3/24/20 Took my car in to get some much needed repairs I've procrastinated on. 1. A clicking noise coming from the tires every time I made a turn. 2. AC would not come on randomly, and then come on while driving. Was serviced by Chris Viniegas. The check in was a smooth process. Dropped Athena (my car) off a little after 7:20a and waited for a call on the estimate. About 1ish I got a call from Chris, apparently my axels (both) needed to be replaced and some short circuit was happening with the system that caused the other stuffs. Decided to fix the axels only since that was a major problem and would cause more harm if not taken cared of right away. Repairs would take a day so I approved repairs and anticipated the call when to pick up. The next day, I get a call about 11:30ish, my car was ready and repairs went well. Chris gave me some things to avoid so that my axels will last longer. Avoid metal plates on the road and potholes! Yea, that's a challenge! Anyways, Joy in the office took my payment, and after paying a little over $1600 which was a bit high but worth it, I walked out to see my car was given a car wash and the insides were vacuumed and wiped down. I just came from the mainland and I went to the JN Chevrolet dealership on June 13. I was extremely disappointed with the salesman at this dealership. On that day, I had already got a pre-approved finance document from my credit union, and I was planning to put in a deposit if there was a great deal for a 2023 Chevy Colorado. When I arrived at your dealership around 4 pm, one salesman came to facilitate me. He was the rudest salesman I had ever contacted, given that I had bought a few cars previously on the mainland and in my home country. I asked him about the availability of incoming trucks and out-the-door prices. He insisted that he could not discount a 4800$ markup and kept asking me whether I had money to deposit for a car or not. He refused to give me an out-the-door quote and his name card. Because of his very rude behavior while I was negotiating a markup, I said I might not put a deposit with him and may go shop around at other dealers for a lower markup if he could not discount a markup. I clearly remembered his rude statement because no one had ever said this to me. He said, "If other dealers have a vehicle you're looking for, why did you come here? Since they don't have vehicles like us, we have to do markup." I said, "Maybe Servco has a lower markup truck." He insolently replied, "If they have it, why did you come here? Go to Servco!". After this extremely rude statement, I did not know what was wrong with him, so I walked out immediately. I felt very disappointed about the unprofessional salesman and lost all trust in this dealership. Then, I went to Servco as he said. Currently, I have already put a deposit on a truck at Servco with an incomparable buying experience without markup. Save yourself a headache and DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM HERE! I purchased a new, 2017 Chevy Colorado that immediately had transmission problems (lurching, bucking, kicking, shuddering). I brought the truck in multiple times over the course of a few years and they never resolved the issue. Every time they test-rode the truck, they could "never recreate the issue." I even did a test drive with the technician and we both felt the kick and still no help. Now there is a class-action lawsuit that says GM knowingly sold trucks with faulty transmissions and the suit claims "Dealers were directed to tell the customers that harsh shifts were 'normal or 'characteristic." Sounds familiar! Either way, I brought the truck in multiple times prior to this date and feel as though they kept pushing me out of warranty by refusing to address the issue. Now, I have a failing transmission with a $7900 repair estimate from a local shop but parts aren't available. Bought a brand new truck in yhe beginning of Oct. 2023. Noticed that my dafety inspection sticked expires at the end of April. I was told that the inspection should have been for 2 years, since the truck was new. I called the dealership and told them the problem and was told to come by ANYTIME. So I show up on a Saturday and was turned around was told to show up "ANYTIME" Monday tru Friday from 8am to 330pm. So I take a half day from work to get it done and was first asked if I had an appointment? No, I don't. Than I was told that the techs are on lunch, and if I come back at 130pm, thats 2 hours later. Ive bought a few vehicles from here but never again will I do business with them. I purchase a car from Mike Marcelin who was amazingly friendly as car salesman usually try to be. The car had a sticker that's said not yet ready for sale but they sold it anyway. Everything was great until about a year after purchase the car was still under warranty and took it for a warranty repair. Hyundai said the car had been in an accident and wouldn't do the work under warranty. I contacted JN and explained the story. They said they would have a manager get back to me and never did. I spoke with the salesperson today and that was a joke as well. Attached is his response. They were oblivious to the accident because they didn't do their job and thoroughly check the car prior to the sale. First off. The salesman Mike McLaren is extremely unprofessional. He lied to my face multiple times. Then he sold me a 2024 Chevy Colorado trailboss that was not fully assembled. Missing the 4x4 knob. He then wants me to come leave the truck for a week at the dealership to have it installed. I said no to that. Told them I would be taking my business elsewhere unless they got me another truck with a free bedliner and all wether mats. They agreed. I got a new Colorado. As soon as I drove home I noticed it shifting extremely rough (rougher than the engine breaking in). I took it back 3 separate times and they told me I was going to have to pay for the diagnostic on the third visit I declined. The other day on the free way the truck stopped working going 50mph. I got it all on video and sent it to Jason the manager at JN. He proceeded to ignore my texts and calls. So I decided to get rid of this truck and get a Tacoma. AVOID this dealership. Ryan, our first salesperson, was very good. He was very polite,low pressure, and patient. My wife and I test drove several cars over two weeks and finally settled on purchasing a 2018 used Volt with 5600 miles, almost in brand new condition. We love our car. The detailing crew forgot to put the charging cable back in the car, but Ryan and another person in sales gave us a brand new charging cable. Score!! Our second salesperson, Luke, was a tough negotiator, but he remained courteous and polite. He was also very patient as we can be tough negotiators as well. In the end, Luke got us a good and fair deal for the car. It was a long car buying experience, but worth it. Again, we love our car and the deal was more than fair. Andrew, the warranty guy, was very personable. We connected with him because he was also a dog person. He didn't try to push warranties that we didn't want and was very patient with our many questions and ran different scenarios (disappearing deductible, different deductible amounts, etc.). He even showed us his dog car seat so that we can get a similar one for our dog. Jason, the manager, was courteous and friendly. We appreciate his support of his staff and agreeing to the final negotiated amount. The staff stayed until we were ready and the car was ready even though the dealership had closed. The staff put extra effort to make sure we were satisfied with the purchase and understood how to operate the car because it's our first electric car. JN has the worst Service Dept. I emailed and chatted with two different individuals about a battery warranty that on their site says has a 30 month replacement. My battery had already died and I needed a jump to get to work that day and no one bothered to contact me back to simply verify if there was any other stipulations. I would have been happy to take it in but I knew 100% it was a faulty battery. Long story short, four days and 3 jumps later I bought a new battery. My car has not had any issues since. Today is Aug 23, 2022, on my previous review about a month ago regarding a repair for the whole differential assembly ( rear end ) it is now SIX MONTHS that I'm waiting for my repair on my 2017 Silverado 1500 Crew while my extended warranty is slowly dissipating which expires October 2023. Mandy, Did you read my review? I already spoke to Anel and while a really nice person to speak to, she has never followed up with me since. I spoke to her about my frustration, at which point she could have made a difference, but instead obviously didn't follow through and put me in a loaner with no radio and an extremely dirty window that matched the condition of the car. Decent service - not out of this world just decent to show some kind of concern for the fact that I was mistakenly allowed to drive off the lot with a car that did not pass safely inspection; nor was I informed in anyway that it did not pass. While I recognized that the stickers were expired my family and I continued to drive the car believing, because we were not told otherwise at anytime that the safety did not pass. I was told I was all good and ready to go. There was no follow up scheduled or advised, nothing. We had to call, clarify and make the effort to get the car back in there. Hours that have been taken from my work in order to settle this. Tomorrow makes 2 weeks with loaner. "Thanks" for the courtesy reply but no thanks. JN continues to infuriate me. The sales team is super friendly and quick to use the "family" card. When I purchased my vehicle I was told that the car was serviced and detailed ready to go. Our sales guy told us that he was late for her daughters soccer game so instead of handing us over to someone who had time he kept rushing us to sign paperwork. Every time I'd ask a question that the contract he would make a stressed look and mention the soccer game as if it was my fault he was late. We were so excited because we really needed a bigger car and trusted the dealership but when we got home I felt like I got had. There were pizza crusts under the backseats, gum stuck to one of the chairs and under each seat was covered in sand. I foolishly didn't take it back having not known that was possible (found out later from a friend). I spent 2 hrs detailing it myself the next day. Then a few weeks later I realized the coolant tank was bone dry. We noticed this because the fan would constantly come on. Bottom line it was never detailed and I highly doubt it was serviced. They got me good I'll give them that. Lesson learned. To anyone looking to purchase, take your time. And double check everything. This was completely unacceptable. read more

Worst customer service ever. First red flag on customer service. Brand new truck supposed to get detailed and water spots removed off windshield before I drive it off lot. I have to send truck back to detailer 4 times before they get water spots off and what they call fallout off the truck. (Fallout is from dirt sitting on paint so long that it inbeds into paint.) And even then I had to clean it myself. Any vehicle complaint they say it's normal. GM say its not normal and I have to try and take it to another dealer for worrenty repairs. Cab interior of 2014 silverado is extremely load on freeway. With a decibel reader app on my note 3 it reads 90 to 95 decibels. Jn Chevrolet says it normal. (Osha requires ear plugs at 82 decibels ) GM says its not normal. and have to take to different dealer. 2014 chevy truck holds water in door trim. jn service department says it's normal. I talk to service manager she says it's normal. Says its caused from the factory standard size tires. I say are you kidding me. Then she looks closer at the hard water marks from the dirty water constintly dripping dirty water down the side of door and says it looks like a Scratch. I say, now what is it normal or a scratch! Truck is brand new,driving less then 6 months and brake boster starts leeking brake oil on the inside of cab all over carpet and matt. Dripping down back wall. I bring truck in and they replace brake boster and don't clean carpet or replace. Carpet is saturated all the way threw with oil, it needs replacing. GM says the carpet is not under worrenty. But GM wants me to take it to a different dealer. Because JN doesn't want to service my vehicle anymore. Banded me because of my dilog. I Told that service manager that her answer was bullshit and I want general manager and guess what he told me ? It normal. And is it normal that your service department leave oily finger prints on my vehicle ever t time that I've brought my truck in. They also told me it was normal with there cutesy car wash for them not to wash and dry the top of my factory height truck because they can't reach it. read more

Anel Uno still has not responded to my email, or voicemails. My wife's car is still making a knocking noise coming from the front. This is not a one star rating, this is still a ZERO star RATING. We scheduled an oil appointment last week and that also went terrible. We had to cancel prior appointments because the shuttle never showed up to pick us up for at least 2 hours! I called numerous times and I could not get anyone on the phone. So I called the sales department and the woman on the phone that I talked to was so rushed and not concerned with my needs that she stated, " Sir all I can do is transfer you to the service department, if they don't answer then they aren't there." How about this.... get up off your lazy butt, and walk over to a manager and tell them what's going on. I swear I am beyond angry and I have no more patience with these people. I had to call someone from work to come and pick us up to take us to JN. Once in, the service manager hadn't even been informed or told what was going on with our car. The knocking noise seemed to subside when JN said that they " Tightened up some things, lubed our breaks, and assessed our car." Well now it is 7 days later, and the car is knocking just as loud as it was before. I seriously do not know what to do at this point because your business is not fixing the problem. They are literally placing a bandaid over something that was negligently done from a prior oil service. The service manager was so disrespectful to my wife. He didn't even shake her hand at the end when we were checking out. HE seriously couldn't handle the fact that she was pissed off from what wasn't being done with HER CARE. I hate when people assume it is my car when clearly I am telling them that it is my wife's car and that you should give her the respect that is owed to her. It shouldn't make a difference if it is a male's car or a female's car. Respect should be given to the customer no matter who they are or where they are from. JN Chevrolet really has an inconsiderate team of individuals working there. Please heed this warning. This post cannot and will not shed light on the true experience that we have had at this place FOUR TIMES IN A ROW. It is outrageous. I finally sold this truck and I must say I still hear horror stories from coworkers about this dealership. Sell your vehicle private party before trying to trade it in at this dealer. Don't expect to receive good customer service. Don't expect them to honor website pricing and absolutely do not let this dealership detail your vehicle. They WILL ruin your paint. Don't expect this dealership to only run your credit twice (I had two hard hits from them) don't expect them to accomplish your paperwork correctly or in a timely manner. We were there 6 hours the first time and then got called back a couple days later because they had us sign the wrong paperwork, then we waited around forever for that to get done, then I needed up having to come back a 3rd time. I don't quite recall what the third time was about, I think I was sold the truck without the owners manual or something. The money the dealership owed me was ridiculous. Excuse after excuse, because they waited forever to pay my vehicle off. I was in constant contact with the financier and dealer so I knew what was going on the whole time. One star is generous toward their customer service. I've chosen to post a yelp review since JN Chevrolet stopped responding to our customer service feedback through texting. I guess they don't respond if the answers the customers give isn't what they want to hear. This is my initial feedback I had with my husband. The overall dealership visit was mediocre at best. The only highlight was that we were greeted promptly, and this wasn't even done by Mike. After collecting personal information, Mike continued to run a credit check without being clear on a prospective car we would be buying. We clarified make and model of a vehicle, but were not shown or directed to any particular vehicle. This action made me hesitant to purchase. Shortly after, a manager approached us in a poor attempt to clarify work and credit information. My wife and I felt racially and social-class stereotyped by this person. I am an executive chef employed during a pandemic, this basic fact was doubted by the manager in a blatant rude manner. My wife has a past auto loan issue that negatively effects her credit report, I'm sure she is not the only person with such an issue. Shortly after this lackluster interaction, Mike continues to social-class stereotype in the same manner as his manager. He doubted my ability to put down any amount of money, when the reality was that I had no interest in putting down ANY amount of money after these interactions made my wife and I feel inadequate. Overall, Mike and his immediate manager stereotyped my wife and I in such a way that we did not feel compelled to purchase a vehicle at that time, or any time in the future. I've purchased my car in April 4th 2018. They told me that they are going to send me a title and registration in a month. Now it's May 16th. I am still wating them. Also my car registration will be expired the end of this month. So I called their customer service. The lady who I talked with said "I got it" and hung up the phone call after she asked only my name and address. Even she didn't ask why I was calling for. lol I really hope that she got my point of the phone call. I got only 6days to renew my car registration without my working days by the end of this month because they are delaying to send them to me. I hope she or they do their job and send them immediately. Also they should think about their customers more. Not all the customers have plenty time to go dmv. I really didn't want to renew my registration at the last minute. it took three months to get what I wanted but here was the overall experience complimented with horrible grammar enjoy. I went to the auto show in honolulu and saw the 2014 impala and had to have it so when I went in to ask about it I ran into people trying to sell me a camaro others changed subject about how the new impala would be in the hawaii five-O new season (awww i dont care :) I was able to test drive it thanks to Lori Clark and came in later to talk about getting one. The salesmen tried to get me to buy a camaro, then they asked me if I wanted one they had already, and when I said I knew specifically what I wanted they wondered "so the ones available arent something you can live with?" So I got in touch with Lori Clark again and told her the only way theyre getting my business is through her help. She helped with getting the custom order in and with keeping me updated the whole time. even when I was off island she was telling me the updates like when it got on the boat in Oakland to when it made it in port. When I finally got my baby she helped with my trading in TWO cars to get this. then I was given references where I could get more work done on the car. the auto service is a little slow but thats beyond their control at the moment as ive been informed but they put up with my friend and I who get ridiculously obnoxious no matter where we go. Overall you just need to find your salesman or woman and they are dedicated to helping you from start to finish and even after the sale. specifically if you want help with impalas, camaros, or vettes then Lori Clark is your woman. 5 stars all day. read more
