    Chilli and burgers
    Amanda S.

We came here on a weekend for a late lunch so it wasn't that busy. They have an extensive menu. I think it's hard to go wrong with a burger and chilli. The burger was cooked through and loaded with thick sliced pickles, lettuce and tomatoes. The tator tots were freshly fried. The beef chilli is loaded with beef and beans - the temperature could have been warmer. I almost wanted to see if they would throw it in the microwave for another minute or so. Service was okay - it was only one server so they were a bit overextended.

JD is a funky retro diner where it seems many are regular customers. Today was our first time. We went for breakfast. It can get a bit noisy inside when full and customers have their caffeine kicking in. There is seating outside, weather permitting. Emily was our friendly, attentive server. We had a Natural/Veggie Omlette and Cheese Blintzes with two eggs, and of course tea and coffee. A lot of tasty food at reasonable prices. That is why JD is so popular.

Service was great. When you walk in you get told to sit where ever you feel comfortable. The husband and I sat at a table that rocked, the lady said she would get something for it, she didn't. The hubs ended up fixing it with a folded napkin, no biggie. My eggs were yummy and fluffy my toast looked slightly burned and wasn't, it's just wheat toast. I hated the blueberry pancake. The compote was gross and the berries acidic. The grits were very tasty. The inside is is small. You can tell they have regulars. There was a dog inside with a family, it was quiet and didn't bark.

Veggie omelette, hash browns and buttered rye toast.

Would highly recommended Joe's Diner. It's a cozy restaurant decorated with a 50's diner theme, music and all. Loved it. Our breakfast was picture perfect and tasted great. The omelette was light and fluffy. The hash browns were nice and crisp the way I like them. The server was excellent; friendly and very attentive. Would highly recommend dining here for breakfast or lunch. You won't be disappointed.

Grabbed a quick lunch here on the way back to the airport. Got an outdoor table on a beautiful afternoon. I got a burger and crinkle fries. Coke from the tap. All good. They serve breakfast all day which I love but already had a huge pancake breakfast that morning so opted for lunch. Tons of hot sandwiches to choose from. Servers were friendly with an extra 'hon' added on occasion. Good stop.

The perfect dinner for breakfast, great prices, too much food, and great atmosphere. I had the omelet is was perfect. Gotten free bread too. It's got a old fashioned vibe. Quick service. You will not be disappointed.

Joe's Diner is a wonderful place to have breakfast and lunch. Locally owned and operated by friendly and experienced wait staff. There is parking in the front but if you have a big car it is better to park in the rear with ample parking space. Inside dining can be crowded but there is a nice breeze area outside with outdoor tables. This diner is clean, cozy and decorated with memorabilia along with checkered vinyl tablecloths. Menu is Large and well organized so you might not need your reading glasses! Today, for lunch, I have Jose's Chili Huevos Rancheros and wife ordered a Reuben sandwich. The corned beef with sauerkraut, cheese, Thousand Island dressing grilled just right with marble rye bread. The sweet potato fries added another dimension to made this delicious meal! My Jose's Chili Huevos Rancheros has all the right ingredient, spinach tortilla, chili, cheeses and two eggs. Some time, I added a little Tabasco sauce for extra heat. But the mixture of tortilla, chili, cheeses and eggs are so savory I just hesitate to make any change! Excellent service, great food, easy on the wallet; the best diner in Naples.

My Huevos Rancheros this morning. Took half home. Soo good.

My Huevos Rancheros this morning. Took half home. Soo good. Someone anonymously treated Dottie and I this morning. A great act of kindness. 10/25/21. Our bill was at least $30. We were very touched. There were about 30 people in the place. Didn't recognize anyone. Before we left, we announced it to all and thanked whoever it was. We were very grateful. A nice memory!

If you just want heart warming, solid, affordable comfort breakfast, come to joes. I feel like that's enough said, but I'll continue. When you walk in your instantly teleported to a real 1950's diner. The decor, the chairs, the feel, the coffee, all spot on. Now as for food, the options are endless and very affordable. The quality of food is also spot on, and homemade. And last the service is quick. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone in the area over one of the more "main stream" commercial options.

Sounded good, so I ordered my favorite, a Cosmo, no call brands of liquor. As our dinner progressed, server came back to remind us that it was still happy hour so I ordered a second Cosmo. Imagine my surprise when I was presented a check with 2 Cosmos, at FULL PRICE PLUS AN ADDITIONAL SURCHARGE. Server then said martinis were not on happy hour. Seems like she could have explained that. Fast forward a year later and our dining group meets there again. This time I arrive early and go straight to the bar so that I can verify the happy hour policy. The bartender confirms that martinis are not on happy hour then explains that the additional surcharge is because a Cosmo has a splash of cranberry juice, so it's martini price plus. Never heard this before. I cheaped out and ordered a house pinot grigio. Regarding food, the visit a year ago was profoundly disappointing. That entree was described as pasta with a lobster tail. I expected to see a lobster tail but there were just a couple of very tiny pieces of supposed lobster tail that must have come from a just hatched lobster. Thankfully, the food served a few days ago was much better. The American Redfish entree was good enough to order again, if I were ever to go back.

Passed by a burger place, ice cream shop and others arriving at Bicyclette. Receptionist greeted me warmly as I entered and asked if I could have a meal at the bar - no problem. Sat down and (on a Monday at 5:15 no less) had a delicious meal served by Adolfo who was attentive but not pushy. I tried their prix fixe menu - enjoying the eggplant dip with artichoke tostones ( I kid you not ) followed by a branzino grilled well with the most delicious yellow sauce both full of flavor and a hit of tartness. Okay, so, I'm done...well, don't forget dessert chimes in Adolfo; and, I relent. They make their own vanilla ice cream then sprinkle it with some herb, sea salt and....wait for it...Olive Oil. I won't say I liked it but I almost had to smoke a cigarrette after tasting it. The dessert, by the way, was served by the owner Louie who was rightfully quite proud of his recent Michelin Star rating ( "the only one in Naples" ). Upon back at the hotel I made mention to two guests who were just arriving as I'm now a Bicylette evangelist. Try it - I think you'll definitely love it.

The service was friendly throughout the meal, but everything moved surprisingly slowly, from ordering to receiving the food. We tried the salad, burger, and lamb kebabs. The salad and burger were decent but nothing particularly memorable. The lamb kebabs were unfortunately the biggest disappointment of the meal. They were quite salty and the meat was much tougher than expected, making them difficult to enjoy. Overall, the restaurant makes a good first impression with its ambiance and welcoming service, but the food did not quite match the setting. While the experience wasn't terrible, I'm not sure there was enough to make me eager for a second visit.

Long before it was on food network. The food? Immaculate. Never once had an issue. Today? Today changed everything. Our waitress was an angel, no notes, we love her. We're sitting there, happy, sipping our coffee, not even an hour into the meal, barely finished eating, when suddenly a completely different server materializes out of nowhere and just... puts her hands. On the WHOLE top, every inch of the top half of our coffee cups. Mid sip energy. And starts trying to take it. This was our FIRST ever interaction with this woman. First words exchanged. We say, simply: "we are just going to finish our coffees." She hears us. Denies it. And grabs the cups anyway. I look up like excuse me?? And she looks at me, dead in the eye, and goes: "Well aren't you done?" MA'AM. NO. We were NOT done. We hadn't even finished writing the tip on the receipt which, by the way, she then just SNATCHES off the table. Gone. Like a magic trick nobody asked for, and I certainly didn't order. I say, still not finished. And this is where it gets unhinged, because she goes: "well there's a wait." A wait?? For WHAT. There were FOUR tables open inside. EIGHT tables open outside. Not a single soul waiting for a seat. She said it like she was reading off a script from a restaurant that was actually busy, which plot twist it was not. Then, and I need you to picture this, she starts REACHING ACROSS ME. Full arm extension. Into my personal space. Grabbing plates. Grabbing cutlery. I am frozen. I do not know this woman. She does not know me. And yet here we are, inches apart, over a fork. Questioning if I should ask for her last health test results because we are sharing breaths like a horror movie. My companion, sensing the unhingedness of the woman gets up to go find our ACTUAL waitress, the good one, because at this point all we want in this world is to finish our coffee, leave our 30% tip (we were being SO generous, we do not play like that), and say thank you like normal diners. But does the story end there? IT DOES NOT. Because as my companion is trying to talk to our sweet waitress, coffee cup snatcher strikes again and BUTTS IN. Not once. Multiple times. Interrupting my companion mid-sentence, over and over, like she just could not let the woman finish a single thought. Louder. Meaner. Full attitude, unprompted, uninvited, unwell, unhinged. Our actual waitress, bless her, is apologizing over and over, offers us brand new coffees, offers to reseat us like nothing happened. And she was so genuinely kind about it that we almost said yes. Almost. But we were both so shaken by that point that we just... left. And the WILDEST part? This woman was TRAINING someone. Actively. In real time. Passing the torch. Teaching the next generation how to traumatize brunch customers over a coffee cup. We love The Rooster. But that experience? Left a mark. I'll send you my therapy bill Roosters.

-- A Rooftop Gem Where You Feel Like Family…read more I'll be upfront -- I have social anxiety, and crowds can be genuinely overwhelming for me. My first evening up at Tigress's rooftop, I walked into a packed house with no reservation, and it was simply too much. Rather than give up, I called the restaurant shortly before close and asked about reserving a table for the following night. Just one person. What happened next genuinely surprised me. They were absolutely fabulous. Not only did they accommodate me without hesitation, they reserved me a spot in the bar area and had it ready the moment I arrived. The second I stepped off that elevator, I was greeted by name, welcomed warmly, and made to feel like I belonged there. It wasn't a restaurant experience -- it was a Cheers experience. You know the show. That's exactly what it felt like. Service was prompt and attentive from the start. My drink order was taken and delivered quickly, and when I asked for a menu recommendation, the staff guided me toward their signature crab fried rice -- and I am so glad they did. This dish is unlike anything I've had at any Thai restaurant, and I've had crab fried rice at quite a few. The blend of ingredients Tigress uses is truly special. Every element comes together in a way that feels almost magical. Worth every single penny. I've seen a few complaints about pricing, but when you consider the quality of ingredients that must go into this dish and the skill required to execute it -- the price is more than fair. Sincere applause to the entire staff for their grace and kindness. A standing ovation to the chef on duty that evening, and deep gratitude to the executive chef who curated this menu. And special recognition to the bar team -- their craft cocktails are clearly designed to complement the food beautifully. I will absolutely be back. Tigress has earned a loyal guest.
