Perfectly placed on the corner of one of West Roxbury's busy intersections, Joe's is a can't miss. We tried this place for the first time on a Sunday & was pleased with the wait time, food & service. Walking in around 10:30 am, we see nearly every table to full in the small dining area. However, we waited no longer than 5-7 minutes to be seated. We literally just got there right before a flood of people came in! The menu hosts many options between breakfast and lunch with excellent portions. While we only ordered breakfast food, their sandwiches and fries looks incredible! Genuinely, only marking down one star because I prefer fluffy pancakes & my sourdough toast had a little more of a burn to it with not enough butter. I will absolutely be coming back! My boyfriend and I come to Joe's often for brunch. We like the casual, laid back vibe, perfect for a lazy Sunday. This place is a great value because the food is delicious, the portions are generous and the prices are a bargain considering how much food you get for your dollar. Everything we have ordered off the breakfast and lunch menus is delicious. My boyfriend loves the Chicken Breast Melt for lunch and I have gotten the Chicken Breast Wrap, which is really good. For breakfast, we both like anything with the corn beef hash which Joe's is known for. Their omelets and bennys are quite tasty. The service is good, but sometimes on the slow side because it's a small restaurant and they are short staffed. Joe's don't take reservations. You just have to line up outside the door and they will seat you when a table becomes available. They offer outdoor seating, which is great in the summer! read more

plenty of parking and have outdoor seating as well. we definitely to give this place a try for brunch, was craving for some good French toast and they definitely did it. it was cinnamon brioche French toast so it definitely hit the spot. both pieces were a decent size. the first time we came here, we asked for the eggs well done so it seemed like it was real eggs that they used not the liquid type, but then the second time when we went back again, the well done eggs didnt seem like it was real scrambled eggs. definitely different types of potatoes they have comparing to other diner and the potatoes wasnt bad and wasnt dry. the crabcake Benedict was actually good. it was just right, we werent stuffed at all after brunch. read more

Five stars but bad experience. We love this place and absolutely love having the two servers on the floor. We came today on sep 26. She told us to sit at the table by the window. There was crumbs on the table so we asked for a towel. She comes to the table and uses her disinfectant spray and sprays the table and it's ricocheting off the table and it's hitting me. Idk if it was sarcastic or not but she said "Oh I'm sorry am I hitting you." And I was like "well yeah but it's fine." My partner and I look at each other as she's walking away like wtf. To be clear-she's the server without the accent and long brown hair. We have both worked in the service industry for 20 years combined and are pretty lenient and understanding and didn't feel like we were asking too much. She brought our coffees and the outside of one had a yellowish smudge. Mine had a fleck of food caked on the side. I looked at the rim of my cup and there were two spots that had lipstick. My boyfriend walked up to the counter to ask for some new cups and she asked "Oh what's wrong," and he told her they were just a little dirty and she brought us new ones and told us that when customers put silverware in them it scratches them and makes marks. We were like okay. Obviously it wasn't that but it is fine. We will come back as long as we can but beware of her! They are open during the shutdown! And they nailed it. Fast service, hot food and everything was clean. After dropping my husband off at the West Roxbury VA hospital, I was hungry. Joe's menu is on their website, so I saw the breakfast burrito and knew I had to have that in my belly. The only problem with any place that serves food with Mexican flair, they tend to use canned jalapenos. And that's a big ol' party foul! So I asked the nice woman if the jalapenos were fresh or canned. She said everything is chopped fresh, and true to her word, it was all fresh. So my belly ended up full of a nice hot burrito with eggs, cheese, avocado and fresh onions and jalapenos and it didn't give me that esophageal burning up to my tonsils. My wife and I are visiting from Tennessee. We are both breakfast connoisseurs. We are very picky when it comes to waffles especially and I can tell you these were the best flippin waffles I've ever had. Yes the Chicken pecan maple syrup contributed. The chicken was juicy and tender with a perfect crisp and taste. If you come here for breakfast please treat yourself to the chicken and waffles (and some extra syrup/gravy). I was an enthusiastic proponent of this place until today. I was by myself and they were kind of busy so I sat at the bar and ordered a burger from someone I assume to be the owner. I only assume this because the waitress took a call right in front of me and she took a message and when she showed him the message he waved her off and said oh it's just the vendor I don't have any money to give them or something like that. That made me a little nervous. He definitely has good hustle and was doing lots of things and was never idle but I made note that he pulled the trash bag out of a barrel tied it up set it aside and then put a new trash bag in the barrel and then immediately went and grabbed a glass and started pouring someone a water. That kind of skived me out. I stopped drinking my water at that point. I ordered my bacon cheeseburger with Swiss after I asked if there was an option other than cheddar. I was happy to have Swiss and ordered it that way. I also ordered it rare. I hate Wiggly french fries so I asked for crispy fries. The burger came out with cheddar cheese and cooked well done and the fries were obviously cooked not to order because I picked one up in it immediately flopped over. Looked crunchy but wasn't at all. Actually a little undercooked and Soggy all at the same time. Pretty kick ass coleslaw though. I was also given two pickle spears that tasted great but looked terrible and the lettuce that was on my burger was pretty much Brown. Really bums me out cuz I do like this place and it's near my work. I don't blame the chef at all because I looked at my ticket and there was no mention of medium rare or subbing cheddar with swiss. Usually it's the owner having to pick up the slack for half-ass employees but in this case I think the situation is reversed. The sign read, "please wait to be seated", but it was hard to even get acknowledged that we were waiting. Once someone came up, after almost 10 minutes, we were seated by (I believe) a bus person. She was friendly, took our drink order and returned with our beverages pretty quickly. It took another 10 minutes to get an actual server. We were checked on twice during our meal, which was fine, but we still felt like the place was very disorganized from a staffing perspective. Everyone was nice, but maybe too busy to hold any kind of conversation. The food was very tasty, which likely explains the crowd. My eggs were requested over medium but came with solid yolks. Minor complaint. The pancakes were thin. The French toast, INCREDIBLE! Will we go back? Maybe, maybe not. It might be worth one more shot for the food quality. read more

I went to Joe's for the first time yesterday. I will be back....often!!! The corned beef hash benedict was sooooo good. The corned beef hash was homemade, no canned junk. The breakfast potatoes included were also delicious. I sampled the cinnamon brioche and that was also so good. The waitress and other workers there were so nice. Just had the best Eggs Benedict with crunchy Crab Cakes on top of grilled English Muffin,(also very crunchy!!! YUMMY!) The coffee was delicious! The waitstaff were very attentive (without being intrusive), and they anticipated my needs/desires before I even knew about them myself. For example, I brought a 3 year old boy to eat there. He loves to color and he's very active. We went to the restroom before sitting down. When we returned to the table, the waiter had already put down coloring sheets and crayons for him. As anyone who has ever brought a young child to a restaurant knows, keeping little kids busy is crucial if you actually want to eat your food while it's still HOT! The seats were comfortable whether regular seats or high seats. The staff is friendly and willing to make your dining experience a pleasant one. I ordered spinach and avocado eggs Benedict whole my partner chose chicken and waffles. It is a small cafe, but a popular joint, so the wait expanded my "hangry" mode. Yes, it's "hangry" and not hungry, dammit. When the food did arrive, the presentation left me with more desire to shove it in my mouth. Placement is important, people, and Joe's 320 Cafe mastered that talent. I enjoyed the slices of potatoes and avocado combo. It's amazing. I loved that the English muffin under my bed of spinach and egg was not soggy (score!). To top it off, it had sriracha hollandaise sauce. Sriracha, people! It made eat additional bite that more satisfying for me. My partner reported his waffles being delicious and while he felt the chicken lacked some flavor, the combination of waffle, syrup and gravy within those bites made him forget. It's a nice treat. Joe's is walking distance from my house. It was the first restaurant I went to when I moved to the area. It's so great living next to a diner and even better that the food is fantastic. I keep saying i want to try more things but every time I go i order french toast. My table has ordered other things so I've gotten the chance to taste a few other things but the French toasts will always be a requirement for me. One time I went I had to wait a bit but most times there is a table that opens relatively quickly. read more

The ONLY reason I didn't finish all my food was because I possibly couldn't. I don't even like French toast - and this was phenomenal. The pancakes were some of the BEST I've ever had.
