Everyone should try their super hard-to-find Chihuahua. Otherwise, you'll have to drive clear to the Lamesa Drive-In and travel backwards in time to get your fix. I'll make this easy....I don't recommend this place. If you want to read more, is probably just me complaining. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because it's a cute place, but I don't go back just because it's a cute place, I go back for the food. Now, in terms of food, it's just generic. Nothing special about the food at all. It's not the worst, hence 2 stars but nothing I would remember. If you have the choice to sit inside or outside on a hot day, most people chose inside. Don't. Just had a delicious breakfast outside at Joe's with the family. I had the crunchy French toast with strawberries and whipped cream, and couldn't finish it. Fortunately my husband and my niece came to my rescue. My husband had an avocado, ham and tomato omelette, which he promptly devoured. Both my nieces ordered bennies, and thoroughly enjoyed them. The free grits were a nice bonus, as they were something we wouldn't normally order, but added a little salt and butter and we enjoyed them too. I will be returning here again for sure! read more

Yummy comfort food! I got the Sample Platter with a slice of meatloaf, serving of pot roast, mashed potatoes and all covered in gravy! It was well worth $12.99. The veggie of the day was broccoli, nothing special about it and a so so biscuit. They also bring a side of grits for free if requested. Next time I will do that. 3.9 STARS! A dive/diner for sure. Won't find culinary cuisine but the prices are fair and worth stopping in for an affordable, edible meal. The service is basic. Not so friendly but they probably don't get good tips either. I tip well though. Remember, this is a diner and not an expensive breakfast bistro you'll find in a classy, hipster, metro-subdivision. FOOD: The french toast was over cooked, not burnt but browned and limp, not crisp. Add fresh pecans and strawberries. The eggs were not fluffy and needed a little salt and pepper but you can always add your own as they keep the eggs basic for everyone to season to their liking. The bacon was way over cooked, nuked almost. The Canadian bacon was nothing to talk about but it wasn't burnt. The biscuits and gravy hit and missed. The gravy had a little too much fat (that's what makes them good, I know.) The consistency of the gravy is something like oatmeal so if you like it thick and chunky then this gravy is for you. The biscuit is not fluffy so I doubt it's fresh but it was still tasty. The coffee was yucky as my wife says. It's ground fresh daily so I guess she just was one of the few who didn't enjoy these fresh grounds. The hot tea was basic (many options given in a cup) but it's great they offer it. Solid all-american diner. They line up for breakfast on the weekends because of the good food and large portions. I especially like their homemade sausage gravy over biscuits with two eggs on top. I can never finish it and two people could certainly split the order. They have a great staff and even if you see a dozen people waiting out front they usually turn the tables over at a good pace. They have great french toast and lunch time is usually just as crowded. They have some outdoor seating on the southside of the building. Parking is at a premium. read more

I've been to Joe's diner three times the food is good but I had the disturbing experience with the owner of Joe's diner I was sitting in my table with my family ..my two kids were there !!! We could hear the owner yelling at the waitresses rude things that my kids should not be hearing The things he was saying to the waitresses I wouldn't even want to mention the things he was saying they were very bad ! on called for !!!! I've never Heard someone specially the owner yelling and saying thing that is on called for !! I think joe's diner is a hostile work environment !! I think someone should Look into the law for that that would be the last time we Go there it made our breakfast the worst ever don't recommend!!!! Very small place. Tables are cramped very close together. Servers are rude. No thank you. I will spend my money someplace else. Edit review: Our original visit was during high season. We gave the place another try during the summer. The server was nicer and the owner let my husband step back into the prep area to say hello. The food is actually pretty good. This used to be the best place for breakfast and lunch. Now with the new owners they are destroying the menu and restaurant, all of the favorite dishes of Joes are now being replaced or removed. The sausage gravy and biscuits were hands down the best around, now they aren't even edible. Pancakes and French toast was changed among other items and they don't taste good anymore. New owners took several pages away from the menu, including 2-2-2 (2-eggs, 2-choice of meat, 2- pancakes or French toast) they have all the ingredients why take that away? I don't understand why the new owners have to come in and change the menu when everything was working and delicious. The line was always out the door, now there's no line. Extremely sad they couldn't leave the restaurant alone and let it thrive on its own. The prices have gone up, even way after the hike of inflation went up. The locals want Joes back! New owners "the sauce lady" you have officially destroyed the best breakfast restaurant in town and running it into the ground, congrats. read more

Found this by accident en route to Del-Wiggins pass state park. Solid BLT and all food was cooked to my request. Found a seat right away, server friendly and fast. An ok selection of alcoholic beverages. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the modest but enjoyable patio! read more

Me and my boyfriend were visiting from out of town and were staying in Naples for the weekend. We looked up local diners in the area and joes was the first one that popped up and it had great reviews so we decided to try it out. The atmosphere was soo cute and quaint and all of the waitresses were so nice and had great customer service skills. The menu is HUGEE and there were so many options to chose from they also have breakfast and lunch all day and serve mimosas. We loved it so much we went on Saturday and Sunday as well and sat at the cute bar they have in the middle. Our waitress Sunday I believe was named birdie and she was so delightful and sweet and made our experience great. I usually don't leave reviews unless it was an exceptional experience or terrible experience but this diner is exceptional and we were so glad we got the chance to try it :) also make sure to get the spicy fries !! Had breakfast here with the family not too long ago. The atmosphere is very homey and cute. The walls are all decorated with old pictures and it has a nice feel. Most ordered different kinds of omelettes that they were all satisfied with; I'm probably the only one that didn't enjoy their meal. I ended up filling up on my mom's rye toast instead. I ordered the fruit crepes which came with all of the "bells and whistles" if you will...which I could have completely done without. The crepes were topped with those gross strawberries that come packaged in red sugar liquid, along with cantaloupe, canned tangerines, blueberries, and watermelon. The fruit didn't taste all that fresh, and the syrup they dumped all over the crepes was just gross. I prefer fresh fruit with crepes, with out any liquids. Watch out for the fish. If you google it you will find it is a Very cheap endangered Vietnamese fish that is called iridescent. It was a pile of mush. also never get your food in the basket. The paper had red checks on it and the red dye transfers on all the food. I don't think it is very healthy to be eating dye.... we asked the waitress and with attitude she said she has been telling the owner for years and he doesn't care. She didn't seem to be happy with her job and it really effected our time. Also we asked her what she eats here and she made a face saying she doesn't eat there and couldn't recommend anything. Also, The waitresses were fighting about their shifts behind the counter bar... Place was kind of dirty too maybe that's the charm? Too bad. Very disappointing. read more

It's a 50's themed place that is small so I would not go there during season (I'm guessing long wait). This visit I didn't have to wait at all. The menu has many choices. It was a great experience.
