Small Asian grocery store that has what you need. Rice, noodles, vegetables, butcher shop with fish and meat, eggs, sauces, snacks, can goods, frozen section with wonton or eggroll wrappers, potstickers, etc. They also have a hot food counter. Rice and 2 side or noodles and 2 sides combos about $10 to $12. They have empanadas for $2.50 each and a variety of asian appetizers. There was so much to choose from. Food is delicious and at a great price.

AUTHENTIC And ready to take home Philippine food. The employees are always very polite, in the food is always just as I remember eating in the Philippines. You can dined in, or take out ready to go meals either for individual or family size. Adobo, Kaldereta, Pakbet, fried fish and many street food favorites from the Philippines. The restaurant is located inside the Asian grocery store which also has many hard to find imported Asian specialty foods.

This is the place where we go to for our groceries They have most or all that you will need to cook filipino food. Selections are awesome! So that is a 5 star right there but this review is for the take out section. The restaurant side of it is below par compare to other filipino restaurants nearby but the price is a lot cheaper. We ordered a small menudo to go for $6.99 and as we start eating, mostly carrots and potatoes. Not sure what the ratio is with the ingredients and meat with their dishes but definitely this one was not an even one. It is a hit or miss with this place, like we love their lumpiang shanghai and pinakbet but fail on the others. There are other three restaurants in the area, FM Asian food mart and Unimart are by Woodridge, and South Sea in Bolingbrook. Try each one and see which one meets your taste buds. Happy Eating!

But this place very Sushi quality was really good even the appetizers were really good I love the kani salad, it's the first time in a long time that I had a good one. I think next time it would be better for more people that way we can try more stuff on the menu, they do charge a dollar per piece of leftovers. They also have a section for seafood boil which I am really interested in trying and because of that I am definitely coming back. Service was great. Parking is not an issue. And the place is pretty special because it is one piece themed which I found out was a very famous anime. Happy eating!

Upon entering you are met with a statue of Monkey D. Luffy and throughout the restaurant they have other characters and items that fit the show. It was well done and would be great for any One Piece fan as their menu has some creations that are geared towards fans. They have an ayce option either sushi/hibachi or sushi/seafood boil. We did the sushi/hibachi option. They actually have quite a lot to choose from on their ayce menu which is a bonus. The menu has pictures and thankfully the food comes out as shown in the pictures. Tried their veggie spring rolls, avocado salad, Kani salad, and a few other appetizers. The beef hibachi was really good nice flavoring. As for the sushi there is something for everyone. Loved the presentation and different options of getting specialty rolls, single serve and traditional rolls, even fried rolls. All in all it was a great experience a good place to come with friends or family so you can try more options because you will leave full. Service was good my wayer never ran dry and they were quick to come and grab our paper with our next order. It was not super busy when we went but it was starting to pick up as we left around 4 ish.

The table salsas are thick, mildly spicy & super good. The table chips were thin, fresh and crunchy. The cantarito was dressed great & tasted even better. The enchiladas de queso were well prepared l, not at all greasy & awesome! The queso fundido con chorizo was very good. The first time I've had it with queso Oaxaca. Although I personally am used to chihuahua cheese it was a nice twist to the appetizer. The ambiance is comfortable & the tables are far apart enough to enjoy the company of friends/family. The decor is also in good taste. This place (building) was originally Lalo's back in the day then Bucho's, Perla Negra y now Cocina 53. Out of all other owners this is by far the best! Yes...Lalo's was good in its time but Cocina 53 has a unique flare. On both visits I had Cristina as a server. She is friendly, kind, attentive, fast & you can tell she is naturally a hospitable person. It's hard to come by those key qualities especially in today's service era. Ask for Cristina as your server & please, please...tip well! This is their livelihood & they work hard to provide A+ service. To the owner of Cocina 53...thank you for this awesome place in Bolingbrook & Cristina deserves a raise!! She makes you shine above & beyond.

I would highly recommend their shrimp dinner, you can chose own sauce they can cook it in. Service was excellent and very courteous. The best part was the food did not take too long to come. I have received subpar service at 5 star restaurants, but here the service was splendid. Overall I would highly recommend them.

I got kung pao beef and a couple of other things. The "beef" in the kung pao was so fatty and chewy I could literally not eat it. I kept trying, but it was EVERY PIECE in the container. A total loss. I called to let the restaurant know. The woman who took the call assured me my card would be credited the amount of the item. This was outright FRAUD, as my card was never credited for this food I could not eat. She also said the manager would call me back, which also did not happen. Bad enough the food was inedible, but blatantly lying to me was way over the line. The rest of the items were on the bland side, and I'm not sure if I would have come back. It's across the street from Arby's in a small strip mall. You'll definitely have to make a U-Turn because getting into the lot is weird. Plenty of parking since it is a shared lot. We decided to do two combo meals plus the aristocrat chicken. When dining in, there are about 4 tables so it can be limited if there is a rush hour. The owner was very pleasant and he explained about the items before we looked at the menu. Lumpia was crispy and tasty. Garlic rice was a little oily but still good. Overall, it's about a 4. I would have given them a 5 but that rock hard crispy kare kare is hard to forget. However, I'll return to try other items. -crispy kare kare with garlic rice and lumpia 3 - I wanted to like this but the crispy kare kare was a huge let down. It was very tough to eat. I've had Filipino food many times and it was never this hard. It's a shame because the peanut sauce with the veggies and eggplant were delicious. -bbq pork belly (liempo) with garlic rice and lumpia 5 - I really liked the BBQ pork belly. Very easy to cut with a spoon. Meat was well seasoned. It is fatty, so it's best to eat it with rice. -aristocrat chicken 5 - highly recommended. Chicken is extremely flavorful even for leftovers. Meat is very moist and juicy. Nice balance of sweet and salty. I should have gotten the 10 pieces.
