Great burgers and fries, but my favorite is the apple pie ala mode! It has a very vintage feel to it that I love!

Service was a bit slow due to only one server on hand and her being pulled left and right. Burgers were very good and the bacon cheese fries came out fast and they definitely didn't skimp on any of the toppings. I love Johnny Rockets. This is always a go-to place when I go to the South Shore Plaza. My boyfriend and I are big fans of every part of this restaurant! The service, usually by a kind gentleman named Jay, is always efficient and served with a smile. The burgers are always amazing and taste the just same as the previous time. Those cooks are always on their A game and always working hard. I can't say enough about the chocolate shakes. They are thick and full of flavor, standing out from other shakes. I always look forward to going back to Johnny Rockets because of the wonderful experiences I have had every time I go there. read more

Staff was nice. Place is kinda dumpy. Very dark, was an hour before closing so maybe they had some lights off. They serve everything on small paper plates, Which is weird and makes eating a little messy.But the food was good and I guess that's all you can ask. read more

I have always eaten at J.R. when at the Mall. I recently went there and gave them my debit card. The bill was suppose to come to $25.00 and they charged my card $26.10. I called once that person couldn't help me. The next day supervisor called and said he was so sorry and was going to reimburse me the $1.10. 2 days later I received $.36. Called and was told they were busy. I ended up calling Corp. Headquarters and they apologized. Still haven't heard anything. I can't believe I'm getting this upset for the remainder $.74, but I am. Don't use credit/debit cards here! I think someone is walking home every night with extra money and I just happened to catch them. read more

Johnny Rockets Braintree I went there today and when I went to place my order, the male worker name (Jay) started to mumble and shake his head at me. When I aked him what the problem was he just again mumble something. I left and went somewhere else for my lunch. I will never be back to this Johnny Rockets. I work for a pretty big Company near this mall and it's my job to order lunch. I will never again order from them again. read more

Overall the charm is nice and the manager it seems like a nice fellow but the service is below par for a sit down restaurant. What expect for the prices you pay to eat there that it would be a little bit better . This is probably due to the fact that they are clearly understaffed during peak hours. Took 15 minutes to be seated another 20 before getting menus. Another 15 before order taken Staff looked right through you. Very rude. Food cold and would have choked it down if I was ever offered a drink. Staff is horrible. Avoid at all costs. Whoops give less than 1 star if possible. Never coming back. read more

So, let me just preface this with the fact that I am indeed hungover. All I ever want hungover is a hot hotdog with a perfectly toasted bun. I'd been looking forward to this hotdog all day. I talked about it the entire car ride to work (my poor poor carpool buddy) and texting the majority of my friends (all 3) about it all day. I finally get there and ordered my hotdog and fries. No line. Quick ordering service (emphasis on ordering). Then I preceded to wait a whole 8 minutes in an empty Johnny Rockets for what you ask. A COLD HOT DOG. What did I wait so long for?! The hot dog had obviously been sitting there for quite some time. If you watch my snap story it is a lengthy progression of hype and gloating about this glorious hotdog I'm about to eat to utter disappointment and dissatisfaction. It was so bad that I threw out the end of it. And I'm no hotdog rookie and I have had my fair share of Johnny Rocket hotdogs. I can confidently say I AM the hotdog queen and I DO slay. And I most certainly do not WASTE hotdogs. And to top it all off, my French fries were cold too. So let me be everyone's hotdog hero and save you from this poor poor excuse for what may be known as the worst hotdog I've ever had...and I've had a pink hotdog. Went to the mall today w/ my daughter for shopping and stopped by Johnny Rockets for dinner. The whole experience was nothing short of disgusting!! On arrival I couldn't help notice how dirty and dingy the waitstaff looked - their uniforms were yellowed w/ wear, stained and old and they looked like they had dirty kitchen rags on their heads. The whole restaurant looked old and faded and in need of a face lift. We sat in a small booth for two right next to the food preparation area and had full view of the the staff preparing and serving the food....and it was NASTY! First....the staff did not use gloves as they handled the food! I saw one girl who was cleaning the trays w/ a paper towel then start to prepare some cheese fries - no hand washing, no sanitizer....nothing!! I also saw a waitress run her hands along a dirty surface and then begin to make a milkshake....really, really grose! I watched our server prepare our bacon/cheese fries and was horrified as he served a plate of un-cooked fries, covered w/ lukewarm orange cheese sauce and covered w/ large chunks (yes chunks!) of stuck together pieces of uncooked bacon.... I was with my daughter and chose not to ask for the manager to complain about the disgusting lack of cleanliness I saw. We barely touched the cheese fries - my daughter's burger was OK, but nothing great. I couldn't wait to leave I was so completely disgusted w/ Johnny's. I have had prior positive experiences with this restaurant when ordering take out but my last experience was so dissatisfying that I do not know that I will be returning to this place when shopping at the South Shore Plaza. I went on a Saturday afternoon with my boyfriend a few weeks ago and we decided to sit at the counter. The restaurant was a little more than half full and there was a little line for take out. There were approximately a dozen staff working the floor. It took a few minutes for someone to come give us menus - they didn't say they were our waiter or identify who our server would be. Ok, fine. We are not picky, impatient people and are very understanding of a busy restaurant, as we both have food service experience. After getting our menus, we took a few minutes and made our decisions. We then sat there for over 10 minutes with closed menus in front of us, waiting for someone to help us. Employees walked by us many times without making contact. Finally, someone said, "he will be with you in a couple minutes". Not sure who "he" was, but no one came after a few minutes so we left. I have never left a restaurant before ordering. Not to mention, the space next to us was covered with the remnants of past patrons. We would have been more understanding if everyone was running around like crazy, but this was not the case. VERY disappointing. What's more disappointing is I wrote to Johnny Rockets letting them know about the poor customer service I experienced and weeks later I have not received any kind of response. The lack of customer service has really turned me off to a place I once enjoyed going to. I am extremely let down by this company and will not be returning, and have been telling people I know about this bad experience. (2 stars only because of my fond memories of delicious burgers, shakes and fries and ok experiences getting take out!) read more

I hate writing really bad reviews. But I honestly hope the owner of this location sees this, so they can fix whats wrong. I grew up with johnny Rockets and normally LOVE IT. However, every time I go to this location, it seems to be progressively getting worse and worse. Last night, Dec.19, 2015 at 9:30pm was so awful I don't think I will be back. Our table was not clean, it had grease and crumbs all over it, and a used cup from a shake. When I pointed it out, they seemed annoyed at me, There was a waiter who just walked around with his hands inside his apron, not working. The other girls there had to try to cover his tables too. this led to extremely slow service. The place was filthy, and gross. old food in all of the corners of the tables, the jukebox on the table was covered in grime, there was old grime and food on the floor under the bar stools like it hadn't been swept or mopped for a week. The staff began taking apart the vents on the grill to clean them in between customers, I hate to think what was falling onto the food in that area. Most of the staff except for 1 or 2 waitresses were huddled on one side of the counter chatting, hanging out and ignoring customers while there was a full restaurant of disgruntled people waiting for their orders, or waiting to even place an order. About 15 minutes after I left I began getting severe abdominal pains, and now the next day my stomach is a little better but still hurts. I can't believe one of my favorite places has gone downhill so much. :( read more

Awful. The onion rings were hard as a brick. The fries were so greasy you could see your reflection in your fingers after touching them. The employees act as if you're not even there, and just shout all the orders. read more

I can't believe what I am reading in some of these reviews. I have visited this Johnny Rockets at the plaza numerous times and there is a waitress named Britney who is as nice and pleasant as they come. She is also a very hard worker. My service here has been superior, but I usually visit during the week between 1130 am and 130 pm. The burgers are excellent and so are the chicken fingers. Service is excellent when I visit and you just go inside and seat yourself if you are going to eat there. read more

I literally never use Yelp, but felt the need to write this review because of how phenomenal my service was at this Johnny Rockets. If you guys actually read this, you NEED to give Becky a raise, or make her a manager. She was nice, professional, quick, did not make any mistakes, and quite honestly was working 10 times as hard as anyone else working there. She was taking orders, on the grill, making shakes, working the register, seating people, and even took the time to write "Have a happy holiday!" on each of our receipts! It's small things like this that go a long way. It was the topic of conversation at my table for a while, as we watched as the other employees were standing around and having pow-wows left and right, while Becky did all of the work, for all of the tables. We all gave her a huge tip, because she deserved it 100%. Anyway, the food here is always great, so keep up the good work. And hire more Becky's. And for God's sake, give her a raise! read more

I love Johnny Rockets a lot. I usually eat there with my friends at another mall. So today we decided to go have dinner at this location. It first took them 5 min to clean the table which was not terrible. We sat down got the food and waitress was nice. But what really made me and my friends angry was that when the bill came the waitress lectured us on why she was not giving us back our change!!! She thought the change was her tip. My reaction was I'm allowed to get my change then figure out the tip on my own. So we never got our change back because I did not want to fight with the waitress. It literally felt like she was lecturing us in math and treating us like we are stupid!!!! And let me add that this waitress was so rude after the bill came that she caused one of my friends a major panic attack!!!!!! I honestly feel like after this experience I never want to come to Johnny Rockets again!!!!!!! read more

I'm not a fan of burgers, but they have some other options. I give it good ratings because it offers egg-salad sandwiches, which are a rare find. Also, it costs three bucks. If there was a half star I would've chose it. To start, we waited in line for about 10 minutes (the place had couple of people only). We finally get seated next to the kitchen and my eyes couldn't believe the filth. Food and dirt were all over the floor, the cashier/waitress was ringing up people and then grabbing fries with her bare hands and putting them in the fryer with NO gloves. We ordered turkey sandwiches with their "famous" chili sauce. The turkey patty tasted like rubber and you can just tell it was out of a box that has been there for days. Their famous sauce is just actually ketchup. Service was just as awful since we barely saw our waiter. The restaurant was in complete filth so do not waste your time eating there. My family and I went to Johnny Rockets in the Braintree Plaza. I had a burger Medium WELL . I had about three bites and I could not eat another bite as the burger was cold. Also, the restaurant is filthy. I have stomach cramps and other issues and I know it was from that food as that was the only thing I ate all day. So I would NOT recomment this place!!!!! Had a great , quick burger and our waitress was excellent. Counter staff was beyond rude ! Swore at me and my 24 year old daughter , all in the presence of my 2.5 yr old granddaughter. I will NEVER go back to this place. I have never been treated so badly. Told me to just F'ing leave, then stomped off saying she f'ing quits. Not a single apology or acknowledgement of how we were treated. My offense ? I tried to pay my bill at the counter, as that was how it was done the last time I was there. I went to Johnny Rockets with a few friends. First it took them about ten minutes to clean the table. It wasn't too bad. But then we asked for our bill to be split and JoJo said that she couldn't split it and then she refused to give my friend and I change and gave us a math lesson.
