendly and checked on us a lot, we had a great meal from beginning to end thanks to them. Usually the manager, Collin, also comes around to make sure that we're doing okay, but tonight he was working hard behind the sushi bar. I would suggest coming for the AYCE with at least three people, just because it's way more fun that way.
Drove up from OC to try Aikan and service, food and ambiance were absolutely amazing. We ordered from the premium menu and our favorites were the truffle yellowtail, uni nigiri, snow crab nigiri and black miso cod. Honestly, every item from the carpaccios, rolls and nigiri were so so tender and flavorful. My party came in around 7 on a Saturday and was seated in under 30 mins. The staff was incredibly kind and efficient. Big shoutout to Kiet, Hajime and Liz!!! Definitely will come back again!
Came here during dinner time and paid around $95 for two ayce regular dinner. Waited about 20 min upon arrival. They seemed pretty busy which gave me a good sign about the taste of their sushis. When we came to check in, there was about 3 people up front and not one person looked up to acknowledge us. Although they were in front of us, we had to wave them down to grab their attention. No "we'll be there shortly", or any gesture of assurance that they care. They give you an order sheet when you're seated and you freely mark off any item from each section. Food was pretty good, our favorites were the Salmon sashimi and Broiled mussels. I was happy with the flavor of sushi, although some of the rice felt hard rather than it melting in your mouth. Our main server was Liz, who we weren't very fond of. When she first came up to our table she never introduced herself as our waitress nor asked if we had any questions regarding the order sheet. She simply grabbed our sheet without acknowledging us, despite us mentioning to our host that it was our first time so we just wanted to make sure we were ordering correctly. This went on practically our whole dining experience, most of the server did NOT check in on us, leaving us to waiting for our missing items or our order sheet back since they hadn't returned it in a while. I took into consideration that it seemed like a busier night for them, but i'm noticing that the tables around us were consistently being taken care of and their servers actually spoke to them. To the point that i had to grab another waiter's attention to ask about some items we hadn't received. Toward the end, another server, Amy, was amazing. She came up to our table with a smile while serving the remaining of our order. Not long after, she checked in on us after and made sure everything was tasting right. Amy was the only staff member last night with a positive attitude and attentively checked on tables. Overall, I would consider visiting another location since I did like the food. It's not life changing sushi, but for sushi in the valley, i was pleased. It's perfect for group dinners, so i'd consider ayce sushi for hangouts. For what you get, i think the price is reasonable. Paid parking right in front or if you go into the parking structure lots nearby, you should be able to find free parking.
After the last time I came here, I will not be returning to this location specifically. Despite loving Aikan sushi , I got my business elsewhere or another location. There was a group of six adults one baby and one five year-old. We got regular all-you-can-eat for six adults and à la carte for the child. When the receipt came, they charged for the à la carte item and AYCE for a child. They changed that after I spoke to them. My issue with them was that we were about to leave however we still had food on the table and I was not done eating and had my babies food on the table and her utensils. I had told one of the servers there that we were not done yet. By the time I went to the bathroom and came back, our table was completely cleared, and my baby's food was thrown away and her utensils. Our stuff was left in the front. when I asked for what happened, nobody really cared, and even speaking to the manager didn't do anything. I will not be returning to this location. They need better training for their staff.
Went here on a weekend, and surprisingly the wait was only about 20 minutes. Compared to Aikan Pasadena, where the wait is always long, this was a nice change. I was excited to come here after watching the Spiderman movie. When we got seated and the waiter was already ready to take our order but we hadn't even looked at the menu yet, and they didn't give us the paper to write our order on when we were waiting so had to put our order and wait for another 10mins. They could've gave us the menu and part put on our while waiting. We ordered all the sashimi because we love sashimi. But honestly, the cuts felt like leftovers. Some pieces had that tough cartilage texture that never breaks down when you chew. It like never ending chewing. When we placed our second order, they definitely poured their signature sauce on top, and it was hella spicy. First the sashimi cuts were annoying, and then the taste... it felt like they made it extra spicy on purpose so we wouldn't order the sashimi again. The rolls were actually good, but they all kind of tasted the same and mostly rice and spicy tuna. Rice it taste just regular rice not sushi rice. The appetizers were good too. I actually recommend trying all the appetizers. But overall, this feels like a place you try once and don't come back Honestly, I wouldn't recommend going here. Go to Aikan Pasadena instead; don't waste your money here. I'd rather wait an hour at Aikan Pasadena than come to this location again. This place made me not want to eat sushi anymore, and I love sushi.
Aikan is an outstanding all you can eat premium sushi experience. The service is very professional, the friendly servers are always attentive and helpful. The sushi is fresh and has awesome sashimi options, which are not too common for AYCE places. Two hour limit, I usually tap out around an hour and a half, you get plenty to eat here. The restaurant has tons of booths and offers sushi bar seating as well, ambiance is bright. Parking on the blvd (paid), or find one of the free parking garages. I love the salmon, yellow tail, salmon crunch roll and appetizer options here, you get your money's worth, give this place a try if you're craving some fresh sushi.

Great AYCE sushi spot with huge selection and especially great signature rolls - the Spider Roll is a must order. We came for Friday dinner and did the regular AYCE menu. Although there is technically a two hour limit, we were seated around 9pm and the kitchen closed at 10pm. Service was friendly, attentive, and quick despite how busy the restaurant was. Overall great value and worth coming earlier so you can take full advantage of the AYCE experience!
The carpaccio and sushi are very solid! For all you can eat, quality is amazing with great presentation. Service was also super friendly and quick.
This place is OK. If you like to gorge yourself with rolls, it's probably the best deal for that! I noticed the first order of the nigiri fish pieces were small in size but on the second round, the nigiri pieces were smaller, yet the rice was the same amount. Also, they should do better in terms of how many pieces come with an appetizer, for instance, if you get the baked muscles, it comes three to an order but doesn't tell you that on the order sheet, fried oysters are two to an order but doesn't note that either! The fried oysters were really good. All in all, the food is okay, the sushi rice needs big improvement and sort of sloppily made. They have a big overhead there and you will be paying dearly for your food and drink. There are better AYCE's out there for cheaper. Lastly, the servers were mostly nice and the place is huge and clean....
Colin runs the BEST Aikan location! Treats everyone well. Servers are all excellent. Food quality is always on point. Love that they play sports games on the tv. I'll be here to watch the LA Kings!
I went to Aikan for diner tonight and the experience was very good. I have been wanting to check out this space for some time now. However, a few prior 1 star reviews have been keeping me away. I finally decided to try it and be my own judge. Service: Let's start with the service since that has been the main points of some previous negative comments. Let's keep in mind, this is an AYCE sushi place, not a fine dining restaurant. For a AYCE place, I thought the service was adequate. The host and the serving staff are not rude as some previous comments state! They are just busy, efficient, and generally friendly as this place requires. My server did not check in with me even once after taking my order, but every time I flagged him down for something, he would bring what I needed very quickly. They are definitely on the low end of the warm and fuzzy spectrum, but again for a AYCE place, this is adequate. Food: Now on to the food, I got the premium menu since I wanted to try some of the premium items. The food was of good quality. Fish freshness was 4 out of 5 stars fresh (5 being fresh off the ocean). The taste was generally good. The taste is not as impressive as your average Omakase or fine dining Japanese restaurant, but much better than any average sushi go around places or buffet restaurants with sushi on the menu. The bluefin toro was the highlight, it literally melted in my mouth as it should have. Many more expensive Japanese restaurants I visited couldn't even get this right. Ambiance: the place was clean and modern to my standard. Again, not at a five star hotel restaurant level, but very solid for a trendy and modern restaurant. All in all, this was a good experience. I would definitely recommend the premium menu since it offers many higher quality options.

Reworked menu! Food tastes fresher and the service is always exceptional. Two items that stood out were the miso black cod and uni cream udon. Refreshing flavors of miso from the cod were delightful with a small hint of zest from the lemon. I highly recommend the uni cream udon, the noodles and sauce were perfectly matched and balanced with rich flavors of umami and cream. read more

My friend and I come to this location nearly once a month and it is our favorite place to come! All of the staff are always so nice and friendly! The sushi is always fresh and so flavorful! We also happen to visit right as they launched their new menu with some many amazing options! 10/10 recommend! read more
We came here for lunch for AYCE sushi. There is a good variety of things to eat~ especially on the appetizer menu. We came around noon and were instantly seated. Whenever we ordered, food came out pretty quickly so we always had food for our table. Service was great and everyone was very attentive and kind. Food wise~ I guess it's what you'd expect from AYCE? lol! The quality is what it is, not the best but not the worst. I'd honestly give the sushi quality a 3, the appetizers a 4, and service a 5. Parking is plentiful! You can do paid street parking out front or do one of the many free lots off the street. read more

Got the Signature and it was worth the few extra $! Uni was good, oysters were fresh, and the uni udon which I forgot to take a picture of was yummm. I personally can't eat a lot but I still feel like I got my money's worth just from being able to try a variety of food. The restaurant was clean and the servers were kind. Would definitely come back for another lunch w my coworkers!!! read more

AYCE was good! Lots of options to pick from -- rolls, nigiri, apps, ramen and more. We did the regular AYCE since we were heading back to The Valley after eating, and we left very full and satisfied. Side note for families: no big strollers inside. They'll ask you to leave it in the waiting area if your car seat/stroller is too large. read more

i just moved to burbank and needed sushi to refill mid unpacking. i walked here and this is exactly what i needed. Daya was attentive and so kind. someone else suggested the yuzu high ball and chefs kiss. definitely coming back! read more

The food presentation was excellent, and the waiters and waitresses were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. We had the Prime, and you could really taste the quality and freshness of the fish. Having experienced sushi in Japan, I'd say this was about 70% as good--which is a huge compliment. Excellent quality, beautiful presentation, and great service. One of the best sushi experiences I've had in Los Angeles. Highly recommended! read more

Went Sunday with the family, did the regular AYCE. Sashimi was actually good fresh, clean, no fishy taste. Fried octopus legs were crispy outside, tender inside, easy repeat order. Rolls were decent overall, pretty standard AYCE. Only miss was the eel rolls... they came out kinda burnt for some reason, gave it a bitter taste which was disappointing. Service was quick, food kept coming, no long waits even though it was busy. Overall: good value, family-friendly, I'd come back just skipping the eel rolls next time. read more

We've been to the location in Grenada Hills multiple times and it's great so we decided to try this one out since we were in the area. The sushi, rolls, sashimi and drinks were all amazing. They were all fresh and tasty. The place was nice and clean. The service was great, usually they stop coming by after a while but here they were on top of everything. We got the all you can eat and price wise it was great. Some of the sushi rolls are spicy so be careful. Overall it was awesome and well definitely stop by when in Burbank. read more

Been here before they changed the menu. It has improved so much. We tried the carpaccio and it was delicious. The service was really amazing and they were very attentive to us. I recommend coming here and we will be returning. read more
It maybe my favorite AYCE sushi place in the valley. I've tried some other restaurants but this one still takes the cake. There's a few other location throughout the area that I've been too. Northridge is smaller but has a good parking lot. Pasadena is nice but parking is street parking. I'm not sure if there's a lot for that as we alway parked along the street. And we always utilize the sushi bar counter there. And then there's Burbank, street parking if available but there's a few parking structure all nearby. This location is bigger which is a plus. There's two option with AYCE. Premium and regular. I've done both but we just normally stick to regular. Same options except for a few other specialties items. You have a sheet with everything that you just mark off. Literally so much things to choose from. The starters, rolls, sashimi, nigiri's, ramen and so on. Of course, you don't want to get full with starters. Oh, the whole table has to do AYCE. It's a definite on the steamed mussels. The way it's prepared, it's delicious. I would get the sausages every now and then. Simple but tasty and served with ketchup. Shishitos peppers are tasty and an easy eat. Stuffed poppers were good but didn't want to fill up on starters. Mains or sushi is what we came for. All nigiri are per piece when ordering. The fish are all fresh and decent size. Some places it's a sliver of fish on top a massive slab of rice. Portion ratio was great. Literally every sushi piece was excellent. There's a reason why they give you rounds to orders as everything comes out pretty fast...lol.... Trying to consume each dish before the other arrives was a laugh... Plus everything was fresh and made to order. I alway get the salmon collar as yellowtail tends to alway be limited. Which this visit, they had one available. Both are great and a good potion of meat with the ponzu sauce. Besides the sushi, there's the kind that's has no rice. It's a must try. I never order rolls as I rather have nigiri. Everything was delicious and flavorful. For the price it's well worth it. Both premium or regular, you can't go wrong. Unbelievable value and exceptional variety. The ramen was rich and delicious. All of our sharables were gone the moment they hit the table. Love the vibes at this place. It's a chilly February evening so my daughter felt like Ramen. Sounds good to me. We both ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen, I wanted mine "Spicy". Our server asked me to choose a number between 1-10 in spicyness....I chose a "3." I kinda regretted that it wasn't higher as soon as he walked off. The Ramen + appetizer was only $5 more, so we ordered our appetizers, a dish of edamame and the Baked Mussels. Dear Lord. Our Ramens came and my Spicy Ramen "3" felt like a 5/6! Imagine if I ordered a 5. I got use to it, but it was spicier than I expected. Though it was darn good!!! Therapeutic, actually. My daughter ordered the Strawberry Macaroon and I had the green tea ice cream. Both were delicious! The macaroon was Ah-Mazing! Aikan continues to impress. The food quality is consistently fresh and high-end--especially the fish, which is always pristine and flavorful. Every item we've tried from the no-rice series and the sashimi series has been excellent, with clean, vibrant flavors that really let the freshness of the fish shine. The kama is a must-order appetizer: perfectly grilled, tender and rich, paired with a tangy sauce that balances everything beautifully. Yes, you could also order ala cart. There's also happy hour for drinks. Idk the specific times though. Hope this helps :)

Yes they still offer AYCE for lunch and dinner. Not sure the lunch price but there's two prices for dinner, one regular and the other is premium, which I believe is about $49. However their price changes so best to call and confirm.
Does this location have their alcohol license yet?
Does this location have a veggie ramen option like the one in Pasadena? It says they have the same menu online but I don't see a veggie ramen on the online menu?
How is the parking?
There’s a big garage just around the corner, super easy to get in and out. You’ll have no issues.
How does happy hour work when the set price is noted?
Happy hour has a menu that includes a few drinks and one piece sushi options. It not on the all you can eat or on rolls.
