Crab-tivated in the Smokies! Listen, I didn't come to Sevierville expecting to have a near-religious seafood experience--but Joe's Crab Shack baptized me in butter, and I saw the light. From the second we walked in, it felt like we stepped into a beach party thrown by pirates with Southern hospitality. The staff? Hilarious and friendly--like if your favorite cousin also knew how to carry six trays of seafood at once and still crack a joke. You don't just get a meal here--you get a whole vibe. Let's talk food: We ordered the Steampot for Two, but I swear it could've fed a small village or at least two people who don't eat like competitive crab-eating champions (which we clearly are). Crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn--it was like Poseidon himself packed us a picnic. And yes, I wore a bib. No shame. Things got messy in the best way. The best part? We sat outside with a mountain view that said, "Hey, you're in Tennessee," while the crab said, "Yeah, but your taste buds are on vacation." Bottom line: if you like great seafood, fun vibes, and the chance to feel like a crab-cracking champion with butter on your face and joy in your heart--Joe's Crab Shack is your place. Warning: You will leave full. You may leave wearing part of your meal. And you'll definitely be planning your next visit before you hit the parking lot.

Love the decor & love the staff, they are such a vibe! Friendly and will make you feel like you are at home. Food was great, you definitely get huge portions. Will definitely recommend to our friends and family.

Combo meal: fish, shrimp two ways, and a fried(?)Crab cake.

This won't be pleasant! We came here specifically for one of the gals on our girls trip who wanted crab legs - craving them. Large restaurant with plenty of parking area, it had a waiting line, so must be good right? I ordered a dinner that included fish, crab cake, fried shrimp, and a bacon wrapped shrimp that had fries and a small coleslaw. Fish - hammered, and tasted like it had been sitting around. Crab cake - it was fried? No taste of crab, just fried filler. Popcorn shrimp - no complaints per se, just tasted like a frozen, pre breaded shrimp you can get from any food court. Bacon wrapped shrimp - best thing on the plate but the shrimp were overcooked. This meal was made even more dreadful considering the price! But the topping to this awful culinary experience was my friend's crab was so over cooked you had to literally peel the meat - in shreds mind you - to get it out because it adhered to the shell. Joe's Crab Shack should be ashamed serving it! It's in your name for heaven sakes! I begged her to send it back, but all the cooked items were just poorly done, we chalked it up to a very expensive lesson learned. The 2 star rating only took into consideration my meal and since I did eat the shrimp I added a star. We will not be back.

Joes crab boil in rajin Cajun

Great boil, got the rajin Cajun and it was a little spicy. Served in a boil bag and opened at the table. Nice presentation.

    The Cajun seafood platter

After trying multiple restaurants in the area for a party of 10, my family and I decided to stroll into the old faithful, Joe's Crab Shack. There was a short wait, but we were greeted warmly by the host and seated even sooner than the quoted time. Our waitress, Danielle, was pleasant, attentive, friendly, and truly went above and beyond with her customer service. My mom, sister, and I ordered the seafood boil platters and, to my surprise, they were delicious. We also had the oysters rockefeller which was really good.

    Just enjoying Joe's Crab Shack!

You are going to get apple fritters, applewood juleps, and soup, on the house before you even order! He told us you should dip the fritter in the apple butter, then take a drink of the julep to get the best flavors! The fritters were so good, I was actually already full after them and the soup but..... I had the Country Chicken Salad for my entree. I may have also tasted the Mac and cheese, and the mashed potatoes! Yum to everything! Everyone was so completely full after the meal. Come here hungry! The whole restaurant was adorable and right outside are many more fun apple-themed stores to visit!

I wanted to like the place a lot more than I did, but it had some serious drawbacks. This restaurant is set up like an old farmhouse with wooden chairs, tables, and floors. There is nothing to deaden the noise, so the place is very loud and uncomfortable. My wife couldn't wait to get out of the place. I ordered the smokehouse sampler which comes with two eggs, sugar cured ham, bacon, sausage, gravy, biscuit, grits, and potatoes. With all of that listing, you would expect a lot of food. It wasn't. I felt like there should have been more on my plate for that much money. Oh, well. Lesson learned. My wife had the biscuits and gravy with bacon which was fine. The food that we received was fine, but nothing special. Our server was nice, but she spoke so softly that I could not hear her over all of the noise. She also had to be prompted multiple times to bring a refill. All in all, this place was a real turn-em and burn-em kind of loud place that we probably won't return to.

We were greeted and seated promptly in a lovely little alcove near their patio, the perfect spot for old friends catching up. Our server, Olivia, was phenomenal, offering insight and recommendations into their seasonal menu items. We started with cocktails and appetizers. We loved the Roasted Beet Salad and Crab Bisque. Deee-licious! We then moved on to our entrees: Filet mignon (prepared Medium) w/caramelized onions & garlic mashed potatoes. The filets were seasoned and cooked perfectly - melt in your mouth, oh soooo good! Prime rib steak sandwich with caramelized onions & melt cheese. Opted for a side of grilled zucchini instead of fries. Also a big hit with our friend. I chose the night's feature dish of halibut and couscous. Nicely prepared and delicious. Though we didn't have room for dessert, once Olivia brought the dessert tray by, we quickly made room! My husband chose the Blueberry Bread Pudding. Of course I had to taste! I'm typically am not a fan of bread puddings due to being heavy and somewhat gummy! This one was absolutely light, and yummy allowing the blueberries to shine. Our friends shared the NY cheesecake with fresh strawberries. Also, light, fluffy and delicious! I chose the key lime pie with toasted coconut sprinkled on top. Incredibly good with light tartness though I prefer more tart. Still, it ranks up there as one of the best I've found. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails, food, ambiance, decor, and our server, Olivia. Ample portions, reasonable/comparable pricing, and delicious/creative menu. Bravo, Seasons 101! Bravo!! P.S. They also have a lovely outdoor dining area, if you so desire.

Breakfast is the highlight, with hearty plates of omelets, hashbrowns, and biscuits with gravy that taste just right. On weekends they even put out a breakfast bar, and those little mini biscuits brushed with sweet cinnamon butter are worth the trip alone. The dining room has its own personality too, complete with a truck parked inside that somehow feels fun rather than gimmicky. Service is warm and easygoing, adding to the laid-back atmosphere. When I visited, I grabbed a chai latte from the coffee shop next door since they don't serve specialty drinks here, and nobody batted an eye. That kind of neighborly vibe sums up the place perfectly. It is casual, filling, and just a little quirky in the best way. If you are nearby and craving a solid breakfast before or after a country drive, it is absolutely worth stopping in.

The young African-American lady in the front. I don't know her name who is the hostess was absolutely delightful. The breakfast buffet was not the best either. They had French toast sticks that you buy at the grocery store as the French toast on the buffet. If they put a little bit more attention into the food, this place would be great.
