My dog and I love this place! We roll in here on our morning walks; he loves the water dish and occasional treats they spoil him with, I love the iced coffees (they use frozen coffee cubes!) and chai teas. They also have eclectic mixes of art, cute spoons for sale, and customers. The couches are fun, but my dog and I prefer to sit outside on the patio and watch the world go by. I highly suggest this place if you're in Oceanside! read more

Inside nice vibe. Barista was friendly. Our Lattes seemed bitter. It's prob type of coffee they use. "sexy pancakes" we're very good. However, they give you an ice cold plastic bottle of syrup to accompany. There was a patron with a dog (NOT A SERVICE ANIMAL) that was allowed to sit inside with its owners. I am not from Cali, but this is not sanitary. We are on vacation for a week. I will not return. banana dang had much better coffee on a side note. read more

Great coffee, great baked goods, great people. The caramel macchiato is as good as it gets. The pastries are always fresh and taste home made (straight from the oven in the back). There is only a limited food menu (more on weekends) but what they have is quality made with love. It's a very mellow place that invites you to sit at the bar or a table and relax. In addition, they are big supporters of the community and host music evenings to benefit local charities. I know community work doesn't make the coffee any better, but here you have it both ways. read more

Topline: if your tastebuds are dull and you can walk here when you feel like getting out of the house, go by all means come get some coffee here. would normally not make a review for my unremarkable visit here. Out of town, hoping to find that lucky great coffee place halfway to my destination and move into my day, I found this place. Coffee with add shot bad taste and burnt flavor. Double espresso also burnt taste . Seems that the idea is to use cheap coffee and make it strong-flavored with burnt bitterness. No biggy, many coffee places do this. The reason I am delaying my hike and bothering to write this is the type of customer-service mistake that was made here. This is obviously a neighborhood place. Bad sign that it was all retired people with whom the cashier bantered in an obsequious manor. Same cashier does not listen carefully. More of a talker, I guess. When placing my order I observed the owner paying close attention to what both of us were saying. Perhaps cashier makes a few too many mistakes??? Needless to say my order was wrong. When I told cashier I wished to purchase what I originally ordered and pay for it she put it on me. "You ordered the wrong thing" was her implication." I quietly asked my steel-trap memory husband what did I actually say. He confirmed that the mistake was hers. But in 3-4 instances she took a misunderstanding and blamed it on me. This is a poor way to interact. Placing blame. With attention and some acquired skills and an interest in self-improvement, this cashier can stop creating little problems at her place of work. Most importantly, a change in attitude would changer her personal life for the better. I regret that I have little faith in this outcome. Try some other place and enjoy the wonderful weather in Oceanside. read more

Proof that looks can, in fact, be deceiving. This outwardly charming hippy dippy coffee shop is no more than a glorified Starbucks in disguise. The lukewarm reception we got from the barista (despite there being only two other patrons in the shop) was only matched by the underwhelming iced tea and dingy decor. I'm really hoping that we simply caught them on an off day. For that matter, this was the first of many trips to Oceanside that Jitters was actually open despite my boyfriend's and my attempts to check out the shop during seemingly regular business hours. After such an anticlimactic experience, my recommendation would be to save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Over priced coffee and the employees were rude to my child. One guy yelled at my child for tapping on the glass because he was exicted with their muffins. We walked right out. Not very family friendly staff. Employees should NEVER EVER yell at a customer, EVER!! Especially a 3 year ol child! If one of my employees ever raised their voice at one of my customers, they would be fired on the spot, no questions asked. Do not bring your kids here. read more

So normally I would have posted all 5 stars especially because I go here often. I live in San Marcos and I make it a point to come out here whenever I'm in the area. I have told people about how great this place is and to always help out small businesses local ones for that matter. Well yesterday I went by on our way to the beach and ordered two Carmel macchiatos. The lady there was nice as usual but things went completely south the moment I asked her, "did I say iced?" She said no, then I said "I'm so sorry but can I get them iced?" Not only did she want to eat me alive but she said "I already started steaming this one" I felt bad for even asking so I said ok that's fine. Mind you I'm paying almost $5 for each coffee! She then said I guess I can make one iced. I said thank you. She said nothing. Then she put our the drinks on the counter and walked away. Lord knows at this point I was shocked because I've never been treated bad there even the owner was there and he said NOTHING! I always go there and he's super nice especially with my dog Jiggy. Well as I walked out I asked her for a cup of ice and she ROLLED HER EYES AT ME AND WALKED AWAY!! I totally was dumb founded. She's always nice to me. She put the cup of ice on the counter and as I was telling her "thank you so much" she straight up walked away from me!!! Super sad because I always always always rave about this coffee shop! Customer service is huge for me and yesterday was probably the worst I've ever received at any coffee shop. What made it worse was that I took my cousin there with me and told her she was in for a treat as she has never been there. I was excited to have her check my little local find and let me tell you she was embarrassed as much as I was. Super disappointed in both the lady there who did our drinks and the owner who should have said hey it's ok we can make them iced for you ladies. But nope yesterday must have been an off day for Jitters and I'm still debating on ever returning and giving them so much wonderful referrals there read more

The decor is funky and was created by Clayton who also is a glass blower- he created all the exotic glassware on display. Lots of music, books, and art throughout the shop. I went here today and got a green tea and a Dragon fruit bowl. The total was just short of $11. The tea was quickly served, with loose leaf tea that was put into a bag, but I wasn't told how long the tea is supposed to steep. After that, the two baristas began talking, walking around, and ringing up some more customers. After waiting a little over 5 minutes, and seeing what looked like lack of communication, I reminded the barista that I haven't received my fruit bowl. She quickly snarked back, "well I have to make it!" Although I don't think the time I waited was too excessive, I believe 1 of the baristas could've been making my fruit bowl while the other one took care of the other customers. When I finally got the fruit bowl, it was quite tasty, but the tea was a little bitter. I don't think I'd go back because of the rude service. read more

We were driving from san diego back to los angeles and pulled over in oceanside for a cup of coffee. It was sunday and they were cleaning up as they had closed an hour ago. But they were so kind to us and made us an iced coffee and let us use the bathroom. Such a tasty cup of coffee. Great staff, great music, nice vibe. We will definitely stop by again on our way to and from SD...but will do so during normal biz hours. read more
