I checked Yelp yesterday and saw my favorite pizza spot was listed as open until 9 PM. My friends and I headed over hyped, only to find the doors locked. We were standing there looking pretty bummed when these two people walked past. I didn't realize it at the time, but it was the owners. They must have overheard us because they turned right around and asked, "Hey, you guys want some leftover pizza?" They explained that the hours online were actually from before Covid and hadn't been updated. They ended up giving us their own pizza! Amazing "east coast pizza". I have been in California for almost 2 years now and have been struggling to find pizza that is good as on the East Coast. This place is better than most pizza places that I had growing up. The dough is perfect, the sauce is sweet and there are plenty of cheese and other toppings on their pizza. You can buy it by the slice or you can buy a whole pizza. Prices are pretty normal for pizza in California. They do have meal deals that you can buy that come with a drink and a salad. This is a great place to grab a quick slice. It was right around the corner from my job so during my lunch break, I loved being able to walk here. The lunch special isn't bad on the wallet either. It's good for a quick bite when you're short on time and on the go. I went with a pepperoni and one with pepperoni and jalapeños (I don't recall or if was labeled). I returned to the office to eat my bounty. This is probably one of the best pizza places in DTLA. I would find myself coming her often when I was working in the Downtown area for a slice of their pizzas. Their slices are pretty decent size and the whole pizza could be a little pricey but very worth it. My go to pizza is the Hawaiian Luau. They add tons of ham and pineapple. The pineapple they use come in big chunks and so good!! My next favorite is the meat deluxe which comes with pepperoni, ham sausage and bacon (which is a whole piece of bacon on each slice) I spent about $64 for two XL pizza with two ranches on the side and had plenty of leftovers and this pizza still tastes good when it's cold! The only thing that kind of sucks is that they only deliver within downtown and they are on a busy street so it's hard to find parking for pick up orders. read more

Typically, we get the large whole supreme pizza (5/5) which is loaded with sauce, cheese, mushrooms, olives, pepperoni, and peppers. Recently we ordered a whole pizza with half avocado pesto (4/5) and half supreme. I wasn't sure about avocado on pizza but actually it's pretty tasty. The crust to topping ratio is spot on in my opinion. Typically I like a thinner crust but with all those toppings, a slightly thicker crust is necessary.
