It simply wasn't good. This is located within the Great Escape lodge. I ordered the cheesy bacon lovers scramble. It was not good. There wasn't much bacon either. Instead of bacon being throughout the scramble it was all towards the end and there wasn't a lot. It was more of an onion lovers scramble (see picture). There was so much onion, which was very unsettling. My boyfriend ordered the Philly cheese steak and eggs. He didn't like it at all. It's very rare for him not to like something, so that definitely says a lot! He said it was also burger meat and not steak in his scramble. The only good thing about our breakfast was the potatoes. This was my first Johnny Rockets experience and it was okay. The burgers and fries was nothing to rave about. Yes, the retro vibe does set the aesthetic of that era, but that's as much as I can say. This location is huge with many booths and long table setups in the back. Placed order with Waitress who was cordial, not the friendliest, nor did she give any good recommendations either. The burgers were just okay, but the fries were really disappointing- all were soggy and greasy. This is not the impression or expectation I had for the chain restaurant. Maybe next time I need to lower my expectations. Prices are average and this establishment did honor my food vouchers from my lodge room stay. read more

This location is located next to a hotel and across the street from the Six Flags in the Lake George area , where many people stop in after a fun day at the amusement park . We have eaten at this location in the past and thought the food was very good but I'm sad to say that is no longer the case . Hence the 3 star review and that was because the hostess and servers were wonderful. The restaurant was filled with customers seemingly enjoying their meals .On arrival we asked to sit outside. The hostess was friendly and polite and we were quickly seated . Our server too was very polite and attentive she took our orders quickly and brought over our drinks within a few minutes. I ordered a Margarita which was prepared well and was very good , probably the best part of my meal ! We did have to wait about 30 mins for our meal to be served which I felt was an average wait time . We just ordered burgers and sweet potato fries , how can you go wrong ? . When it arrived at the table we were surprised to see how small the serving of potatoes were and the burger was closer to the size of a slider .The burgers were adequate and standard nothing special but the fries they were just plain AWFUL, rubbery , chewy and tasteless! There are not enough people to help manage the minimal crowd. Fries and onion rings were not hot - it was obvious they sat under a heat lamp. The hostess seemed annoyed we did not want to sit in the hot inferno where my friends husband sat for over ten minutes with no service. Burgers were good. Walked into a 3/4 empty restaurant and had to wait 25 minutes to sit, once sat another 20 for a waitress, then another 20 for the drinks to come to the table. Ginger, the blonde bartender is very unprofessional! We were sat in her section at the bar and when she saw, proceeded to flip out and argue with the hostess in front of guests. We would have and had no problem waiting if she was indeed busy, although with the 3 people at the bar, I can't see a bartender who has "been in the industry over 20 years" being that overwhelmed adding in a 2 top. Someone else took our order for her to put in which must have never got put in as we never even received the fountain drinks we ordered. Another twenty minutes for it to be fixed. Came out wrong again no cheese no bacon. No discount for improperly made food. All in all not a great experience would NOT recomment. The place was literally empty at 7p on a Thursday. No customers...i guess the locals know better. I'll say the customer service was fine for us..our orders came out a little slow but the wait staff was nice enough. Maybe because they were bored? But this place fails when it comes to food. I've had a better burger at Wendy's but didn't have to pay almost $9 for it. The burger was pancake thin and leather tough..yet still grey and greasy. We called in our order for dinner, when I arrived at the restaurant, I only saw two people that were eating there, I had to yell out for the waitress to pick up our order...then the waitress came out I gave her $50 bill, and said that I just needed $15 back (covered the cost of our meal and tip), she said because they "don't do cash" - she called the Manager to get change for me - at this time I just wanted to pay and get out - Seriously ?? Incredibly understaffed. The staff they do have are clearly overworked and having a difficult time. One waitress yelled at a table who had been waiting for a long time. Our waitress was kind but kept asking if we wanted to stay and eat because it was going to be a long time. I'm homeless and have been for a minute and this area of the adirondacks. When I talked with the manager there lori, and Jake one of the supervisors, they treated me very well, we're very sympathetic and even offered me a free meal. I can't speak for the quality of the food, or the taste, or the restaurant experience, as I am grateful and always in gratitude whenever someone tries to help me out or do their best. I was actually trying to get a job here so I can become a cook so I can make good food, but unfortunately the human resources department I.e. corporate interests unfortunately said no to my job offer. I had already been through two interviews, and everything was set between me Lori and Jake but unfortunately things did not work. Even so I write this review, because of the kindness of lori, her compassion and concern for me, and the kindness of the team. As I said I don't speak for any quality of food or any restaurant experience or anything, but I do speak of the kindness when someone truly listens to the story and truly helps me out. I don't typically meet as it is, but I was very hungry that day, and they helped me out quite a lot. They say beggars can't be choosers, which isn't always true, but if I had to choose, I would work with Lori and Jake again. Not gonna lie I read the reviews and was quite nervous, but overall the experience was pretty good. The food was to be expected, slightly pricy. The only thing really knocking points was that it was a little dirty on the inside. You could tell it was a little old and outdated and the floors and walls were a little stained and dirty. I am unsure why others had issues here. This place was a pleasure to eat at. The food was fresh, hot, correct, and served with a smile and pleasant attitude. Yes Johnny Rockets is a burger place, it's huge, and they do I am sure get testy. However; some of the issues encountered might be the result of this place being right at Six Flags gate and the Six Flags indoor water park which lends to hyperactive kids and stressed out parents. So give this place a break as they have to deal with uncontrolled kids and parental attitudes. I found the staff helpful and pleasant to talk with. I've been to a Johnny Rockets years before in Destiny USA. Everything there had been great. We were visiting Lake George for the Adirondack Nationals car show. The place looked abandoned. There was only one family there at 5pm. Our server seemed nervous, but was attentive and helpful with our order. We both got the bacon cheeseburger and a side order of onion rings. If i could give this place a rating of zero stars i totally would. Another 20 mins goes by and they finally come out again , this time my husbands was made correctly but mine was not , this time no relish but it had tomato on it so i sent it back again. 15 mins later it comes out again and it was WRONG again!! another 12 mins goes by and it comes out again this time made correctly but it had SO much mustard on it it was dripping off the burger and the burger was so over cooked it was like chewing leather (i asked for medium). I ate a couple of bites and couldn't eat anymore it was so bad. we then get our bill and it's almost $60 so we ask to speak to the manager , the manager comes out asking what's going on so we tell her the situation. She then comes back with an insane amount of attitude asking if we asked for a manager while all this was going on , we replied no it should be the waitress job after both of our meals were wrong the first time let alone 4 TIMES. she then tells us there's nothing she can do so then my husband tells her he's not paying $60 for service/food that wasn't worth $10 she gets all huffy and puffy and goes to speak with the waitress. manager then comes back with the check and she had taken off everything but the milkshakes and the appetizer which came to $20. we were okay with that so my husband gives her his card and 15 MINUTES later she comes back with it. it doesn't take that long to cash someone out. this place should not be in business anymore. do not waste your time or money here. read more

Its a typical Johnny Rockets. Greasy fries smothered in chesse and Burgers. But the Milk Shakes are great, service was prompt and friendly. Having eaten at other Johnny Rockets in the past in locations from South NJ to Niagara Falls Canada, I knew what I was getting, so my expectations where right where they should have been. Nothing horrible to report, service was good and food was exactly what I expected, as ordered. The wait was within acceptable parameters. If you are looking for a "gourmet" burger then you shouldn't be heading to Johnny Rockets in the first place. If you want my honest opinion, it was the worst meal I have ever had in my life. Customer service was fine, our waiter was very kind, thought they brought out the wrong milkshakes to the wrong table and then brought them to the correct table after we touched them ( but didn't drink them ), I would be disgusted. The salads came out on a plate smaller then my iPhone XS Max and the burger tasted like plastic. The fries and onion rings are something to not even get me started on. I don't know where to start . Well, the minute you walk in , you smell a rotten egg or a mold smell throughout the whole place . Someone put the jukebox on and it was so freaking loud ! I had to ask someone to turn it down . Then you wait to get seated . And it takes a while to have a waiter come over . I had to get up after 20 minutes and ask for my waiter . Then the waiter comes over . The guy looked like the character "Poindexter" from the 1984 movie Revenge of the Nerds. To make a long story short , the waiter screwed up the order , but the food and the shakes were good. The waiter was very apologetic and even admitted it was his 3rd day on the job. Been to this JR location a couple e of years ago enjoyed it then. However this visit was completely different. First noticed that the menu changed. The previous visit the menu had many more options. The main attraction seemed to be the burgers and fries with just a few other option as compared to the last visit. Understandable I do like a good burger. I ordered a burger with cheese tots. Not good! The bacon on the burger was almost thicker than the burger it self! The burger was over cooked and dried out. The tots were good if you ate the ones without the cheese. The cheese sauce had no flavor and I compared it to an orange colored flour and water mixture poured over the tots. Extremely disappointed.
