the food i would give a 3.5. maybe a 3. im being generous i think my experience wasn't bad or anything but this is a chain operation that used to be a much bigger operation in california statewide.... many of them closed so it's def a nostalgic relic of the past.. you pretty much just eat here for the diner vibes! i got the classic burger and it was pretty mid. the patty did not taste fresh and it was well-done. nobody asked if i wanted medium but i also don't think it would have tasted much better even if it hadn't been overcooked. the ambiance and the decor are cute! it's like eating at a place inside disneyland. the fries were good - but nothing special! i wish it wasn't salted so much! srsly. too much salt! my husband got the breakfast deal that's available from m-f and that was a really good deal at 8.99 - comes with cinnamon french toast, a little eggs (it looked to be 1.5 eggs lol), slice of bacon. forgot to take pics of food but it's whatever haha

Rubys in Anaheim - You can't go wrong with their shakes! Burgers were little greasy and lacks flavor. I was disappointed in the tater tots. Service was great. Clean restaurant. Fair prices. Casual family dining. Plenty of parking. Easy to find.

What's left of my 2Egg Breakfast. SO yummy!

The family wanted brunch on our last day of vacation. SIL found Ruby's and we said why not?! Classic diner with all of the mementos, fun atmosphere. You have a choice of how to dine, stay in your car and have your meal delivered by a carhop, inside dining room or outside on the patio. They also have a counter to sit at inside. We chose to dine inside. When we walked in it was quiet with only a few other diners. By the time we left the place was filling up. We were greeted by a very friendly server who took our drink order and returned with them in a flash. SIL ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast, daughter the Breakfast Burrito, hubs the Buttermilk Hot Cakes breakfast, and the 2 Egg breakfast for myself. The portions are huge! None of us were able to finish our meals! Everything was so good, service was incredible! Definitely a place to try!! I'm just sad we didn't find it on our first day of vacation!

My son and I visited mid-afternoon on a Sunday. Plenty of parking available in the parking lot even with the number of Tesla chargers out there. Acknowledged fairly quickly after walking in and seated shortly after that. Absolutely love the all-American diner vibe with the music to go with it. We chose Ruby's because they had breakfast all day. Learned that some breakfast items aren't available after 11:30am but they still offer a pretty big selection. I ordered the cinnamon roll french toast with scrambled eggs and ham. My son has the super burger with tater tots. Everything was exactly as expected. We also saw a Monday night special that offers 2 free regular shakes with the purchase of 2 burgers so we'll be back.

A Nostalgic All-American Diner with Great Vegan Options! There's something so special about an all-American diner, and Ruby's captures that nostalgic charm perfectly! Even though this location is close to home, I hadn't been here before--but I'm so glad I finally did. It was such a fun experience! As a vegan, I was happy to see that they had great options for me. I ordered the Beyond Meat burger, and the best part? I could swap that patty into any of their burgers, which gave me plenty of choices. Meanwhile, my best friend enjoyed a classic American-style breakfast, and he loved every bite. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, but what really stood out was the service. The servers were so friendly and attentive, and the manager working that day went above and beyond--super helpful, kind, and truly made us feel at home. You can never go wrong with a classic diner experience, and Ruby's does it right! Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast or a delicious burger (vegan or not!), this spot has something for everyone. Can't wait to come back!

My burger and fries! It should be called the yummy burger!

Yum and Yum!! I haven't eaten there for a while and so glad I went back! I looked over the menu and I couldn't decide since everything sounded good. I settled on the Classic Cheeseburger and fries. Can I tell you the food was everything I was hoping for. The burger was delicious, juicy and done perfectly! The fries were amazing! The seasoning was so good. I wanted more! The service was good. The servers were very nice and helpful. We sat on the patio since my friend had her dog with her. The patio is okay with dogs!! Just check in and let them know you have a dog and will sit on the patio... The restaurant was very nice and clean. If you don't know what to eat for dinner, I highly suggest you check out Ruby's Diner. Everything on the menu looks and sounds yummy! I don't think you will be disappointed.

Eat inside the diner or ordered food while charging through the QR code in the parking lot, really cool and convenient feature. Nice and clean diner with old school vibes. Great service and nice staff.

Omg. This Ruby's Diner was amazing both mornings I came here to grab breakfast. The French toast was sweet and savory- such a delicious treat for a morning meal to fuel me for a long day in the Disney park- but very well worth it! The restaurant was clean, servers were friendly, and the servings are on the larger side. Sadly the sign on the door said the location (on Lincoln) is closing the 27th of July 2025 . That's sad, because this diner is a gem!!! Let me tell you, if you haven't had their Chocolate shake, you're missing out.

Got greeted and seated right away. We ordered chilli cheese fries as an appetizer, it's a big portion! Good for about 4 people. We ordered the hickory burger and it was delicious! The burger is huge! Overall, the service was on point(Sophie our waitress was great!), the diner is clean and well kept, and all of our food was fresh, hot and delicious.

I've been a customer in the Anaheim location since 2013 I believe maybe longer. It's always been delicious the cherry coke is amazing. I get the cherry sprite and the classic burger. this place has a special place in my heart and will forever be a treat when I'm in the mood for a burger and cherry sprite. Service is always amazing never disappoints

Order to go after I got home. It was hot out, so the milkshake melted a bit. Also, Yelp need's a rotate picture option.

Hadn't been here in a while as it's a little out of the way but stopped here today to get some food to go. I'm sure there's an app where I could have ordered ahead, but I just went in and told the girl behind the register I wanted an order to go. She gave me a menu, waiting until I was ready, and took my order with no problem. She asked if I wanted some water while I waited, but then I decided to throw in a diet coke instead, which she got for me about a minute after I paid. In the days a cell phones, waiting just doesn't seem as long since I was playing a game, after checking in on Yelp of course. I ordered a milkshake with the 2 meals so when my food was brought out, she offered a drink holder for my 2 drinks. I love it when I don't have to ask for things like that. Sadly, traffic issues slowed me trip back home with the food, as the milkshake slowly melted in the 80+ degree hit coming through the front wind shield. Not even A/C is going to prevent that from happening. Getting home, the food was nicely packed and protected for the drive. Unfortunately, the fries also ended up only being lukewarm. Not Ruby's fault, just a matter of fact. The food was as I've expected over the years coming to Ruby's. Everything is getting pricey so expect to spend $20/person with a drink and a meal. Even so, this will always be my favorite Ruby's because of the historical nature of the building.

A lot has changed at Ruby's. The fries are now fatter and less crispy. The burgers seem shrunken. The available flavors of shakes has decreased. The service tonight was indifferent. The ambiance is still charming though we felt we were being rushed to leave. Would I recommend? No. It could be so much better.

Ruby's hasn't changed! I love the classic diner feel that ruby's has, it's theme and quality has been maintained over the years. While other restaurants change to keep up with the times, I love that Ruby's is just as I remember it growing up. Their burgers are delicious and are sure to satisfy your cravings, their sides are always fresh too. On our last visit we tried the chili fries, yum! Their staff is always welcoming and attentive, we really enjoy this location and visit monthly. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

What other better place to celebrate our friend reunion at a place called "Reunion"? ;)…read more We were looking for a good brunch place to try out and found this place near Corona. Parking: I had no problem finding parking spot as the lot is huge and shared with many other businesses. Interior: We were seated right away without any wait time as we arrived when they just opened. We were seated in a dark area of the restaurant (think bar vibe) so I was a little not sure at first. Most brunch places I went to were always filled with sunlight and bright colorful interiors. This place embraced a classic, quiet feel, something like a Steak House would have. Service: Our server's name was Susan I believe, who was nice and attentive through the whole meal, despite the crowd slowly built up and filled the restaurant. She never failed to check back on us, not just once but twice and refilled our water. She probably isn't as familiar with the brunch menu favorites but seem to know more about the Main menu. The General Manager came out and greeted us because most of their customers are regulars and it's uncommon to have first timers like us visiting. This nice hospitality made us feel very warmly welcomed and impressed. Food: I couldn't decide whether to go with the Slow braised beef on the brunch menu (braised beef benedict) or the main menu but ended up going with the Main menu to get a good portion size. It was a perfect choice because the beef is just amazing. It was cooked to a soft perfection, well seasoned, the roasted vegetable was also cooked just right and not super raw/ crunchy like other places. Then the star of the show arrived - the butter cake. As Susan suggested, this is their most popular dessert and I can see why. The butter cake comes piping hot with the ice cream on top. There's a nice sugar crunchy feel near the bottom of the cake. It's so delicious that I want to come back just to eat this cake. We had a great time overall and would love to come back.

It has this dark but classy aesthetic and I was not prepared for that (in a good way). This restaurant has been here for about 2 years with different ownership and menu so I was excited to see what they had to offer. Hugo helped us with our order and he was very friendly and professional. We went ahead and ordered the ahi tuna taco, pork belly bao, garlic fries, the margharita pizza, the yuzu lobster pasta, and for drinks I got the virgin burning thyme. My friend got that and other drinks as well. Ahi tuna taco - 5/5 probably the best food item for the evening. The tuna was fresh, perfect amount of kick in its sauce, and the outter shell was perfectly crunchy. I think them replacing the shell with wonton was exceptional with the texture. Every bite was extremely satisfying. Pork Belly bao - 4/5 everything was delicious. The bow itself is bouncy and moist. There wasn't anything special about the sauce inside with the pork belly, but I would definitely give it a try at least once. A great portion with your friends or family as an appetizer. Garlic fries - 3/5 It was a bit underwhelming, but nothing horrible. I could not taste the garlic at all, but the fries itself was cooked to perfection with the outer being pretty crispy and inside being soft. Margharita pizza - 4/5 I really like the crust and the breading of this pizza. It was crispy and the pepperoni was cooked to perfection. I really like the small pepperoni because it gives an immense amount of flavor in each bite. The cheese and the tomato sauce was fine, but nothing special. Yuzu lobster pasta - 4/5 I wish I was able to taste more of the Yuzu since that's in the name of the dish, but I could not. If it was just called the lobster pasta I would say it's amazing. The tomatoes were perfect to lighten the entire dish with the heavy sauce and the pasta. The lobster was cooked fine. Other than that it was fine, but I would say either enhance the Yuzu flavor or remove it in the name of the dish. Burning thyme - 4.5/5 I really like the acid and the balance of sweetness and sour in this drink. Usually, I get skeptical when I make an alcoholic drink version because the bartender tends to over sweeten the drink, but this was not the case, and I enjoyed it a lot with our food.

We then opted for apps. Steven had the wedge salad and I got the corn and roasted peppers bisque. Absolutely delicious. Unfortunately my soup was on their main rotating menu that I was told changes every two to three weeks. Now you see me, now you don't I guess? The main menu changes also, but less frequently. I was very tempted to try the lamb on the short farm menu, but since I hadn't seen it on their site, I went in planning to get halibut, and I did. I booked an afternoon reservation for a large party to celebrate my wife's birthday. I paid the required $500 deposit and committed to a minimum spend totaling a couple of thousand dollars for the dinner. When we arrived, we were refused service because my 12-year-old daughter was wearing leggings and was not dressed in what they considered "business attire." How ridiculous is that? According to the manager, "A 12-year-old is a teen and should know how to dress." Rather than showing any flexibility, common sense, or basic hospitality, they chose to turn away an entire birthday celebration over a child's outfit. There were numerous adults in both the bar area and the saloon wearing flip-flops, jean shorts, and other very casual attire. This establishment tries to present itself as a professional, upscale venue, yet several grown women on the staff were huddling together, whispering, staring, and giving dirty looks to a child, making her feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. Their behavior was far more inappropriate than anything she was wearing. The host staff, manager, and ownership should be ashamed of how this situation was handled. There was a complete lack of hospitality, professionalism, and basic courtesy. Fortunately, we ended up going down the road to The White House Restaurant, where we were welcomed with smiling faces and received outstanding service. The White House restaurant turned what could have been a ruined celebration into a wonderful experience. If you're considering this restaurant for a special event or family gathering, I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. There are plenty of better alternatives that know how to treat their guests with respect.

The tasting started out with a small spoonful of Vegetal Elixir Chartreuse to warm up the palate. This is the base spirit of both green and yellow Chartreuse and clocks in at 138 proof. It was surprisingly not harsh, but immediately kicked my salivary glands into overdrive. I didn't even know that vintages of Chartreuse was a thing, but Taylor walked us through tasting three different vintages of both yellow and green Chartreuse, and it was surprising how different they were. The lineup concluded with more rare varietals of the green elixir 1605 and yellow cuvee. Great job, thanks Taylor! Chef Kling presented each small bite which included a crispy Icelandic cod, a roasted beet crostino, and a lamb slider. All of them had a five star list of ingredients and were delicious. Strong Water is known for their excellent cocktails, but their food is also great. For my cocktail at the end of the event, I had the Bar Flower (Green Chartreuse, Crème de Cacao, Pineapple, Lime). This was so good, with the herbal and chocolate flavors perfectly balanced. It was served with a flaming lime half. This was such a great event! Chartreuse retails for around $100 a bottle, and the higher-end varieties cost even more. At just $45 per person, this event was an amazing bargain. Strong Water frequently hosts great events, so keep an eye on their social media for upcoming dates. I really love Chartreuse, so I went back a few days later on the last day of Chartreuse week to try a few of the other limited time cocktails. I started out with their twist on a Grasshopper (Chartreuse, Crème de Menthe, Chili Liqueur, Crème de Cacao, Cream, Cane, $22). This was a great classic Grasshopper, but the Chartreuse added a herbal complexity, and there is a dash of heat on the finish from the chili liqueur. Next I had the Flare Gun (Yellow Chartreuse, Overproof Rum, Italian Bitter, Lime, Cane, $20). The yellow Chartreuse definitely comes through, but it's softer and has a light sweetness, unlike the green variety. Even though it contains overproof rum, it is perfectly balanced and not boozy at all. I usually don't like bitter drinks, but the bitterness was at a perfect light level. I finished off with the Tales from the Black Lagoon which is my favorite drink here, and it's also a favorite of many of the bartenders. All three cocktails were a home run. Chartreuse is an expensive spirit, so those drinks cost a little more than average. Shout out to Karen, Joey, Edgar, Jordan, and Ying for excellent hospitality, as always. Strong Water is our favorite place. We can't wait to go back!
