Worst dining experience we have had. The service was awful! Our waitress acted like it was killing her to bring out our drinks 20 minutes after we sat down and then it took 30 minutes to get our food. The food was stale and cold. The bread was so hard I couldn't eat it and the crab legs were hollow. The waitress did not do any of the special things for us at our 4 person table because she was too busy trying to get a tip from her bigger table. This restaurant is very good for large groups with kids. The staff was urgent in seating our party of 12. We weren't able to make reservations and we didn't have to wait long at all so it was much appreciated. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and even suggested the Cajun seasoning for my queen crab boil (spicy but not too hot). My husband ate the Cedar grilled salmon and said it was very good as well. Great experience and the food was awesome! We went on the Saturday before Valentine's Day. Naturally the wait was going to be long. So we called ahead and they put our name on the waiting list. In the meantime we went to the outlets and did some shopping until our table was ready (about an hour). The service here was amazing! I tried the Joe's Classic Pot which had some of the juiciest crab meat I've ever had. Al-in-all this is one of the better restaurant experience I've ever had. read more

Just got blood work test results back and found that my cholesterol level is WAY too high so I am trying to learn what to eat that may bring those numbers down. It is hard enough at home but eating out while on vacation is a real struggle when you are trying to eat healthy!! Trying to avoid red meat, we decided sea food would be a good option. Everyone we encountered at Joe's Crab Shack was so friendly and nice. They made you feel very welcome. I told our waitress, Shandra, about my health issues and she recommended I have the salmon. My previous experiences with salmon have not been very appetizing, but she assured me this would be good tasting as well as being good for me. I went with her suggestion and am very glad I did!! The salmon was fantastic and did not have a fishy taste at all. My husband ordered fried fish and shrimp and said his meal was good also. I would definitely recommend Joe's Crab Shack to everyone. We were displaced from gaitlinburg Tennessee after the fire came through last night. We are here for dinner this was the worst food I've ever had at a Joe's Crab Shack. My boyfriend had a fish sandwich and he bun was stale she brought out another bun but he had to assemble it himself. For the price you pay here they should have brought him s whole new sandwich. I had a combo meal. The crab cake tasted so fishing I had to spit it out. The fish wasn't any better. I tried the back. Wrapped shrimp and that wasn't very good either. Not sure what this place is doing but it needs something. My Diet Coke was flat and the bartender looked at me like what do you want me to do about it I certainly would like someone to contact me in regards to this matter. read more

We wanted seafood at an affordable price and this location did not disappoint! Excellent food, quick service, and our server Wendy was awesome! She suggested we do the steampot for two which included snow crab, dungeness crab, shrimp, and all the sides. It was the most delicious crab i have eaten in a very long time. The mason jar margaritas are also excellent. Its an incredibly kid friendly place as well. My daughter loved her Captains catch kid meal. Not impressed, the shrimp was over cooked rubbery and hard to peel, after getting the order wrong which was replaced with the correct order, the check came with both the incorrect and correct orders charged which took forever to have corrected by the manager whom never acknowledged the mistake, If your going to spend your money on seafood from a large chain restaurant go to red lobster at least Darden try's to be consistent with there food and service. read more

I left one star simply because the crab and the slaw was actually pretty good. Those are both hard to mess up even though they tried hard. If you go please avoid the waiter Jacob. Was 25 minutes between sitting down and him taking our order, then per the time stamp it was another 10 for him to put our order in. At first the waitress tried to tell me that that's what I asked for then she asked me if just re-doing my order and bringing it out after everyone in my party is done eating would be "ok." I don't know motherfucker, was 9/11 "ok?" Then she tried to give me a commemorative mason jar to take home as consolation. Several friends and I were on vacation in the Gatlinburg, TN area. We tried eating at this restaurant on Sunday, 11-12-17 and our waitress was the only good thing about this experience, Yikes! We ordered our meals with an appetizer. Generally, an appetizer is before the meal...not here! About 10 to 15 minutes into our dining experience we got our salads. We grabbed another waiter and he took our salads back rather confused; not sure what that was about??? Then we proceeded to wait another 30 to 35 minutes and still no appetizer let alone our main meals! Our waitress did keep checking on the appetizer and kept telling us it should be just a few more minutes, just a few more minutes...I have a feeling we would still be hearing "just a few more minutes" if we had stayed.
