Haven't visited (a) Tony Roma's in over a decade. Didn't even realize they were still around. They were one of our most favorite nations for BBQ. Then we received a regular promo from American Airlines Dining (loyalty points) that mentioned a Tony Roma's in Anaheim. So we went to rediscover a long lost favorite. It's location is literally across the street from one of the main gates at Disneyland. That said, parking was a concern but they have that covered with complimentary valet parking for up to two hours. Inside, the decor is not fancy. But it's perfect for the typical family of 4 dropping in after a long day inside the park. Theme park casual is the norm. Service was prompt. And the food exceeded expectations. Their ribs are the "fall-off-the-bone variety which minimizes nawing and maximizes the portion. Their BBQ sauce is dark and thick. Excellent. Prices are extremely reasonable considering their location and the cost of dining out these days. Anaheim has few restaurants worth the drive for us, but Tony Roma's is added to the list. For desert don't miss the Chocolate Martini. read more

Honestly not too bad of an experience, they closed their other location down in San Jose so my family was stoked to come here for nostalgia. I wouldn't say this is the best steakhouse but the prices aren't too bad for what you would usually pay for a decent steak. Parking was free with validation which was nice and the best perk here. Inside lighting was really dim but we sat at a large table with the whole family. I ordered a sirloin steak with green beans and a baked potato. All of it was really good and I devoured my whole plate. I added bacon to my potato but they didn't give that much. Also, I feel like they should change up their plating, it felt really small for a steak on it. Tried my brothers fries and they were not good. Came here with the fam for a nice sit down meal and had such a great experience! We started with Tony's Rings & Things, which was a huge hit at the table. Hubby got the potato soup and couldn't stop talking about how good it was. We also loved their Monday special where kids eat for just $2.99 with the purchase of an adult entrée. I ordered the beef short ribs, and they were incredibly tender and buttery soft. Hubby enjoyed the 1/2 BBQ chicken and had fun trying some extra sauces. The Filet Medallions & Baby Back Combo was another standout dish that we'd definitely recommend. Darn Tony Roma's. Why did you have to leave Hawaii?????? While driving back from Disneyland we saw it.... Tony Roma's. Could it be as good as the one back in Hawaii - long gone? One order of ribs shared amongst us. One bite. It all came back. Sure it's not Texas BBQ etc.... But does it taste good? YES IT DOES! It's a solid casual spot, though it's worth noting it's definitely more of a laid-back family/joint vibe rather than a high-end, fine-dining steakhouse. We started with some drinks and apps for the table. The classic Roma Rita was hitting the spot, and you can't really go wrong with their famous onion loaf--super crispy. The spinach dip and chips were also a crowd-pleaser and a great starter to share. For my main, I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich and a rack of their ribs. The ribs had great flavor and were nice and tender, and the sandwich had a solid kick to it. Overall, everything was good and the meal was totally satisfying. We celebrated our friend's birthday at the Disney parks and decided to take a break for dinner nearby. We walked across the street and were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was less crowded than dining inside the park, which made for a much more relaxing experience. Our waitress, Consuelo, was absolutely wonderful. She mentioned she has been working there for over 25 years, and her warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness truly reflected her experience. She made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived, and the service throughout the evening was exceptional. The food came out quickly, both appetizers and main courses, and everything was delicious. The ribs were especially outstanding -- tender, flavorful, and served in very generous portions. After we finished our meal, Consuelo surprised us with a celebratory ice cream for the table to share, which was such a kind and personal touch to celebrate the birthday girl. Had a great experience at this place, especially with a good server. He was pleasant, on point, and was a nice guy. I cannot quite say how much positive impact can be made by a great server. The place was clean and we were seated fairly quickly. My friend and I happened to be there during the prime rib special time, so we enjoyed their deal. The food wasn't bad at all, maybe not quite stellar either. Honestly my 4 stars are for their great service, clean and pleasant place. I'm not sure I would order the prime rib again, even with the special, but again it was not bad, actually a good deal. If your want a deal downtown, it's not bad. It's been a while since I visited this place and it's still as good as I remembered it to be. The ribs are delicious, not overly smothered in sauce. Onion loaf isn't too oily and for me it's a must order item whenever I come here. Anaheim punch is so very good and they are very generous with the amount of rum in it. I'm not sure why this restaurant only has three stars. My colleagues and I are at a science conference and we happened upon Tony Roma's. My friend said that this restaurant was known for their ribs. I had St.Louis ribs with bbq chicken. Both were so soft and absolutely delicious! Our server was wonderful and so attentive for all eight of us. He always had a smile on his face. The restaurant was family friendly and by the time we left all the tables were full and there were so many families since it's across the street from Disneyland. Tony Romas is always been a nostalgic place for me . Every time my family goes to Disneyland we always go here and the food is usually pretty good. I went this past weekend . I ordered a $38 ribeye and it was probably the worst rib eye I've had in my entire life couldn't even finish it no flavor no seasoning. No nothing. The caramelized onions that came with it tasted like they were straight boiled nasty. I always also get coleslaw which is always usually good this time It was horrible. Also, the only thing was good. I probably should have known better, especially given that this is an older-style chain restaurant. We were seated in a booth that was slanted and completely lacking cushion, it's clearly a very worn and outdated establishment. We ordered the potato skins, which ended up being the only decent item we had. I ordered the fried chicken and was disappointed to say the least; I barely touched it. Truly the best thing I ate all day and honestly worth mentioning on its own. Absolute standout. My husband ordered the chicken Caesar salad and enjoyed it overall, though the dressing was quite watery. The kids meals were a hit. One child had macaroni and cheese, the other spaghetti with marinara, and both were happy. I ordered the steak medallions cooked medium. Unfortunately they were very unevenly cooked. One was rare, one was well done, and one landed closer to medium well. The outside was nicely charred, but the inconsistency took away from what should have been a highlight dish. Now for the frustrating part. On Mondays, kids meals are advertised at $2.99 with the purchase of an adult entrée, which is great. However, when the bill came, I noticed each child was charged $4.50 for apple juice. That turned an advertised $2.99 kids meal into $7.49. I assumed it was a mistake, but the server told me drinks are charged separately, even for kids. That felt misleading and honestly pretty disappointing. If the kids meal price does not include a drink, that should be made very clear upfront. Overall, some really good food mixed with some avoidable issues. Amazing soup, solid kids options, but uneven cooking and surprise charges took away from the experience. I would consider coming back, but only with clearer expectations next time. read more

I remember growing up on Tony romas and taking my kids here also and now only a few locations are left in ca. the ribs still have the same awesome flavor I remember and the onion stack is still the best appetizer / side dish here to me. I'd still put them up above many of the other bbq rib chains but maybe I'm a bit partial due to all the memories we have had here. We came here hoping for a solid steakhouse experience, but unfortunately, it was pretty underwhelming. The filet mignon was not seasoned at all--it tasted like plain grilled meat. A nice escape from Disneyland... I used to have a Tony Roma's growing up and loved it. To my delight there is one across the street from Disneyland's walk up entrance on Harbor blvd. Don't get me wrong, Disneyland is great but sometimes you want something different after a couple days at Billionaire Mouse Land. It was everything I remembered. There was tasty food and the prices were reasonable considering that everything is overpriced in Mouse land. I ordered the original baby back ribs which was delicious, my son the loaded potato skins (one of my all time favorites), the wifey got the chicken salad and the youngest jedi got the kids marinara pasta because kids love pasta. It was great! all the flavors were what you wanted them to be and it was more than enough food. What really shined was the service. Our server was friendly and attentive. He was supported by a busser that was equally attentive and fast! The nice thing about this location was that they had a fully stocked bar that was big. After putting in 25K steps at Mouse land, a nice bar is great lol. At any rate, I'm glad that this chain is still around and if your in the area give it a shot, I think you'll like it! read more

Valet parking was easy on this black friday around 6pm. Waiter was efficient. Blooming onion came within minutes. Ribs and everything was above expectations....cole slaw sorta bland. If you don't like noisy/rowdy children, you may not want to eat across the street from Disneyland. They use low quality steaks. I ordered a rib eye steak which is supposed to be a top cut of beef. Tony Roma's ribeye was as tough as shoe leather. Maybe the barbecue is better but do not get a steak here. The service was subpar as well. No wonder why the place was only half full on a Friday night. read more
