DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM CHOICE AUTO. You will thank me for giving you notice that this business is shady. They are fast talkers and fast sellers, over promising and not delivering. Right after I signed the papers and ready to drive off, the engine light turned on. The manager did a diagnostic and said car is safe to drive. Come back and we'll fix the issue. 2 months went by before they could fix. When they did, engine light came back on a month later but sorry, their 3 month warranty expired so nothing they could do! And the kicker was the car ac was so nice and cold - then 3 months later, ac blowing hot air. Sorry! 3 months later was up. 2 different managers telling different stories and texting you but never know who you're communicating with. Lesson learned. Choice??? Bad choice! Wrote the below a few days ago with 3 stars however with some research I am rescinding those 3 stars because I found out this IS INDEED a statewide problem. The DMV is extremely backlogged. This is not Choice Autos fault. Well, cars great and the buying processes was great ... HOWEVER we somehow missed is that the safety inspection had expired 6 months prior to our purchase... and as of now, STILL no registration papers received. So here we are 3 months later, a 5k down and 2 payments processed (auto loan) but the car is still not in our name. Been pulled over twice already luckily they let us go without a ticket. Its un-nerving driving around a car with expired registration & safety. When we call they just say they are waiting on the state. HUH???? The cops said they should not be selling cars that safety & registration is not current. Last time we got pulled over a month ago car was still in old owners name. Got our car and didn't have front license plate. called them multiple times in the time span of 2 months before our safety expired and call again and was told that we have to get it ourselves cause of a communication issue they have with the dmv, very un-organized, not on it like they claim they are and we also had to wait 2 months for our registration to come in. The vehicle has so many issues. Choice refused to honor the warranty, have paid over $4k trying to get the car fixed and it still is t fixed. Transmission is toast, brakes were so worn the repair shop doesn't even know how they were able to sell the vehicle to us, we were told all maintenance was performed and it was way over an oil change, etc. This dealership is AWFUL! Update as it's been a year and a month, ON GOD, I got ripped off. I look at other civics getting posted for 25-30K and they are newer with less miles or brand new, but my car was 36K and I put a $1000 down. I had good credit and a co-signer. I should've researched my car better before I signed bc it was only worth 25K on KBB at the time. Stuck with it for the next 5 1/2 years now, also within the month I bought the car I had 6 different error codes pop up while driving for my brake systems and a few others smh. Purchased our SUV in December 2024. Returned it the next day to get fixed because the alignment was off, the steering wheel was kept getting stuck like it was sticky and the breaks kept squeaking. When we took it back we were assured that it would be fixed no problem. We just got our car back TODAY! Multiple calls throughout the month of waiting where nobody that answered knew what was going on with the car (if it was being fixed or still waiting) up until last week when they told me the part had just came in and it'll be fixed by this week "hopefully". We just got home and I'm extremely disappointed. After pulling doubles at work all I wanted to do was come home and relax. When driving home it seems like nothing was fixed! The problems with the alignment seems a little better but not completely, the stickiness of the steering wheel is the exact same as it was when we dropped it off and now we have dents, scratches and dirt everywhere including inside!! Do not waste your time and money here! I bought a total lemon. I initially rated them 5 stars thinking I got a good deal, Boy, was I wrong! From the screw and nail in my tires to the engine problem and then now trying to get my refund on the unused extended warranty I had purchased. Long story short, I ended up trading in my van to a different car dealership and was totally upfront with them. The salesman was my cousin's friend and yes, I should've gone to him first but I didn't know she had connections. He was able to find what I wanted and I got a great deal on my next vehicle. To be transparent, I can't fully recommend them as I have not gone through the buying process with them. I did speak with Chris over the phone while shopping for a new car, he was very helpful and diligent in getting me answers to my general questions. They also had a text thread where a few reps reached out here and there, it wasn't super pushy (which I appreciate) and it stopped completely with a pleasant send-off from them when I informed them that I got a vehicle elsewhere. I bought a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser from Choice Auto and it has been nothing but trouble since owning it. Drove it home and heard a grinding noise when shifting from 3rd to 4th gear. The battery died on me the next day of owning it. They still haven't processed my Registration or Safety Check. They still haven't given the Title to Navy Federal where I financed the vehicle. When I told Choice Auto about the grinding noise, Brandon, one of the manager said he'll take care of it. Had me drive it to Willy's Transmission and told Choice Auto it will cost $4800 to repair. Brandon and the salesperson, Mikey, assured me they will take care of it even though their 90 day warranty only covers up to $1500. Another manager, Gabe, called and told me they can double the coverage of the 90 day warranty to $3000 and I explained to this manager that Brandon said they will cover everything. Gabe then basically told me take or leave it. I am filing a complaint with Better Business Bureau, and will also file a civil lawsuit against Choice Auto. Do not do business with this Choice Auto as you will have nothing but headaches dealing with them. When I looked at the truck it had rust on the front metal fabrication bumper and alot of scratches on both sides and dents on the tailgate. They were selling this truck for $39995 because of the small lift of 3.5 inches with kings. There was no spare tire by the way which is Rubbah. They also told me it was low mileage when the taco had +70k miles I offered them $32995 and the sales lady was being way too pushy saying "everybody wants a yota and I have a appointment in three days." Like many others on this page, Choice Automotive asked me to write a 5 star review (which was a red flag and is against yelps guidelines) before I bought the car, so don't only trust good ones, as they are not all accurate. It's easy to spot these as they are usually written before they drive off the lot and sign paperwork, so they sound extremely hopeful and optimistic. Many others have had to trade in their broken cars for another at a loss, since choice refuses to buy back the vehicles they sell. This helps explain the F rating on BBB. The person who referred me to them was also paid $250. Honest businesses who have been operating for 15 years shouldn't need to pay others for referrals and ask for reviews before they've even made the sale. Naive, I thought I just had really bad luck with my car until realizing the scam at play - they knowingly sold it to me broken (negligence). They apologized and said that it was the salesman's fault, and that he no longer works with them. They told me to go to their mechanic who would fix it for free. They kept my vehicle for a month or more each time, and when I got it back, it broke again and again within a week/first couple drives each time. The car started smoking after I picked it up the last time, and it turned out that they removed a part from under the hood after "fixing it for free" for a month! Lied to me bout installing a $750 stereo in my used 2015 scienna van. I googled stereo they installed wasn't even $200?! Also did not do full maintenance check. If at all!!? Bought the van September 2023 on Labor Day. October 29,2023 bought all new tires. In July found my front tires needed to be replaced due to worn out front control arm. Both sides!! Choice auto sold me a straight dud. I brought home the car October 23 and by November 10 my tire wasn't holding air. November 18 it started driving weird and the brakes went out. In November 27 my tire flew off my car. Everything before I even made my first car payment. Might I also add that they sold me the car without safety and made me sign the papers before I even saw the car. I originally went in for a different car but realized it wasn't worth it and when I told the salesman they brought out the manager to talk me into buying it. When they realized I wasn't budging the showed me the lifted 4Runner but knew nothing about it which should have been the first red flag. Then they wanted me to sign the paperwork for it that night before I even saw the car because it was at a different lot. Stupidly I agreed because I didn't know better (I'm young and went alone). Only after signing everything I was informed that the safety was backed on the car and that I would have to take care of it to get my registration. I went home thinking nothing and the next day I went in to see the car and from afar it was gorgeous. When I walked up to it I realized every single rim was curbed and there was a small dent in the rear passenger panel. When i drove it, it drove a little soft and I thought nothing of it. It was fine for the first few weeks then my tire wouldn't hold air and I realized the rim was cracked and I don't drive crazy enough to make that happen. After that, while driving I heard a pop sound and my brakes went out and my wheel was wobbling along with my front passenger tire so I parked it until I had the time to take it in to get it fixed. While driving it to get it fixed my tire came off because all my stubs snapped. I just got it back from the shop and so far the very much recommended I figure out what's wrong with my brakes along with fixing my SPC ball joints, shocks, hub caps, along with figuring out why almost every light is on on top of my dash. I notified choice auto when my tire fell off while driving, downhill might I add, and they said they would have to appraise it after I asked them to just buy it back for what I owe on the loan and also said they would only cover $1500 for repair costs but only on certain things. So far I've spent over 5k within the past month to try to get it to where it can drive again. So, if there's anything you can take away from my personal experience of choice auto, let it be that you shouldn't even bother. And if you read this please learn from my mistakes. read more

I waited to make my review because of the problems I was having with the car I purchased. Would have given a five star rating except for that one problem. To start off the sale and purchase went smoothly a without a hitch. Car was in excellent condition. I didn't get the car inspected as I brought used cars before. As a standard procedure, I would purchase the extended warrenty, and then have the car checked. This has worked out well in the past as my mechanic would find problems and then I would get it fixed under the warranty. This time didn't work for me BECAUSE, tried to contact them about the extended warranty for the problems found. At first they said they would contact their shop. But after that, I got ghosted. Every time I called I had to leave a message because the person I needed to talk to wasn't available. I finally went there personally, and found the person was working with another customer. I waited for the customer to leave, I thought I would be next. But was informed there was another customer in front of me. Òk, I'll wait. Anyway, anybody knows buying a car takes a long time. I left a message to call me. Two days later, still no call. I'm giving 4 stars here because the sale was smooth and quickly done and deducted one star for the lack of follow up.
