    Broken taco
    Mary T.

Joes tacos has recently opened up more locations, and sadly this original location is lacking not only in management but quality of food. The quality of the tacos have gone down since I first tried their tacos. My recent visit however was more than disappointing. I ordered online to pick up some tacos after work with an estimated pick up time noted. When I arrived my order was not ready, and I also noticed there were 3 groups of people also sitting down with no food- waiting for their food also. I ended up waiting 25 mins after my estimated pick up time to receive my online order. When I got home, all but one taco, was broken. Simply picking up the tacos made the shells break apart. Really disappointed- not to mention the price increase. I understand the increase in prices everywhere, but it has to reflect the quality of food and service and this place wasn't providing either anymore

Love me a taco truck and this one doesn't disappoint. Fast service and tasty bites. Try the Master Tacos for a nice cheesy crunch!

I would give a zero if Yelp would let me. My husband ordered a burrito de cabeza, he cannot eat cheese but never figured a cabeza burrito would come with cheese. Since he didn't know and they didn't advise him what it had in it, it had cheese. We called to take it back and get one without cheese, and wow to our surprise in a Mexican taco shop, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. They said you can bring it back but we will charge you again. Mind you, we had raved about this place, even sent family & friends. Not anymore, am going to blast our crummy experience on all social media platforms. NEVER GO HERE! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CAN WE SAY.....GREED. Blessings don't come to those who seek only money! Oh, and the quality of the food has gone down drastically! The vampiro I order cheese was old and dried, no flavor!!!

    Menu. Simple and delicious
    Sara M.

Ummm yum!! This is a good truck located 2 mins from our house. They are ALWAYS busy and for good reason. Their menu is short and sweet. I had been wanting to try their keto tacos and today was the day. I grabbed 1 asada and 1 pastor. The kids also wanted an Agua Fresca so we went with the sandia (watermelon). It was not expensive and the wait wasn't long. The shells of cheese were perfectly crisped up and held the meat in. The meats were both cooked perfectly however, I thought the asada was a bit salty but just personal preference. The pastor was amazing! Served with fresh onion and cilantro and I added some of their green sauce. Definitely will stop by when I have a taco craving I can't cure at home!

Toasted Tacos, got 4 diff kinds and I was stuffed! They are good sized.

Yum! Those are the toasted tacos and since it was my first time I decided to get 4 diff kinds! The horchata is very large and delicious! It's 9:40 pm on Friday night and it's nice to be under an old "gas station" patio with bright string lights and tables.

    Joes Tacos!

This is the ultimate taco stop. A food trailer set up in a parking lot with a nice seating area. Talk about down to earth and food focused. No frills just good food!! We ordered a variety. Carne asada quesadilla, one of each original tacos (minus the nopales), one of each crispy tacos, and a watermelon Agua Fresca. From order to being ready was probably five minutes max. Tacos are served loaded with onions cilantro and guacamole on top. They were delicious! Perfect street style tacos, small three biters! The quesadilla was amazing. Nice and cheesy the meat was fresh and super juicy! The drink was great as well. Very flavorful with chunks of watermelon blended in it. If you're looking for a great taco and an authentic no Bs atmosphere give these guys a go!

    Crunch Flat Taco!
    Mike R.

This was the first trip for me. Upon walking in I noticed there were quite a few guys from Luke Air Force Base. They must really like the place! It is clean and new inside. The only surprise upon entering was that the menu was pretty limited. I have been in the mood for a Tostada but was limited mostly to tacos. Guess that's why it's Joe's Tacos! I ordered the crunchy Taco. It is served flat with beef, guac and a very crunchy shell. The Carne Asada on it was really good. No complaints here. Even though the menu was somewhat limited, the food was right on! I see most here love the place! Glad to have you in the neighborhood Joe!

Quesadilla with (grisly) beef for $10.
    Carmacat2 ..

Wellll, "I" DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY would "NOT" go out of my way to come here, again. I got Beef Quesadilla full of gristly beef, a regular Taco, $2.30 with NO cheese, and a Toasted Taco for $3.30. I can't find the rest of my review...the beef quesadilla was soooo full of gristle I could barely eat it. My Tacos fortunately were gristle free. My boyfriend's $11 burrito was also full of gristle. These people REALLY need to buy "higher quality" meat, OR pick out the gristle before cooking. That's not a way to get repeat customers...I will NEVER, EVER comeback here. My advice to future customers...save your money, too many GREAT Mexican restaurants in the Phoenix area.

    Natalie H.

Delicious! My first time here, and I ordered three different tacos: the original, vampiro, and the toasted. My favorite was the vampiro. There was a bit of a wait after ordering, but it was 6:45 at the height of dinner hour. It was worth it.

    Converted gas station!
    Chris M.

Way to earn that 5th star! In an old converted gas station. I love the obvious conversion - reminds me of Chile Verde in St Petersburg, FL, which if you like this look, you should go look up immediately. Look for the stuffed horses. I appreciate that even though it's a food truck, it's always in one place where you can find it, and plugged into ground electricity rather than wasting fuel. I love the spice level. Nailed it - not over the top, not asleep, but flavorful - not just there to be a challenge. The pastor was nice, but, the BEST taco: Grilled corn taco with nopales hold guac, then you go add red salsa yourself on top. The grilled taco is a corn shell dipped in cheese that's crisped onto it. Nopales is cactus that's been marinated and grilled. Kinda tastes like grilled peppers. This taco is so so so good. I'm only here a week and I'm coming back for this!

BEST. TACOS. IN. THE. WHOLE. WORLD. I've ate a lot of tacos in my life time and this is hands down the best tacos I've ever ate. This little taco truck is parked in a parking lot set up with tables and chairs. The toasted tacos is literally genius - cheese shell over a corn tortilla filled with carne asada . Their Aguas frescas is also delicious and only $5 for a big mason jar full! Definitely will be my go-to whenever I'm in AZ and already making a plan to go back before we leave back home. It's a must.

We have been coming to Joe's taco truck since he first started out, he told us a little bit about what it took to make get his business up and going, honestly super inspiring! We'd see him often working the grill or cleaning the tables and taking orders. He truly takes pride in his food and has ensured the food truck is what it is today. This food truck is located in the parking lot of the tire shop right under the olive 75th ave bridge off grand ave. You can't really miss the truck as it is red but it may be a little bit tougher to get into the complex there is two entrances, 1 down 75th and the other down olive (one way). There isn't any public restrooms you can use so please keep that in mind. He does have protection from the sun which do come in clutch during the summer and make sure you bring a sweater for the chillier nights as it is all outside seating. They do offer hand sanitizer but I don't believe there is a hand wash station. I'd highly recommend their cabeza tacos and nopal tacos. They are so delicious. I personally love the textures of the cabeza and nopal is a great option for my vegan friends. I'm pretty sure their tortillas are home made as well. They offer a variety of fresh waters, they come in large mason jars, for only $5. I'd highly recommend getting a bottled water and adding water to the drinks as they are on the sweeter side but that is my personal opinion, I've tried all of them and they are ALL VERY GOOD. My favorite has to be the Jamaica and the mint cucumber. This is moderate price, quality products, family friendly, and perfect for lunch or dinner any day! Support a local family owned business and stop by Joe's! Cheers enjoy friends! :) (Pictured below is one of the many visits, carne asada quesadilla can be split by 2 it's huge! & horchata in the Joe's mason jar)

The roasted tacos are everything! Yelp search landed me to this truck! The order counter is right next to the truck with items written on board. Limited things which make it easy to order. They have seating arrangement and sauce station too! I had the regular and roasted pastor taco and a side of cucumber melon juice that came in a mason jar. The drink was refreshing and a little too sweet for my taste. But fresh. Next, the tacos. The crispy or roasted tacos were everything. Very delicious, could taste the cheese and crispy tortilla. However, the meat was not so flavorful. It was rather dry. Customer service was good. Food came out quick and fresh. The food is decent for the price. Would come back for toasted taco though. Give it a try; it's worth a taste!

    Great drinks!

    What are the summer hours?

Tuesday- Saturday 11am-10pm. We will be closed next week, 7/29-8/5. We will be on vacation.

    Gluten free options?

Our tortillas our gluten free and so is our seasoning... but we do work in a small kitchen where food can accidentally mix so we don’t promote gluten free for our and our customers safety.

Can you order through text as well?

They will take a card for sure!! Apple Pay as well I believe
