the manager is rude, i went for pizza with my mom a while ago and he was yelling at the lady taking our order, who was a teenage girl, like most of the employees there are. i was completely turned off by this and do not plan on going back anytime soon. this used to be our go to pizza place, but its just not as good anymore. read more

I'd buy pizza here more often if the manager wasn't so rude to his female employees. Almost every time I go in there, it's uncomfortable and chaotic. I Ordered 2 lasagnas dinners, 20-25 minutes. Got there in 25, waited till 42 min. Got home, lasagna soup. I needed a ladle to serve it and tasted like crap. There meatball subs are very good, I will call it the way I see it. Employees were quick and very friendly. The cheese pizza was very good. A little cheesier than most NY slices, but the crust was crisp enough to withstand it, and it was good cheese, so it wasn't greasy. I also got a buffalo slice which was pretty good, but definitely not as good as the cheese. I got a side of ranch that tasted like it had to about a pound of garlic salt in it. I've been done eating for like 15 minutes and it's insultingly aggressive. I feel like I need to drink a gallon of water and another gallon of mouthwash. The (manager?) came out to check on everyone, which I thought was a nice touch, but at the same time, there were two unbussed tables next to me and he didn't think to grab the plates while he was standing empty-handed in the middle of the dining room. That's definitely not a cardinal sin, but not a look I'd want for my business. All in all, I'd come back, but I wouldn't go very far out of my way to do so. read more

I will start this as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away. I stopped into Joe and Vinny's for lunch today. It was recommended by someone who said that his employees always raves about it when they passed through town. The decor was that of a small town pizza shop that had been there a while. Nothing wrong with that but nothing special about it either. It could use an update that's all. It was clean and the staff was friendly. They had good cheese pizza special's 2 slices of cheese and a soda for $4. Not bad. The other three specials were pretty good too. I ordered two specialty slices. Chicken wing and CBR ( chicken bacon ranch) the crush was excellent good ny style pizza. The chicken wing slice was lack luster. The sauce was hot wing sauce and tomato sauce and not a lot of chicken.I would have liked a little more tomato sauce and more chicken. The CBR was better, loaded with chicken and bacon. The flavors meshed well and it really hit the spot. I will stop again but will probably just go for the cheese pizza special. If your in the area and hungry for pizza it's worth a shot. This was just my opinion and from what other people have said the cheese Pisa is where it's at. read more

We walked into the restaurant, and asked for menus. While we were looking, the manager asked if we were helped. We said that we were reviewing the menu. He asked if we were dining in and we said yes. He said we could go sit and then yelled to a you girl " So and so, we have people dining in. Can you help them?" She said yes. He said "Oh that's my girl". Completely inappropriate. He continued to humiliate the women in this restaurant with the way he called them out and embarrassed them in front of customers with his loud ass mouth. Not a place I would return. On our drives up to the Adirondacks from Pennsylvania, we like to stop here for a couple of slices and, today, an eggplant parm sub. Friendly, good eats-- and makes the chains seem cold and zero fun. We enjoyed watching how the pepperoni knots are made, as a remarkably large, thin sheet of dough is flopped down, sliced, and rolled-- some days, five hundred are made. read more

Plenty of parking for this place in such a small town. The pepperoni rolls were awesome! You have the option of buying pizza by the slice or a whole pizza. Unfortunately, they add toppings to their already made cheese pizza when you buy a slice. The meatball sub was AMAZING! You get a HUGE sandwich for the small. It was 6 meatballs long. read more

My husband grew up on Joe's pizza. When we first started dating, he really built this place up. It has a sweet sauce, nice doughy crust... he was right. It definitely did not disappoint. We sometimes make the drive from Syracuse simply for this delicious pizza. Of course, we make sure to do other things while in the area... such as visit family. One item in particular has been known to invoke serious cravings (other than the pizza) and that was the garlic knots. These delicious balls of goodness, from what I'm told, are soaked in garlic butter.. warmed... and then have an added splash of garlic butter. Fattening, of course! But unbeatable. The past couple of visits, however, leave a lot to be desired. In fact, this evening (Sunday the 8th) we walked in to the high school students fumbling to answer the phone. As the young woman hung up, she thanked her co-workers for making her take the "wrath" of a customer who did not receive their whole order. Some rolled their eyes, and others tried to pass blame. When we finally finished placing our order (silly us, trying to complete our order while they tried to figure out who they could fully blame!) We sat down. Shortly after, we received our piping hot pizza. Delicious, sweet sauce and gooey cheese... and a nice, doughy crust. Absolutely delicious. That was when I too was missing an item from our order - our knots! I asked the young woman if they were still warming and she said nope, they weren't even prepared. Five minutes later, we received our order of knots. Burnt. And certainly not as fatteningly delicious as prior visits. Absolutely disappointing. The pizza gets 5 stars. Hands down. The service is horrendous and brings down the star rating. Joe really needs to take a look at his staff. As another person stated below, the staff is cold and unwelcoming. Grew up between Oxford and Sherburne. Ate a lot of Joes in high school in Sherburne. It has been a few years since eating their pizza. The memories I have are of a rather greasy cheese pizza. Well I ordered a meatball pizza to go today and was quite impressed! Meatball was extremely tasty and not very greasy at all. I have yet to find pizza anywhere in the U.S. as good as Joe's pizza. I've been to lots of pizzeria's in Manhattan and nearby cities. I spent four years living in a upscale vacation town in New England with lots of fancy pizzerias. Nothing compares to Joe's. The chicken wing pizza is my favorite. read more

Best pizza around!!! Very affordable compared to other places and extremely delicious! The customer service is phenomenal and the staff are always super friendly, going as far as to greet their regulars by name and remembering their "usuals". Never a very long wait (about what would be expected) and never too crowded. A personal favorite of mine from there is their chicken Caesar salad. Its amazing! A small is extremely filling, almost too much. Its got just the right amount of everything in it. I also have tried their subs and thoroughly enjoy those! Joe's is average. There's okay service and okay food. They don't really have much to offer for your service. Nia's here in town is better. Way better food and really have alot to offer. The owners have been making the all time classic small business mistake for years. They hire kids and let them run the place. Never a greeting and never a thank you. Cold, silent service. My friend and I had their buffalo chicken pizza. We ordered small, but it's a pretty good size. The dough itself was very nice. It had some thickness, which I liked. When you say New York pizza, I think of thin crust pizza with minimal amount of cheese. Flavor wise it might have a lot of toppings. This one on the other hand, maybe being from Central New York, had a lot of cheese and a lot of chicken. Very satisfied. read more
