Woah, I can't say enough good things about Mike!! My wife and I had a pretty horrible car-buying experience the first time we bought a car on this island, so I came into this situation with a lot of mistrust. Mike was so kind and understanding, and he was totally cool with us taking the car to another mechanic to get it checked out before buying it--which is pretty much unheard of at other dealerships. But it doesn't stop there. When I asked him to put air in the tires of our old car, he went above and beyond. He had his mechanic check the tires for nails and actually found one! UPDATE: I added one star back to my original review due to the business owner's prompt response to my review. Understandably, being understaffed can pose unforeseen circumstances. However, I never did receive the email from the owner that he speaks of in his response, so that one-star deduction still remains. Original Review: I never got to actually speak with anyone at Voyager or go through a transaction with them, so it's tough to give a balanced review. What I've done instead is start with 5-stars and then deduct a star for no one being present in the showroom to greet me and answer questions and another star deduction for not responding to my inquiry on their web page after I left still not having encountered a soul at the establishment. I went to Voyager on a Saturday morning to look at a Honda Rebel 300 motorcycle that was listed for sale. The dealership is in the Pearl City Industrial Park and I had no problem finding it. There was plenty of parking when I arrived. There were vehicles for sale both inside and outside their warehouse showroom. Not seeing the bike outside, I walked inside and found several motorcycles for sale including the Honda Rebel 300. The bikes were arranged pretty close together, so I looked for someone that could move the bike out so I could inspect it better and try it on for size but there was no one. I stayed onsite for at least 15 minutes and never saw anyone, so I left. Later that day, I went onto their website and used their online Inquiry tool to give my information and ask if they would entertain a price of $.... I didn't expect an immediate response, but I figured I'd hear something within one business day. Counting the day of my visit, it's now Day 5 and no response whatsoever. Even if Voyager felt my offer was ridiculously low, I would think they would make a counteroffer to keep the dialogue going. I'm still interested in the bike, so if Voyager sees this maybe they'll recheck their Inbox for my inquiry. If so, I'll update my review based on that interaction. read more

I believe all of the cars in the lot are very well kept and taken care of (unlike most used car dealerships in the area. A long story short Mike stored my Jeep for me while my real estate transaction sluggishly moved to closing. there were a couple of issues that needed to be fixed that showed up after one weekend of driving so the team at voyager had 40 days to fit it in and get er done. Fast forward to my closing and beyond my jeep sat and a hose for the power steering was high press and I needed a new hose. After an extensive online search, I found a "unicorn"....a 2019 Kia Sportage with less than 5,700 miles and within my price range!  Did a online inquiry and within minutes received a phone call from Darby. Darby was knowledgeable, open, and transparent. After this brief conversation, I was even more excited about this "unicorn". Completed the online financing application and hurried over to the car lot. I was able to test drive the vehicle and I was sold! Great dealership on island with fare pricing on quality stock. I went to 4 dealerships in a matter of days looking for a solid used car with under 100k for around $4-$5k. Voyager was the only one who had something in my lower price range in good condition with low mileage and they got me a low APR on a bank finance. I just moved back to the island and am a Toyota loyal. I tried Craigslist first and bought from a private dealer. Within moments of bringing to my mechanic, I realized I had bought a lemon. Thankfully I was able to return it to the owner, get my cash back and I went straight to the dealerships! No time to mess around with private sellers, who don't know their cars history, don't know or keep info that is important, and possibly too far away like Northshore, etc. I went to Servco and Honda Windward. They were nice and helpful, but didn't have in the price range I needed, nor the Rav4 that I wanted. I found Voyager on Craigslist because they had nice looking Mini Coopers, but I ended up taking a 2008 Yaris with around 90k. They don't like to haggle, but they did give me a few breaks and discounts. Sale was smooth. Super friendly, helpful, and quick. After I left I realized there was a warp in the windshield glass and no mats. I was gonna suck it up; my fault for not saying anything. But the next morning, Mike called to check up/follow up and I took the opportunity to mention the windshield and mats. We made an appointment within a few hours and he got the car cleaned, windshield replaced, and new Mercedes mats (didn't match my car, but they are nice!) - all complimentary - FREE. I appreciate their honesty and quick response to my concerns. They have in house mechanic if anything goes wrong and now I have a lifetime guarantee on my windshield too! Car buying supposedly a fun, yet most consumers struggle and have to haggle, especially for a used car and often deal with untrustworthy individual or company. Though some customers experienced unfavorable outcomes with their purchases, they also purchased an older or high mileage vehicle and used cars are sold as is unless dealer certified vehicles. We purchased VW Tiguan SE with 20k with less than 1/2 of a new one, and manufactures warranty still left. Price/Value: I did extensive research online for a used 2016 Honda Odyssey on Oahu using kbb, nada, edmunds, cargurus and their pricing is consistently fair compared to the other bigger/smaller dealers on the island. Eventhough their prices were already competitive and some of the lowest around to start, they were accomodating to further fair negotiation. These guys have transparent straigthforward prices and they worked quickly and seemlessly with my credit union in regards to financing. Location/Inventory: Their website provides all the relevant info such as the free detailed carfax report you are interested in so you have a better understanding of the vehicle condition and history before you set foot at their dealership. I felt the location is professional, clean, well organized, and safe. Even though I was focused on getting my Odyssey van, I could not help but step back and admire the quality of cars for sale on the lot and the attention to detail they are given. My Odyssey came with a 90 day dealer warranty (100% of the parts and labor) based on the amount of miles it had at the time of purchase and that greatly eased my fears of a used car falling apart once I bought it and drove it off the lot. Customer Service: No sales pressure. None. I emailed a handful of dealerships that carried the Honda Odysseys I was interested in purchasing. Cody from Voyager was the quickest to respond and followed through with a fair, transparent, and detailed price quote. The other dealerships pretty much dragged their feet and when they did finally (if at all) get me their "best price" quote, it was overpriced or tacked on with unreasonably high and extra fees. Cody was customer service oriented, prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful to my family throughout the buying the process. More importantly he remained so even after I bought the van. Mike, who handled the finances, worked alongside Cody and together they took customer service to another level. Even AFTER I already agreed to the purchase price of the Odyssey, without me asking, he added 4 new tires - roughly $800 value, 1 side rocker panel/skirt replacement - roughly $200 value, and installation at NO cost to me. Since that time my car over heated (3 months) paid about 700$ to get everything fixed. 6 months later AC went out .. paid to get it fixed (600$) then had an electrical problem they could not fix. And THEN 7/28/17 my car wouldn't go into any gear. A year and a half later they tell me " with the car being 10 years old it depreciates in value " well sir... my car was 10 years old when I bought it. He offered me 4K for it when on the phone. I owe 8k and paid another 4K on top of that ... this was a bad business transaction. (Hope you got your cut ) You can expect a CC of the letter to the BBB :) karma is a bitch only when you are. I bought a car from Voyager Auto Sales last month and I have been meaning to write a review but kept putting it off. I want to say how impressed I was with the whole experience and pleased with the service I received. Everyone there is very nice and accommodating, yet I never felt any pressure to buy, unlike other places. At the time I was looking, there was another car I was interested in somewhere else, and the business was only a few miles from where I work, which would have been more convenient. But after reading some of the terrible reviews from prior customers, I knew that there was no way I would buy a car from them because I didn't want what happened to them, to happen to me. Voyager is a little hard to find, but worth it. Mike was very patient and answered all my questions and I liked how all their cars come with a CARFAX report, so you know it's history. This made me feel confident that the car wasn't involved in any major accidents which might affect it's performance. Also, their prices are very fair and I was pleasantly surprised when Mike told me that the car I bought came with a 3 month or 5,000 miles warranty. So no lemons. The car is in excellent condition except for some scratches on top of the inside door, but Voyager was nice enough to find some paint that was the exact match of the car, and touch it up so It's hardly noticeable. All in all, I am very happy with my new used car and it's a pleasure to drive. After I bought it, there was a problem with the check engine light so I brought it in, and they ordered a part and put it in at no cost to me. So they stand by their cars. I've mostly purchased cars for myself or while helping others through private sales transactions because my interactions with car dealerships have ranged from tolerable to truly awful. I didn't even consider looking at dealerships when I reluctantly accepted the fact that it was time to buy a minivan for the family. However, the market for a used minivan is tough and after searching the private market for six months I was forced to consider dealerships. Enter Voyager Car Sales. Through a strange twist of fate, I found their listing on the CarFax.com site while looking up the CarFax report for another vehicle from Craigslist. After looking at the Yelp reviews and their website, I decided to check out the Honda Odyssey van they had for sale. Cody responded to my website inquiry quickly and we arranged for a test drive. Once there, Cody was welcoming and transparent. On the test drive he told me about their business model: Voyager has been in business for over 25 years and they buy good condition used cars from the auto auction and price them so that they can make enough profit to keep the business going while being the lowest, or close to the lowest, price for that particular year/make/model vehicle when compared to other local dealerships. They are very picky in the cars they buy and they emphasize service and doing the right thing for their customers. No sales pressure, just good cars at a good price, backed by excellent service. Happy customers then become repeat customers and share their wonderful experience at Voyager Auto Sales with friends and family. Wow, that is how every business should be run. The van was in excellent condition and priced more than reasonably so we decided to buy it since this was the best priced, best condition minivan we came across. While Cody was writing up the papers I did my final walk-around and discovered what looked to be an oil or transmission fluid leak. Cody had their mechanics put it on the lift and take a look and they said it appeared to be a very slow leak. This is where they showed they are NOT like the other dealerships. Cody immediately scheduled an appointment the next day at Tony Honda since the car was still under warranty. They took the van to the dealership who checked the car and tested it and confirmed that it was just a sloppy maintenance job and there was no leak. However, they found the battery was charging slowly so Voyager pushed them to change the battery under warranty--sweet! Cody kept us updated on the progress and once the car was back on the lot a few days later, we happily went to pick it. Funny thing, while we were waiting for our van to be checked out, we saw a similar Odyssey come in, which was just mentioned in another review on Yelp. I had to see this for myself. I went to Voyager and met Mike. He was very easy-going and answered all of my questions. It did not take long before I realized that what I read about in the Yelp reviews was true - "No Pressure." I had my eye on a Volkswagen GTI and I test drove it. I was sold but I needed approval from wife. Mike invited me to bring her so she could take a test drive, too. We did just that a few days later and we bought the car. My husband & I have a condo on the West End of Molokai, HI. We had an old Honda CRV that was an "ok" island car, but as my hubby is a wildlife photographer & wanted to get off on back roads of this phenomenal island to get shots that otherwise would be inaccessible without a 4-wheel drive, we started searching Craigslist for something that would be a good vehicle for that. We found a 2011 4-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited on Craigslist that was listed by this dealer. Everything looked great, but we were a bit nervous about buying it sight unseen & having it shipped over, which we'd never done before. We called to inquire about it and talked with Mike Tirgardoon. From that conversation on, we had nothing but the BEST experience ever in buying a used car from a dealership. He agreed to wrap the sales tax & shipping costs into the asking price of the car & handle all paperwork to get it shipped over to us. He texted us all the paperwork & we texted our drivers' licenses for the Bill of Sale. He let us know exactly when to expect it, and it arrived on time and in great shape. After we got it, we had our on-island mechanic check it out. He found only minor issues that we would need to consider -- things like having shocks replaced. It is PERFECT for our needs. It will allow us to have extra room for guests who visit; plus the back serves very well for storage & camera equipment and such -- beach chairs, beach umbrellas, etc. We can tell we're going to love, love, love this vehicle ... and we already are getting compliments from folks on island who think it's new because it looks so nice. We never stepped foot onto the dealership, but we'd highly recommend anyone from any of the islands considering purchasing a car from them, as they made it so easy ... were very accommodating and reasonable with their pricing ... and even without our asking put on a new tire for one that appeared to have less than a year left on it and also had a second key made. (Only problem with that second key is that it wasn't a 'chip' key, so it sets off the alarm if car is locked. But if you quickly start the car, it shuts off alarm. It's still nice to have the extra key, although we plan to order another one like the original. Overall, this has been the best used-car buying experience ever ... and we now know if we ever need another car here in HI, they'll get our repeat business! read more

OUTSTANDING!!!!! Awesome salesman and manager. Everyone we dealt with was super friendly and honest. We bought a 2007 VW Rabbit that was priced well below MSRP, it was priced at private party and was in beautiful condition. They have all their cars mechanically checked out and fix/replace any safety issues and the cars are cleaned really well. Most other used car dealer won't have their vehicles checked or even cleaned. I was so terrified to buy another car I kept putting it off until I was stranded. Silly me! If I had known how gentle and gracious the experience was going to be?
