I use to love Dr Dovgan and his staff, but ever since he sold his practice to a corporation, his original staff has left, and the new staff is not good , especially America. The office staff is rude, does not follow through with estimates. I requested that my X-rays be sent to my new dentist, that was more than a month ago, they never received them. I also requested Dr Dovgan give me a call, again that didn't happen, and he probably didn't get the message. read more

Dr John Dovgan is the best : He made me feel very comfortable, ( after a traumatic experience someplace else ) kept his word from the initial consultation. He works fast and efficiently, always reassuring and MOST important - he listens. I had been a patient of John Dovgan, DDS for 29 years. As of today, NO longer! I was "double booked" for a scheduled dental cleaning! This office, from front desk to John Dovgan has gone into the toilet! Basically, the entire office's attitude is "take it or leave it". Every previous review was 5 STARS! After today, if it were possible I would give the entire business -0- stars. All of the original staff have quite or retired. Wonder why? For J W Dovgan, it is all about money! Be careful! read more

We have been patients of Dr. Dovgan for several years now. Unfortunately we will no longer be going to his office. We have been treated very poorly by the new front office staff since he sold his practice to a corporation and lost his whole staff. The new staff is very rude and unprofessional. We decided to find a new dentist and in the meantime we received a certified letter from Dr. Dovgan saying he is parting ways with us without even asking us what happened with his new staff and our names weren't even spelled correctly on the certified letters he signed. I am usually an understanding person but when your appointment time is changed and you are not properly notified, I have a problem. Then when you schedule a procedure and you are quoted a price you would think it would be honored since it was discussed prior and we were told that we would not be responsible if there was a balance due. Then on the second half of the procedure we were told the insurance is not covering the procedure and we had to pay the balance. That is not how you treat patients and run a practice. I was very upset which I had every right to be and I voiced my opinion and so did my husband. Unfortunately we should have read the writing on the wall last year when our hygienist left before it came to this point. You would think you would want to retain your long time patients but apparently that is not case. I will be sharing this information with everyone I have referred to his office and I will not recommend this office to anyone. Cheryl S. read more

I really can't say enough good things about this office! The office is in a great location, right at 40th Street and Thunderbird, with wonderful parking. The office is very clean, cozy, and welcoming. Sue, the office manager, is incredibly nice and friendly. She is very responsive to emails and assisting with any questions or concerns. Kerry, the hygienist, was wonderful!!! She did an amazing job! Extremely patient, gentle, and thorough. The worst thing about visiting the dentist are the x-rays for me. Liz, too, was patient, gentle, and understanding with me during that process! Dr. Dovgan is a very nice man and I always enjoy talking to him. He has a very calming and relaxed demeanor about him, so going to their office is always a pleasure. I highly recommend them!! read more

BEWARE: Dr DOVGAN sold his practice last year to a non responsive corporation. I have had a credit balance for two months. I cannot get response from his office to call me back. I have even left a message on their door. All they tell me is that "they have sent 2 emails(1 1.5 months ago) and "corporate just says it's in process!" Staff has no one they can call and "Dr Dovgan is on a European trip until 2023" sometime. The staff has ZERO ability to talk to anyone at corporate nor to even Email Dr Dovgan. The staff adequate BUT has no leadership to resolve even a simple refund. One year ago I gave this biz five stars. The entire long term staff left after the sale. One year later "BEWARE" of THE MONEY GRABBING CORPORATION! This is sad because Dr Dovgan is a good dentist. UPDATED: We finally received a credit to our credit card prior to year end and a lot of time, hassle, calls and a note on the front door (ignored by someone). read more

Great Dentist, I recommend his office to all my friends and family! There is very fast service, I have never waited more than 5 min. for my appointment. The waiting area is very relaxing, message chair, cappuccino bar, fresh baked cookies, refrigerator with all kinds of drinks. All the chairs in the office have big screen TVs in front of them, and the assistant gives you a remote and channel list every time. The staff is very friendly and professional. The equipment and instrumentation is all up to date. I had two cavities done by a laser. It was awesome, no shots, no pain!! Dr. Dovgan is great and very gentle! I would recommend this dentist to people who like to feel relaxed and be taken good care of when going to a dentist. read more

I was referred to his office several years ago by several friends - and it has been one of the best professional recommendations I have ever received ! As a new patient, I recently visited this dental office and left very pleased after my first visit. Both the dentist and his staff were very warm and welcoming. I hadn't been to a dentist in a few years and this alone was adding to my uneasiness about setting up an appointment for an exam, and then dealing with which dentist to choose on top of it all? (Like many things, putting off a visit to the dentist is never a wise move.) After sorting through many reviews I then settled on Dr. Dovgan's office and was glad I did. Both Dr. Dovgan and his staff had me feeling very at ease in no time. I found this dental location to be equipped with all the latest modern technology, very stylish & clean and not rushed for time...nowadays, a pleasant surprise. (...Also, special praise here to dental hygienist "Sonata" for her gentle approach and also for really taking the time to conduct a thorough exam and cleaning of my teeth & gums. Thanks, Girl!!) Additionally, also nice was the ample, easy access parking and the comparability in pricing to the many other dentists out there. :) Upon leaving I felt I had made the right choice for myself in trusting Dr. Dovgan and his team of professionals with my dental concerns and I learned that even though my end results were not perfect ( -due to my own actions- ), they were better than anticipated and attainable. Love my Dentist and Hygienist!!! I started going here in 06. They were my 1st choice because they were right next to where I worked at that time. So it was easy to go there over my lunch. Now in 07, I moved to Seattle and back to Phoenix in 08. Even though I live clear across town about 20-25 mins drive, I still would never go to another dentist. Besides the great service which I have become accustomed to, they also have video games in the waiting room (when I have my 10 yr old nephew), flats screens in the back, and of course those awesome cookies, with juice and water in the fridge waiting for you afterwards! I've never waited too long before any appointment. I typically get there right on time, and they are ready for me. Love them, Love them, Love them. I always have the same Hygienist too. I feel like I'm going to see an old friend. This is as good as it gets. read more

I am once again overwhelmed by the kindness, caring and immensely professional staff and doctor at this office. Mind you this was only my second appointment with them after my initial exam (which was awesome and very comprehensive). I went in yesterday for a pretty extensive amount of dental work including, extractions, bone grafting, crown prep and temporary 6 unit bridge. I have been soooo nervous about this work being done, but every single person I had contact with at this office went above and beyond to reassure me, make me feel heard and understood, safe and comforted and actually very special! I was told ahead of time, step by step, exactly what and how things would be done and the cost involved. My temporary bridge looks better that anyone's permanent bridge or implants that I have ever seen (thanks to Michelle and Lisa) It also, ended up being much less expensive then I had feared, which helped me out so very much! I am beyond grateful to have found these amazing professionals and to have put my trust in them and then having them all exceed my expectations! Good Dentist, BAD receptionist. What ruined my visit to this dentist was the overly abrasive receptionist,Sue. From the moment I walked in,she made me feel like a number. Dr. Dovgan,however, was a very pleasant man and hygienist Lisa deserves a raise for her friendliness.
