Towards end of meal my aunt who was sitting facing towards the kitchen seen a mouse run from there screamed in shock and the mouse ran back to the kitchen. Waitress was apologizing but was whispering about in where the rest of the staff glanced over and ignored it. It gave the vibe like it was a common thing and only the waitress felt bad about it. John Cutter was able to get us in right away for lunch for a table of 8 people. The inside is a bit crowded and dark for me. There are booths, high top tables and sitting outside as well. They have 2 single bathroom, ATM and also bar area inside. The kitchen is an open concept and we sat right in front of it, which was a bit busy. I got the chicken sandwich and fries, it was pretty good. All the food that everyone got was great . If you are a party of 8 or more they automatically add a 20% gratuity to each bill in the group. A local tavern with lots of different daily specials. We came here for the $19 steak & lobster special. First impression wasn't great with very overcooked lobster and dry steak. We came back a second time and tried some other dishes that were great. My man enjoyed their chicken wings and I loved the Philly fries loaded with flavorful rib eye, mushrooms, onions, and cheese sauce. So we came back again and tried the steak & lobster special wondering if maybe we just had an off night but no it was the same crap and everything was overcooked. So no more attempts with that. Cocktails are great during HH but during regular hours they're at strip prices. Service on each visit has been really great with lots of very friendly bartenders and waitresses. The space is really crammed inside. One evening my back was so close to another table that the guy directly behind me kept bumping my seat. When I asked my colleague at work about who's got the best nachos she said there's a place in Summerlin that she went to on a date and she thought really hard to remember this place she even googled it and when she remembered she said John Cutter! She remembers how good the nachos were, so I told her I'd have to check it out. To my surprise this place was tucked in the corner of a shopping center. We went on a Saturday for some late night eats. As we walked in, this place was packed and they still had available seating for us. The restaurant has a casual chill vibe with a section for bar top gaming with tv's in different areas in the restaurant. The service from the "JC" staff was pleasant, they were welcoming and attentive. I told our waitress it was our first time and we came here for their nachos and she said that they had good nachos the "Filet Nachos" as they call it. Also mentioned was their great specials which it was written on a board placed on the wall in the corner of the restaurant. Looking around the restaurant we observed people ordering the Steak and Lobster Special for $19.99, maybe I'll order that next time! On the menu: Filet Nachos Potato Wedges The Filet Nachos were so delicious filled with a perfect amount of toppings with colored tortilla chips and oh that "JC Signature Cheese Sauce!" The Potato Wedges were also delicious the portions were big that we had to take the rest to go. We were very satisfied and we will have to make another trip back. Wow, what a gem to be found in Summerlin! My Wife and I came by with our two dogs for a late lunch a couple of weeks back, and their front patio around 1430-1500 in the Spring is FANTASTIC! Just a couple of tidbits to start off. 1.) If you join their text message list, you get $10 off your first check. 2.) Wednesday and Saturday they have a Steak and Lobster Special for $19. On to the review... I started off with a pint of the Mother Earth Cali Creamin (one of my favorite beers to get on tap). I started with their House Salad, and their vinegrette was nice and refreshing. For my main I opted for their take on a traditional favorite (The Philly Cheese Steak), and in their version they sub the obligatory Cheese-Wiz for their house made cheese sauce, and was really tasty. If you've ever done the Cheese-Wiz Philly, you know that the law of diminishing returns quickly applies, and this is not the case with their sauce so I was quite pleased with the sandwhich. They also serve the big steak fries which I love especailly when they're done well with a solid crunch on the ouside and hot and soft on the inside. My wife opted for the Steak and Lobster special which was really quite impressive for the $19 price of admission. Both the steak and lobster were a good size, cooked decent, and appropriately buttery. Also, while we were there, there were girls from Kettle One giving out free shots of their latest canned cocktails! So, for this visit, John Cutter gets an A+ from me. It's exactly what we were looking for on a nice Saturday afternoon. I'd deffinitely recommend you given them a try and sit on the patio if the weather is nice. :) read more

We decided to try this restaurants Wednesday and Saturday Steak and Lobster special and were pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. We got on the wait list and got seated after about 20 minutes (worth with wait). The restuarant atmosphere is very nice and our server Bella was great . She was extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. Also, the food runners were also friendly and great. The lobster was delicious and the steak was cooked just right and tender. We added a side salad and loaded baked potatoe which both were excellent. We also tried the carrot cake which was delicious. The prices are reasonable for the quality and amount of food. Came here for the first time recently with my husband and friends. We came specifically for their 50% off steak Sundays! They also have a $19 surf and turf special on Wednesdays and Saturdays. For steaks, they don't have a whole lot of choices. They only have four for you to choose from: 18oz bone in rib eye, 16 oz NY, 10oz filet, and 6oz petite filet. On the menu, it mentions that comes with a side but on Sundays, it does not. However, you can get a side to add on if you'd like! My husband and I decided to get the JC salad to share. They were nice enough to split it for us so we got our own plates. My husband and I got the bone in rib eye and the petite filet and shared both. The steaks were cooked decently, it came out medium rare when I asked for medium rare! The only thing I found lacking was the seasoning. It didn't seem like it was seasoned at all? They also do a splash of chili oil but I find that kind of useless haha. Overall, it is definitely good for the price. The bone in rib eye was $22.50 after the 50% off! It's steal for eating at a restaurant. I just wished they did better at seasoning it. I did bring some home and when I heated it up, I added salt to it and it tasted much better. read more

This is a casual dining experience right outside of Red Rocks Canyon. It's a pretty small and cozy place. Food was okay. I got the spicy Caesar wrap and I will say, I think it needs more Caesar dressing in the wrap and it wasn't spicy at all. We also go the soft pretzel with cheese and that was really good! A YouTuber I follow recommended John Cutter for Steak and Lobster on Wednesday & Saturday's for only $19.00 all day. I had to come and check out the hype. Came here Wednesday for my second time. You will not be disappointed. The price is great and the food is really good. We waited the most 20-25 minutes for a table which is not bad for a Steak and Lobster special with no reservations. Both times my steak was juicy and tender. I like mine medium well. It literally melted in my mouth. No fat and very tender both times. The lobster tail was petite, but for the price you can't complain. On my first visit I had the Brussel sprouts as my side and it was very good. This time I decided to go with the Mac & cheese as a side. I was a little disappointed. The Mac & cheese was very bland, but the texture was very thick and creamy. The bread crumbs on top made the dish. I had to add salt for some flavor. If it was seasoned better it would have been great. Next time I'd like to try the loaded bake potato. My husband had it. He said it was very flavorful. We also got the Caesar salad which was huge and the Caesar dressing was really good and had lots of dressing on it, which I loved. They have Happy Hour every day from 4-6 and 12-6am. It's also open 24 hours! Loved the ambiance here. Very laid back atmosphere. They also have patio dining, but it was way too hot for that this time. Nice huge bar! The service was excellent my first visit. Our waitress that time was very attentive , but This visit was just okay. The waitress kept forgetting about us and didn't seem very friendly this time. Maybe she wasn't having a good day. It's always great to have a watering hole near your home that also serves up some comfort food along with some tasty brews. This is John Cutter's. Great location right on W. Charleston and at the last light before heading out to Red Rock Canyon. They offer some major specials such as Steak/Lobster Tail offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays for only $19. We tried this special a couple times now and it's damn tasty for the price. I always have to add a couple sides as the special only includes the meat/seafood. They also offer the Ultimate Surf and Turf platter for $99. My hubby has tried this and told me how good it is so in the future I will check it out. We went to eat again this week and I tried the Red Rock Cobb salad. Really tasty and fresh. An abundance of every ingredient including chicken, corn, tomatoes, bleu cheese, pine nuts and avocado. Very filling too. Hubby enjoyed the JC Wet Burrito. He wasn't real impressed but then again the specialty here is not Mexican food. Service is always good and shout out to Taylor who has helped us now a couple times. She is always upbeat, helpful and positive. They offer a pretty nice reward program. I just joined and now will receive $20 off my next meal. You simply provide your phone number and boom you are in. Breakfast is served on Saturday/Sunday but we haven't been here yet to try. A patron for over ten years and it may be time to take a break. Ordered pick up, when arrived at restaurant the printer had run out of paper so they hadn't gotten my order. This situation was handled very well. I was offered a glass of wine and opted to go run some errands and come back. Food was ready and they sent me home with a piece of carrot cake for my troubles. I would give five stars for how this was handled. However, get home and open food to find a Philly cheesesteak sandwich with barely any meet on the roll. Loads of mushrooms and no meat. If I had to guess there was maybe 2oz of meat. Called and talked to the same girl who handled my missing order. She was apologetic and asked to call me back so she could talk to her manager. Called me back, to say that the head chef told her that sandwich is made with 6 oz of beef and the packer of the food confirmed it looked like 6oz. She then asked her manager what to do and unfortunately she was told she could do nothing. Sorry! I told her if someone received this sandwich in the restaurant it would have 100% been sent back. Anwser was still '"sorry". In hindsight I should have "returned" the sandwich. Either way, seems like really poor customer service for a $13 sandwich or maybe that is what to expect for $13. Stumbled across this place after trying to get into another breakfast establishment. My girlfriend and I decide to go in and give it a try. The place is very nice inside. I ordered a Denver omelette which was actually very good. The sides however were not. It says home fries. They were frozen tater tots. The toast was just average sour dough. My GF had crispy French toast. It was store bought thin bread with cornflakes in the batter. Waitress never filled our drinks, nor did she check to see if everything was ok. As my friend and I were walking into John Cutter's we noticed that the wind had picked up in the last 20 minutes. The umbrellas were not put away which seemed strange, living in Las Vegas, especially this time of year. An umbrella was lifted and hit my friend and I as we walked inside. It happened so fast.
