Jinya Ramen Bar has a beautiful atmosphere. It has space for large groups but also cozy for date. The food was Amazing! I had Spicy Chicken Ramen with a few add-ins and a side salad. The salad was fresh with ginger dressing and the ramen was hot. My server was great... he stopped by check on me and was friendly. Not a bad place to eat. The service is good, and the food is tasty. I do wish that there were more appetizer/small plate options. It's nice to have something to eat in addition to ramen. I ordered the spicy tonkotsu mild, and it wasn't spicy at all. I would have been better off ordering the regular tonkotsu since it already comes with an egg and would have tasted the same. The only other slightly off thing was the fact our group of two was seated at a large table with about twelve seats. There was already a party of five at the other end of the table, and another couple was sat across from us halfway through our visit. Like many Jinya locations, the atmosphere is superb, you're immediately greeted by a friendly "arigato!" followed soon by a bellowing "IRASSHAI!" from the kitchen. The low-light glow of the decor makes it great for an evening person like myself to unwind and smell the amazing banquet of fresh foods being prepared, while the wait staff is expedient, attentive, and knowledgible. Even when one drink was lagging behind, they immediately took charge to go check on it and get it without being asked. The food is marvelous. It's quite possibly the only Ramen chain that me and my fellows frequent. I always go for a Tonkotsu Black, the intensely savory pork broth combined with melt-in-your-mouth cuts of meat, seasoned softboiled egg, perfectly firm noodles, and chewy kikurage make you feel like a new human being once you're done with it. If I knew the ramen was going to come out first, I probably wouldn't have order the appetizers. Other than that, good service and food were good. Kids menu came with a small bowl of chicken ramen, 2 pieces of chicken karaage, rice with some ground meat, fries and a slice of orange, all for $13. Not a bad deal, but if they did away with maybe the rice and meat and charged a little less that probably would have been a better deal. Just in my opinion. But overall, when I'm craving ramen and don't feel like driving far, I would usually come here as cypress doesn't offer a variety of different ramen restaurants. My son asked me about ramen and I needed to stay close by so we decided to go to Jinya for late lunch. We started with edamame (standard, no big deal but fresh) and then went for the Spicy Chicken Ramen and the Jinya Tonkatsu Black. Presentation in the bowl is very appealing and I like the fact you can order additional toppings (we went for garlic and green onion) to supplement the bowl. Tonkatsu has pork and while the serving wasn't very big, the flavor was outstanding. I sit here four days later still craving it. Everything about this bowl was amazing. Good temperature, tender noodles, amazing broth and don't forget about the egg! Spicy Chicken is very good (and not over the top spicy) but we have the same issue with chicken portion being pretty small. My only issue with these two bowls was the price and the amount of protein included ($13.50 and $15 before toppings). Service was very attentive and friendly (don't like the yelling when you are sitting or leaving but whatever). This place is about a couple of things. Modern visual experience, great service and unforgettable flavor. Not bad for a chain ramen joint. read more

Why does something that looks so yummy have to be so mediocre If you want to go take pictures of you eating Ramen this is a place for you- PRETTY BOWLS! But if you want to eat actually eat good Ramen don't enter! The Ramen was flavorless, honestly I could've got a Ramen package and it would've taste the same. I got the spiciest one, but I didn't taste any spice and I had to ask for hot sauce. They have is good service, but don't like the seating arrangement how everyone sits in one huge table. So I recently had surgery and cannot eat a whole lot of food, or if I do eat I need to drink just a ton of water. Got the chicken ramen and some pot stickers. They have a name but I'm lazy right now and won't Google it. The food is delicious. Service is amazing. My guy kept my ice less waters coming and I had zero issues. Staff welcomes and says goodbye to everyone. Questions about the menu? They answer them quickly. Just overall a great experience. My only dislike of this place is the location. Barker Cypress/290 is a Charlie foxtrot. It's always a mess. Can't turn in or out easily. One of my least liked areas of cypress and this delicious place is here. Ugh. Not impressed. At all... Went here for an "anime club" meetup of sorts for one my kids' homeschool groups and it was chaotic and very displeasing, to say the least. First - the place was packed! Our meetup was during lunch rush, so definitely something to consider (I didn't plan the event, so was not aware of any time constraints) when planning a trip for any large group. Further, the staff seemed upset that we were there and came across bothered by the children. Second - the waitress "assisting" our group seemed disinterested altogether. Her attitude stunk and her rude remarks made the experience all the worse. We ended up ordering from the bar and while the bartender was pleasant, the order took forever! Some of the food never came and the food that did, was subpar in quality - at best. I ordered the kids meals for my boys (they were plentiful), however not one of my ramen-loving children liked the food. It was overcooked and tasted horrible - even to my own standards. It was as if the food were rushed and as a result - not cooked properly. For myself, I ordered a salad with a side of chicken and some gyoza. The gyoza weren't hot - room temperature is pushing it - and the salad was interesting. The chicken came out quite cold. Nonetheless, definitely not a good first impression. I'd been meaning to try this place for some time (we have one in Spring), however, if this is any indication of future experiences... I'll most definitely pass. read more

She brought the energy despite how she might've felt in that moment late at night MANAGING multiple tables and staff. My daughter and her fiancé came here for dinner. They have never been before. They both said the pho was really good and hit the spot. Due to COVID-19 Jinya has a modified menu. At this time they are not offering a create your own pho bowl and a few more items. So you might check before you go. It was a little pricey for pho. The Cypress area does not have many pho restaurants so the higher price is to be expected. They said the atmosphere was great; the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The location is a little tricky to get out of. (Barker Cypress Rd. is always so busy) They both said they want to come back again soon. Hopefully it's has the full menu available. read more

Midnight Cowboy: There is plenty enough for two people to split. The brisket was very flavorful thanks to the beef broth. The noodles were a tad thicker compared to the Spicy Chicken Ramen. Spicy Chicken Ramen: I chose this because of all of the positive reviews on here. I added a seasoned egg to mine, which I definitely recommend, and it was my favorite part of the dish. I prefer the chicken broth over the beef because it was a lot more flavorful. Also, I have acid reflux so I chose the mild spice level. It was perfect. No spice whatsoever. Also we ordered a Moscow Mule. Make sure to ask what vodka they are using to make it. At this location they use McCormicks, but for a $1 more we upgraded it to Tito's. read more
