This is the best body shop in the DMV! Someone hit my car and drove off while my car was parked on…read morethe street. Total Recon made the whole process so easy! I dropped my car off and was given a rental. They took care of all the negotiations with the insurance company and kept me informed the whole way. They only use OEM replacement parts and the results were fantastic! The detail job they did was also terrific. I always take my car here and recommend them to anyone that needs body work done!

I had a very disappointing and frankly frightening experience with Total Recon. My 2014 Tesla Model…read moreS was towed here on October 3, 2025, after an accident. They gave me a repair estimate of $17,335.18 on October 15, which seemed reasonable, and I assumed work was being done. For over two months, I waited with no updates. Suddenly, on December 5, they emailed demanding the loaner back immediately and threatened a police report for "failure to return a rental vehicle." I called their rep (Alfonso), who said he would extend the loaner--he never followed up. That evening, the loaner was remotely disabled (Valet Mode) while I was driving, stranding me overnight in 20°F snowy/rainy weather on a busy DC street. I had to pay for towing myself to avoid freezing. The next morning (December 6), they called police (Rockville and Prince George's County), claiming I failed to return the rental. They also told officers my Florida license was "fake" or fraudulent. Police cleared me immediately. I repeatedly explained my disabilities (immune-compromised, OCD, ADHD, anxiety) and asked for accommodations to get my medication and belongings from the loaner (less than ¼ mile away at a friend's house). They refused and left me stranded without transportation or meds ever since. Now they demand over $14,000 in storage/rental fees--almost as much as the repair estimate--yet no work was ever done on my car. I have video, emails, bills, and records. This was unsafe, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Avoid if you value safety and clear communication.

Excellent service from drop off to completion. Convenient relationship for access to rental car…read more Auto was like new upon pick up!

I normally don't leave reviews, but out of all the experiences I've had with insurance claims and…read moreauto body repairs, this was by far the worst. I took my 2021 Audi Q5 to Caliber Collision for body work after a hit and run. The damage was to the driver-side door, mirror, and wheel fender. I dropped the car off on September 29th and was notified on October 17th that it was ready for pickup. Upon receiving the vehicle, I immediately noticed the replacement fender was the wrong part and did not fit correctly (visible overlap), paint bubbles on the driver door, scratches on the newly painted door, the interior was still dirty and had soap residue left on the leather seats, despite being told the car was washed, and scratches on the mirror. Shortly after, I received a customer survey from Caliber that I answered honestly based on the repairs. My adjuster, Josue, then contacted me and asked me to bring the vehicle back so they could reevaluate the work. When I arrived, both the adjuster and manager were waiting and apart from acknowledging the quality issues, my adjuster expressed that he was upset with my survey responses in front of his manager. He told me I should have let him "handle it," essentially gaslighting me for giving truthful feedback instead of addressing the poor repairs. I left the vehicle again and was told repairs couldn't be completed because the correct part was back-ordered. It is now January 9th, I have called multiple times and have received no updates, no timeline, and no returned calls. The same adjuster who was upset about the survey has now ignored my calls twice. At this point, I was forced to involve my insurance again and have been reassigned to a new body shop to fix the mistakes Caliber Collision made. This has been the most frustrating experience I've had dealing with an auto body repair facility and I would not recommend this location to anyone especially if you expect your vehicle returned in pre-loss condition.
