The cool thing about this place is that it's open 24hours so you never have to go hungry despite the time of day. And they have a lot of options on their menu! We stopped by quite late at night - maybe 3 or 4am and picked up some grub to go. There were people inside and at the bar and the bartender who helped us was a nice guy. We got the half rack of ribs and the Philly fries without the cheese. The ribs were super tender, they fell off the bone, but they were a little fatty tasting. The fries were pretty good but quite salty. Both meals made us feel pretty gross afterwards, probably because of the fatty and sodium content. I'd say the food here definitely tastes better than typical late-night food but it's nothing that will blow your socks off.
Haven't been here in a long time now I remember why. Disappointed in a few things, I always feel service is not up to par, the employees just aren't engaging enough more, robotic than anything . They don't bother to come back within 1 to 2 minutes at least to check and see how your food was as we issues with our order! Mediterranean wrap I should've asked for not to be grilled just doesn't taste right when it's grilled. It was all right otherwise! The 10 ounce burger was good, Just the bun was a little soft Everything kept falling out of it, but it was a good burger. The steak and lobster is a 8 ounce sirloin You can upgrade that if you'd like the lobster was a nice portion season nicely, however asked for a medium well steak came out more red inside than expected! Server never asked us about refills on drinks, had to flag her down when we had our issues with the food! Even though we live in the area unfortunately I don't think we'll return. We paid a fair amount of money for that food didn't feel it was really worth it.
I don't know why we don't eat here more than we do. We always have a great meal with good, friendly service. We also love the local neighborhood vibe. My husband really enjoyed his steak and lobster. They cooked his steak to a perfect medium and he said the lobster was buttery and delicious. He doesn't eat lobster often, so it was even better that he enjoyed it. I tried the Chicken Club and liked it a lot. I usually don't eat sandwiches for dinner and usually not club sandwiches at all because they fall apart on me. Glad I took a chance. The sandwich was really good and I was able to eat it without having to resort to using my knife and fork. My husband had a few bites too and liked it too. We'll be back a lot sooner next time.
1/2 Late-Night Steak Perfection in Vegas After a brutal 16-hour workday, we were starving and craving steak around 2am--and John Cutter absolutely delivered. We called ahead and were happy to hear they're open 24/7, which already earns major points in this city. We started with a Dirty Shirley and hot tea with honey, then dove into the food. I ordered the famous Philly cheesesteak, and wow--it was legit. Huge portion, packed with flavor, and the cheese was about as close to Philly as you can get outside of Pennsylvania. Next up was an 8oz filet with eggs (classic steak and eggs mood), and it was cooked perfectly with great flavor. We also ordered a burger with steak fries--excellent meat-to-bun ratio, juicy, flavorful, and extremely satisfying. Even though this place is known to be super busy during the summer and weekdays, hitting it at 2am was exactly what we needed. Honestly, thank God for Vegas--where else can you get a great steak in the middle of the night? Must-visit spot. 4.5 stars 1/2 thefoodie.99
We came for the Thursday $18 Half Rack Ribs special. Unfortunately, it was not worth it. My wife had the Chicken Sandwich which was also not good. The chicken breast was poor quality and dry. It's obvious its a precooked/processed piece of chicken that they just simply heat up. My salad was old and soggy. Because it's Halloween season, I guess they figured tons of super-giant spiders on the wall would be appealing while eating. Friendly service, however both our cloth napkins were dirty when we arrived. We were contemplating on trying their Saturday steak special, but now we feel this place is only good for cocktails and drinks.
Our neighborhood favorite best service in Summerlin! We love everyone there!! Addie is our girl as we are always on her timeline and how lucky are we!! Treats us like family and we think of her like family! It's like our own cheers highly recommend! Everything is good too
I did a to go order of the Mediterranean chicken wrap a jc side salad and a side of guacamole. The tzatziki was bland. I think it was missing dill maybe. The guac was amazing. I should have got a chicken wrap with guacamole if that was an option. The wrap was actually too much food for me so I saved the salad for later.
Visited John Cutter on Wednesday for their dinner special of steak and lobster. We arrived at 5:30 and were lucky to obtain the last booth. All of the remaining tables were high top. Service was prompt by our server Brooke. My wife and I each ordered the special and upgraded to Filet Mignon Steak. The steak and lobster were 6 oz. each. Our side dish was the Cheesy Mashed Potatoes. I was skeptical of the food because of the very reasonable price steak and lobster $25 or upgrade to any streak cut for a total of $45. The food arrived in a short time and it was perfectly cooked. The lobster was tender and served with melted butter. The steaks were cooked medium rare and well done exactly as ordered and both were tender and juicy. The mashed potatoes were smooth and tasty. Brooke checked on us several times during dinner. The upgrade to the Filet Mignon was a great choice. We also signed up for the loyalty club and received a $40 discount on our bill. John Cutter has specials on other nights and we put them on our return list.
We tried the Steak & Lobster special last Saturday (only available on Wednesdays and Saturdays), and it was pretty good overall. My two daughters (ages 9 and 12) each ordered one as well, and they really enjoyed the lobster. The steaks were just okay, not premium quality, but honestly, for the price, there's not much to complain about. The only downside was the wait. We arrived around 5:15 pm but didn't get seated until about 5:35 pm, which was a bit longer than expected. Also, it's pretty far from the strip. I mean... far. Tip: If you prefer better-quality meat, you can upgrade the steak for an additional charge.
My husband and I finally had time for a date night after a long, hard week. We were in the area and my sister had recommended this restaurant several times, so we gave it a try. It's a small, quaint bar/tavern. We were greeted pleasantly and seated right away. We sat at a booth that had a very pretty chandelier hanging above us, TVs had the baseball game on...so far so good! Our waitress greeted us and asked if it was our first time there, we said yes, and she explained their specials , including a steak and lobster dinner for $25! We ordered two beers (they have an extensive selection, but they're only bottles, no draft) and we also ordered two appetizers...the potato wedges and the "2 soft pretzels". For our entree, we went with 2 of their specials, and asked for the steaks to be cooked medium well/well..just so there isn't any pink inside. Beers came out. Then the pretzels...when the server set the plate down, I felt embarrassed that my husband ordered them. They were the frozen "super pretzels" that you get at little league snack shacks. They basically microwaved them according to directions, slathered with butter and salt, and served them for $13! On their website they show a plate with 2 golden and crispy pretzels, not tan and rubbery. My husband was starving, so he let it go, and ate some until our entrees came out. The plate looked good! Decent sized steak that looked well seasoned and a small lobster tail. I gave the lobster tail to my husband as I don't like seafood, and cut into my steak. It seemed as if it was cooked to the right temperature, so I go to put the first bite in my mouth, and I smelled something odd. I thought perhaps it was the chilli oil they put on top, so I took the bite. It had no type of seasoning flavor, just a strange almost gamey taste. I put some salt on it and tried to take a few more bites, but I could tell that this was an old piece of meat that was spoiling. It had a sour smell and taste. Meanwhile, my husband cuts into his and it's way undercooked, and he asked the waitress for it to be cooked longer. I asked my husband if his steak had the same smell and he said no, it was just mine. When the waitress returned again with my husbands steak, I politely told her something was really off, maybe if she just wanted to smell it she would see instantly what I was talking about. I explained I wasn't boujee when it comes to steak, it doesn't need to be anything fancy, just not have spoiled. She said she would ask the manager what he could do. I'm grossed out at this point, embarrassed, and disappointed we couldn't have a simple dinner together. The waitress came back and told me the manager would take care of my steak but charge me for the lobster tail, since I gave it to my husband. I said ok reluctantly, thinking really? I didn't eat any dinner! When we got the bill, I was charged $16 for my dinner(the lobster tail). So essentially the manager took $9 dollars off of our bill for my spoiled steak dinner getting sent back. My husband did not eat his steak either. He was grossed out and even with them cooking it longer, it was still raw inside. To top it off, plastered all over the restaurant is a loyalty club you can join and "get $40 off of your bill TODAY" I went through all of the sign up steps, showed the waitress after receiving our check and she said I could only get $20 off, not the $40 that I was literally holding in my hands. That doesn't seem like loyalty to me...it was very misleading and gives you the taken advantage of feeling. The manager didn't come over to apologize for my dinner being foul, or hey sorry this was your first experience I hope we can make it right in the future, nothing. It's unfortunate and like I always say...word of mouth in this town can make you or break you. You have to treat everyone the way you would want your family to be treated, and you'll have so much success! As someone who was born and raised here in beautiful Las Vegas, it pains me to have to give a local business a bad review...but at the same time, these local businesses should have more pride and be held to the standards Las Vegas' dining scene is held to.
The vibe and atmosphere here at John Cutter is relaxing and social. The music also has a low laid back island, reggae-ish sound. The bar area is nice and the alcohol selection is pretty large. I brought my friends here from Houston and honestly, I am waiting to see how good the food is once it gets to our table. Its actually my first time here but Ive eaten at Als garage right next door and it was so delicious!! This spot should be just the same. Standby for an update... Okay, so, the update.... The salmon and asparagus was delicious. The caesar salad was just ok. Hannah, our server, was the best. She has a good vibe, she was also laid back and helpful with all of our orders and she was very professional and polite. Thanks to Hannah for serving us today! The restrooms are nice and clean which is always great.
Just recently returned to this restaurant. The food, service, and ambiance is still great. Their Grilled Salmon Salad was Delicious!!!
The food at John Cutter is consistently good! Tried the shrimp tacos and they were great! The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, and has a fun atmosphere. The real draw are the servers! They're friendly and fun to be around! All around great experience!

Greatest shrimp cocktail in the desert! Unbelievable menu. No matter where u live, or how far u must drive... u won't be disappointed. The salmon stacks are an every visit favorite. Dying to try the ribs. Portions are top notch... GO!!! read more
Met up with a dear friend for the steak and lobster special. It was pretty good for the price. The establishment is on the small side. There are 4 or 5 booth's and the rest are high tables and chairs. It was super busy but none the less we had a great dinner! It was decorated super cute for Halloween. My girls and I came for the steak and lobster special. It did not disappoint. I ordered my steak medium and it was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the lobster was too dry and overcooked but it was still yummy. It came with warm butter. We ordered a side of fries and baked potato. The baked potato is huge with all the fixings and the fries were fresh and piping hot. I'm giving it a 4 because the service could have been better. Stopped in to avoid traffic around 1530. Wasn't to crowded or noisy. Found out the $19 Steak & Lobster special was going on a decided to try it out! Our waitress, Sadie, was amazing! She made some suggestions and we went with those. Every item was delicious! Drinks and food came out quick, hot and fresh! Everything was great. From the host that welcomed us in, to the Hawaiian braddah that brought out our food and of course, Sadie! I'll definitely be back! Great overall experience! read more

I had lunch on a Saturday and it was wonderful. Our waitress Jazmin was fantastic. What needs to be done is having the table fixed. But outdoor seating is really nice and thanks to some trees in the shade. Food was delicious and came out fast. I had lobster tails with Caesar salad and asparagus. And there was surf n turf. Everything was delicious. I was full until I saw the dessert: the carrot cake was enormous, even with 2 people we couldn't finish. Waw I ate sooo much of it I just couldn't stop. Jazmin did a perfect job, very attentive. And everyone was friendly and accepting of my puppy being there too. He can be a little much but everyone was super hospitable. read more

Wanted to try out the Wednesday and Saturday Steak and Lobster deal for $20. We started with the queso and chips which were good. The steak was cooked well and the lobster tail was flavorful. We got the loaded potato, brussel sprouts and Mac N' Cheese. We all thought the steak and lobster was great but we were all underwhelmed by the sides. I highly recommend the steak and lobster deal. Can't beat steak and lobster special for $19.99 on Wednesday and Saturdays. Started off with a decent size Cesar salad which was pretty good. Also ordered a loaded baked potato. It's really big and definitely can be shared. As for the steak it was cooked the way I asked for it. No fat on it either. Lobster tail was on the small side but for $19.99 you can't complain. My wife tried the mac and cheese and she said it was missing some seasoning. Tasted very bland. There menu has tons of options to choose from. Breakfast, lunch and dinner for this 24 hour saloon. The ambiance in here is chill. Bar/ restaurant vibe. The bar is pretty big. The reason I went with 4 stars and not 5 is the service. Seems like they are overwhelmed. The waitress we had pretty much took our order, dropped the food off and dropped the bill off. Never came back to check on us or ask if we needed drinks. I did feel bad for her though cause when I was looking for her to get the bill she was all over the place. They may want to have more waiters working on nights where they expect it to be busy. Despite the mixed reviews i got my siblings to make this our next eat out place cause hello $20 steak and lobster (Wednesday and Saturday)!! We all got that special as well as mac n cheese and salad sides. Arnold palmers all around too. The lobster tail is small and steak was a good size but both were more than worth the $20. We shared a slice of carrot cake that was big enough to share and still had half for take home. We came at lunch and though they were full I got seated immediately before sis n bro arrived. I was reeled in by a tiktok video of a Steak and Lobster special for $19. I didn't really know what to expect. I've always been a fan of steak specials like the ones that are $7.99 at other places. We went here on Wednesday night and it was pretty busy but we were able to get seated right away. The host was really nice and pleasant. We sat down and she got us waters. Our server had a weird vibe though. She seemed almost uncomfortable while taking our orders. It was strange. We ordered a side of fries and caesars salad which was about $7-8 each. Which is pretty expensive for side dishes. We also ordered 2 of the steak and lobster special cooked medium rare for the steak. The pictures and videos make the steak and lobster look much bigger than they really are. They're actually quite small. My steak was medium well. The meat was super tough and chewy. The seasoning had a cajun flavor to it. The lobster was cooked perfectly on the other hand. My bf's steak was cooked medium rare but it was still tough and chewy. I am not sure what cut of steak this was but it didn't seem like an actual steak cut. I didn't have too high expectations as it is bar food and a steak special. The fries were not crispy but the caesars salad was pretty good. I ordered a cutter's lemonade and that was pretty good too. It didn't leave a memorable experience nor did it leave us wanting to come back again but it was worth trying out. read more
First time at John's Cutters and would have loved to give 5 stars but there were a few things that took away from a 5 star rating. I was super excited because my wonderful friends come here a lot when they are in town. We lucked up because they were having their steak and lobster deal for $19. As we waited for the rest of our party to arrive the waitress was Very attentive which I loved. We ordered our drinks and she brought out our waters. This was my first issue...the table size. As our drinks hit the table, I noticed that the table seemed pretty small for the few items we had. I understand it's a smaller place and they are trying to get as many people in as possible le but I didn't enjoy feeling like people were sitting right on top of me and having no space for food and drinks. It also turned us off to ordering an appetizer. I ordered the Steak and Lobster special and my wife ordered the Ranch chicken wrap. The food was pretty good except for my steak being well done instead of the medium well that I asked for. Which was also my second issue along with having to order a side for an additional cost at minimum $6-7. That would have made my "special" a little higher and again the table was super small so I decided against that. While there were a few personal hangup about this place, I would give it another chance. Their Happy Hour looks like it could be fun! I will keep you posted if we give it ago again but 4 out of 5 is still winning!!! read more

I would have previously argued that they have the best philly cheesesteak in town. Last time I was here that's what they served me. Today my friend and I both ordered the cheesesteak. Issuing g it was over cooked would be nice. The meat was burnt. There was a scant amount of onions and mushrooms. They didn't put bell peppers though I had asked for it. Lastly last time I had this white cheese gooey ness mixed throughout my sandwich. Today just a little yellow cheese sauce on top. Very disappointing overall. read more

False Sunday special advertisement! I went here today, with my daughter, after looking up online the menu. I wanted to check the prices to see if a steak dinner was affordable for us. I see advertised "Steaks 45, 50 half price Sunday's. Comes with salad or fries." I get there, order, waitress tells me it's a la carte. Confused I say but it says comes with salad or fries on the menu. She says "Not today. " Well I couldn't just order a plate of steak could I? I order salad for me fries for my daughter. Food comes, it's OK. It's fine, but not spectacular. Then the bill comes. $70 for what we ordered and 2 drinks! What the actual heck?! With tip it was $80! I would never have come here for this rate unless it was like to celebrate winning the lottery or something. I think this is a total rip off, not to mention false advertising! Tried this place tonight John Cutters on a recommendation and glad we did food was good Filet Nachos & Wings with fries all good, fries were perfectly fried & salted, good size wings, Bartenders Patrice & Chris introduced themselves & asked our names super friendly, great Service. Place has a great atmosphere and cool outdoor seating area. Can't wait to go back and try some of there weekly Specials that look great & are very reasonable priced. read more

Came for Sunday half off steak night as I was passing through Las Vegas. There are great options to choose from as far as what cut of meat you would like and I especially like how your size options are 18, 16 and 8 ounce, that comes in handy if you're a big eater. The steak itself is a good value even more so on half off night. The roasted brussel had good flavor but were a little soft. I prefer mine crispy but they were still good. Loaded baked potato wasn't really that loaded just tons of sour cream. The server were very kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is great and made for an overall enjoyable experience. read more

Ehh... it was OK. I'm not sure if this place is a chain, but if it's not, it seems like it could or should be. I ordered a philly cheesesteak (half), and it was okay. Could have used a bit more cheese, but maybe that's just me being picky. Salad it came with was good. (How hard is it to mess up a salad though, haha.) I also ordered a side of mac and cheese -- yes, I was really hungry! Oh my! The mac and cheese was good but SO FILLING. I should have split my mac and cheese with a friend (who also got her own side). I kind of wish the server would have said "hey, that's a lot of food you're getting." I know it's tough to gauge appetites and such but.. yeah.. we had a lot of food, and I hate wasting food. We were driving back to California, so the food wasn't going to come with us. I thought it was weird that they didn't have any beers on tap? Not holding that against them.. just thought it a little peculiar. Also -- the atmosphere is kind of confusing. The building from the outside seems family-friendly, but once inside, it's kind of dark? Maybe that is to keep everything cool since it gets so hot outside? Just a little... I don't know.. confusing. Yes, however the hostess staff is terrible and rude. Our waitress was awesome.
Is the gambling area separated from the dining area? Is smoking allowed inside the restaurant?
They have the typical video poker games at the bar area but no smoking allowed.
With this pandemic going on and customers like myself not feeling comfortable eating out, why doesn't your restaurant offer take out on the specials? I feel this is a time when you should allow your specials to be available to go?
