From the very beginning, the customer service was great, and I was very impressed with the quality of the burgers, especially The Original Double, which was absolutely delicious. I would like to especially highlight Tobías' proactive attitude in the kitchen. I originally ordered my food to go, but after noticing how pleasant and comfortable the place felt, I decided to dine in. Tobías made sure my burger was served hot and even prepared it again to ensure the best quality, which truly shows his commitment to customer satisfaction. Additionally, the service from Sara and Lindsay was outstanding super friendly, attentive, and always smiling. It was a cheap chopped up hamburger patty, ( check out the lady's picture, it not sliced steak) no green peppers and they said they had no mushrooms. However, I noticed another guest across the way that had ordered the Mushroom and Swiss. I hadn't had anything to eat all day and so ate 3/4 this of it. It was pretty darn skimp too, which was good, because it just sat there in my gut all night, couldn't leave the house the next day! Could there be stars in the negative? This Johnny Rockets location holds a lot of nostalgia for me. Several years ago, it was where my wife and I had one of our first dates. I still get the butterflies in my stomach when I walk in the doors. So recently, we were in the area and decided to return. They do a fantastic job with branding-everything is retro, 50's diner themed. It looks great; very appealing from the outside. Everyone recommends getting a shake here, which I had intended to do. But the menu smartly shows the calorie count on food items, and the 900+ count deterred me. Not that my food choice was much better, but come on? You don't go to Johnny Rockets for healthy food. I ordered a burger and fries with nothing on it. And that's just how it came-it was prepared as I requested and cooked just right. The flavor was pretty bland-nothing that makes it stand out. I wouldn't say I was disappointed, but I wasn't eager to return either. Service was adequate. We did have to request a refill of our drinks, but the person taking our order looked to also be helping prepare the food behind the counter. So they may have been short staffed. I always think I should like this place more than I ever actually seem to...maybe it's the name, not really sure, but I love the 50s vibe, like many other persons (hence the popularity of the Fallout video game franchise), so it could be that. It definitely is not the food, which was once again rather underwhelming. This time, I went for a burger of some kind, don't now recall which. I subbed onion rings for the much less expensive jalapenos and naturally there was an upcharge. Sigh. Burger was okayish, nothing bad per se, but nothing I'd ever really want to have again, either. I also got the jalapeno poppers instead of fries (I guess everything is al a carte now), which were a pretty pedestrian version of that, though there were more than I was expecting...still not enough to make up for the $25 this wound up setting me back, though I think I'm permanently cured of this particular chain after this visit, so that's something. Apparently Coke Zero is gone now and I went through a couple different drinks trying to find something palatable. We came into the restaurant at 5:30pm but there was a rude lady at the counter that couldn't communicate with us in English so I asked for another cashier who said that they can only do a Togo orders because they close at 6:00pm Which wasn't too bad but the First Lady that helped us was extremely rude and was trying to make us feel bad because we don't speak Spanish. So it's been a long time since I have eaten here. And my daughter has been begging me to bring her back. Apparently she came with some friends and absolutely loved everything that she ate. So we drove over a half an hour out of our way through crazy traffic to get here. I'll be the judge of how awesome it is. When we got there the waiter greeted us and sat us at a booth. He was very quick to bring us drinks. And was super attentive the whole time we were there. He was nice with all of extra additions that we added/special orders. The second time we asked for a little extra ranch, he went ahead and brought us two. Which was great. He did a great job considering he was the only water take care of all of the tables. (It was 2:00 so not a super busy time typically). My daughter ordered the chicken strips which she absolutely loved! She also ordered chili cheese fries. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and a side of chili cheese tater tot's. She got a Coke and a strawberry Oreo shake. Which she just raves about. It tasted a little too artificial strawberry to me, but she loves that flavor so she was pleased. My food was OK. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but I also wasn't as hungry as she was. It was fine. I was a little disappointed with the bill though. We thought the burgers/tenders came with fries and we were just up charging slightly to add chilli. Nope. They don't come with fries. We were buying entire other orders of the fries and tater tot's. So the check was over $40 when I was said and done. A bit more than I was expecting. Especially considering the fact that there was a big sign on the window that said happy hour between 12 and 4 o'clock if you get a burger and fries and a drink it's only $10. NOT what we paid at all! Great burger, small portions, high price tag and bellow average service. We were the only ones in line. We did not have to wait to be seated but we waited at least 20 minutes to be noticed by a waitress. Once she took our order, the food was ready in less than 10 minutes. The hamburger was amazing, very tasty and with the right amount of ingredients. The fries were good as well but the amount they served is too little. The cost for fries with the burger is $2 extra. They served the burger and the fries on a little 6" plate, making the amount of skinny fries minimal. If they are going to charge extra they should at least use a normal size plate (10") for the fries and burger since the burger along is around $10. read more

My husband came here for a date night. We have the starving student discount card so we were able to get free fries & a milkshake of our choice for half off! We also got the mushroom & Swiss burger to share but we ate it too fast to get a picture of it! Overall our experience was was pretty good. Nothing over the top or amazing. Just typical diner service. I am surprised they don't have very many good reviews. It's a decent place. Sure there is room for improvement but our experience was not bad at all. Let me start by saying that my wife says giving this place a 3 is a stretch. But hey it wasn't all bad and we all enjoyed our shakes at the end of the meal. So primary tip...have a milkshake from Johnny Rockets. The rest is at your own risk. I really enjoyed the Peanut Butter shake and if that is your thing you will enjoy it. The rest of the family had chocolate shakes and they dug the shake and the old school metal container leftovers you get. On this particular day, the restaurant had 2 wait staff and there were maybe 8 or 9 people in the whole restaurant. We were seated immediately at around 330 pm but we didn't have our order taken for almost 20 minutes. After which it was almost 10 minutes before we got our drinks. I had the chicken strips. They really had no flavor, they were just frozen style chicken strips that were overcooked. Also ordered the cheese fries/tots which I thought were ok. My wife did not care of the fake cheese sauce but I thought it was what I would expect from this type of establishment. My daughter had a burger with ketchup only and she didn't like it and didn't eat it all. Said it tasted funny. I thought it tasted like a frozen meat patty you get from the Walmart freezer section. Another note, almost every picture in the place is crooked. It was kind of distracting. Might not have been as big of a deal if we weren't waiting for 30 minutes but either way it seems like the lack of attention to detail is probably reflective of the food you are getting. Booth was filthy, ketchup smeared all over the place and on the mini-juke box, sticky floors, deteriorating wobbly chairs, our table was lopsided as if it were on 3 legs. Here's a report from the last 3 times we've been here: Each time we ordered the vegan milk shakes. Only once it was done correctly, the other time, they didn't have the plant-based milk, and the third time they screwed up the shake and put real, inflammatory milk in the shake which caused incredible gastric distress. In other words, you can't trust them worth a damn to honor your dietary restrictions. I don't know who is running this place, but it needs to be gutted, but only after a swift butt kicking by a Jon Taffer type. After frequenting this place often, we vow never to return. read more

My daughter and I were recently at the TM outlets and while doing the Halloween jack-o-lantern scavenger hunt, we decided to grab some lunch. Upon entering, the place was not very busy and literally only 4-5 tables total were occupied. It took longer than expected to be acknowledged and seated. The staff was nice enough but not ultra helpful. The service is slow and the food was disappointing. High prices, inconsistent and odd portions. I even questioned the waiter as to whether my hamburger was suppose to look the way it did as it was mangled and barely being held together. He tried to explain it away to me as if it's normal and only looks that way because it's "real" and "quality" and "lower fat" meat. My $12 meal was honestly smaller than my daughter $6 kids meal which is odd. My fries were barely warm, my daughters slightly warmer and crisper. It took us quite a while to get our food despite the restaurant not being very busy and also had plenty of staff literally standing around. Not impressed or satisfied. This place has always been a fun place to go. But this time the supervisor Justin made things really uncomfortable. We ordered our food and then asked if we could order some food when we left to take to our kids at home. He looked at us and said that they had a policy and if he doesn't see the kid you can't order off the kids menu. So guess mom is cooking The food was not great either. I got the filly cheese steak and it was extremely dry with no flavor. My husband got the smokehouse burger and said it was not bad but not the best. Until recently, I always thought that Johnny Rockets was just the in-house, pretty bad theme park restaurant at Six Flags Magic Mountain. I had no idea it was something outside of the park up until a cruise a few years ago. Then I started seeing them pop up in other places, such as the location here in Lehi. The area is sorely lacking a really good burger place. Unfortunately, Johnny doesn't solve this problem. Everything here tastes like fast food, but for double the price. If you go to their website, they boast that their food is made from all your favorite brands...like Jennie-O turkey, Kraft, Sargento...basically all the same stuff everyone else is making their food with. So, if you're looking to spend twice as much as you would at the Wendy's down the street, for the same quality of meal, go ahead and eat here. I will acknowledge that it's better than the Six Flags Magic Mountain one, but that is not a very high bar to beat. read more
