Spiked banana shake with banana peel in it.

The shift lead/manager is rude to customers and doing a terrible job running the place. They had 16 employees, but only 14 customers and it still took forever to get our burger and shake. When we got back to our room, we realized our shake had dirty banana peel in it. Do better.

Can't go wrong at Johnny Rockets. I came here two days in a row. I was craving a salad and Johnny rockets grilled chicken salad surely cured my cravings! The salad was filling & had a variety of additions that made it great. The next day I came for a JUICY burger with the works & a side of fries. Also, there was a festival going on along the boardwalk and there were so many patrons looking to dine in and order for takeout but the service was extremely speedy nevertheless.

Was looking for a midnight snack and was happy this was open. Our waiter Willy was great. They were very busy since a lot of people just came from a concert. The onion rings were delicious. Smokehouse burger was decent. It would be better with some lettuce and tomato. It was supposed to be medium well but was cooked well done.

Yummy burger and onion rings served with a smile!

When it's off season or off hours, this place is a savior... it's basic but good, breakfast or lunch. When at Ballys, try Johnny Rockets!

    The stellar bacon cheddar burger.

First and foremost, my apologies to Johnny Rockets. For some dumb, pre-judgmental reason, I had always disregard this eatery as a cheap novelty. But one night at the end of summer, my girlfriend and I were in need of a midnight snack. The closest establishment that was open turned out to be Johnny Rockets. My girlfriend and I ordered burgers and fries and we indulged. From the first bite of my bacon cheddar burger, I knew this was something special. Medium rare and tasty, I was compelled to eat like an animal. The comfort food hit the spot in the best of ways, our server was amazing, and outdoor seating was wonderful. We look forward to going back!

Went to this old school spot for lunch on our mini vacation...We were greeted with a smile from Willy and seated in a perfect location where we could still see the water... He took our order without writing it down and remembered everything! I got the chili cheese dog, delicious and cooked to perfection, just the way I ordered it and I like it (which I did request from Willy and they followed my instructions). Mom got the grilled cheese, which was basic but still good (I took a bite...lol)...We shared the fries... The ambiance was perfect for a Saturday afternoon, and the music in between was a great addition... Willy gave us a smiley face with the ketchup, which I thought was a nice added touch! He made sure that we were happy with the food when it was received and he continued to follow up throughout our meal... JR hasn't lost its touch, old school hot dog still just the way I remembered it...One of my regular spots when I am in Atlantic City, JR will be seeing us again...Cheap and tasty lunch when you have been gambling...lol

I've never been to a Johnny Rockets before - and this was a great first introduction. Chain restaurants overall I think gets too much hate - this isn't meant to be a gourmet food experience. The place advertises its affordable burgers and fries and it delivers that excellently. The fries and tater tots are good, solid sides - they're fried well and taste exactly how you'd expect fries and tater tots to taste like. Their burgers are cooked to medium well (as burgers should be) but still retain juiciness. For something that is right on the AC boardwalk, it was very reasonably priced - and it even had vegetarian options for all their burgers. I love diners and the diner vibe - and this one delivers on that. Our waitress was also very nice - she joked around with us and regularly checked in to make sure we were happy with our food and offer drink refills. All in all, it was a great first introduction to Johnny Rockets.

Almost forgot to take a picture. But this is the original double.

Classic cheeseburgers, fries and malt milkshakes. The original double is one of the best burgers in town, hands-down. Paired with the ambience of the boardwalk and great music you're in for a good time. Weight staff is always friendly too and hard-working.

    Excellent Turkey bacon cheeseburger

Always crowded good servers and good turkey burgers which sometimes are not a option at other restaurants.

Very busy location but it's still a good one. I was with one other person and the one way to get a spot without a wait was to take seats at the counter which was fine. It's located between Hard Rock and Caesar's. There was outdoor seating as well. Even though it was busy our server took our orders after a very short wait and the food came out pretty quickly and it was good. They were also out of a few items(onion rings and something else). Not sure if it was from being busy or they just ran out. Our server was very nice though and polite. The milk shakes are amazing. This time I had a Peanut Butter and Banana shake. Also it was reasonably priced being it was right on the boardwalk.

Nothing spectacular as far as food. Just a classic burger type place. Reasonable prices and friendly service.

A happy hour event was also on the calendar for Thursday, meant to be a cheerful punctuation mark on a long work week. Then came the news: Wingcraft had closed its doors forever. No warning, no farewell, no wings. It is strange to feel stood up by a restaurant, but that is how it felt. One moment there was a place with burgers and beer flights, a hum of televisions and bar chatter, and the next there was only silence and a locked door. We were left wandering near the Convention Center, hungry and confused, like pilgrims whose holy site had vanished overnight. I give it two stars because once upon a time, the food was decent and the beer cold. But the sudden disappearance left us stranded, and the city felt emptier for it. Atlantic City is cruel like that, swallowing places whole and leaving only echoes where the laughter used to be.

Located…read morejust off the Boardwalk on Tennessee Avenue, it perfectly captures the laid-back beach-town vibe that makes this neighborhood so special. Great for a solo diner or a group or family. I stopped in for dinner around 6:15 PM and, as always, the atmosphere was welcoming. There's indoor seating, a full bar, and a fantastic outdoor space complete with games, a fire pit, and one of the best music playlists in town--often accompanied by live entertainment. It's the kind of place where locals and visitors naturally mix together, creating a fun and friendly energy. One thing that always makes me smile is the sign when you walk in explaining that the bartenders and servers may be outside and asking guests to let them know they've arrived. Honestly, who could blame them? With the fresh salt air coming off the Atlantic Ocean and the outdoor atmosphere they've created, it's exactly where I'd want to be too. Tonight I ordered the crab cake platter, served with garlic French fries and coleslaw. The crab cakes were very good, packed with flavor, and the fries were crispy, garlicky, and absolutely delicious. A simple meal done right. Everything was fresh and appealing, I eat small portions so I took one crab cake and some fries home with me. I did ask about dessert, nothing was available, I don't do sweets frequently, I'm surprised they don't request Momma Chocolate, at Bar32 to make some extras for days they are closed. My server, Bella, was upbeat, bubbly, and attentive throughout the evening, adding to an already enjoyable experience. Parking is easy, with both free and paid options nearby, plus curbside access. Whether you're a local looking for a regular hangout or a visitor exploring beyond the casinos, Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall is well worth the short walk from the Boardwalk. Highly recommended for good food, cold drinks, great music, and some of the best local vibes in Atlantic City.

They also have a great $25 dinner special on the weekends, however we weren't looking to eat that heavy. But the live music on weekends at 7pm brought me in without the specials. We started with a down East blackberry cider $8, and a wanderback Hugo pilsner $7. We took our time sipping slowly while the band's set up and began to play. I think our server was more eager for us to make a food order than we were to eat yet. But when we finally did order, we chose a Tennessee Avenue tycoon salad and the "Phish" grilled fish tacos on corn tortillas. The salad was fresh but ordinary, with grilled chicken, blue cheese, egg and bacon. Spouse opted for some sort of orange dressing instead of the normal avocado dressing, perhaps it was the same one I loved on the fish tacos, a chipotle aoli. The Phish tacos were on soft corn tortillas that needed more time on the flat grill with a little oil to crisp them up! The fish was nice and white with good sized pieces in each taco. The cabbage slaw inside was wet, mashed avocado and so was the aoli, so a little gloppy but good even if it fell apart. These tacos are normally served with a side of chips, so I asked what options I had besides potato. Our server happily volunteered a grilled vegetable side which I loved until I found out it was an $8 upcharge of which he didn't inform me when ordering. That's an extreme amount, for not advising the customer prior. We stayed for a second round, I had another blackberry cider because it was delicious. Spouse switched to the Blue Horizon Kolsch, but apparently it was high test because it was $10. It was a lovely evening but, room for improvement. The band was fantastic, played all our favorites and we stayed a lot longer as a result of the great weather and the lovely picnic tables in the "garden". The beer hall has done a great job making this a fun hangout!

He didn't seem too happy with that response and walked away. As intended, I sat at the bar and ordered wings and truffle fries. So I go to his spot in the casino and get online to order.. Nice location.. I get to the order counter.. I wanted what I had the first time. A crunch Cheeseburger! It's so good.. Just a cheeseburger with crunchy potato chips on it. You have no idea, it's so good. I just wanted to add a fried egg to it to give it that extra juiciness! I asked if I can add an egg, since I saw that they had another burger option that showed they added an egg.. I just didn't want any bacon.. Anyhow, that simple fried egg request turned into a nightmare.. ‍ They suggested I get the brunch burger because it has a fried egg.. But it also has Bacon and NO chips... I just wanted a crunch burger with cheese and a fried egg.. What's so hard about making that happen? After waiting for 20 minutes, watching people who ordered after me receiving their food, I decide to look at my receipt and I see that the order says no cheese for my burger. So I wait for one of the staff to come to the delivery window, and I explained to her that I've been waiting about 25 minutes at this point for my food. They then tell me that it's on its way. I told them all I want was a Crunch burger with an egg on top. They said no problem. We will give you the potato chips on the side. At the end, I will say that the burger is delicious. I just wish that they had more side add-on options like a fried egg. That would avoid all of the confusion. In any case, if you are in the mood for a good burger, I will definitely give Bobby's burger, a try. Great flavor, texture and they're delicious. The milkshake was also incredibly delicious. And I didn't get a chance to take pictures of my burger and fries because I was so hungry that I just devoured it. Stay tuned because next time I will have some pictures ready. Alright now, have a good one yall! -Ray

Once your order number hand written on the receipt is called, then it's brought up to verify it is indeed your order and to avoid any mix ups. They will not hand you your order without the receipt they gave you. There's even a sign at the cashier to be sure folks are aware of the policy. The crunch burger was not so much a smash burger as a regular burger on a delicious brioche type bun. So, unfortunately do not expect to have those flat, crunchy edges to go with the crunch of the potato chips added to the burger. The fries I ordered with the burger were plentiful and satisfying. These satiated my hunger with the side of spicy ranch and mayonnaise as condiments. There is plenty of seating and no need to feel rushed in that area. As such, it's a good place to spend a quiet time breaking bread.

I'll play first and eat later. Come back perfectly on time and what do I see? Couple that was still in the line when I made my reservation before them - was getting seated. And we had to wait another 10 minutes for the next table. After that it takes 19 minutes, yes I timed it, before server shows up at our table for the first time. I would have expected appetizers to be served at that duration. Later, I timed same thing for the neighboring table, still 14 minutes. I understand about being understaffed and overbooked. But in this case manager was present at the front and had not 2 but 3 greeter girls available. Why one or 2 of them did not convert to wait stuff? R just close half the tables. But no, we will keep running with a reduced service available. Guess what do I see next? Another busy server working exactly half the tables in my proximity who refuses to even stop by for a second. Nope, they each have their own tables and do not share tips - so he has absolutely no interest in helping those that are half a step away. And this is my favorite moment of the visit. By the 19 minute mark we both had made complete food decisions and were ready to go for beef Wellington. However, we learned from another visitor that dish is not cooked to order, but it's a conveyor. You might get that perfect serving or you might get completely cold undercooked meal that waited 30 minutes for you. Just get a steak, and order a custom readiness level: this way one will have to be next to it most of the cooking time. So, we get couple burgers with truffle fries and calamari. I'm looking for the menu section for English ale, and the only choice is Guinness. This is the moment where we should have left, but there would be not enough time to eat somewhere else decent. Calamari is ok, only ok. I was expecting something much better. I can easily take you to 3 places in central NJ that will give you best calamari of your life. Drinks came after app. So, even bartender is busy???? The truffle fries is the only start I'm giving this place in my review. But I guess that they come pre-seasoned in a frozen package, so it's hard to mess them up. Burger had a really good idea of combining pulled meat with your typical hamburger, and it would have been great it patty was cooked to order. I think mine was seating in a warm drawer for ages and then microwaved. Just good enough to eat. Overall this is the worst Gordon experience I've had, hint: try fish and chips place in Vegas. I will not be coming back even if some else is paying. Gordon, I would love to make you the best burger I can at home, then serve you some of the best ale and scotch money can get, and then we can drive to AC and shake up this place. PS. Manager was made aware of all troubles we had and yet did not made any attempt to play bullet out of you-know-what by offering round of drinks or cutting the bill in half. PPS. I run out of Guinness and server was never around to order a replacement. This alone cuts the tip in half in my books.
