Edgardo was wonderful! We absolutely loved his energy and how attentive he was throughout our experience. He checked on us often to make sure we were doing well and kept us informed along the way. The food was delicious, the views were spectacular, and the overall experience was amazing. Thank you, Edgardo, for making it even more enjoyable! Highly recommend!

Alexa play: "Happy Hour" by Isaiah Rashad My happiest hour on a rooftop fills me every time. Cause who doesn't love when the sun is setting at the golden hour of time while you're sippin on a drink that's priced in half, with some added bar bites to complete the happiest hour. Now we can say extra Golden! I come here from time to time and it always feels complete when I leave. No complaints. Wayfarer can have their moment of shine here. Richard, my bartender, took care of my visit and experience. I ordered the mango unchained drink...the chamoy stick was a hit. Straight Latina style! Only sipped a little of it. I merged over to something more simple which was the Gin Rickey drink. I ended up sippin on two of these. Honestly, that was all I needed to set the tone lol, and of course, I was hungry. I ordered the crispy chicken sando with fries. Fulfilling plate. I was pleased. All on the happy hour menu too. Greatness here! The sun had already set and it was getting dark. It was time to get on and head home. Thanks to Richard and his team for nourishing my appetite and being attentive my way. Catch me here sippin!

Richard the bartender was fantastic every night we came here. The views are amazing, and the food and drinks are even better. Happy hour specials from 5-7 every day. There is a great selection of drinks, and the menu is also outstanding!

We came in after closing but our server Rubel made our experience amazing! He recommended us drinks (which were perfect) and was so attentive to our table. The view was beautiful at night and we would love to come back again!

I stayed at the Wayfarer Hotel in downtown Los Angeles and discovered they have a pretty cool speakeasy. I decided to try the drinks and food, and I was pleasantly surprised -- the drinks were really good, especially the margaritas. The food was okay. It was a bit quiet when I went, but the vibe was still nice. Unfortunately, the rooftop bar was closed while I was there. It's closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which was disappointing because I checked in Monday night and checked out Thursday, so I didn't get the chance to experience the rooftop. They do have a happy hour from 5-7 PM, and the drinks are definitely worth trying. You won't be disappointed. The service was really good here !!

This hotel was literally a spot for us to freshen up and head back out, to only then come back for a quick night's sleep. I do think the aesthetic and renovations are cute, but you can tell it is an older hotel with a fresh set of decor. Staff was super friendly, but sadly the hours of the rooftop are a bit limited. They had a little carryout window for you to grab breakfast and coffee downstairs so that was neat. If you need a quick one night stay in the downtown area then this spot has you covered.

I had such a phenomenal experience at the Wayfarer rooftop restaurant. The atmosphere was serene. The food was so delicious. The vibes and scenery were immaculate especially during golden hour when the sun sets it creates a great atmosphere. But overall the customer service was one of the best I have had in a while. Eduardo Hernandez went above and beyond to make sure that we were well attended to. He made sure our food was top tier quality and even then also was very genuine and carried a wonderful conversation. The pictures speak for themselves. Overall I give this experience a 5/5 star rating

Our drinks were definitely the highlight here - and the view, of course! We came for DineLA and really enjoyed Mango Margarita and Horchatarita drinks. Large portions, sweet flavors, creative mixes, yum. The Shrimp Aguachiles were a personal fave of mine, no notes. The Pasta a la Diabla (basically, pasta with birria beef) was a miss for me. Lots of heavy pasta with beef, but the taste just didn't hit as intended. It's also such a generous portion, I couldn't finish it. The Queso Fundido was quite good, we agreed that we'd get it again. The Chicharron was good in theory, but we weren't keen on the flavors nor the presentation. The Stuffed Churros were A1, hands down. I'd come back to enjoy the Stuffed Churros with the view any day. Service was efficient and polite, and the place seemed to fill up after sundown. Fun ambiance, good music. Parking can be tricky in this area, but we opted for a garage and paid.

Absolutely loved our visit. Me and my mom had a blast and really enjoyed ourselves. This was very special to me since I recently got a new career and was promoted to full-time and have been wanting to show my mom and I more of what the world has to offer. Having dinner with my mom from a rooftop alongside the downtown buildings we have been a part of since the 90s was really cool! My mom had a blast and it really impacted her, nothing like making Mom proud. They don't offer parking which I found silly since they are a hotel lol, but there is a parking lot literally next-door to them that they recommend to park at. It was very fast, safe and convenient for us. The host, both downstairs and upstairs were very friendly and polite. We had the pleasure of being served by Rachel, I believe her name was. She was very attentive, courteous, and polite. She definitely upped our visit. Now I will say this, I did fully do my research in picking the best place to take us to which helped to understand the flow of everything. Of course, I'm a yelper hence why I'm on here and giving them an awesome review, so I do read reviews myself. I normally don't let the bad ones scare me away, I always make my own judgment. So yes, the menu is small, but i feel it has a fair dish as an option to help you gravitate towards your craving. So, NO you are not "just paying for the view." They even have a happy hour menu! You definitely don't get the vibe like they are very upscale and high-end to where you feel like its their way or the highway, who cares kinda vibe. We started off with the happy hour cesar salad which was really good. We both went with their Rigatoni alla Vodka pasta and added protein. I added the steak & my mom added the birria style Ragu. I really enjoyed my protein but man, that birria on my mom's plate was also reeeeally good. The pasta was a bit stale but i was told that was the style, nevertheless our plates were empty haha. Our waitress recommended a wine that my mom really enjoyed. I described what i was craving and i was recommended a mojito that was oh so good! I made reservations for 5pm so we could enjoy the warmness of the sun, yet catch the sunset as well. It's been hot in LA so this was definitely the move. Needless to say, you are not just 'paying for the view.' I'm definitely giving credit where the credit is due, and looking forward to going back!

Rubel made our rooftop dining experience exceptional! From the moment we arrived, he was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He checked on us at just the right times, offered great recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. His friendly personality and outstanding service really elevated the entire experience. The rooftop views were amazing, but Rubel's hospitality was what truly made the evening memorable. We'll definitely be back and hope to be served by him again!

I'm in LOVE! We came here on a Friday night with reservations. We got seated right away and I immediately noticed the aesthetics and felt comfy. I appreciate that there's a few seating options - high tables or lounge type seats. We ordered a few cocktails, elote, chicken sandwich and steak and eggs. The food and drinks were delish! No regrets there. Customer service had great vibes, there were times that it was difficult to get their attention but not a deal breaker. I absolutely loved my time here - I would recommend!

The link for private events is broken on their site, anyone from wayfarer have a good link?

Hi! The link is working on our end but just takes a while to load. If it still doesn't work for you, email dos@wayfarerdtla.com!

Who do I contact to dispute a charge?

For dining reservations, email dining@wayfarerdtla.com! For hotel, you can email reservations@wayfarerdtla.com.

    Do allow kids?

    Yes, we do!

    Do they accept Apple Pay?

Yes, we do accept Apple Pay!

    How do I make reservation?

You can book a reservation via OpenTable, the link is on our website. For parties of 8 or more please email dining@wayfarerdtla.com.

May i use stairs to get to the rooftop?

Yes, we have stairs! It's a bit of a hike but definitely possible.

Are kids allowed to go with family? is it kid friendly for a 9 year old?

Yes I've seen kids there. It's a hotel rooftop restaurant/bar so regular tables for dining and a super friendly attitude-free staff

Is there a la carte brunch available on Saturday's?

Yes. In fact it's better than the priced fixed 10 course meal. Don't order the Asian rice dish however, bleh!

Where is the best place to park?

Street parking because you can honestly see it from the rooftop, or there a few pay to park garages/lots nearby ranging from $12-20. Hope that helps!

Is it kid friendly for a 5 year old?

No. This is not a family friendly environment. This is a spot where folks like to party and staff is so untrained, the guests set the vibe.

Do we need a reservation to go to the rooftop bar?

No it's open bar to anyone

Is there a happy hour menu?

No happy hour that I know of, but a Sunday brunch special that rocks. Call to confirm:)

Is there a live dj at the rooftop bar?

No, but they have music playing throughout

Do we need a vaccination proof?

We did not have to show proof of vaccination to go to the rooftop

    Is there a Dress code?

No dress code! Feel free to wear what you want!

    Are you allowed to smoke?

No. Our property is 100% smoke free.

Are they checking for vacation status when dining here?

    No they are doing nothing

    Do they have gift card?

    Yes we do.

    Are kids allowed?

    Definitely!

    Are dogs allowed?

No.... It's not that type of place...very tight quarters

This spot opened about a year ago, and has a cool speakeasy style entrance at the Highland Park Bowl bowling alley. It is a small space, and I would highly recommend making a reservation on Resy. You have 90 minutes to drink and dine. I parked behind the bowling alley where there is a medium sized pay parking lot. Park in a space, remember your space number painted on the ground, and go to the pay station at the end of the lot. I found the parking machine to be extremely finicky as did other people. After ten minutes of failure, I ended up moving my car to another space, and then it worked. This has nothing to do with the Lucky Tiki, but FYI if you park there. We walked around to the front of the bowling alley, and checked in. Seating options include at the bar, tiki hut booths, and high top tables. The décor inside is a tiki lovers paradise. The room has a high ceiling with many tiki lamps, floats, puffer fish, tiki huts, thatch, ropes, barrels, netting, carvings, a hanging canoe, and a large tiki right in the middle of the space. In addition to the great décor, when you order certain drinks, special effects are triggered. There was also great tiki music playing all evening. We sat at the bar since we always enjoy talking to the bartenders. We actually ran into Skipper Christian in the parking lot on the way in, and he ended up being our main bartender, with Nick and Jo also working behind the bar. We put in a food order right away. The chicken potstickers ($12) came with five tasty bites, and the garlic teriyaki dipping sauce was good. We also had the giant pretzel ($16) which comes with mustard, beer cheese, and ranch sauces. This was excellent, and the perfect filling snack before a bunch of drinks. My first drink was the Siren's Song (Flor de Cana Eco rum, lemon juice, cassis, Oloroso sherry, apricot foam topper, $19). This drink is served in a great mermaid with skull mug and triggers special sound effects and bubbles fill the air. Those bubbles on top of the drink had a great light citrusy apricot flavor, probably the best flavored bubbles I've ever had. The drink itself was very good and balanced with some complexity. She wasn't sure what to order at first, and Christian asked her what flavors she liked. He ended up making a spin on a Tradewinds with some mango and pineapple to go along with the apricot and coconut. It was nicely balanced and not too sweet, even with all that fruit in there. My second drink was the Sun of Suns (Tierra de Acre mezcal, coconut cream, Giffard mango liqueur, pineapple juice, lime juice, $17). This was coconut and pineapple forward with some good smokiness in the background. Her second drink was the Whatever Floats Your Boat (Ford's gin, lemon juice, velvet falernum, orgeat, passion fruit syrup, guava soda, topped with hazelnut passion fruit foam, $19). It is served in a cool boat mug, and triggers thunder sound effects and lighted mechanical Polynesian tiki characters paddling a canoe over the bar. This was another good balanced drink. It was a little gin forward and the passion fruit popped out, maybe from being both in the drink and the foam top. That creamy hazelnut passion fruit form on top is delicious. I'd happily have a glass of that on its own. We were still a little hungry so we ordered the Hawaiian pizza (marinara, diced pepperoni, red onion, pineapple chunks, hot capicola ham, $16). It was another good tasting, perfectly sized snack, and the crust was light and airy. We were already fifteen minutes over our time limit, but we got the green light to stay longer to order a third drink to share. We ordered the Tiki Diablo (Flor de Cana Eco rum, Worthy Park 109 rum, Alma Tepecha chile liqueur, orange juice, lime juice, mango syrup, guava soda, $24). This drink serves two people, is served in a cool volcano bowl with glowing red lava around it, and comes with a fire show. Unfortunately, right after it was served, the host came over and said we were over our time and had to leave shortly. Christian made up for it by giving us two tall pours to go enjoy in the bowling alley bar area which was fine. We were happy we got some extra time inside. The drink was also very good, balanced with a little complexity. We had a great time. There is so much great décor to look at. The drinks and food were very good, and some of the the drink presentations and special effects were the icing on the cake. All of the bartenders were very friendly and a lot of fun. We purchased up a few zombie glasses to take home as a souvenir. I'd definitely recommend visiting the Lucky Tiki in Highland Park!

The menu here has a huge vegan section with burgers, sandwiches, apps, wraps, and even some bowls. I ended up ordering a Borracho Fries, which is a big ol' plate of French Fries, house made pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, filet mignon (which kind of just tastes like cheesesteak meat honestly) and it was a dang slap in the taste buds. I'm a big fat sucker for french fry based meals and this Borracho Fries were really, really, really good. Great taste, crispy fries, and whatever smackin' sauce is.
