Stopped in here for a quick caffeine boost and was pretty satisfied. I tried the Apple Picking Matcha - apple cinnamon matcha with apple cinnamon cold foam. It was nice level of sweetness and had good apple flavor, but the matcha isn't very strong (may be able to ask for extra matcha). My parents had the drip coffee and had good things to say. Baristas were also very accommodating and answered any questions patrons had. Overall, would return, but probably would try different independent coffee spots first.

Great stop for a quick espresso. Wouldn't necessarily dub this the best coffee around but it works!

They were super nice and let us sit when we ordered coffee here but went to get crepes next door. I did think the chai latte felt cold (I know there's milk up top), but the entire drink felt like it had been left out for a while rather than piping hot. Drinks start at 5.75 if I remember correctly and only go up from there

This is one's going to be long ! I recently visited Joe's coffee after covid I could barely make it this far. I've been a fan of Joe's since 2015 and was impressed once again with my experience. The coffee shop has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with enough of seating options for both individuals and groups. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the coffee and food options. Speaking of which, the coffee at Joe's was delicious! I tried their signature blend and it was smooth and flavorful, with just the right amount of acidity. They also have a great selection of pastries and breakfast items, which were all fresh and tasty. One thing I appreciated about Joe's was their commitment to sustainability. They use compostable cups and lids, and have recycling and compost bins available for customers to use. It's great to see a business taking steps to reduce their environmental impact. Overall, I highly recommend Joe's coffee to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and a welcoming atmosphere in NYC.

Joe Coffee Company Upper West Side was an unexpected find at the right time. I tried their drip coffee again today for this morning's coffee break. I decided to sit outside because it's a nice size space unlike the Joe Location in my neighborhood. The employees are so nice and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I finished my coffee and was on my way. I'm definitely coming back for a scone or other pastry to go. They have some unusual selections I'd still like to try. I'm recommending!

Seems like Joe is one of the only cafes to get work done in the UWS. They have outlets and free wifi. Tables are a bit small, so probably not the best if you need multiple devices/papers/notebooks out. Coffee isn't bad - it's not a local chain for nothing.

A regular at Joe Coffee on 13th near Union Square.... My first time visit to this location of upper west area on Amsterdam. Americano was slightly bland ... I should have asked for more room to make it stronger. After all, it all depends on the barista. But a nice combo with the Magnolia cupcake from across the street ^^

Efficient service whether you order in advance via the app or in person. Limited seating area but this spot is good for studying since most orders are made to-go. Solid espresso drinks and prices are on the cheaper side for NYC. Buying Joe's dark roast beans for at home brewing has been positive for me as well. What's nice about Joe's is that when you make an order and include your sweetener/cream preferences, it's mixed in properly and accurately. Water and wifi available as well.

A "large" 12 oz Latte - GH - fingers for reference of how tiny this $6+ latte is!

The baristas are talented and friendly, and the coffee is great! The rainbow scone is also magical but may put you into a diabetic coma. My only complaint is that a large coffee is only 12 oz. This is America. A large is 16 oz, at least. I don't make the rules! Also, the shop is small with minimal seating and can get cramped and hectic quickly, so always better for a grab and go situation.

I love this location! It is conveniently located off of the 123 72nd street stop. I love their espresso. It has a really rich flavor. Sometimes I feel like lattes are too milky at various coffee shops, but their lattes here have a really strong coffee flavor, which I love! If you are a coffee addict like me, definitely give this location a try! The only negative for me is that there is not a lot of seating and there is no restroom. However, they do have free Wi-Fi, so it is a good place to get work done if there is an open seat/table. I will definitely be back here in the future!

Tiny, noisy, crowded, expensive, snarky staff. The coffee is pretty good. That's the story here.

Coffee is OK. Pastries are kinda small and limited selection. Prices could be 20% lower if they ditched the precious, over done packaging.

Interior is posh and bougie with English touches. Seating is all up against the walls. Kinda odd how they decided to leave lots of empty spaces in the middle but it works. I ordered the Hickory Smoked S'mores Latte...$15 (house-made graham cracker milk with a charred vanilla marshmallow). This drink comes with a show. Lol. I liked that they called my name to the counter so I could film the barista smoke my latte with hickory in the cloche. The purpose of doing it this way is that it gives it a bolder, richer, and savory aroma. The drink was delicious especially with that gooey s'mores on top. The pastries looked yummy but I decided not to get any since I was headed to lunch. If you go on their website, you can sign up to receive 10% off your first order.
