Our server Teresita and 2 other people were trying to keep everyone happy and served. Teresita managed to juggle many diners, to-go, and checked on us constantly. Watching her was entertaining because she didn't let the crowd get to her. She just kept her head down, helped everyone and we never felt ignored. I can't stress what a nightmare our visit was during a get-together with friends. We understand it was a busy night, but this shouldn't be an excuse to give subpar service. In fact, the poor server stated he may not be able to keep up with splitting our bill (party of 3) or fully get our order down right due to how busy it was. In that moment I felt really bad for the server, he was practically the only one going around taking orders and bussing the tables all by himself without any support. That's not the worst part, just to initially receive our menus, we had to ask twice and took 15 minutes. To take out orders was 20 minutes after receiving our menu. Our food was received in a timely manner; it didn't take more than 15 minutes. To receive our checks, we lost count of how many times we requested but took well about almost half an hour. No complaints of the service since the gentleman was trying his best to hold down the fort all on his own. My complaint goes to management's poor attempt on staffing. If you have a small talent pool, try using Indeed where you will receive already pre-qualified applicants with Customer Service experience. Don't forget to also run an analysis on current market compensation for Servers across the other restaurants. Besides the terrible experience, the menu did offer quite some appealing and diverse items. I would also suggest dropping by on a less busier time. This Johnny Rockets, located on the top floor of the Garden Walk Ghost Town, is one of the smaller ones I've been into. But the food was very good and the service personable. There are a dozen tables inside and probably a dozen outside too but I chose to sit at the counter. I ordered the bacon cheddar burger, fries and a salted caramel milkshake. Look, a few days before I had an incredible gourmet wagyu burger and of course this can't compare. But it was better than any fast food burger so it lands somewhere in-between. The burger was big and juicy and everything about it was fresh; lettuce, tomato, onion and bun. And there was plenty of bacon and cheese on that burger too - I was blindly smiling with delight as I sped down the road to HeartAttacksVille. The fries were good - I liked them but nothing extraordinary. The salted caramel milkshake was phenomenal. It had a bold caramel flavor and had both giant pretzel sticks and little pretzels which you could dip and eat for the full salty-sweet experience. And yes, they do give you the tin too. After careful deliberation I'd give this Johnny Rockets 3.75 stars. read more

Well, well, well. Johnny Rockets. A place I always loved going to when I was younger for whatever reason and now it's a pretty mediocre place to be. I occasionally like to come here for a burger and fries but a shake is a must. Their shakes are tasty if you ask me, although I passed on my recent visit. I figured a Wednesday night would be safe but there was a 45-50 minute wait. I figure at this point there is no avoiding a crowd living down here. Maybe if I came at a grandma dinner time like usual due to my work schedule it would have panned out. I had waited until seven. So after hearing that number and walking right back out we ended up hitting Johnny Rockets back in the corner. They were busier than I had ever seen them at this location but there was no wait. We seated ourselves on the bar. I just got an iced tea this round and I ordered the bacon cheddar burger, single patty. My husband ordered the Houston burger. I got a half order of fries and half order of onion rings to add to our meal. Another place that does not serve sides with burgers. I was a little disappointed when I saw that they still had iceburg lettuce at this location despite the pictures showing green lettuce. I had heard that the Orange location had the green lettuce so I figured that it was across the board. Oh well. Other toppings helped that. The burger wasn't bad, but it wasn't awesome either. I didn't expect it to be. Also we noticed that the bacon is pre-cooked as there was a ton of it in a container and some on the grill cooked and set aside. I didn't notice though until my husband pointed it out. So average place to stop by once in a while. Not bad, not exceptional. I should probably stop in more often for a shake and a side as I love the shakes. I've been to a Johnny Rockets once about 10 years ago. I needed a quick bite before a concert at House of Blues and decided to try it again. It wasn't busy but was only 5pm so it seemed to pick up later in the evening. I noticed they had food cooking but it was not ordered yet so I guess it helps speed up the process. My burger only took a couple minutes to be ready and the beef patty wasn't too hot. So it clearly wasn't freshly cooked. All I ordered was an Original Burger with no mayo. It ended up having a ton of mustard though. It was a bit bland. I noticed they put salt and pepper in my to go bag so maybe they don't season it on purpose? The bun was good though. It reminded me of an A&W style burger. But it also cost $7.42 with tax for just the burger. I don't know if that is normal prices or because it is it near Disney. But I'd say it was way too much for what it is. Also, I heard they did cast member discounts but they said no this time. Some of the specialty burgers looked good but cost almost $10 so I passed. That's a lot for a fast food burger. The service was at least very friendly. The guys working were very nice. When we went inside, we were greeted with the familiar smell and old diner aesthetics, but a bit more run down since the seats me took at the bar were not in the best shape and it wasn't too clean in their either. We put in our order with one of the waiters at the bar. I ended getting a hotdog with all the fixings and my boyfriend got their bacon burger that had onion rings and cheese inside. The food took a bit to come to us since there was only one cook that was being ridiculed by one of the other workers for going to slow. Other customers that came in were either directed where to sit or just sat down where seats were available since the hostess was here and there. The food finally came out and the hotdog tasted good. The bun was toasted, the sausage was juicy and the toppings (mustard, ketchup, onion and relish) were the typical ones you get for a hotdog. Like the fat kid who can't say no to that final piece of chocolate cake that will no doubt lead to a fatal heart attack at age 14, I came here with migraine and stomach ache to down a Smokehouse Double with extra bacon, cheese, and raw onion. I am proud to be that fat kid because two days in a row, I've ventured here while sick as a dog to devour without shame the Smokehouse Double with fries, Ranch, and root beer. 2/3lbs. of hot, steamy, juicy meat filling my mouth and dripping down my chin. So big I needed both hands and several napkins to wipe up the mess that the beefy mass left all over my lips. It was heaven and I think I messed myself in the process but the booths are vinyl so it was easy cleaning.
