We ordered some catering items since we were feeding a group of 20. We got a large chicken Alfredo, a large lasagne, a large salad with ranch and tomato basil vinaigrette, and a tray of garlic knots. I really enjoyed everything and was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was for a local Italian joint. I liked the chicken Alfredo better than the lasagne and I'm normally not a chicken Alfredo person. It wasn't too rich and there was a good amount of chicken. The tomato basil vinaigrette was fire!! It was so good and it went so well with the salad. The garlic knots were delicious as well! I wish all the pieces had a ton of garlic on them cause I'm a garlic lover. I also wish they provided marinara sauce with the knots but they were still delicious without them. Will have to try the pizza next time! read more

Local family owned joint. Classic everything, worth the price. It a good old fashion American/Italian joint. Try it. Great family business On the pizza only. One bite 6.5. Cheese-ie heavy, lite on the sauce, crust is real deal but bread heavy It's a heavy pie... My opinion, a little less cheese, a bit more punch with the sauce, 30-45 seconds more in the oven get it a little more crispy tighten the top up. I didn't feel the love for the pizza, that family love for pie I get it, it's a business. But if you do food you got to it with a love for the Pie. The food is solid. Got take out tortellini and pizza. I enjoyed the pasta, it was super tasty, and loved that there was more than enough sauce so I could dip my bread that came with the dish! The pizza, in my opinion, is the best we have had so far. read more

My husband and I have always enjoyed Joe's. The food is always delicious and generous portions. We took our grandson and the waiters were very attentive. Spumoni ice cream was huge treat! He even got 2 lollipops on the way out. Definitely recommend this family friendly restaurant read more

So I am a big One Bite fan so with that I am searching for great pizza in Dallas. I have found a few good ones but NOTHING like New Haven or NY style that measures up. I tried this location of Joe's based on the reviews bypassing the one by my house and I will say that it did not disappoint. One Bite would review this at about a 7.1 if that means anything to you. The crust is a little soft, little greasy, with medium flop. Sauce is average, no tang. I would pick this one out of ANY local chains and over most artisan spots. I also got the meatball sub and it was REALLY good. Being from New England I can say this sub is on par with the average grinder in Connecticut. read more

I'm giving 4 stars because my 14" was not a New York pizza. I only got cheese but it was too doughy for me. I will say I have been eating on the Tour of Italy for 3 days. OMG so good! I almost went back today to get just the stuffed shells in Alfredo. I've been so tired of the chains. Nice find! read more

Fantastic!! My wife and I were on 75 when we were looking for pizza by the slice. My wife found Joes and what an outstanding surprise! We ending up have the lunch special and it was delicious and came with a side salad and garlic bread knots. And make sure and get the Raspberry iced tea, you'll be glad you did. I was so impressed with how clean "everything" was. and i noticed that the salt and pepper shakers and the cheese and pepper shakers were full ON EVERY TABLE. please make an effort to stop in for lunch or dinner.... Every so often you find that "best" restaurant. Best burger, in Bluff Dale. Best German, in Plano. I just found my best Italian in Plano. It's 9 pm and a lot of places are closed. At Joe's Pasta & Pizza, you can tell by the decor that they have been here for a while. Our server was awesome. Knew the menu inside and out. Shrimp Diablo uses marinara, but I wanted Cajun Alfredo. No problem. We started with garlic cheese bread. When I dipped the bread in the marinara sauce, something magical happened. This is the BEST marinara sauce I have ever had. I couldn't stop till every bite was gone. There was an ingredient I still haven't figured out yet, but I wanted to lick the bowl! This appetizer is a must. When the Shrimp Diablo Alfredo was set in front of me, it looked normal. Apparently, the cook can read minds, because this is exactly how I wanted it. The perfect spiciness. The server had offered me so red pepper flakes, but I didn't need them. Extremely creamy, but not soupy. The shrimp was grilled perfectly. Mike raved about his chicken Alfredo, and that's unusual! Tried this place based on the reviews. I had the Joe's special. Tried the chocolate canolli and tiramisu. The ingredients where fresh. The pizza was thin and true to NY style. I normally like to have Parmesan sprinkled. They did not offer any and I forgot to ask. I actually did not miss it on this pizza. If I could give it a 3 1/2 I would. It is not the most gourmet pizza but it is a good choice. I would try them again for sure. The price was not bad either. The desserts where both on point and worth ordering. read more

Grabbed a couple slices for lunch. I got one slice of cheese and 1 slice of pepperoni both were a tad crispy on the bottom not soggy like some places. The complimentary rolls are a nice touch but nothing too special. The place is bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. This would be a nice place for a large group to come. read more

If you're looking for a mom-and-pop shop, this definitely fits the bill. My husband eats dinner here every week with one of his volunteer organizations. It's unusual for him to have a place that he's willing to eat at week after week, but Joe's offers enough variety to keep him from feeling bored or overly pizza'd. Speaking of pizza, he's brought home a pizza or two for me to have and it's pretty darn good. Not the best pizza I've ever had and certainly not my favorite style, but it's good and I'd be happy to eat it if it was offered. There are lots of things in life that aren't the very best but are perfectly good enough to be enjoyed again and again. That's Joe's. When you dine in (I joined the hubs and crew for dinner one night), they'll bring a basket of garlic rolls. They're pretty tasty when fresh, but aren't as great if you're eating them leftover at home. Some things lose their magic over time, and Joe's rolls are one of those things. Since I've started dating MyFitnessPal again, I can do without the calories of leftover rolls. ANYWAY, if you're in Plano and want a low-key, family-friendly place to grab a slice, or a calzone, or a sandwich, or a salad, or...you might want to check out Joe's. (By the way, Joe's offers a discount for our church and I'll bet that it does the same for several of the local northcentral Plano houses of faith.) read more

This was my first time ordering from Joe's and I ordered thru the yelp app, which was extremely helpful. I wanted some really good pasta and I didn't realize how good it would be. I ordered the same thing for a friend and I, the alfredo with grilled chicken, and it was enough to be able to share one of the serving sizes. I have since ordered multiple times from here, and not just the alfredo, the pizza as well. I ordered a large pizza, and I could tell the dough was fresh, which I love, and they were generous with the toppings. It has been hard to find a local pizza place that I love compared to when I lived in Houston, but Joe's is definitely that for me that is outside of your standard chain pizza place. read more

What are you waiting for?! Go! We love local community restaurants and Joe's did not disappoint being that it was our first time here! Not sure why we didn't come sooner! Our server was prompt, friendly and attentive-sorry we didn't catch your name. Went on a Friday night around 7:30 pm. Joe's is a cozy place and we were greeted and immediately seated to a table. Immediately served soft, warm and delicious garlic knots while perusing the menu. After we ordered, our salads came promptly. We like to try items that are different from the typical so we ordered a seafood dish (mare), a spicy chicken pink sauce dish and (because we had a little one with us) chicken Alfredo-All served on beautifully plated plates! The food amount was generous, delicious and full of flavor. Eddie (owner/manager) checked in on us. Shows the kind of restaurant you'll be dining in when the manager/owner checks in on their diners and really wants to know how things taste. My spouse always speaks his mind and shared his constructive criticism about his dish and Eddie with candor expressed that he too initially had the same thoughts and even had the chefs re do sauces. Another plus, a manager/owner who cares what is being put out and tastes it personally! Seriously Eddie, we were going to come back even without your visit to our table but because of your personal touch of your visit-for sure we will be visiting and bringing others with us! This place is the shizzzzz! It has it all... and all of it is REALLY good!!! The pizza is excellent and every pasta dish I've had has been awesome! The owners are friendly and very personable checking on each table. The wait staff are friendly and courteous (something you don't see often at all these days) and seem to really enjoy their jobs! Love this place. Customer service is great here shout out to Eddie, he's the owner and he always makes a point to present himself and take care of his guest. My kid loves coming here because she's treated like a princess and they always take care of her. Food is phenomenal and the customer service is excellent, definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for good Italian and great customer service! read more

Catfish nuggets came out about ten minutes after that (weird since they are both apps) and I asked for my soup to be reheated. I tried a nugget and it was ok, but there's like zero seasoning on them. Bland as my last tinder date people. For a place that touts New Orleans in the name, there's no creole/cajun influence here. Everything was just bland, especially the gumbo. By the way, he took it to reheat and by the time he returned it (14 min later) I needed to leave. He was nice enough to give me a lid and bag though. Service was ok, but there's like one guy and when he disappeared it was for ten minutes. I don't know if he was having to cook it or what but it made service slow. I've visited three times now and feel a three is appropriate. It's fine if you aren't looking for what the name implies.
