Make it make sense. You order a large salad and get a tiny container of salad dressing. You ask for extra dressing and they say it's going to be an additional charge. How much? $6! Not unless I'm getting a bottle of dressing. Get it together Niko, it's literally garlic ponzu- not liquid gold.

We've seriously been sleeping on this place. We've been coming here more and more lately, and it honestly hasn't disappointed once. The sushi is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made, and the overall experience keeps us coming back. Definitely becoming one of our go-to spots.

This place is pretty small but they fit a decent amount of people inside. They have regular table seating or sushi bar seating. They have soooo many options of rolls, maybe about 50 different types. Although it was busy in there, the service was pretty quick for drinks and food. The nigiri pieces we ordered are very fresh and melt in your mouth. The sushi rolls and the bento box were very good. It was in a strip mall so I was skeptical but noticed that those are the best sushi restaurants.

Many years of coming here, I still choose this place as a local sushi spot. Their poke salad is so simple but out of this world delicious! Especially with a squeeze of lemon and extra dressing. My go to rolls are the tataki roll, the Natalie roll which is packed with fish and chunks of avocado on top and of course anything with fresh scallops! Service is always quick and super friendly. Place is a bit on the cozy side but good thing is they accept yelp waitlists which is a win.

I went to this Japanese restaurant during weekend lunch. It is located inside a little plaza so there is decent parking available. There was a little wait since there are some people who come to dine or order food to go. It is not a large restaurant, it is a bit intimate with a bar seating so you can see the chef make the sushi rolls. I recommend this place because they offer quality sushi and bentos. They have a diverse menu with no rice options as well. Prices are reasonable and the quantity of food you get with the bento was worth it! I like their combination of having tuna sushi, bulgogi, salad, rice, and miso soup. The whole dining in was made more enjoyable with the staff's friendly customer service. Definitely will come back again.

The food, service, and overall ambiance were great. We arrived at 9:23pm and were the only customers in the restaurant so the food came quickly. Sushi was very fresh! Definitely going back

I don't know how this place got out of my rotation. I used to come here allll the time. Their poke bowl is my favorite item on their menu. It's so simple but that dressing they pour on it, is so delicious. I can sip it haha You can't miss when it comes to the rolls and it's so hard to choose. But I feel they have a roll for just about anyone. It is a very small spot but it makes it feel intimate and there can be a wait time. If I counted correctly there's enough seating for like 30 people and that's including the bar. Also, the service is great here and they are pretty quick as well. I like that the waiters don't go around acting like one specific table is theirs, they constantly are checking up on everyone.

This place is my absolute favorite for Sushi. It's a small place with a few tables and you can dine by the bar where the sushi chefs are at but it's worth the wait, Trust me on that. I always like to start with their Edamame and their half Poki Salad, it's delicious their dressing is by far the best I've had on a salad does contain peanuts so just be aware of that. Their Alaska roll is also a great choice the salmon is cooked and I love it that way, a nice crunch and very flavorful. Their service here is fast and attentive food comes out pretty fast they have a few sushi chefs due to that. They have a bunch of cool names for their signature rolls all over the wall so you can try new stuff. Love the decor it's simple yet unique for sushi. If you are ever in the Burbank area def give this place a go!

"The Johnson" roll and Poki Salad

I tried this spot for the first time the other day- it was AWESOME! So many people recommended it that I had to go in. Wait was not bad, servers were quick and kind. I sat at the bar. The server recommended two popular items to me and they SERVED!! The Poki Salad was flavorful and fresh and The Johnson roll was creamy and delightful! Not too spicy. I could have shared these two items with a second person, but I ate it all!!! No regrets! I even came back later with my bf to make him try. He loved it too! We tried the Alaskan Roll (not pictured), which again tasted SO fresh and flavorful and the gyoza. I liked the crunch of their gyoza! We then ordered The Johnson with shrimp tempura (bf wanted tempura) and it was great. 10/10 would recommend!

This restaurant is located just outside the downtown area of Burbank within a small strip mall. The restaurant does have a small parking lot for customers. The restaurant is quite small with a sushi bar and table seating. Not the best place to go with large groups. The restaurant does feature an extensive list of rolls as you can see within the picture menu. Plus, they have a menu of specials featured on the walls. And you can always get just fish (sashimi). The rolls were good, but I prefer rolls without chopped fish or intimation crab. I like my fish whole, but most of the items on the menu featured chopped tuna or crab. The restaurant prices are good for sushi, and especially for this area.

    Tempura Green Tea Ice Cream

Another amazing experience at Niko Niko. Had our usual garlic albacore roll with poki salad. Wife wanted to try the garlic edamame and it was a hit! Our daughter had the California roll and a cucumber hand roll. We ended our meal with a tempura green tea ice cream and it was the perfect ending to a great meal. Service was great as usual!

    Ultimate Albacore
    Caitlin M.

This is a popular local sushi spot. The price is fairly reasonable too. I've tried a few rolls from here, all good, but nothing beats the ultimate albacore for me. I am obsessed with the little onion crisps and garlic ponzu it comes with. Every time I order a roll to-go here I'm tempted to just stay because of the bubbly atmosphere. This place is always buzzing at night, whether people are locked into a game or catching up with friends over sushi and sake. The chefs working at the center of the main table also have great energy. Make sure to end your night here with their green tea ice cream, it's the perfect sharing size.

We were craving sushi (as always) and wanted to try somewhere new. After researching multiple contenders, we settled on Niko Niko and I'm so glad we did. We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and got seated right away. Service was friendly and fast. The wait staff was very attentive and kind. The vibe was nice but casual. They had the dodgers game playing which added a fun sporty element to the restaurant. The food was amazing! My personal fave was the rainbow roll. Apart from their printed menu, they also have tons of other roll options on their wall! We decided to order the golden state from the wall menu and it was awesome! Just a little more spicy than I can handle lol! So be sure to ask your waiter if a roll is spicy before ordering if you're like me. We will be returning!

In a time where just about everything has gotten so expensive, isn't it time we change our habits to support local businesses that are doing incredible work? They're sandwiches are top-notch, their meats are divine, and they use fresh and great tasting produce. The draw back is this place is very crowed during peak times and it a little too small considering the amount of customers that come. I've driven past Papa's Meat and Seafood on Glenoaks Blvd a dozen times, on our many trips to the area. We alway promising that we would stop in, and I'd finally stop in. Honestly, my only regret is waiting this long. I ordered the Luka Sandwich, which is loaded with their 14-hour smoked pastrami brisket, cheddar, pickled cherry peppers, iceberg, and Papa's aioli on toasted sourdough. The pastrami itself is a work of art--smoky, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and seasoned perfectly without being a total salt bomb. The pickled cherry peppers give it this incredible, bright pop of heat that cuts right through the richness of the beef. It's a messy, beautiful monster of a sandwich.  My wife went with the Surf 'n' Turf Bowl, which comes with their marinated "Crack Shrimp" and grilled angus beef over rice with a fresh shirazi salad. The beef was incredibly tender, but those crack shrimp stole the show--snappy, heavily seasoned, and completely addictive. You can clearly taste the quality of a high-end butcher shop in a casual, quick-service lunch.  The only reason I'm knocking off one star is the wait time and the seating is also pretty limited, so it's much better suited for a grab-and-go situation than a sit-down date night. That being said, the quality of the meat here blows standard sandwich joints completely out of the water. If you're in Burbank and want a lunch that actually feels high-quality and satisfying, do yourself a favor and drop in. I'm already eyeing the A5 Wagyu Cheesesteak for my next visit!

It's hard to pick a favorite when they're all this good! To balance out all the fresh seafood, we also ordered the fried onion rings and fried zucchini. It's basically two shish-kebab style sticks of seasoned swordfish, peppers, and tomatoes, and it's served with a few sides in addition to fried veggies and shrimp. I also really enjoy their tacos. They also have very generous servings of poke (I personally don't get the poke from here because it's already mixed in with raw onions and I don't like raw onion). Prices are all very reasonable--the swordfish plate I mentioned earlier is around $15 and a pretty large amount of food. Fish King does get pretty busy especially around mealtimes so it's better to order in advance and pick up so that you don't have to wait around as long. I think if you order in person, you can expect a 20-30 min wait when it's busy. There's a small lot on the side of the market and sometimes you can find street parking too.
