Reopened after a couple of years, got a couple of slices of pepperoni pizza. Pizza was good but nothing special. Compared to the neighborhood prices are much cheaper to other pizza shops close by. Service from the staff was quite friendly

a slice of pizza and a can of soda

Ate here today for lunch by myself while biking to Maspeth. I had brought and ate the cheese pizza with a can of soda. It was great and delicious. The service there was also fast, quick and attentive that I didn't feel rushed about what to choose a pizza to try for the first time. I couldn't agree more. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :)

Ho hum.. Better pizza in the area

I first ordered 6 months ago when I moved to this area - it was good (was probably hungry) Ordered a second time weeks later- mediocre I decided to give them one more try today... This pizza is horrible! They market a $15 large pie special but I think they cut back on quality ingredients, as it is awfully difficult to deliver a quality product for that small amount of money. Most great pizza are $22 and up. Anyway, I won't be ordering again and I must say, Maspeth needs a brand new pizza joint. Anybody up for the challenge to open one?

    BBQ Chicken Slice

Many years ago I was introduced to Joeys Pizza. I kept hearing from friends that lived in Maspeth that it's the best in the neighborhood. I was skeptical because I was already living in Kew Gardens and to me the best pizza in Queens is from Dani's (don't fight me). The first time I went I tried the plain because I think that's the best way to test out a pizza place, by the plain. If that's not good then you can just forget about anything else. When I got my slice I noticed there were sesame seeds on the crust. I was intrigued and delighted after that first bite. I don't know why but I would have never thought of adding sesame seeds to pizza dough. My life was honestly changed after that because I'll go through periods of craving "that-pizza-with-the sesame-seeds". The other day we were running errands and passed Joey's and we had to turn the car around and get a few slices from here. If you are in Queens be sure to try the pizza here, it's honestly worth it. Currently, because of COVID seating is limited to like 2-3 guests but they definitely deliver and pick up is available.

    Screw in BBQ Chicken Pie

Kind of speechless. I ordered a personal bbq chicken pie.. I take a bite and I bit into something hard. I spit it out and it is a whole screw. I call the pizzeria and was asked to send a picture to a workers cell phone number ( had no problem doing it) he laughed and said wow.. I was then told to call grub hub to get a refund ..... The lack of customer service is upsetting. Definitely lost a customer.

#16 3.5 Sesame seeds on a slice of pizza.... definitely a first for me. It is a very different slice and I see why some will love it and some not so much. Looks like it has been in the neighborhood forever which is a good thing. Very generous portions of cheese, so if you love cheese, this is the spot for you. A slightly imbalanced pizza IMHO, but it was delicious.

Regular slice. I added the spices.

Not a bad pizza joint. Pizza is too salty although the sesame crust is a plus. The staff is friendly too, which is always good.

But this pizza is fresh and satisfying, you can taste the homemade marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese. I prefer fresh not canned mushrooms but it did it's job today. The crust is crunchy and sturdy, built to handle as many toppings as you want, and oh, what a selection of specialty pies. In addition to pizza they have many options from pastas, to sausage, chicken, veal and lamb entrées, seafood dishes, heroes, burgers, wraps and paninis. Prices are reasonable, not assaulting like in the city. They also cater. Staff is friendly. Next time you're on a Queens pizza crawl or even driving home from the airport, be sure to take the quick detour to La Bella Mariella. Open till midnight Fridays and Saturdays, 11pm all other days. This place really doesn't give a crap what they send to the customer and when they screw up it is like the customers fault. They either have people who can't read because lord knows they can barely speak English. Now I have no order from here in months because of this. But stupid me figure I would give them another try. The food was truly outstanding--authentic Italian cuisine prepared with care and served in abundant portions. The grand finale was an absolutely fantastic tiramisu that everyone raved about.
