The people who work here are super nice. We stopped in so my son could use the potty. Since it was occupied, one of the workers took us next door and asked if he could use their restroom. Mehhhhhh! Saw the Yelp reviews while searching for a local coffee shop on a recent trip to Oceanside and took a chance. Love to support the local businesses when we can. Super disappointing! The coffee was "okay", but the service was completely lack-luster and the vibe...well, there wasn't one! Dusty, cob-webby and totally blah. The employees (who I assume are the owners) were a little too laid back. Mentioned we had never been there before and didn't know what to order and got absolutely zero feedback from the lady taking our order. $9.50 for two pumpkin spice lattes that had completely different consistency and texture. Love the feel of this place. First time in and I live so close by. First glance might seem like a lot happening but once you really take in the home feel of this loving set up. Coffee is strong, just the way I like it and the staff/ownership is awesome and on top of it. Definitely a spot to make a ritual in the morning, sit down and read, homework, or take in life haha. I am hesitant to write this because this is kind of a favorite spot and I don't want it over-run with too many bodies but I LOVE jitters so here is my ode to the coffee mecca of north county. If you like starbucks or any other overly sweetened, American type coffee please go there and not here, this is legit coffee. If you have your drink made by Clayton you are lucky bc I consider him an artist with coffee drinks. In case some are confused, they only serve the brunch menu on Saturday and Sunday mornings until around 11:30ish. There are bagels and pastries available every day and they are hand made deliciousness. If you can get there for your breakfast, you won't be disappointed, I consider this the best Mexican influenced brunch food in north county. The huevos rancheros and the breakfast burrito are favorites but the breakfast sandwich on a croissant is delicious as well. The vibe is very relaxed here and you can sit down next to a stranger and leave having made a new friend or at least had a few laughs. It's cozy and a great place to read or work on your laptop as it's usually pretty low key, even when busy. Never very loud or chaotic, just the right amount of activity and a real community vibe. read more

This is not just a coffee shop! The owners have been based in Oceanside and have/are involved with the city council to better this community. Valley is such a lovely lady! Expect real people! No over the top "Hi", "Oh ma gaaad" (think valley girl accent) personality's. Real people people is what we want and that's what you get! :)) If you buy at this coffee shop, know that you are helping the Oceanside community at large! Came here with my girlfriend and we got an iced coffee and an iced mocha. The iced coffee was good but what made it great is the ice cubes were made of coffee. The mocha was the best I've ever had. Great place I will definitely be back again. read more

This place is wonderful. I love the cozy nooks for curling up and reading, and while I was there they were playing great classic rock. Usually I get an iced coffee when its my first time to a coffee shop. The coffee was good, and I absolutely love that they use coffee ice cubes, because I always drink too slowly and they melt and the coffee gets all watery and gross, but not here! :D There was only one guy working but he got our drinks quickly and later on, even asked how we liked them. The place seemed super slow, which is probably why they closed at 3, I think it may be the location. But the store itself is beautifully decorated, with mosaics, brightly-coloured walls, and local artist's work. I really, really hope this place stays around, its definitely a local gem. read more

I would like to give a three and a half but I can't figure out how to do it. It's a nice atmosphere to go in here and the people were pretty okay but honestly speaking the coffee wasn't that great...a bit bitter, and I really hate styrofoam cups. I think people who use them don't really honor coffee as it should be and it's taste, so that really was a big No-No for me when they put my coffee in a styrofoam cup. read more

What a little coffee shop/ espresso bar should be. Reminds me of days gone by when no one had heard of a grande, but many of us would hunt for an excellent latte or cappuccino in a laid back atmosphere. Friendly staff. Stay as long as you like. I had been meaning to try Jitters forever since I live a block away and I'm pretty torn on how I feel. It was my first time in and the menu is pretty basic "latte, mocha, ect". I had no idea what I wanted as I as basically there to use their Wifi and grab a quick drink. I asked the cashier "What's good here! I've never been". She had no idea what to say. She stumbled over her words for about three minutes and basically just repeated the menu to me and then asked "well what flavor are you in the mood for?" I said "Well what do you have?" Seems like a simple request. I can't see the syrup bottles from where I'm standing so rattle off a few? No such luck. She gave me the blankest stare I've ever seen and when she went to stammer something else I just ordered a caramel machiato, something I didn't really want but knew my bf would like. I really just wanted to get away from her nervous energy. I ended up doing my wifi thing and finishing with no sign of my drink. I noticed about 8 patrons getting their orders after mine. My boyfriend went up to see what the issue was because we really needed to be leaving at that point. Finally we got up and waited by the door, they then told us that my order had been misplaced. Something about "it's really busy on Saturdays blahblahblah". We had actually come BEFORE the rush when there was one or two orders in before us. Anyway... We end up being there a total of 30 minutes before my drink was served. The barista was nice enough to offer me anything free from the case. I got an oat bar that was DELICIOUS! And the machiato was good too. I seem to have terrible luck when it comes to these sort of things so I can't really knock them that hard for an honest mistake- especially when they were nice enough to give me a free snack. Other than that the interior is a little cramped and it was HOT inside. I was sweating without even drinking my coffee and it was raining out. Kudos to the nice/personable barista, boo to the cashier. She was very flighty and I feel like you should at least have ONE suggestion of what's good from the place that you work at. read more

I love this place. Me and my fiance were checking out the metaphysical place down the way and we decided to try them out and had the oreo mocha, i think that's what it's called. But anyways, the service is awesome i dont know what the dude with the dreads' name is but he's cool so is the other guy with a buzz cut type haircut. We've only had the oreo mocha but every time it gets better. Their ambiance is really nice, it makes you feel at home and like another reviewer said, they don't make you feel like you have to get in and get out. They're really welcoming. read more

I love Jitters. I love it because the people who own it, are good folks -down to earth, kind, and friendly. I am enjoying a homemade with love lemon poppy seed scone this minute. As I type, the warm piquant smell of my freshly brewed coffee lovingly assaults my nose. The Jitters crew give back to the community. They showcase local artists, have their own non-profit organization and raise money for all kinds of causes. Plus they have some delicious fancy organic coffee they can tell you about. Such a great place!!! We stopped to pick up some coffee and breakfast on the way through Oceanside. The hot coffee is HOTTTT and delicious! Way better than the "big guys." The iced vanilla latte was life-changing-so much so that we had to order two more for the road before we left!! Our group had a bagel, lemon bars, the Super Sexy pancakes, breakfast burrito, and breakfast sandwiches... All were AMAZING!! Really big portions, such fresh flavor, terrific vegetarian meats (yes, you read that right). The staff is super nice, and just plain fantastic! 11 of 10 would recommend! read more

Hands down the best coffee shop in Oceanside. I am an avid coffee drinker and am super particular about my lattes and this place is the best! Lattes made to perfection!
