Johnny and his team do a lot of work in our neighborhood, and several people recommended Johnny Electric to us for their work skills and integrity. Two other electricians told us that we would have to have lengthy, complicated and very expensive wiring done to prepare for a new electric induction range that we are having delivered soon. We currently have a gas range, and the electrical plug for the gas range's panel lights plugs into a 120v standard outlet behind it. Chris arrived and said that before he wanted to address the possible need of the lengthy wiring method, he needed to remove the current outlet. He did, an he found as he thought he might, a 240v hidden right in back of the 120v. So he got a new deeper metal box to be able to use it along with putting in a new four-prong outlet. He also got everything set up on our breaker box, and we're now good to go. At just 18% of the original cost for the complicated wiring estimate, we are happy campers, and Johnny Electric will now be our go-to for all of our electrical needs in the future. read more

These people really know what they're doing because my project was to install a ceiling fan, plus run a wire from a switch to the ceiling. I learned from previous experience that a hole needs to be cut in the drywall, and someone else would take care of patching and painting, which would cost more for me, but these guys came earlier about half an hour in a matter of 10 minutes, they figured out how to send wire from attic without cutting through the drywall. I live in condo, the floorplan is kind of weird like my garage is under my neighbor to my right and the neighbor's garage to my left is beneath of my bedroom just imagine how weird the floor plan is that's why I was amazed that they could figured out how to send wire from a switch upstairs in the attic to the ceiling of the bedroom I thought there is no access from attic to the my bedroom, this way they prevented to make a few cuts on the bedroom's wall and saved me a good chunk of money for patching and painting. They did the whole thing in 2 hours, reasonable price, very polite, knowledgeable, and professional. read more

We had Johnny Electric come out and look at some outlets and light that did not have power. The technician managed to get the light going by patching power from a nearby outlet, however, he was not able to figure out why the other outlets did not have power. He charged us $249 for the job, and said someone else will need to come back to "troubleshoot". We made an appointment for the following weekend mid-morning (10:30am). Around 7:30am that day, we get a text saying the electrician was going to show up around 8am. We were not ready to have someone over so we canceled (btw, not cool to change our appointment last minute). Luckily, we decided to call another electrician. This new electrician looked at what Johnny Electric did, and very quickly figured out that a connection was not made which was needed to get all outlets working properly again. So we essentially paid $249 for a partial fix, and because the problem was so quickly fixed by the new electrician, we will most likely be going with someone else for future electrical work. read more

Had an issue with failing smoke alarms where the beeping was driving my dog (and me) nuts. Could not for the life of me get it to stop, even by replacing the batteries. Called Johnny Electric and requested same day service, we agreed on a time and they were waiting there when I arrived home at the agreed time. Chris and Ryan were the technicians on the job and they were great. They immediately found the problem and even offered me a couple alternative options if I wanted to save money. I had called a couple places last year to get a ceiling fan installed where no fixture was yet in the ceiling.
