I am rarely disappointed whenever I visit Jinya. I stepped out of my comfort zone yesterday and decided to try out some new menu options! Everything was timely and extremely fresh! I absolutely love the Pork Gyoza's!!! I promise I can probably eat 30 of them and never get tired! I tried the Spicy Tuna and Salmon Cones and those are really tasty as well! Very light appetizer and it has a subtle flavor. Last but certainly not least was the star of the show, which was the Shrimp Wonton Ramen. Super fresh I got it pretty quick and it was jampacked with flavor!! This might be my new favorite Ramen (for now at least). Excited to come back and try some more! read more

Here's the thing, Jin ya has good food. If you know how to order your ramen, then you can get a pretty good bowl. BUT what I will say is this, for the amount you get & ESPECIALLY the amount of chicken they put in the bowl , it is completely overpriced! You can hit up another ramen spot & pay almost half of what you'll pay at Jin ya. Ive gotten the spicy chicken ramen & though it was good , we paid nearly $70 for 3 orders of those. & what can I say , surely wasn't worth $70. I really feel prices are more for the name (I'm eating at Jin ya) rather then the food. read more

I have been to many of the Jinya Ramen places from Katy up to spring Stuebner road ( which is also my favorite). Each of the places have been different experiences and different qualities of food. I always get the Wonton Chicken Ramen and Takoyaki. Yes boring, but it is something I enjoy. We had Minh for a server, he was very good. The broth is the reason I come here, you cannot beat the flavors in your mouth. The noodles are a second and then finally the wontons. Generally, among all of the Jinyas, they have a consistent flavor. In this one though, the Takoyaki sat pretty deep in the mayo. The soup tasted fine, but the presentation was not there. It did not have the organized look that a ramen should have. And lastly, the wontons were packed with filling, but too firm on the bite in my opinion. Which could be the issue, but The flavor was still there. These are just little inconsistencies that I noticed when compared to other locations. I do not know how long this one has been there, but it was my 1st time here. It is not close to where I live, it was a fluke that I went to this one, but I would try it this location again if I happen to be in the area. read more

I've been to another JINYA location (which was amazing by the way) and this one did not disappoint! Everyone there seemed genuinely happy to be there and happy to help. Waitresses and hostess were super friendly and accommodating from the time that I came in until the time that I left. Everything was clean and covid protocols were tactfully and respectfully enforced. And as I expected (due to previous JINYA experience) the food was was amazing! Definitely one of me and my children's place is to go when we can't think of anywhere else! The food is always great, service is always very good, and it has low lighting and an easy feel for great ambiance. You cannot go wrong with any type of ramen and I love how you can add extra vegetables. One of my favorites is creamy vegan and I'm not even vegan. Lol! I've been to a different jinya a few times years ago and it really felt hyped back then and I just went with friends or coworkers, because it was really the only place we could get most of us to agree on just, because it was aesthetically pleasing and good for Instagram. Years later I've grown and I've realized appearances aren't everything and in the end if you are going to spend money it better taste as good as you paid for it. Which is a lesson that took me years to learn. It was very clean my husband and I came by for a quick lunch during his break and he has been asking to come here for a hot minute. I've never been to this location before and decided "why the heck not?." Well the staff here is very friendly and our server was quick to bring menus and drinks. My husband and I are the type to look at menus online before hand and photos to get an idea on what we'd like to try so it was pretty quick to order. I order the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and I ordered it hot which is supposed to be the highest spice level they have and was severely underwhelmed. First there was maybe a hint of spice. The broth itself wasn't that great either. It lacked flavor that I was looking forward too. For me broth is the base of the dish. Toppings are really just to add a bit of flavor and texture to the meal, but only meant to accentuate the broths rich flavor. I will say the noodles were perfect nice and chewy and not over cooked and bloated like I've encountered before at other places so I was very happy about that. I think the crispy chicken was the best thing I tasted today. I honestly think that if you'd like a cute little date spot and you care about aesthetics this is the place to be. The food is alright and the service is very friendly. Kind of clubby vibe to this spot. This a a chain restaurant so I can't go to ham on it. It's not bad. Just not ideal if you want good ramen. We regularly dine here. Wife had 3 leechee martinis. They charged us for 4 on check. Waitress agreed and went to talk to manager. After half an hour apparently after reviewing video footage they did not take off 4th drink. Also charged extra for premium liquor which has never happened before. Was told that would come off too. After a long period of time. I just paid the tab because it was just ridiculous at this point. Needless to say we will never return to this establishment due to horrible management. We have ordered dinner for delivery from this JINYA location several times, and it always arrives steaming hot and delicious! Everything here seems to be very fresh and flavorful, but be careful how spicy you make your ramen because they are not kidding around with the heat! The miso broth is my favorite in the Flying Vegan Harvest ramen, but I like to get it without the impossible meat. My husband likes the spicy chicken ramen, but usually gets it mild, and says it is still pretty spicy. Had a great dinner. The food was fresh, and my egg was cooked just right. I added the spicy sauce to my ramen and it was just right. 1 thing that could use improvement is the evening glare coming in. Been wanting to try JINYA, so this stop to Houston was a must. The place is so cute, nicely decorated. It was a bit hot in the building when we came in. Was hoping it would be cooler than it was. But granted, it was nearly 97 degrees outside. The service was attentive and food came out fast. 1) For appetizers, we tried the JINYA bun and the crispy chicken. The bun was a signature item per recommendation. The pork was marinated just right. Downside for me, it was way too fatty, barely any meat. The crispy chicken was the bomb. Pair it with the dipping sauce (labeled seasoning sauce on the tray at the table) and you won't regret! The chicken was thigh meat so it was so juicy. 2) JINYA tontoksu black - broth was very smooth and thick. Not like your typical broth! 3) Chef's special chicken karaage ramen - the waiter told us that they change the chef's special every three months, so it was a must try for me since I love fried chicken. This was no regret! So delicious. Right amount of broth and noodles to make you full! You can add on anything for an upcharge but ours were great in flavor and portion. read more

We have been here on a Wednesday, 12/18/2019 for dinner. We haven't had a reservation (not even sure if they take reservations) and luckily there was no waiting time. We initially sat in a high table but then luckily could be moved to a booth. I had the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen and added an egg. It was very good. I had the house Cabernet Sauvignon which was OK. The service actually was very good and helpful. We never had the feeling we were left out or no one keeps attention to us. There is a private parking lot and it is also possible to be seated outside (around a fireplace). Sorry for not attaching any photos but the photos I took all ended up to be very blurry lol.
